Upgrading for mobile me from 10.3.9
Hi there fine people. I need a bit of help. I'm a bit behind the times and need to upgrade in order to access the mobile me stuff. I'm running 10.3.9 and am really unclear what to do next. Is 10.4 free? Any help would be appreciated.

Here is some additional info.
Mac OS X Versions 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5, are complete system upgrades that must be purchased.
Once an OS has been installed, the point upgrades, such as 10.1.x to 10.1.5 (Final) 10.2.x to 10.2.8 (Final), 10.3.x to 10.3.9 (Final), 10.4.x to 10.4.11 (Pending), and 10.5.x to 10.5.2 (Pending), can be downloaded for free.
If you call Apple Phone Sales 1-800-692-7753, you can order Tiger 10.4.x, for $129.00.
If your Mac meets the Leopard System Requirements, the Full Retail Version, of the Leopard Install DVD, can be purchased at The Apple Store (U.S.).
If you know what to look for, a Full Retail Version, of the Tiger Install DVD, or a Full Retail Version, of the Leopard DVD, can also be purchased, sometimes less expensively, at some online Apple retailers, Amazon, eBay, FastMac, HardCore Mac, AllMac, etc.
This is the correct one Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, (DVD) Retail $149.95, at AllMac.
This one Mac OS X 10.4.6 Tiger, (DVD) Retail $249.95, at FastMac.
And this one Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger Retail &229.99 at HardCore Mac.
Be sure not to purchase grey, upgrade or machine specific CDs or DVDs.
Tiger and Leopard are on DVD.
The discs should look exactly like the images in the above links, and not say Upgrade, CPU Drop-in DVD, or "This software is part of a hardware bundle purchase - not to be sold seperately." on them.

Tiger On eBay

If your Mac meets the Tiger System Requirements, once installed, you can use the PPC 10.4.11 Combo Update, to upgrade to the current version.
If Leopard 10.5.x is installed, use the Mac OS X 10.5.2 Combo Update.
The posted RAM System Requirement, for all versions of OS X, is the bare minimum.
For optimum performance, more is recommended.
Additionally, Tiger 10.4.x & Leopard 10.5.x ship on a DVD, so if your Mac doesn’t have a built-in DVD-ROM player, you will have to use an alternative method of installation.

I stopped by my local Apple Store yesterday and asked about purchasing Snow Leopard for my macbook. I am a mobile me subscriber and I was told that there is a free upgrade available on apple.com. I have searched, but cannot find the form to fill out to receive my disk. Anyone know where I can find the application?

Changing settings for Mobile Albums?
How do I change my setting for mobile albums from all of my photos to specific photos I select? I initially set up by selecting all photos but want to change this. I do not want all of my photos in Elements to feel to my phone, but I do want all the photos I take on my phone to feed to my mobile library in Elements. Any suggestions?

I am facing wifi and mobile 2G signal issue after upgrading to IOS 6 from IOS 5 in IPhone 3GS. The mobile carrier signal as well as WIFI suddenly drops zero and are then restored automatically. Sometimes i cannot conenct to WIFI even standing infront of WIFI router. Please help, restoring setting even didn't helped.
Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :) -
I recently upgraded to 10.8 from 10.6 and I would like to be able to see the folder/file size for each, like in version 10.6. It used to show the size at the bottom of the "window" for the selected folder,drive etc.

I recently looked at this question with a customer who has been running 8.2 and needs to get some features in newer code. We decided that it made more sense to go to 8.4 than to 8.3.

How do I export bookmarks from Firefox for Mobile (android) to an html file?
I have bookmarks on my Firefox for Mobile v 33.1 that I would like to copy/back up to an html file. Even if I access the desktop version on my tablet I don't see the Show all Bookmarks - Import/Export option. This Android profile used to be linked through the old Firefox Sync to my PC but the issue is that I can't access it from my PC anymore as I just had to replace the hard disk. I have now installed the new Firefox on my PC but it won't sync with the old Android version as the new Firefox Sync is not compatible with the old one. Also when I go under Sync on the Android, it says the email account is deprecated.
Going forward I understand I need to remove account on the Android, update to the new Firefox Sync and newly link PC and Android device. However I have read that If I remove the account on my Android Firefox and set up the new Firefox Sync on it, I will lose my old bookmarks and it will only start saving and syncing bookmarks from then on even if I use the same email address to set it up. If this is the case and before taking this step, is there a way I can copy my old Android bookmarks to an html file?

