Upgrading From 2007A SP01 PL 05 to 2007A SP00 PL 49

I have just installed 2007A SP01 PL05 and acquired the license. Now I want to upgrade to 2007A SP00 PL 49.. SP00 because there is no SP01 with PL 49..

DB Upgrade from 2004A to 2007A

hello all,
im upgrading my SBO Database from 2004A to 2007A,
i installed the SBO 2007A in a new machine and detached my db from SQL2000 and attached it in SLQ2005, upon logging in in SBO says that my db is not updated. and it automaticaly updated my db. now after the upgrade i found it in "Update Control Report" please image

Hi Fidel,
as a normal part of the upgrade, your database underwent the 'Internal Reconciliation Upgrade' (IRU) which is the single most important development in 2007. All legacy internal reconciliation inconcsistencies are picked up during the upgrade & RU journals automatically created. These are the journals you find in the audit report.

XLR run-time error when upgrading from 2007A PL 39 to PL 42

My client recently upgraded from 2007A PL 39 to Pl 42, In PL 39, everything, including XLR, was running smoothly. Mow when client tried to open SBO, he gets this message:
XL Reporter
Run-time error u2018430u2019:
Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface
The client has uninstalled and re-installed mythe client software, but gets the same error.
Any suggestions?

this error can occur with a DIAPI version mis-match. Again note 1247315 should help you in this regard, as there are steps there to follow.
If the note doesn't help, you could also set the logging level to 6 which would provide more information:
a. Locate the following key in the registry:
   My computer\HKey_Current_User\software\SAP\SAPManage\SAP Business   One\AddOn
b. Double click on logging level and enter value 6
c. Start XLR
Please send the log in SAP Business One Log folder from
Start->Run->%type%, you'll find log called SAPAddOn_01.log

XL Reporter Runtime error - upgraded from SBO 2005A to SBO 2007A

Hi Experts,
We upgraded our client SBO 2005A to SBO 2007A. We have this issue with XL Reporter that everytime we go to Advanced Report Builder-> Cell -> Transaction Row -> Attribute ->ARP_Series we are getting IXSelectionBarctl error window that says Run-time error '0', and the only option you have is OK. After pressing OK, it returns another IXSelectionBarctl window error:
Run-time error '-2147418105 (80010007)'
Automation error
the callee (server (not server application) is not available and disappeared; all connection are invalid. The call may have executed.
After pressing OK button the Advanced Report Builder is still visible but no longer accessible.
Here is the command under Attribute I'm trying to access.
"FIG( SO_DocDate = @d1:@d2 And ARP_Series = "1" ) ARDT( Code = "Invoice" )"
Also, this report does not display the item quantity recorded in the invoice. It returns no data when running the report.
I think the problem is that the ARP_Series is no longer available in 2007A, if not where do I find the series or somewhat similar to ARP Series function?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

2007A SP01 PL10 not installing on Windows Server 2003 ?

Hi all:
Yesterday 2007A SP01 PL10 was released. Trying to keep our customer's installations current, I proceeded to try and install the patch on different systems. So far I was lucky with Windows XP and Windows Server 2008 trial installations. However, on all the Windows Server 2003 installations I have tried (OS patched completely), the COMMON database upgrade either closes without error message, or opens up a debug message with no error number or description after clicking the very first "Next" button in the installation program.
Has anybody seen the same effect anywhere? Has anybody been able to successfully install PL10 on a Windows Server 2003? Are there any known issues?

I got the same answer to my support call for my error messages. We are loading that patch and will attempt again. Ironically, I had looked at the same note, and even bookmarked it becuase of the slow 8.8 client upgrade thread, but I didn't think the two were related.
The note indicates only that SAP Business One does not start after patch file application.
"You might encounter one of the following situations after having applied a new SAP Business One patch file:
Your SAP Business One system fails to start after you have applied a new SAP Business One patch file that you downloaded from SAP Service Marketplace.
If you want to find out whether you are affected by this problem, refer to section "Detecting whether SAP will not start up due to missing MS patch" in the attached PDF document.
Your SAP Business One system runs fine but you did not apply the Microsoft security fix mentioned above. However, future downloads of SAP binaries from SAP Service Marketplace might not work (depending on release, etc.)."
If it is also affecting the installation of patches (i.e SAP runs fine, but you can't run a patch installer) the message should also indicate that so that people will know to use this fix in the future.
Hopefully I too will have a resolved issue. I'll post the results.

Addon execution failed - SAP 2007a SP01 PL8

We have just upgraded a customer to 2007a SP01 PL8 and I have an old vb6 addon which gives me an error -
Addon excecution failed
when I run it on the server, it is fine on the workstations
The server is Windows 2003
I have loaded the latest di api and deleted the temp SM_OBS_DLL folder before running SAP
Can anyone suggest anything please ?

Hello Andy,
This can happen when Installation is corrupted.
Check the DTW, and try to load any data (using DI API). If it is fails-> reinstall client (DI API included),
If works, your UI API damaged, reinstall client.

Under/Overpayment Amt Allowing missing in 2007A SP01 PL9 US localization

Hello experts,
In Admin > System Init > Document Settings on the Per Document tab for Incoming Payment (and also Outgoing Payment), the "Under/Overpayment Amt Allowed" setting is not displayed. 2007A, SP01 patch level 9, US localization
Where could it be hiding? Or what have I missed?

I was not clear. In Admin > Sys Init > Document Settings, on the Per Document tab for Incoming Payment my choices are:
Split BP/Account in Journal Entry
Split Credit Voucher
Display all Transactions by Default
That is all that is displayed. No "Under/Overpayment Amt Allowed" text displayed or the field.
It is the same in the Outgoing Payment tab (i.e. no text displayed, no amount displayed or available).
Is there a new setting in PL9 to control display? I have searched (in sys admin, setup, notes, forum) but no luck so far.

