Upgrading LiveCycle 8.0.1 SP3 to 8.2

Hi,
I need to upgrade my Live Cycle ES version 8.0.1 SP3 to LiveCycle ES v8.2.
There is my environment :
- JBoss v4.0.3SP1
- SQL Server 2005 SP1
- Windows Server Standard Edition 2003 R2 SP1
So, my issue is that in the prepareupgrade_8x.pdf they said :
" Platforms that are supported in LiveCycle ES version 8.0 continue to be supported in LiveCycle ES
version 8.2."
But in the same pdf they said :
"LiveCycle ES supports the following Microsoft Windows operating system:
● Standard Server 2003 SP2 and later
● Enterprise Edition SP2 and later
● Standard Server R2 SP2 and later
● Enterprise Edition R2 SP2 and later running on 32-bit, 64-bit, and VMWare ESX/GSX architectures"
So I want to know if I could do the upgrading without trouble because my windows server 2003 is SP1 and not SP2 and my sql server 2005 is SP1 to.
Thanks.

Hi,
I configured LiveCycle ES.
I copied the ear from the export file to the Jboss/server/all/deploy file.
I tried the connection to the database witout issue.
The connection to the Livecycle doesn't work.
In the jboss server log file, I found this :
--- Incompletely deployed packages ---

Prepare the domains as required. You have to prep the forest first for SP3 before upgrading Exchange itself
    Follow all the instructions

  • Upgrading XP-Pro SP2 to SP3. Consequences to....

    Hi!
Upgrading XP-Pro SP2 to SP3. What are the consequences to:
1]  Recovery Console, especially if installed on your drive? Should it be reinstaled? But it will need a CD with SP3 version of XP.
2]  Previously created recovery disk. Should it be recreated? If you do, is it actually taking account of SP3?
3]  Can the SP3 upgrade be slipstreamed as SP1 and SP2, creating a SP3 version of XP?
There are more questions, but this are the most important.
    Thanks for your interest.

ANSWERS TO MY QUESTIONS WITH XP-SP3 RELEASED AND INSTALLED, FOR THE BENEFIT OF MEMBERS.
1] The Recovery console should be reinstalled after the SP3 upgrade, but....
2] you must create first a slipstream CD of XP PRO SP3, which can certainly be done,
3} following previously issue procedure by MS, so that it can find the new information.
In the same vane, you can not slipstream Vista to SP1. MS is suppose to provide it.
    Cheers

  • After upgrading Exchange Server 2007 to SP3 with update rollup 13, OWA not working

    Hi,
We have just installed Service Pack 3 and update rollup 13 on our Exchange Server 2007, but unfortunately our OWA has gone inaccessible.
PROBLEM- The following error comes up when we try to access OWA :
    Exception
    Exception type: Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Core.OwaInvalidConfigurationException
Exception message: Object reference not set to an instance
    of an object.

    Microsoft.Exchange.Clients.Owa.Core.OwaConfigurationManager.CreateAndLoadConfigurationManager()
    ACTION TAKEN SO FAR :
    1. Removed OWA virtual directories and recreated them again.
    2. IIS has been reset.
    3. Restarted the HUB/CAS server.
    4. Created public folder database.
Even after doing all these activities, owa is still inaccessible. Please help.
    Regards,
    Ankur

    Hi Ankur,
From your description, you can't access to OWA after upgrading Exchange server 2007 to SP3 rollup 13. Firstly, please locate to C:\ExchangeSetupLogs and make sure that it is a successful installation. If not, this issue often occurs.
If it is a successful upgrading, please follow the steps below for troubleshooting.
    1. Open IIS Manager, click Default Web Site -> Authentication, make sure that Anonymous Authentication and Windows Authentication are enabled.
    2. Click Default Web Site -> SSL Settings, check "Require SSL" and click Ignore.
    3. Click Default Web Site -> HTTP Redirect, check Redirect (enter your
https://URL), check "Only redirect" box and Status code Found 302.
    4. Expand Server Configuration -> Client Access ->double click owa ->Authentication tab. Check the Basic Authentication and check the Use forms-based authentication button Logon Format: Domain\user name.
    Hope it helps.

  • Upgrade ZCM 11 SP1a to SP3

Our zone is currently running ZCM11 SP1a, I'm looking into upgrading to SP3. From the docs I see that primary server cannot be upgraded directly from SP1a to SP3, but agents can be upgraded directly. I will also need to upgrade the server OS (SLES11 SP1), so the entire server upgrade will probably be a several evening affair.
So there will be an interim period when agent on workstations is SP1a, but server is running SP2 or SP3. Will that cause any problems?

