We cannot know. Even calling your post would be an exaggeration/ understatement, depending on how you want to see it. We need hard technical facts - operating system, computer specs, what is the exact error/ problem and so on.

  • Is the only way to upgrade PS from CS6 to CC is to buy creative cloud?

Can you no longer purchase the CC upgrade outright for photoshop? Is the only way now to get creative cloud and pay monthly?

CC has never been available for outright purchase.  CS6 was the last one offered on that model.  Going forward, all future releases will be offered only to Creative Cloud members.

  • Is it possible any longer to upgrade from LR3 to LR5 without subscribing to Creative Cloud?

Is it possible any longer to upgrade from LR3.5 to LR5 without subscribing to Creative Cloud? I am not interested in a CC sub at this time.

You can click Buy on this page to purchase LR5 without subscribing:

First, though, download and install LR 5.6 from the Adobe Updates page and make sure LR5 will run on your computer:

We're sorry, but we're having trouble processing your order. Please come back and try again later. To finish your purchase immediately, please call us at +1 800-585-0774. If you're not in North America, you can look up a local number here.

What tells you that you don't qualify? Have you tried going through the joining process and been knocked back?

  • Upgrading from CS6 to CC causes the extention .prproj to become corrupted.

After upgrading from CS6 to CC, by installing CC then uninstalling  CS6:  In Windows 7 "prproj" became associated (i.e., "open with") with  Acrobat (?) and will not re-associate with Premiere CC.  Using the windows  procedure to change the "OPEN WITH" target yields no effect whatsoever  --nothing gets changed and it Acrobat still tries to open it.  If I had to guess, this appears to be a  registry-writing bug wherein one of the versions somehow corrupted the registry,  rendering it useless to Premiere  CC.
Premiere  crashes often enough (at least once every day or so) to make it necessary  to go into the backups and retrieve the last auto save. It is harder to do this without a working link.
I already have the latest CC installed so the questions are: Is this a known bug?  Is there a workaround??
    Thanks.

    Some more information:
Premiere does not appear on the default "Open with" list  for .prproj --only Acrobat Pro (which is not a CC install if that makes any difference).  Choosing another application via browse is ignored.
In order to rule out actual Windows as the problem, I tested, and was successfully able to re-associate other extensions (to other applications) using "Open with".  The only extension not responding is .prproj. This suggests either a premiere problem in specific, or an Adobe problem in general since the association for .prproj is stuck on Acrobat.

  • Upgrade from CS6 to CC: please answer my question

While upgrading from CS6 to CC and using the CS6 Master Collection serial number will my existing CS6 Master Collection license remain legal and working and I'll be able to use it in case I will stop CC subscription one day for example?
Thank you in advance for your prompt reply!

Taking a new subscription on the basis of existing CS6 will not affect your CS6 perpetual product. You will still have your CS6 license with you and can use it afterwards.

  • Is it possible to upgrade from CS6 Extended version 13.0 x64 to the latest version?

Is it possible to upgrade from CS6 Extended version 13.0 x64 to the latest version?

There are three current version of CS6  perpetual  versions Mac version 13.0.6 and Windows Version version 13.0.1.3 and there is a creative cloud  sibscruption version 13.1.2.
If you running Windows on a 64Bit system and install Perpetual CS6 it would have installed at version 13.0.0 and the be updated to version 13.0.1.3.  Both a 32 bit version and a 64 bit version of Photoshop would have been installed on your windows system.   The 32 bit version will be in your windows  "Program Files (x86)" tree anf the 64 bit version in the "Program Files" tree there should be two startup icon in the start button for starting CS6.
There would also be a 32 bit and 64 bit windows subscription version installed on windows.
    Mac CS6 is 64bit only.

    It survives an uninstall/reinstall.

  • Upgrade from CS6 to CC apps?

I have been a Creative Cloud member for some time and curently have 32-bit and 64-bit installations of many of the CS6 apps. Should I upgrade these to the CC versions? Is there any harm in removing the old CS6 versions? Are the CC apps all 64-bit or will I once again be installing both 32-bit and 64-bit versions when I select to install CC apps.