ThanksTangram that is an answer for desktop Firefox. It does not apply to Firefox for Android.
There is no way to export bookmarks/history in Firefox for Android.
However your Firefox sync account is unrelated to the Firefox for Android profile. You can safely remove the account without loss of data. Then set up a new Sync Account. -

Warnings in the Upgrade Log file for OBIEE 11G from 10G
Hi,
I am new to OBI 11g.
I have installed simple type OBI 11g (version - 11.1.1.5.0) on a single server(Windows 2003, RAM-4GB,CPU-2.8GHz Dual Core ). I used upgrade assistant to upgrade the RPD & Webcat from 10.1.3.4.1 version to 11g, but I got about 50K warnings in the upgarde log file for the web catalog. They were basically 2 types as below -

Does someone know this warning and if this requires a fix or it would not impact any reports or dashboards? This error is about 25K times in the upgrade log file.

I have checked this error on Oracle support web and it says that this warning is fine as there have been some features in 10G that would not be in the OBI 11G and are not required. I am still not convinced why there should be any warning for this type of issue.
Please let me know if someone has faced these warnings in when doing the upgrade of the 10g RPD and Webcat to 11g together.
Just as note, the services start fine and I could login to the application with users and see the dashboards and reports although I did not check all the dashboards and reports as this is a POC before doing the actual upgrade.

I am running iPhoto 6.0.6. If I purchase the upgrade to iPhoto 9.0 for $14.95 from the app store, will I be able to upgrade directly from 6.0.6 to 9.0 without purchasing any other versions in between?
It seems the App Store doesn't offer iPhoto 9.0 for download. I presume purchasing iPhoto '11 (v.9.4.2) for $14.99 isn't going to work...because I know the most advanced version my system can handle is 9.2.3. I'm secretly hoping that if I go for the upgrade to 9.4.2, it'll take me as far as 9.2.3 and just leave me running that version. But, my hunch is the more likely scenario will be that the upgrade/installation will not be completed/fail.
Can you please just confirm that my hunch (as opposed to my "hope") is correct?

48 Hours ago I started to upgrade to Mountain Lion on a now 10 day old IMac - 30 minutes ago I got the email with the content code and redeem code for the download from the app store - it said download was happening, but nothing happened for 30 min - HOW DO I (or you) FIX IT!?
This is a User's Forum, yelling at us won't help. You have 90 days of customer support via telephone. Use them as they can interact with their system and hopefully get you back on track. Otherwise take it to them at the Genius Bar and have them make it good.

I have Elements 12. It's an upgrade in most respects from the old CS2 I used for years. Except there is apparently no measuring tool. How can this be; is there a plug-in, or will Adobe fix the problem? Anyone know a way around this glaring omission?
Hello again. When I said PSE 12 was an upgrade on CS2, I meant that simply from an informal point of view - and it is: it's better software in most respects. In expert mode, the features and functions are much the same as in the CS2 I had before, but enhanced and slicker. Less 16 bit colour depth and a few other things of course. Unfortunately, as it now transpires, the "few other things" has turned out to include the measuring feature.
Thanks for the work-around - only problem is ... to what Info Panel are you referring when using the line tool? I've looked around but can't see the line length being shown anywhere. Thanks in advance for any light you might be able to cast on it.
Incidentally, I upgraded my written-off Canon D5 MK II with a D6. To me it's an upgrade - it's a much better camera - though by the letter of the law, the strict upgrade path would be to a 5D MK III. One can use the word "upgrade" in this informal (but entirely meaningful) sense, I hope, without being sent to prison!! -

ThanksYou can't. The Mountain Lion upgrade is only free for people who purchased a new Mac on or after July 26 without it installed, and all of the computers which fall into that category shipped with Lion, not Leopard.
