Upgrading OBIEE to higher version

I have intalled OBIEE version 10.1.3.3.0 and now as newer version is available,I want upgrade to 10.1.3.3.2. I have already created Reports in older version. please guide that how should I migrate to higher version.. so that i can use my old reports, dasboard and Answers request.

You need keep backup files for Oracle BI and Oracle BI data then start upgrading after that then copy your rpd and web cat files from pervious version back up files in Oracle BI and Oracle Bi Data in to your New Versio Oracle BI and data then restart your service and you can have access to your reports that you have created in older version.
Hope This Helps
Thanks

    hienn,
Not yet. There was an upgrade page to 10.8.2 for the late 2012 models but it's down now. I have to assume that Apple pulled it because of some bugs. I would look for something next week, more likely than not. In the meantime, the OP should be good with 10.8.1 until the update shows up again.

  • Hi, My i photo library is not opening up. What should I do? I have version 9.1 i photo 11. I dont want to upgrade to a higher version because I havent backed up m data.

hi, My i photo library is not opening up when I click it. What should I do? I have version 9.1 i photo 11. I dont want to upgrade to a higher version because I havent backed up my data. Just need support on how to open it up.

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

    Hi ..
It depends on which generation iPod touch you have whether you can update.
The versions on the right are as far as the iOS software can be updated to for each generation.
    iPod Touch 1                               iOS 3.1.3
    iPod Touch 2                               iOS 4.2.1
    iPod Touch 3                               iOS 5.1.1
    iPod Touch 4                               iOS 6.1.x

  • On Windows 7 Enterprise OS, Firefox failed to start when upgrading to any higher versions after 6.0.2

    Hi
Please can you help me with this?
Currently I am running Firefox version 6.0.2 on my Windows 7 Enterprise OS Desktop.
When I try to update Firefox, installations completes successfully. However when trying to launch Firefox, browser window is not opened. It was showing a 'Firefox failed to start' error message for versions before 11. For the latest version i.e 11, no error messages are displayed. When trying to launch application, no browser window is opened, but I can see Firefox process running in Task Manager. I tried to do a clean install by removing all add-ins and also deleting Firefox folder under program files. It did not solve the problem.
    Thanks
    Chandra

Ok, well let's try going straight to what the problem probably is, a corrupted profile.
Can you please read [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles], and create a new testing profile? Start Firefox 6 up using the new profile, then close it. After you've done that, upgrade to Firefox 11, and try starting, again using the new profile. If everything works, then you just had a corrupted profile, and you can read [[Recovering important data from an old profile|Recovering important data from an old profile]], which explains how to transfer your data from your old one to your new profile.
Let me know if this helps!

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • None of the higher versions over 3.6 work on my computer. They actually freeze and do nothing right from the start

Each time I try to upgrade to a higher version of firefox, anything over 3.6 the syster won't work. Everything freezes and can't open any pages. I have tried to download since version 4 and just tried downloading to use the latest version and nothing. Just frozen screen.

Well, it says I already have the most recent version. However Google Plus still says my version is out of date.
A friend suggested I back up my bookmarks, then try uninstalling & reinstalling Firefox the traditional way, and rebooting my system afterwards.
I'm going to try that to see if there is some kind of other issue going on between Google Plus and all of the websites that say my browser is out of date (ie. version 3.5) when it is not.
    Thanks!
ps. I did try what you suggested, and that's where I found out my browser version is current.

  • Need to upgrade EP 6.0 SP 9 to higher version

    Hi,
I have MDM 5.5 SP 6 running on Oracle 9.2 in Windows 2003 server. I had WAS 6.4 SP 9 and EP 6.0 SP 9 installed on the same server. I need to implement Universal Worklist (UWL) in EP 6.0. There were some packages missing in EP 6.0 SP 9 ( like System administration -> System configuration -> UWL administration) for which I need to install higher version on EP 6.0 . Also as MDM 5.5 is running on Oracle 9.2, I can not upgrade to Oracle 10.2 at present and hence EP 7.0 is out of question as WAS 7.0 will require Oracle 10.2.
Now can any one tell me which are the files to be downloaded from the following list which will ensure the installation of EP version which is higher than EP 6.0 SP 9 . Please remember I already have WAS 6.4 SP 9 and EP 6.0 SP 9 and hence need not download them. So which are the files I should download. What does the upgrade export files do?

