Upgrading list

Hey guys, I have a tangerine imac G3 and I want to upgrade the OS to 10.3 or 10.4. I would like a list of things I can try to upgrade things such as CD-Rom or firmware etc. Please help me with this, as I have sent almost 6 months trying to get this thing up to speed. Please include links to anything I need to download. Thanks guys

OS 10.4 is not supported on any tray-loading iMac.
For OS 10.3, ensure that you have Firmware 1.2 installed.
Additionally:
128 MB RAM (memory)
At least 1.5 GB free hard disk space
Note: For Mac OS X 10.2 or later, 3.0 GB is the recommended minimum. The exact amount required depends on your computer and how you install Mac OS X (default versus custom installation, for example).
This information is from KB 106163, Mac OS X: System Requirements.
In addition, you will need to install OS X in the first partition on the hard drive and that partition must be less than 8 GB.

  • ITunes Plus music available, but won't appear in upgrade list

    Hi,
I have a whole bunch of DRM music left after I did the iTunes upgrade. Many of the songs and albums left are indeed available as iTunes Plus when purchased outright from the store, but I'm not offered upgrade for them.
Ex. Annie Lennox - Songs of Mass Destruction. I bought the entire album originally DRM'd from the iTunes Store. It is available as Plus as both an entire album and as individual songs, yet I cannot upgrade my copy because I'm not offered it on the upgrade list.
-Is there a way to let Apple know so they can add it to my upgrade list?
    - Will I automatically get upgraded and get the upgrade price if I just try to buy the music again and I have it DRM'd in my iTunes?
    Thanks,
    Bob A.

-Is there a way to let Apple know so they can add it to my upgrade list?

  • Why is my brand DV7 1261 not on the Windows 7 free upgrade list?

I have a beautiful new DV7 1261wm notebook and it is not on the list for the free upgrade to windows v7.  Why is it not on the free upgrade list and what is the criteria of determining the models that ARE on the list?

    Hi,
DV7-1261wm is on the list of upgrade program.
Link to pdf is here (USA) or here (Canada) and is working. I just check it second ago.

  • V5-571P Laptop not on Windows 10 Upgrade list...really?

I'm still struggling to believe that Acer is not including the V5-571P on the Windows 10 upgrade list.  The exclusion is certainly at odds with the materials that Acer and Microsoft have promoted about the availability of the upgrade. Will the upgrade be blocked actaully preventing me from installing it?  The Windows 10 upgrade button would appear to support this as my prior confimred upgrade now shows as unavaiable and to check back later. Is this lazy engineering on Acer's part not wanting to support it.  Would really like an explanation how a 2 1/2 year old laptop is not on the list.  Acer CEO feel free to give me a call about letting your customers hang out to dry.  Guess that's what I get buying from a third-tier manufacturer...note to self. Anyone else have experience or sucess with this model and upgrading?  Hoping to rid myself of Windows 8.

This list:http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/windows10-eligible-modelsdoesn't mean that you can't upgrade to windows 10 but only that Acer will provide driver support for the following products....it's just a matter of drivers support, so you can let windows 10 upgrade them for your or manually check if windows 10 fails to find new one but you will never find on Acer support webpage any windows 10 drivers for your model. you can download the upgrade from here:http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

  • Upgrade list of transactions that changed

    Hi all,
We are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 6.0.   Is there somewhere where I can find a complete list of transactions that have changed?  IE have a screen change where our BDC programs will no longer work.
We'd like to get an idea of how big of an effort the upgrade will be as far as custom programs.  We have some BDCs that can be changed to BAPIs in 4.6C.  But like many of you the work, doesn't stop just because we are going to upgrade.  So rather than change all the BDC programs that we can, it would make sense to only change the ones on the list.
    Thank you,
    Michelle

That's not quite what I was looking for.  I probably didn't phrase my question well.
Can anyone tell me the transactions for the screens that have changed in ECC 6.0 from 4.6C?   We have BDCs and are looking for a way to determine which programs will no longer work - prior to having an ECC environment and just running the programs.
    Thank you,
    Michelle

  • Dv6 2129el Cpu upgrade list

It is possible to upgrade the cpu of a dv6 2129el and in case which are the compatible cpu?
    I found this: support manual
but this does not list my cpu so i don't know if it is reliable or not.
    (mine is a i5 m430)
    Thanks a lot!