    This should be fine.

  • Upgrade service error after ZFD3 SP3 to ZFD4.01 upgrade

    Hi,
Having upgraded from ZFD3.2 SP3 to ZFD4.01 and carefully following the
documentation instructions I still get the following error on the Inventory
    Service startup screen:
"The Upgrade Service is migrating the schema
An error has occurred. The upgrade service is exiting now."
The Inv Srv object Server Status log says:
"1178: An error occured while performing the DBSchema migration
1177: Unable to complete all the operations, the upgrade service is exiting
    with errors.
106: The Storer succesfully connected to the database
108:the database in not initialized as it is being upgraded"
All of these errors on the support site have as a fix either restart the
    Inventory Service or contact Novell.
I've spent some hours now looking for a fix on Knowledgebase and in the Zen
forums but can't find anything useful. This is the second time I've run the
upgrade and this problem has occurred. I've reinstalled Zen3.2 from scratch,
    applied SP1 and SP3.
I've checked policies and database objects, all appears as it should be.
These seem to be the relevant errors from the log files:
    Migration Log:
Migration Exception Message->Could not add the dbspace..ASA Error -121:
Permission denied: unable to create the dbspace file "CIM10",
    SQLState->42501, ErrorCode->262

Is there no option but to go straight to Novell?

  • ITunes 10.1.2 upgrade on  Win XP Pro SP3 Kills Internet access

The latest iTunes 10.1.2 install on my Win XP Pro SP3 system kills my Internet access. Internet status shows that I'm connected but Internet Explorer and Firefox can't connect to the server. Running Win XP Pro SP3 with all MS updates applied on a Dual-Core Intel 6600 chip, 4 gig of memory and a couple of terabytes of hard drive. When I do a restore from my backup hard drive to the prior OS and iTunes version, everything is back to normal. I didn't receive any error notifications both times from the install. I first did the install from the Apple website directly (and lost Internet access), then restored my backup system and downloaded the update separately and then installed and lost Internet access again. Am now back up using iTunes 10.1.1.4. Is this update from Egypt? (supposed to be funny).
    Thanks-
    Richard

Thanks for the link. I noticed that "Swut" from Orange County, Ca (see the post below) had a reply in the link you gave me referring to "Vipre" , which is an Anti-Virus program that I also use, like "Swut".
I will investigate this further. In defense of Apple, there is no way that they can test against every bit of software that we run on these PCs. I would hope that if we find out that there is some problem with the Vipre interface, both Apple and the Vipre people will be made aware of the problem.
Before I try the iTunes 10.2.1 upgrade again, I'll contact Sunbelt Software- the people who make Vipre and see if they have heard of this problem. I'll let all of you know what the results are.
    Thanks- Richard Van Nostrand

I didn't have to go all the way through with TRG10987s solution. When I got to step 4 I noticed that VIPRE had installed multiple virtual network adapters on to of the network adapters. I uninstalled VIPRE thereby deleting the virtual adapters ran the upgrade, and reinstalled VIPRE. Everything works fine now.
Thanks to TG10987, who put me on the path."

I think UpdatePolicyURL doesn't have relation to SP applying.
    What meaning is it?
-->2. I assume you do have an SID.

    Hi,
Schema updates should be done on a schema master or on a DC in the same AD site as the schema master. Once extended, the updates will replicated via AD replication. To narrow down the issue, I recommend you check if there is any event related to replication
on domain controller holding schema master role.
Is the schema master role in the same site as the Exchange server which you want to upgrade? If not, you can try to transfer FSMO role to a domain controller which is in the site where you want to install Exchange 2010 SP3 and then upgrade to check the result.

  • Exchange 2010 failing to upgrade to SP1, SP2, or SP3

My host server is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. Currently Exchange 2010 is without any service pack. I initially tried to upgrade to SP1 but that failed with the message below. Thinking that I could perhaps skip to SP2 or even SP3 I attempt that
upgrade and received a similar message though not posted here. The Schema for our domain shows that it is at the Windows Server 2008 R2 level. I am attempting to apply the update using the Enterprise/Schema admin account for our network.
Here is the error message that I receive. This happens after all prereq checks are done and the installation has actually started.

Agreed - check the default email address policy is not corrupt and same for remote domains - did you make ay modifications to them?
Since he is running this as das Uber-admin, it will prep Exchange schema and AD even if not explicitly done prior.  Exchange setup is helpful like that, well some times....

