Upgrading my iPhone
Hey! I am upgrading from my iPhone 4S to a 5S because of different reasons. I sold my 4S already but haven't given it yet to the buyer because I need to move everything to the new iPhone. Nonetheless, I still haven't got my 5S, and I won't until around Christmas. The problem is I need to move everything I had in the 4S to the 5S once I get it. So, which is the best way to do this? Move apps, files in apps (documents in DocsToGo).

I upgraded from iPhone 3GS to iPhone 6. Everything converted fine. Yesterday I deleted an app in error. When I downloaded the software it from iTunes ( did this many times on the old 3GS), my account is no longer recognized by the app's host servers (Playtika), even though it did after the initial conversion. Can I go back and re-sync just one app from my old phone?
Try deleting what is called the iPod Photo Cache.

I recently upgraded my iphone 3GS to the new ioS 5.1. After I did this and synced my phone, it won't let me play any audio from apps, itunes or music. It will allow the phone to ring but that is all. When I use viber I have to press this button and change it from docking to iphone. I take it that the phone thinks I'm permanently on a docking system.
It also will not sync my music back to my phone. My music is on itunes but it won't let it sync.
I have restored my phone twice and it still won't work - HELP!! Please???Your device is broken. If you want a device that works better than the one you have now, then you'll either need to bring your phone into Apple for out of warranty exchange ($149), or find a 3rd party repair shop in your area and see what they can do, if anything at all.

I have spent the last hour trying to upgrade my IPhone to IOS 7 using ITUnes. Now, my phone wil not work at all. I think it is backed up on my computer, but I am unable to get it to download to the phone. What to do?

I have downloaded iphone 4.0.2 firmware on Itunes on my Imac.
Considering all the problems this release seems to create,
I decided not to upgrade the Iphone.
I there a way to get rid of the release download on Itunes,
to prevent any accidental unvoluntary uprade ?
Jean.i had an ipod touch 3rd gen until a few weeks ago (i sold it), i got an iphone 3G (bcos i can't afford 3GS. in my country it's quite expensive). after i updated my ex-ipod to iOS4, i totally loved it, although at times i noticed it got slow with apps, but nothing big there. just lagged for like 1-2 seconds (which never happened before with OS 3.1.3.
i love the iOS4 so much in my ex-ipod that i soooo..want to upgrade my iphone 3G too, but looking at all these complaints makes me so disappointed. after reading all this complaints, it seems like Apple doesn't really understand its own machines. they should've created at least 2 different updates of iOS4. 1 for the 3GS and above, while another 1 for 3G and below or whatsoever. it really shows that there are so much of a difference between 3G and 3GS.
What Apple is doing to it's users is a sign of "ungrateful". especially to the iphone 3G users. i fell so sad for them. i'm really sorry, u guys.. i really hope Apple will find a COMPLETE solution for us 3G users ASAP, which also includes a REAL upgrade, not a downgrade. helllloooo!!!!
lastly, i feel really GRATEFUL for not upgrading my iphone 3G to the iOS4 (ANY VERSION)!!
p/s: those who have not done the upgrade, PLEASE DO NOT DO IT!!! you'll regret it. -
Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 4 to Version 5, all the new apps that I try to download keeps saying "waiting" on my phone... It won't open or download! Only the old apps that I already had before I upgraded my phone works. Please help!!!
Try resetting the iPhone.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
It won't open or download!
If that doesn't help tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings -
I have just upgraded to Iphone 4S as my Iphone 3G failed. I want to transfer the data which I believe is stored in my Itunes account. But when I connect the phone to my computer nothing happens it just ask me if I want to download pictures or video. it does not go to my Itunes account.
swisscom say they cannot help it should go to your account and select the phone under devises but I canniot get a screen to do this can anyone help

I upgraded my Iphone to IOS6, but now I can't connect it to itunes (10.6.3) because it is not upgraded. However, when I want to upgraded, it says that my computer (imac Mac OS 10.5.8) needs to be upgraded to another version. I can't find anything to help me out.
You need iTunes 10.7 or later.
To get this, you need Mac OS 10.6.8 or later.

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice. -
i upgraded from iphone 3gs to 4; in itunes, it doesn't "see" the 4 is attached, so i'm not able to sync. it does see the old 3gs, under the new number. i need help with syncing my new phone with all the data stored in itunes.HELP!
What computer OS are you using? Need to know that before recommending a support document.

I am trying to upgrade my iPhone via my macbook but the following message keeps coming up and the download does not work
"There are purchased items on the iPhone “Mark Price’s iPhone” that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. You should transfer these items to your iTunes library before updating this"
Please advise how I can transfer these files, I am not sure what files are in question.
I've only had the MacBook a couple of days, I am PC savvy but this is all new to me so please keep it as simple as possible. I am a brit based in Bahrain.

Mark Priceokay I've done everything regarding the transfer process (via file>transfer purchases) and syncing, so everything on my iPhone device seems to have been transferred to my iMac... however, I still get that message ("There are purchased items on the iPhone..."), trying to upgrade the iOS Have tried several times the same process of hitting transfer purchases via file, but nothing seems to make that message go away! Would have been nice to know which files I actually do need to transfer, which I don't get any info on of course...
Starting to get really annoying this thing.. Any smart suggestions what's going on? -

Since upgrading my iphone 4 to IOS6, apps keep opening and closing on their own and the wrong ones open when another is pressed. I've tried a full reset but still the same thing...HELP PLEASE :-(
I'm not familiar with the Belkin cover, but you could try removing the cover and reboot the iPad and see how that goes.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I had to erase my data to upgrade my iPhone software from an older version. I backed up first, but seem to have lost all my notes. Does anyone know how retrieve my old notes?

If I go tot this window on finder and enter Time Machine I can go back and find old notes...
If so, am I doing this on my new hard drive on on the time machine? When I do this on the time machine, what is "my home"? Also, I am unable to find "containers".
If I go to users/jeff/library, then I see components, compositions, contextual, etc, but not containers.

I have upgraded my iPhone using IO6. Before doing this operation the advises to me is to back up the phone, which I did using iCloud.
When I tried to restore the back it does not access my password which I have given to restore my password.if you cant remember the password of your back-up encryption, you can't back it up