Hello Simol87.  I understand you're wondering if you can upgrade your CPU.
It is possible but usually not a very easy upgrade.  You will face problems such as locating a supported CPU (this information is often not readily available).  It is possible that you'd also need to replace the cooling system and the power supply as well as the stock parts might not be able to handle the upgraded CPU.  If you would like to upgrade your notebook for better performance you'd likely be better off looking to a Solid State Drive or adding more RAM.  A CPU upgrade on a notebook is not suggested.
I hope this helps.  Have a great day!

  • Why isn't Photoshop Elements showing up in my upgrades list?

With the new version of Photoshop Elements in the store, I checked my available updates but there isn't an update listed. When I look at the purchased list and click on the application to go to its page, it just responds "Your request could not be completed". What gives?

Please Quit your Adobe Application Manager and re-launch it. It will update itself to the new Creative Cloud application and then you will see the CC apps for download. Install the all new CC apps and check if that works fine.
Let us know in case any issues.

  • Upgrading distribution lists created in Ex2003 - any side-effects or problems elsewhere?

    Hello,
We migrated from Ex2003 to Ex2010 a couple of years ago.
I'm trying to change the name of a few old distribution lists in the EMC and I'm being prompted to "upgrade" them and warned that it's a one-way conversion.
I know this is needed and I know that it's necessary. My question is if the conversion will ONLY affect the lists, or if it will affect the members or some other part of the Exchange organisation in some way? I also read that it prevents anonymous users
(ie, Internet users) from mailing the upgraded lists by default.
Exchange 2010 latest service pack with Outlook 2010 clients. Single forest/domain. DAG-based implementation in two AD-sites.
    Thanks,
    - Alan.

    Hi Alan,
From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:
Upgrading the Exchange version of an object is a one-way-street. After you upgrade the Exchange version of this distribution group, it cannot be managed or downgraded to the Exchange 2003 level with the Exchange admin tools anymore. A user with an Exchange
2003 mailbox cannot modify the distribution group membership of an Exchange 2010 version distribution group.
For more information, here is a blog for your reference.

  • Upgrading PC as a whole

    Hello everyone!
I am writing this to speak about upgrading my PC, a HP ENVY Phoenix 810-230qe, as a whole. I originally purchased a PC with an FX-8320 and a sad little graphics card back in 2013, and purchased a carepack with it. After the graphics card failed and was replaced three times in a single year, I called HP support and a nice case manager (Thanks Lorraine!) hooked me up with this one - a 4770k, 12GB RAM, and a nice r9 270. However, I am not comfortable with the PC's temperatures under load as there is only one fan for the entire PC and it's blocked by a 92mm Asetek water cooling block for the CPU.  Thus, I was looking to upgrade the PC as a whole around my birthday later this year. I planned on keeping the CPU, RAM, GPU, and 2TB HDD, but that left me confused - the PC came with a 16GB mSATA "Cache", and I don't know whether or not the 2TB HDD or the mSATA drive has my Windows OS on it - if the latter holds Windows, I'm going to have some problems. A picture of the two devices can be found here. Besides this, I'm not sure how the CPU is in. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not the CPU was mounted normally or if it was soldered on - the motherboard was made by MSI and the model name is "MS-7826".
If anyone wants to see my upgrade list and/or make suggestions, it can be found here. I hope I can get some advice about the PC as well as some help with my questions!

What you are wanting to do may work.  However, anytime you have high-end components in a smaller mid-size case, you are going to have problems with HEAT.  You are correct to be concerned.  Heat will cause all of the components to fail prematurely.  If you try to move the motherboard to another case, you have to assure that the holes in the motherboard match the stand-offs in the case.  Also, some of the connectors may not be the same as in a HP case.  HP has their motherboards made specifically for them.

  • Where can I find the app upgrade feature in genius???

Please see the screen shot above. This was from an article dated 2010 when genius first came out. It stated that genius had a feature that would let you know what apps that you had installed on an iphone could be upgraded to the app made for ipad. Have not been able to locate where to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks James but I am not talking about updates I am talking about upgrades....some apps are optimized for iphone and some for ipad. Some apps work with either device. What I am talking about is an article I read that said that genius would tell you if an app you bought that was for an iphone only had a version of it made for ipad that would work. I will paste the wording of the article to better explain myself.
Apple pushed a nice new feature to the iPad section of the App Store this morning. A new tab entitled “iPad Upgrades” lists the iPad-optimized counterparts to iPhone apps you’ve purchased. You’ll find it in the Genius section, which is also new for the iPad (it’s been available for iPhone/iPod touch apps for quite a while).