Zahlungslauf - seit 2007A SP01 PL09 - Ansprechpartner wird benötigt

Hallo zusammen,
seit wir beim Kunden auf die Version 2007A SP01 PL09 upgedatet haben,
funktioniert der Zahlungslauf nicht mehr wie gewohnt.
Teilweise werden zu bezahlende Rechnungen nicht übernommen. Es kommt zwar keine Fehlermeldung, in der Protokolldatei liest man dann aber dass im Geschäftspartner der Ansprechpartner fehlt.
Wird im Geschäftspartner der Ansprechpartner eingetragen funktioniert alles wie gewohnt.
Weiß jemand warum das eingebaut wurde? Wozu sollte man beim Zahlungslauf einen Ansprechpartner benötigen, wenn dieser in der Bankdatei gar nicht mitübertragen wird?!
Derzeit ists mühsam da man immer die Protokolldatei kontrollieren muss, ob nicht doch Zahlungen in der Bankdatei fehlen könnten, obwohl diese zuvor ausgewählt wurden.
Warum exisistiert diese Abfrage nun?
Weiß jemand ob der Ansprechpartner ab einer bestimmten Höhe der Zahlung verlangt wird?

Die Dokumentation der Notes bzw. die Listung aller behobenen Fehler im Update durchzusuchen hilft mir auch nicht.
Habe bis dato nichts gefunden.
Will ich nämlich über Inserts und Updates in der Datenbank alle leeren Felder automatisch befüllen, so muss ich mir ebenfalls eine kleine Routine bauen, die die Standardfelder befüllt und die Einträge in der Tabelle OCPR entsprechend einfügt.
Den Aufwand zahlt mir keiner!

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about 2005A upgrade. However, 2005A support has been stopped back to July. Why do you not upgrade to 2007A instead?

Upgrade from SQL 2000 to 2005

In our test environment, we are on 2005 SP01 PL34, and are
upgrading SQL Enterprise Edition from the 2000 to the 2005 SP2 edition.
The SQL upgrade advisor has given some error messages
in relation to SAP tables, as per below. Should we be concerned about
these, or will they have any effect on upgrading from SAP B1 2005 to
2007 versions?
Remove references to undocumented system tables
Many system tables that were undocumented in prior releases have changed or no longer exist; therefore, using these tables may cause errors after upgrading to SQL server 2005.
Affected tables
Object Name : TmSP_GetDbSizeByDrives
Object Type : P
System Table : spt_value
Object Name : TmSP_CheckDiskSpace
The above messages point to SAP stored procedures.

I believe all those SP are temporary SP for you previous upgrade. Therefore. it should be no problem to upgrade your test database first. You have to back up the pre upgrade database anyway, you should be safe.

Is it really possible to upgrade from a Treo 650 to a Treo 750?

I am not a very happy customer at the moment, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I upgraded from my old Palm Tungsten to a Zire, then to a Cingular Treo 650, combining three devices into one. I have since discovered that the Treo 650 seems to have a faulty transmission mode, as I can rarely be clearly understood by whomever I call. Am on the second (or third, I have lost track) and continue to have the same problem. I get five bars of reception but can't be understood on the other end. A bit of a problem when one is trying to call 911. Am constantly told I am "breaking up". The repair shop says it "Can't duplicate the problem". OK, then I do not want to give up all the info I have stored in the fool thing, and the 750 seems to have a different system, so I thought I would try that. All the stuff I could find seemed to indicate it wouldn't be a problem to upgrade. When the 750 arrived, I tried to install the software from the CD on my Windows XP computer. No dice. Setup encounters an error and closes. Can't even look at the files, because setup tries to run any time I access the CD. From any drive. Gave it to my girlfiend to check on her computer, and the CD seemed to run fine. Other CDs work just fine on my computer. Must be some kind of conflict, but what? Tried calling the AT&T number that suggested they could help with setup, and was first connected to the business center, they routed me to the laptop center, who routed me to the network center, who said they would have to bring in the Palm customer service and connected me to a Mac guy that dumped me back to a menu that took me to someone for whom English is a second language with whom I was trying to communicate over a very poor satellite connection. They made no sense anyway. telling me first that I couldn't have two desktops running (wrong, my girlfriend has my old Zire and the CD worked fine) and then insisting that the serial number on my device had to start with a P, when it clearly does not have any alpha characters in it. Gave up on that route of assistance. Managed to get the new ActiveSync installed from my girlfriends computer over the network. Great. Now let's get my 650 synced with Outlook (which I have not used at home) and see if we can move on. Nope. First I have to update Outlook 2000 from the old Win98 to my current XP. Find the old CD, and square that away. OK, now sync to Outlook. Nope. The sync program gives an error, saying it will only sync with Outlook 98, 2000, and XP(2002). Good grief. I have Outlook 2000, and the software apparently does not recognize it. If the Palm doesn't work, there is no reason for me to keep this phone, and I am very close to returning it and abandoning the Palm entirely when I upgrade to something that works, although I dread re-entering all that information.

Thanks for the feedback. Today I installed an Enterprise version of Office 2007 I purchased a while back, but had not yet installed. Microsoft presented a few challenges, but they were quickly resolved. I then downloaded the appropriate conduit from Palm, and synced the 650 with the handheld overwriting the computer. Then used Active Destop to sync the 750. Satisfied I had moved as much info as possible, I called AT&T and had them move the phone number to the new Treo.
Bonus! When the guy at AT&T called me on the new phone to verify it, he said it sounded better than my landline.
