Upgrading IMac to Yosemite and don't want to lose CS5 suite that was downloaded from internet (I have no application cd's) Is this possible?
How can I keep my Adobe CS5 Suite (photoshop, indesign, illustrator) if I upgrade my operating system IMac Snow Leopard to Yosemite? I do not have the Adobe CS5 application disks as it was loaded from the internet through my job.
Go here and be sure your serial number(s) are there: Find your serial number quickly
Once you check on that, and find them, go here and download the appropriate suite: Download CS5 products

I currently have FiOS 300/65 with 13 static IP's for my business and we are interested in upgrading to the 500/500 package.
However, I can not get a clear answer if my static IP's will change or not. It is critical that my IP's do not change. The only answer I get is "maybe". I was wondering if you may have some further knowledge on this matter. We really want to upgrade, but can't do so without knowing. Also, we just recently had our ONT replaced to support additional circuits and our IP's did not change.
I put a message out to a different board and recieved this response:
"There are a number of factors that can determine weather or not the IP address is kept. The most important thing is the ONT that you have. The ONT can handle up to the 500/500 if it is available in your area. If the ONT changes out then your IP address would most likely change. So with no equipment change, the only other determining factors are what type of order the business office writes for you. In short those are the most important factors but there is no way to gurantee the IP address will be the same."
So it seems that the ONT won't cause problems, but only how the business office writes the upgrade? Whom can I contact to get a concrete answer to this? Like I said, we really want to upgrade but someone has to know the outcome.

I upgraded iMac to Yosemite, and my Adobe CS5 products (Photoshop, dreamweaver, etc) would not open. A message popped up saying I needed to load Java SE 6. The Apple Tech support person had me select all the Java folders and files in my library and delete the. I then downloaded Java 7. However, nothing happens when I click on the program icon. I went to reinstall the products, but the activation code was not valid (even though I got it off the Adobe site for my products with Adobe). I tried to install just one product (Illustrator) in the trial mode, but still nothing happens. How can I get my Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and other programs to work?

How can i get a pdf from my iPhone to my new macbook? I keep trying to sync but it says it will delete all the books/pdfs on my phone. I don't have this pdf on my computer and don't want to lose it. I am using the same iTunes account. Any suggestions?

Based on your post it sounds like you would like to sync your iBooks content with your computer. I have located an article that may help you in this situation. While you can sync this data with your computer you can also use the sharing button to send PDFs using various sources:

My battery drained. Pluged in to wall but screen shows battery with red line but doesn't seem to be recharding after 20 min. Should I wait longer or do a hard restart? I haven't backedup in ages and don't want to lose pics, contacts etc. Will a hard restart wipe all that out?

-Your device needs both the CR and LF. To accomplish this:
option 1: Concatenate the "end of line" string constant (this is a combination of CR and LF, located in the string pallete) to all your outgoing commands. Make sure in the "Visa configure serial port" the "Termination character enable" flag is false.
option 2: Concatenate only a CR to your command's strings. Make sure in the "Visa configure serial port" the "Termination character enable" flag is TRUE AND that the termination character is set to 10 (meaning LF) which I think is the default.

Interesting would be to configure the serial port to accept not one but two termination characters. The above links refers to the document "Developer Zone Tutorial: Termination Characters in NI-VISA.", where this is supposed to be possible. The document however is 404'ed.

I am installing itunes to a laptop and have not sync device to this lap. It is saying that it must first restore device. The problem is I have over 2000 pictures and don't want to lose them. Now my phone is in restore mode and I don't know what to do. I don't want to proceed and loose these very important photos of family. What do I do to get it out of restore mode? My phone will not allow me to do anything to it at this point. I have the itunes downloaded on the laptop now. When I push the button for the phone it just shows Itunes and plug. I can't even call or open phone up.

Using a computer, other than the one you have regularily been Syncing and Backing up to, was the begining of your issue. -

If you're going to sell it, use "Erase All Content and Settings".
If you're selling it, what difference does it make to you if the apps get erased? You don't have the legal right to transfer any apps you bought to anyone else. Not to mention the fact that you stated you have never been able to download new apps...

Connect the phone to your computer, but do not sync. Make sure iTunes is authorized to the same account that you bought the apps with. Then select "Transfer Purchases" from the iTunes File menu. Once this finishes the apps will be on your computer, so you can sync safely.

I have lost my Iphone and never activated my Icloud on my phone. Is there anyway of locating it whereabouts??? Also Who ever has my phone has downloaded find my phone. Is there anyway Apple can find out the address that was downloaded from??
Unfortuantely, you can only track the phone if you had set up iCloud and enabled Find My iPhone on it before it was lost or stolen. I don't believe there is anything that Apple can do to locate your phone either.

I had to change to a new Apple MacBook Pro. I deauthorized my old computer, authorized the new one and the only media that shows up are items with a cloud. Everything that was downloaded from a cd, including personal movie files, are missing. It's as if my former library is gone. How can I find it again? Or is this just Apples way of screwing with me?
No. Firewire and Ethernet are not the same. Ethernet would be used to connect the computers to your network. A Firewire cable is used to connect the computers directly. They are different ports.
