Upgrading ISA 4.0 to ISA 5.0

Hi all,
Here the requirement is upgrading ISA 4.0 to 5.0, only ISA components is upgrading, and back-end remains same as ECC 6.0.
Kindly provide information on,
1)what are the advantages on upgrading from ISA 4.0 to 5.0.
2) What are the disadvantages
3)What are the challenges to face.
4) Is there any SAP tool build for the same
Finally, is there is any difference between terms migrating and upgrading..

SAP provided configuration documentation in the installation section of the ERP.
Go to http://service.sap.com/instguides and follow the navigation as below.
Installation and Upgrade Guides -> SAP Business Suite Applications -> SAP CRM -> SAP CRM 2005 -> Core and Standalone components. You will see the following documents.
1. SAP E-Commerce 5.0 - Development and Extension Guide
2. SAP E-Commerce 5.0 - Examples and Tutorials (Dev./Ext.)
3. SAP E-Commerce 5.0 for mySAP ERP - Bus. Scen. Config. Guide

This should cover the basic questions on the application. Page 8 of the bs Scen Config guide give detailed information of the release information of Java AS and JSDK that are required.

Have you configured the XCM correctly and restarted the application after this was done, I have seen the same error in the past when there have been problem reading the XCM config for the application.

CRM ISA b2b Vs ECC ISA b2b - IPC and BADI

Experts,
1. In CRM ISA b2b - We use CRM_COND_COM_BADI to implement the userexit logics and to populate custom attributes. What is the equivalent BADI or procedure in ERP scenario assuming I am using IPC in both the scenarios.
2. in CRM ISA b2b scenario, we have item and header BADI's like crm_isa_basket_head...What is thew equivalent BADI/Procedure in ERP ISA b2b scenario.

Regarding your first question, AFAIK, the userexit logic of pricing should be developed in IPC pricing routines and uploaded to the SAP system with appropriate userexit assignment.
About the second question, I am not very clear on what is the requirement? Do you want to modify certain data before a document is actually created/simulated in the SAP system? In this case, there are some enhancement points in the FM SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE. This is what I used to modify/add/delete some data before the basket data is simulated or created as a quotation/order in the SAP ECC system.

Can you please tell me what is the difference between ISA 5.0 and 7.0. Are there any changes in the ISA architechture. Is there any change in ISA Java API. Appreciate your pointers here.

Are the foundations of ISA in CRM 7 like those in CRM 5 ?
Are there all these frames ?
Is there all this javascript ?
We are thinking about make our own web application, in order to have a faster and better solution.
By this way, we will be able to correct and improve it and better foundations : no frames, AJAX, templates instead of JSP with all this JAVA code.
Well, are there many things that changed in ISA of CRM 7 ?

- Good idea. Evaluate Adobe Flex too. Variant Configuration integration will be a beast.

- Only functional features. As of CRM 2006 for Packaged products were introduced with telecom in focus. Nothing special in UI. The application is still a Java / JSP based web application built over Struts framework.

Safari crashes behind Microsoft ISA proxy \ Authenticating to MS services

I recently updated to Leopard but I'm experiencing multiple issues with Safari. Whenever I'm at the office Safari crashes repetitively whenever I try to access a site requiring authentication (mainly Microsoft based). at the office .
This issue started after upgrading (thus not a clean install) to Leopard. Only happens in Safari (firefox no problem).
This only happens when I'm in the office where I connect via a Microsoft ISA server. On the same machine with 10.4 I never once had this issue.
One note is that since the upgrade to Leopard, authentication with ISA server does not work in the traditional way of domain\username (as it did before and should also now), but requires that I omit the domain name, this may be a clue to the cause? My Laptop is not part of any Windows domain I use a different user locally than to access any online services.
I cannot upload crash details via the crash reporter (might be blocked on the proxy server)
I would like to hear any suggestions.