  • EVDRE Access Issue Post Upgrade from BPC 5.1 SP3 to BPC 7.0 SP6

    Greetings,
Recently upgraded from BPC 5.1SP3 to BPC 7.0 SP6.  Experiencing some strange behavior regarding the ability to send data to BPC from an EVDRE.  Both users are part of the same secuity team, thus have the same security in both versions.  However, one is able to send data to BPC 7.0 SP6 for a specific input template while the other recieves a message "There is no data to refresh."    This message is not encountered in BPC 5.1 SP3.
The strange thing is that the user who receives the "there is no data to refresh" is able to rebuild the input template ad hoc and send data to BPC
I have reviewed security, cleared the cache on the user's machine.  I had the user with this issue log onto the app server; she encountered the same behavior regarding this template.  Also tested a seperate input template in another application, this issue did not occurr.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Greg Lakin

    Hi, n
From your description it looks like the problem si more related to that specific user. Please try to reprocess the security for that user. Then go on file server and go into <appset>/<application>/<private publication>/<user name> and delete appinfo.zip.
Other idea can be related to the excel cache, but I don;t know why is not working for this specific user. You can try to save it in a new template as Patrick indicated.
You can try also clear local application information from admin client or try from other machine using the same client.
    Hope this can hekp you,
    Mihaela

I read in the SAP documentation that  "sp4 installation is supported on top of Fix pack 2.10 or lower or Fix pack 3.4 or lower".
I'm not sure to clearly understand this advice, so my two questions are :
    1. With my current version, do I have to install a fix pack before installing sp4 ?
    2. Is it possible to uninstall sp4 ?
(I understood that fix packs and service pack must be uninstalled in the reverse order in wich they were installed)
    Thanks !
    David

    Hi,
    1. No you dont - you can upgrade directly
    2. Yes it is. During Installation of SP4 one or more .zip Files will be generated in your BO_INSTALL_DIR. I think they are called something like "SP4_PATCH.zip". Unless you dont delete them manually, you can un- install SP4.

  • Upgrading 11.2.3 to Sp3 failed!

Hi, I'm testing the upgrade of Zenworks 11.2.3 to Sp3 in my test environment and it failed.
On the screen there's an error executing AddIdColumnMssqlConfigureAction, check the novell-zenworks-configure.log.
In this log, there's no error! its just write that it stop the services then "StartConfigureAction complete!".
The only error I found is in the file services-messages.log and it write "License is expired".
In the System Update Entitlement, the Entitlement State is expired. But what I've read in the forums is that the update can be done on command line anyway.
Can this error prevent me to upgrade to Sp3?
The OS is SLES11Sp3 64bits, the external DB is SQL 2008 R2.
The ZENworks_Upgrade_....log.xml give me that the SQL server is reachable at port 1433.
So I'm not sure what to check next?
I tried the TID 7014681 to create the Audit db but it still have the same error.
    Can someone help me?
    thank you.

My problem was that the default langage of the zenworks user on the SQL server was french.

  • Unable to upgrade Livecycle 9.0

I originally got the error message "Word (version XP or onwards) could not be found on the machine" when trying to import a Word document into Livecycle ES2 (v 9.0.0.2). Rather than using the registry hack, my manager wants me to upgrade. After spending 2 hours looking for service pack upgrades, I now cannot get them to run. I tried with SP2, then got SP1 (thinking I could then upgrade to 2). Both of them give the same error: "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch". The program is located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Designer 9.0\FormDesigner.exe" - where I expect it to be and the default location. I have also tried running the updates as administrator. The are called:
    Designer9_English_SP1
    Designer9_English_SP2.1
This is driving me nuts, is there any way out of this?

My iPhoto is still version 7.1.5 and it will not allow me to get iLife 11 until I have version 9 first, but when I try to install 9.1 all I get is "iPhoto update cannot be installed on this disk. iPhoto 9.0 or later is required to install this update."  So how do I get 9.0?

  • Workaround instead of Upgrading Exchange 2010 Severs to SP3

    Hi
I have a customer in an exchange 2010 environment who has 4 exchange servers in place with DAG and NLB setup. We plan to go ahead with a Hybrid setup however just need to clarify if there is any workaround that we could apply instead of having to upgrade
there exchange server to 2010 SP3?
    Thanks & Regards
    Aaqib

    Hi,
I notice that you want to deploy hybrid environment, and don’t upgrade to Exchange 2010 SP3.
Depending on the Microsoft document, Exchange 2010 SP3 support hybrid deployment with Exchange 2013 CU1 or later version, however Exchange 2010 SP1 and SP2 are not supported.
More details about Hybrid deployment prerequisites, for your reference:
