Upgrading from Connect Enterprise 8 to 9, but switching servers as well

Hi,
I was wondering if I could get the recorded meetings from the server that currently hosts version 8 and put them on the new server? Does anyone know where those files are located, and are the recorded meetings one file?
Please let em nkow.
Thank you,
Amanda

it was in beta testing and if you read the forum on avids website it would have told you. when you have pro tools 9 it should work.

  • Upgrading from Crystal Enterprise 10 to Business Objects Enterprise 11

    Here's the situation:
We decided to upgrade from Crystal Enterprise 10 on server A to Business Objects Enterprise 11 on server B. We went with the method of importing all the objects and users from Crystal Enterprise 10 to Business Objects Enterprise 11. The import also brought in all the DB connection settings that were set in Crystal Enterprise 10. I also brought over all the ODBC System DSNs so that those can be consisten with the old server.
The problem we are having is that the reports are failing due to the connections to the database. I thought importing the database connection settings from Crystal Enterprise 10 along with bringing over the ODBC System DSNs would not make this an issue but it hasn't.
I checked the server logs in SQL and it's telling me that it's trying to log into the server as NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON. Shouldn't it try to log under whatever I define in the report's database settings or ODBC System DSNs?
These same reports work fine in Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise 10.

go into the properties of the report and verify that the Database Login values are still set.  I found that it doesn't always transfer those when doing the import.

  • Purch. & installed upgrade from iLife 2 to iLife 08, but I have questions..

    Hi ~
_Purchased & installed upgrade from iLife 2 to iLife 08, but I have questions..._
First I made sure I backed up my 5,500 photos in iPhoto to an external hard drive. (The only downfall to this backing-up process is that I haven't found an easy way to back-up the comments attached to each photo. Any advice on this? Part of the "horror" to losing one's photos is also losing the comments added to them over the years.)
Back to the install... I installed iLife 08 and it installed correctly. I checked to see what version of the applications I have in the dock on my desktop - I figured it would just import existing data (photos, tunes, etc.) into the newer version and replace it in the dock - +it only did this for iDVD+, of course it wasn't that easy for the others.
I can't find the newer version of iPhoto. My iPhoto in the dock still says version 2. iTunes in my dock is version 7 (7.4.2). iMovie is version 3 (3.0.3). But the new Garageband is there in the dock. And of course, iDVD is the newer version '08.
I am most concerned with iPhoto and making sure all the photos AND their comments import correctly into the newer iPhoto 08. I am nervous about this so I want to make sure I do the process correctly.
I also want to make sure my iTunes information imports correctly to the newer version as well.
    Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Kathy

If you backed up the iPhoto Library Folder then you got everything - photos, albums, comments etc

The Dock is not important. Look in your Applications Folder for iPhoto 08. That's where it should be. The Dock is just a shortcut to that. What version is in your Apps folder?
To upgrade a Library from v2 to iPhoto 08 all you do is open the Library with the newer version.

here is an interesting thing: take the iphone and set lock screen to never. Now make an email with siri--be sure to activate her with call button. get to the body and get some text in there. then just stop talking. LOCK SCREEN APPEARS!!!!!! and of course you draft is gone.
There does seem to be a work around for some--maybe all these issues. Don't use the call button--use the buttons on the phone.
Siri seems to behave properly with scenerio above---sans call button. She does not go to lock.

  • Upgrading from Crystal Enterprise 10 to Business Objects XI R3

    Hi Guys,
I am upgrading from Crystal Enterprise 10 to Business Objects XI R3.  The server which have Crystal Enterprise 10 is not on the network, please let me know to copy CMS database from CRE10 (Not on the network) to BOXIR3.
    Burhan
    Thanks

you will need access to the CMS DB and FRS from CE10 in order to migrate to XI 3.x, typically this is accomplished via network. If you can restore them to the same computer a side by side (install CE10 and XI 3.x on the same server) may work as well.

    Tim

  • I would like to upgrade from 10.6.8 to Yosemite but am not able to install it. What should I do?

I would like to upgrade from OS X 10.6.8 to Yosemite.  I went to the Yosemite web page but there was no download button which I could click.  What should I do?  Thank you.

Try using one of the 2 links in the right sidebar. One under Categories and one under Free.
Try booting into the Safe Mode. If that doesn't work, set up another admin user account and try from there.

  • Upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6 but now running SLOW?!?

When I was upgrading from 10.5 to 10.6 my computer went to sleep. When I woke it up the installation window disappeared and was replaced by that spinning sun ray thing. I don't know if the computer actually went to sleep or looked like it went to sleep--I want to think that the computer couldn't actually go to sleep during an important function like a system upgrade.
But regardless the installation stopped working. I rebooted from the Snow Leopard installation disc and completed the installation. It seemed to remember where it left off and everything seemed fine until the reboot. Snow Leopard ran very, very slow. Like I had 6,000 fonts loaded and was running 6 intense programs at once. I am thinking the installation messed up since the computer crashed.
I am currently restoring my system from my Time Machine and will try the Snow Leopard install again.
Does anyone have any insight into what is going on? Or some advice? Someone mentioned to erase the hard drive and do a clean install, but how would I get my files back from the Time Machine after that? Wouldn't it be piece by piece, because if I restored a back-up after an OS upgrade I would think it would restore the old OS.
    Best regards,
    Kkamin

I would recommend doing a clean install of OS 10.6 (Which for you might mean installing 10.5, and doing an Erase & Install to 10.6 if you can't install 10.6 directly). While it seems convenient, I have found that installing a new OS on top of an old one is just asking for trouble...any quirks/glitches that have developed can transfer over and even new problems can develop.
If you have a Time Machine backup, you should be able to go back and transfer your Apps/Documents/Files to the fresh install without moving system files (the ones likely to be corrupted/glitchy)

  • Need to upgrade from OS X 10.5.8 but have a broken CD Drive - am I out of luck?