I've had this problem logged as a bug on Radar since September (yes before Leopard shipped). The bug report was closed as a duplicate but I got it re-opened when 10.5.1 shipped and it was still present. It used to be just https access that caused Omniweb and Safari to crash when I authenticated to the ISA proxy in work.
After applying the latest updates (Security Update 2007-009 and Quicktime Broadcaster 1.5.2) any app that uses the proxy crashes. So http web access as well as https access not cause a crash. The Omni update check app crashes and takes the app in question with it when you launch it. Software update crashes. So do others but I forget the details.
This only happens at work. Fine on other networks. If I browse on the same machine using IE under Windows XP in a Parallels VM using Shared networking there are no problems. This is a Leopard problem . Didn't happen under Tiger.
Not good.

Actually we have E-selling (CRM 3,ISA 3.1 & IPC 3.0) that working with EP 5.0 SP5,I'm just wondering If we upgrade to EP6.0 NetWeaver can we just migrate iViews or we have to upgrade to CRM 4.0, ISA?, IPC?, too.

Maryam, Netweaver should be downward compatible so I do not see any issues. If you want to be sure just create an OSS message. Tiest.

XCM Settings for CRM ISA 4.0 SP10

Hi !
We are currently upgrading a CRM 4.0 ISA application from SP5 to SP10. The XCM settings for the vanilla 'b2c' webshop has been completed and the vanilla 'b2c' application has been extended to a new b2c application using the old extended application files with the new 'buildtool'. However, when we try to run the extended b2c project, after successfully deploying the new .ear file, we get an error that the XCM settings couldn't be found. The vanilla 'b2c' application runs perfectly though.
Could anyone with experience in CRM 4.0 ISA application SP10 list any unique steps to get the extended XCM data for the extended application correctly in the 'web.xml' file ?

The config path for "%sys.global.dir%/xcm/${com.sap.dc_name}" should normally point to the standard XCM settings and ideally it should be outside the folder structure of the application (ie) not within either <Inst-Dir>:\usr\sap\SID\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\crm.b2c\servlet_jsp\b2c\root\WEB-INF
or <Inst-Dir>:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\global\xcm\crm.b2c. Prior to CRM ISA 4.0 SP6, context parameters would determine this path during each deployment. This would ensure that an extended application would always point back to the standard XCM settings rather than having to maintain multiple XCM settings for each extended application. The reply from SAP OSS suggests that post CRM ISA 4.0 SP6, XCM settings would have to be maintained for each extended application (something that SAP supports) or the value of the config path of "%sys.global.dir%/xcm/${com.sap.dc_name}" should be changed individually for each extended application using the visual administrator to point to the standard XCM settings (something that SAP suggests as a work around but doesn't support).
Again, this problem is mainly caused by the fact that the context parameter of the XCM settings during deployment of any application has been removed from the SDM post CRM ISA 4.0 SP5. Removal of this context parameter from the SDM means that one would have to adopt either approach as suggested by SAP as above.
I hope this helps others out there who are migrating from a pre CRM ISA 4.0 SP6 to a post CRM ISA 4.0 SP6.

Create order on CRM from ISA without ITS

I must create Purchase orders from ISA to CRM. I study 2 ways:
1: call RFC on CRM to ISA, get data from isa, create order on CRM;
2: create javascript on isa for send data to crm and create order.
in both ways, i don't know which function module to use.
is there a way for trace both system and take correct function modules?
i don't have ITS!!

Hello Ale,
if the ISA and the CRM System are running on two different machines you can use Ethereal to captuere the Network traffic and find out what function module is used. Also the Application Log in the CRM Server (Transaction ST01) can be usefull.

ISA R3 develop where can I find the classes

Hi everybody,
I want to modiy Java classes from the ISA R3 shop.
I have unpacked the *.sar file which contains several ear files like b2b.ear, shopadmin.ear etc. I have unpacked this ear file. After that I have unpacked the corresponding war files. I thought after this steps I can find the Java classes. But there are only jsp and xml files.
Where can I find the Java classes (Beans etc.)
Is it correct that I have to unpack ths files with the jar.exe from the jdk and not with the ISA-BUILT tool?