  • G40 2384-A9U Hard drive upgrade

I updated the bios to 1.21 which seems to be the latest bios 2006. The hard drive upgrade listed for purchase 2004 was an 80G. I was hopeing that I could put a larger dirve in because the newer bios was 2 years past the hard drive upgrade listing. I tried a 250G but it does not seem to be recognized. Does anyone know what the max hard drive size the latest bios supports?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I first entered CMOS (setup) and under security, and set the desktop to disable.  I was able to transfer the data to the 250G from the 40G using Ghost 2003 and selecting the image setting -IB (Image Boot). I was fortunate enough to have a floppy drive on the notebook (G40 2384-A9U). I attached an external USB 40G drive to the notebook, booted with Norton's Ghost 2003 boot disk created with USB support enabled. I went into options and selected Image Boot under the image tab and then copied the  existing 40G drive to the external 40G USB drive. I then replaced the 40G drive in the notebook with the 250G drive, booted with the Norton Ghost disk and selected the image boot again and copied the 40G USB drive to the new 250G drive now in the notebook. I went back into the CMOS (setup) and put the security for the desktop back to normal. The only thing different seem to be the utilities are missing if you hit the IBM access button. I notice that when you disable the security for the desktop in CMOS, you will see an unpartitioned space of almost 2Gigs. This appears to be where some of the 4 sectors that lenovo uses to hold the boot information and probably their utility programs. The norton -IB switch does seem to get the boot sector information but not the utility portion of the unused area. The result is the unused space is reduced to only 2 megs on a 40 Gig drive and shows up as 4 megs on the 250 Gig drive.

  • Upgrade failure

    Hi experts,
I am deploying a new WSA, but seem unable to upgrade AsyncOS - when I check for available upgrades, I receive the following error:
    Error
    Failure downloading upgrade list.
Everything else seems to be OK - I have time via the default NTP servers, checks for new feature keys return a success, policy trace returns what I would expect.
I have noticed that the feature keys the client purchased are listed as Active with 30 days remaining and an expiration date of Dormant.
Does the appliance license need to be activated? I can't seem to locate a Claim Certificate to find the PAK...
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The status Dormant means that the feature is currently not being used by the Device e.g as the HTTPS Proxy status shows Dormant this generally means that the device is currently not using this feature.
Regarding the Upgrade issue, I would request you to make sure the following ports are not being blocked by the firewall:

  • How to upgrade to WSA 7.5?

    Hello all,
I would like to know where I can get the image to upgrade to WSA 7.5, I currently have an Ironport S370 versión 7.1.3-021. According to the release notes, my version should be able to upgrade directly to 7.5, however on System Administration > System Upgrade, I dont see the version 7.5 as available for me to do the upgrade, the only version available is 7.1.3-025
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hello,
Chris is correct.  7.5 is not GA and there is no date for GA as of yet.  What this means is that your box has not been provisioned for 7.5 and you will not see it in your upgrade list.

  • Issues upgrading from 7.5.1 to 10gR3

We are having issues upgrading from Content Server 7.5.1 to 10gR3 running a Sql Server 2005 back end (based on Windows Server 2003).
We run through the upgrade process (which completes with warnings), but when we try to start the Content Server, we get the following error:
( 0%) Changing lengths of fields in table 'DocFormats'...
system 01.17 12:17:42.738 main When asking the database
for a list of tables, we got no tables back (internal)

We are looking for advice from anyone who has been through this upgrade (in the same type of environment), or who have encountered this error or anything like it. The error appears to indicate a database access issue, but we have profiled the upgrade and startup, and have proved that the processes are reaching the database. We
have also tried the install against clean and complex installs, and have tried both JDTS and Microsoft drivers without success (same error).
We have spent many days on this, and have been working with Oracle support, but are starting to worry about how realistic the upgrade is.
    Cheers,
    Dave T

Oracle support suggested I execute an "exec sp_changeobjectowner 'DocFormats','<SchemaName>" command against the database.
I did this for the DocFormats table only.
When I tried to start the instance, the error message stated the DocFormats table was now missing.
Inside the database, the table 'Stellent.DocFormats' was visible through SQL Server management.
I then created a copy of this table as 'dbo.DocFormats' (as it was originally), and tried starting the process again (with the config.cfg variables you suggested).
It turns out the upgrade process can now see the DocFormats table and upgrade it successfully (The dformat column is now showing as varchar(80) ).
The startup process now fails at the very next table in the upgrade list (see output below).
Sounds like a database owner/permissions issue.
Any ideas from anyone with SQL Server experience?