I have a Macbook from 2006 that is still kicking, except for being extremely out of date with the OSX. What would be the costs associated with upgrading, if this is even possible? My CD Drive has been broken for years.  I'm encountering more and more sites that either can't operate on the version of Safari I have. Is it time for a new laptop? I'm struggling with the cost of Macs, but then again I've never had a virus in 8 years! Thanks!

If your Macbook has a core dup processor you can on,y upgrade as far as 10.6.8 but if your macbook is a late 2006 model with a core 2 duo you can upgrade to Lion 10.7.5. Keep in mind that older apps written for Power PC will not run beyond 10.6.8 and while Lion will run in 2gb of ram it won't run well. Snow Leopard is a solid system that I believe is still getting security updates and is probably your best choice at this time.

  • I want to upgrade from 10.6 to 10.7 but only have 1gb what can i do

  • Upgraded from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5, but my iTunes is too old to backup the new phone.

I have a Dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5 running Mac OS X 10.5.8.  Prior to purchasing my iPhone 5, I backed everything up to iTunes 10.6.3, which is the latest version my Mac will allow me to install.  I traded in my old iPhone 4 and was excited to get home with my shiny new iPhone 5 and restore from backup.  However, when I connected the iPhone 5 to my computer it said, "The iPhone cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 10.7 or later. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version of iTunes."
When I downloaded the latest version of iTunes, my computer told me, "You can't open the application 'Read Before You Install iTunes' because it is not supported on this architecture."  When I tried to bypass the note and install iTunes directly, I was told, "iTunes cannot be installed on this computer."
I have nothing but a shiny new iPhone.  I was able to retrieve my contacts from iCloud and re-install apps from the app store, but I have none of my notes.  Many of these notes are important and I was wondering if there is a way to get them back.  Please help.

Obviously, your Mac is old, and you don't need me to tell you that.  Indeed what you're seeing is correct -- you need at least iTunes 10.7 (or the current 11.0) to interface with your iPhone 5.
Assuming you do not care to update your computer hardware, another option would likely be to use an Apple Store (if one is nearby).  I would guess if you stopped by the Apple Store with your iPhone and your PowerPC, they might well help you by using an intermediate Mac to house your Notes and transition them to your iPhone from there.

  • Upgrade from Crystal Enterprise 9 to Crystal Server 2011

As I know, the latest version is Crystal Server 2011 which is a part of the Business Intelligence platform 4.0.  Is it correct ?
The manual says that Crystal Enterprise 9 CANNOT upgrade to Crystal Server 2011 directly.  It needs 2 steps.
    Crystal Enterprise 9  -
    >  Business Object XI R2  -
    >  Crystal Server 2011
But I cannot find any trial version of Business Object XI R2.  How can I test the upgrade?
Is there other method to upgrade?  E.g. transfer the oracle database to the new system?
    Regards,
    Kelvin

If you are paying maintenance, you should be able to ask for a key for XIR2 version.

  • I am running 6.1 and want to upgrade to 7.1 then to 10.1.  I understand this is a two step process and can find where to upgrade from 7.1 to 10.1 but cannot find 6.1 to 7.1.   Can anyone head me in the right direction?

Where can I find the pathway to upgrade my 6.1 iMac to the Lion 7.1 and then to the Montian Lion 10.1.   I think I have to update to Lion before I can update to montian Lion but cannot find the upgrade to take me from 6.1 to 7.1

What are we talking about here? You've posted in a Windows forum, but seems you are referring to an iMac. But you are not referring to OS X version numbers. Maybe you should make clear what you want.

  • Unable to upgrade from OS 4.2...but now I'm not sure I want too...

Ok, first let me address the first part of my subject.  I recently purchased an 8830 in the US from Verizon.  It has the 4.2 OS.  I would like to upgrade to a more recent version, and BB says to try the cell providers site.  I did, but Verizon only has 4.2 available for "upgrade" which is from May 2008.  I have looked everywhere on BB's site for the software, but no luck.  I tried to update via the Desktop Manager Software, as well as the BB website, but both say I have the latest available version.  But when I look on the About screen, it shows 4.2.  I know this is not correct as there is sfotware for purchase that runs/requires 4.5 and 4.6.  So, does anyone know where I can get either?
In regards to the second part...I have read a couple threads on issues with the v4.5. Therefore, should I just not worry about even trying to upgrade at this time?  Or does someone else have any ideas/suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the response.
If the memory is an issue in the phone, which causes issues with the new OS's, then it appears Blackberry screwed up. It also appears then, that they don't care for users of the 8830, as they appear to haven't tried to fix the issue either within the code (which would make sense) or the device (such as maybe upgrading the memory and then offering some form of swap process so people can get the new device with more memory and return theirs).  It also appears that they also don't care about their customers, in my opinion.  While I can live with the less memory, there are some apps I would like to purchase to make better use of this device, however, since I can't go above 4.2, I can't buy the apps.
I guess this means I may have to investigate going with a different model, maybe the 8330 (I think it was this model and the 8830 my decision came to).  I guess it's good I find this out now as I just bought this phone and am within the 30 trial period (actually I've only had it for a few days now).  I also guess I'll have to learn to deal with a slightly smaller device and keys too (which is why I went with the 8830 over the 8330).
Ok, guess I know what to do.  Thanks to all.

Windows 7 professional with Windows Media Player 11 and WMP plugin for Firefox 4 doesn´t work, but on WinXP it does work normally with the same plugin version after upgrade to FF4.