Hi Axel.
   I suggest you that checks the notes in the forum of   Customer Relationship Management (CRM), in that forum comes all about ISA.
   For modify ISA you have to download de ISA Build Tool, you make your changes and after that you install the new ear application.
   All the bean classes in this applications comes in jar´s but you can extended the classes.. for do it, read the SAP ISA Development Guide

Steps to modify b2b.ear file:
1. Copy b2b.ear to <ISA build tool>/sap_ear.
2. Copy your modified WEB-INF/web.xml file to <ISA build
tool>/project/b2b_myproject/WEB-INF/web.xml.
3. To add your own java classes, create the directory
<ISA build tool>/project/java/myproject.
4. Copy your own java class (com.yourcompany.isa.Yourclass) to the
<ISA build tool>/project/java/myproject/com/
yourcompany/isa/Yourclass.java directory.
5. Execute the ant target build. The build tool creates the ear file <ISAbuild tool>/project_ear/b2b_myproject.ear

Follow below steps.
1) Log in to service market place.
2) Click on "Download" Tab
3) On Left side click on SAP Software Distribution Center -->Download > Support Packages and Patches> Entry By Application Group.
4) On Right side. Support Packages and Patches>SAP Application Components> SAP CRM> SAP CRM 2007> Entry by Component--> CRM Application Server Java
5) Click on "SAP SHARED JAVA COMPONENTS"
6) From Below screen click on "Download" tab and Download "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" file.
7) Open "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" file by "WINRAR" and unzip on your local laptop.
8) After unzip you will get several zip files under folder "BUILDARCHIVES"
9) Find "crmshrjavadoc" file inside folder "BUILDARCHIVES"
10) Unzip "crmshrjavadoc" file and you will get "javadoc.ppa" file
11) Rename "Javadoc.ppa" file to "Javadoc.zip"
12) Unzip "Javadoc.zip" file which we just rename in step 11.
13) you will get folder "Docs". This folder contain actual "javadoc.zip" file
14) Unzip above file and you will get Java API Documents for ISA 5.0 or ISA 6.0 or ISA 7.0 depends on "SAPSHRJAVxx_x-xxxxxxxx.SCA" version and SP level.
I just got ISA Java Doc by following above steps. It looks 14 step but once you download SCA file it will take only 2-3 minutes.
I am sure you will get Standard Java API for ISA just like ISA 4.0

ISA R3 integration on EP 6.0 SP 2 patch 4

Hello, we need to integrate ISA - R3 4.0 SP 6 (WAS 6.40 JAVA )on EP 6.0 SP2 patch 4 (WAS 6.20 JAVA).
We have installed EP on a machine and ISA-R3 on another machine.
We need more information about technology landscape, SSO beetwen EP and ISA-R3.
The acces to ISA-R3 will be through create a new ISA system or http iview ? I try to connect to iview to ISA - R3 admin application and is ok.

We have a similar situation with an implementation we are doing here at the client right now.
First of all, make sure that both the Portal and ISA are on the same domain.
What we have learned so far from this implementation is that:
R/3 has been configured to accept SAPLOGONTICKETS
a vanilla implementation of ISA should be able handle SSO SAPLOGONTICKETS from the Portal
use the application integrator par to create a system and iView that will pass the SAPLOGONTICKET from the Portal to ISA
Each Portal to ISA implementation I have been through has been different.
It all depends on how much customization the client has done to ISA and what version of ISA was installed (i.e, R/3, CRM, etc).
You might have to settle for SSO via UserMapping if your implmentation does not support SAPLOGONTICKETS.

Exchange 2010, Outlook Anywhere, Autodiscover, SAN Certs and ISA 2004

Everything I have read says that SAN certs do not work with ISA 2004. However I have read through the "White Paper: Understanding the Exchange 2010 Autodiscover Service" document to understand my options (url below) and notice that the SAN
cert option in the "Summary of supported scenarios for connecting to the Autodiscover service from the Internet" section implies that ISA 2004 may be able to work:
"Requires additional configuration if used together with either ISA Server 2004 or ISA Server 2006"

It's highly doubtful, since ISA 2004 has been in extended support for two years. See

Decommission ISA 2006?

We are getting rid of ISA 2006 and not replacing it.
Does it need to be manually uninstalled from each server like when removing a domain controller or Exchange server or can the ISA servers just be shut down and machine accounts deleted from AD?