    According to the FAQ:
Which desktop applications in Creative Cloud require 64-bit operating systems?
With the new CC apps, most of the pro video and audio applications now require 64-bit operating systems to run. These native 64-bit applications include Adobe Premiere® Pro CC, Adobe Audition® CC, After Effects® CC, Prelude® CC, and SpeedGrade® CC. Flash Professional CC, Photoshop CC and Lightroom® also require 64-bit on Mac OS.
    More in: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html
Photoshop CC still has 32 and 64 bits versions. Since I use a 64bits OS, I usually just ignore this requirement.
With a Cloud subscription you still have access to the CS6 versions, if needed.

  • Lost Upgrade by joining Creative Cloud

I would like to join and use Creative Cloud.  BUT, I own 2 suites, and 3 stand alone Adobe products (all of them are in the cloud).  Here's my problem.  Adobe has no exit strategy should I stay with Creative Cloud for 2-3 years and then decide to revert back to disk ownership.  In that scenario, if I want to then upgrade my CS6 disks (what I currently own) to the latest version, I will have to pay a premium price to upgrade even though I have been paying for Creative Cloud all through those 2-3 years.  I call upon Adobe to publish a policy that will allow a person exiting from Creative Cloud to allow upgrade to the newest version for the lowest upgrade price if that person was using the current version when they joined Creative Cloud.  The disk version has value and should not lose value because I decide to use a new service for the same software.  Until this issue is remedied, I will not consider becoming a Creative Cloud customer.  Creative Cloud is perfect for the user that has never owned an Adobe product.  They get the full monte for $50 per month and have nothing to lose.  Those of us that have paid (and paid and paid) for licenses over the years do not want to lose that value.
Please make this a priority for the marketing team to solve.

Guess the only caveat to this request is that exit strategies for the Cloud may become a non-issue if disk-based perpetually licensed products get discontinued by Adobe and they choose to go Cloud only for all products.
That's speculation at this stage but the Cloud is Adobe's preferred distribution channel for software.
It's just a matter of when.

  • CS6 existing serial number holder. Am I eligible to join creative cloud?

    Hi,
I have purchased Adobe CS6 Master collection student suit from Adobe site recently, now I am thinking to join the CREATIVE CLOUD.
I have tried to join threw the plan for the individuls -  ' Existing CS Customers special offer ' button. it leads to pick a plan. I have picked and try to join -  complete for cs6.
When I click this button, it leads me to the join creative cloud page. When I try to sign in their with my user name and password, Its saying you are not qualified.
I don't know why, I have a valued CS6 SERIAL NUMBER WITH ME and its already registerd.
Could you advice me to get the proper steps to join the Cloud threw the existing CS Customer offer!.
    Thanks

Edu versions don't  qualify for an extra discount because you already got them at a considerably lower price. If you are stil la student, use the the S&T version of CC, otherwise you will need to join CC without any further discounts.

  • I want to update to LION,on my Macbook Pro duo core, (october 2006) because Adobe CC needs at least that. I know my computer is old, but works perfect to me and I do not want to stay in Adobe CS6 since I have access to Adobe Cloud CC. Please help.

I probably dont want to go to Mountain Lion either because I've heard that it will slow down my computer, So, Lion 10.7 will be the perfect OS X for me.
I have ne newest release of Snow Leopard installed and works great.
Thank you ALL for your help.

you will be ok updating to the new software but there will be some trade off. i have 3 macbooks 2006 that are all running the latest versions.
some of the trade off are
    1-2 less of battery life
    slow wake ups from sleep
slower start up time about 30-40 seconds longer then what you have now
the operating system will use high % of your processer while idealing
these are not the things you want to hear about a new os compared to the old one but this is how it is even with a new macbook pro. but it's not the end of the world. just make sure you have at least more then 2GB of ram and have a good harddrive and you will be ok.

Since I joined creative cloud, I have not been able to sync. Why the difference? Worked good during initial trial.
Also I had installed the Mosaic app for ipad before Lightroom mobile came out and I cannot seem to get rid of it. How can I get mosaic out? I have cancelled, I have deleted, I have looked through the files for visible remnants.

The sync count is 60 and static. The total number synced so far is 500+. None have been synced from the ipad except for corrections made there on those already synced.
I have deleted the Mosaic app from all machines and checked the library folder and have contacted the Mosaic tech support and they have discontinued my subscription. I still get mosaic messages on initiating Lightroom and sometimes at closing.
I have not tried to sync fewer yet, but some catalogs that I have tried are smaller numbers. Initially, it did well on good connections. Nothing works on my home connections over satellite.