    Hi Joshua,
Yes you can upgrade EP6 SP9 to SP12 directly. Java support packs are cumulative. You don't need to apply sp10 or sp11. You can download the documentation from service.sap.com or you can email me at [email protected] I will send you the pdf for the upgrade.

    Retail Leopard disc looks like this;
(The disc itself has the same logo). If the one you've got is grey it simply won't work.
Given the retail and second hand prices of Leopard (usually some on Amazon MP), you'll probably find it cheaper to go directly to Snow Leopard, although there could be software updates and printer driver problems that could nullify the difference.

As Kurt Lang posted, Mac OS X Versions 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5, are complete system upgrades that must be purchased.
Once an OS has been installed, the point upgrades, such as 10.1.x to 10.1.5 (Final) 10.2.x to 10.2.8 (Final), 10.3.x to 10.3.9 (Final), and 10.4.x to 10.4.11 (Pending), can be downloaded for free.
Tiger is available for purchase at The Apple Store (U.S.).
If your Mac meets the Leopard System Requirements. Leopard 10.5.x, can be purchased at The Apple Store (U.S.).
Also, if you know what to look for, a Full Retail Version, of the Tiger Install DVD, can be purchased, sometimes less expensively, at some online Apple retailers, Amazon, eBay, FastMac, HardCore Mac, AllMac, etc.
Be sure not to purchase grey, upgrade or machine specific CDs or DVDs.
The discs should look exactly like the images in the above links, and not say Upgrade, CPU Drop-in DVD, or "This software is part of a hardware bundle purchase - not to be sold seperately." on them.

    Tiger On eBay
If your Mac meets the Tiger System Requirements, once Tiger 10.4.x is installed, you can use the PPC 10.4.11 Combo Update, to upgrade to the current version.
Additionally, Tiger 10.4.x ships on a DVD, so if your Mac doesn’t have a built-in DVD-ROM player, you will have to use an alternative method of installation.

  • Upgrade MacBook OS from original Mac OS x 10.4.11 to higher Version

    Hi Support Team,
I am using an old MacBook installed with Mac OS x 10.4.11.
I wish to upgrade my Max OS to a higher version.
    What could be done?
    Thanks,
    NORA

Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service — this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion — System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

  • Firmware crash on cisco 1310 Bridge while upgrade to higher version

    Dear experts,
My cisco 1310 Bridge old firmware C1310-K9W7-tar.123-8.jea3 is crash while i try to upgarade to the higher version C1310.K9W7-tar.124.10b.jda2 via HTTP service upgrade, any advise to get back the firmware.
    rgds,
    woo.

It appears that you are assigning IP address properly. For some reason we are not getting a response from TFTP server. This is typically one of 2 things:
    1. Firewall on the TFTP server workstation
    2. Connectivity issue between AP and TFTP server
I would check firewall settings on the TFTP workstation. Are you connecting the AP to the workstation directly or through a switch? If it is through a switch, you could plugin a different workstation to the AP switchport to make sure it could reach the server as well.

  • ZSearch Help: will it remain during upgradation from ECC6 to higher version

    Hi,
During upgarde from ECC6 to higher versions, will zserach help be moved to higher version automatically or will it be removed and I have to create ZSearch Help again in the higher version.
What about the ZTable, will it be there in higher version or I need to create it again in the higher version.
    Thanks,
    Priyanka.

    Hello Priyanka
Upgrading your SAP system will <b>not affect</b> your Z-objects <b>directly</b>.
However, if your Z-objects reference (i.e. use) SAP standard objects that are changed (or, rarely, are deleted) during upgrading then you may have to adjust your Z-objects. Therefore, keep your (automatic) test scripts available (e.g. eCATT) and run them immediately after the upgrade has been finished.

  • About upgrade from previous version of Apex to a higher version-XE

    Hi,
We are using Apex based on database 10g Xe, but we found that it is not easy to upgrade to a newer version of apex, becuase we have to install the full version at every realease of a new apex.
We cannot access Metalink to find the patchsets for upgrade, will you make it easier for upgrading the xe, like, put a upgrade file in the full realease?
Or enable downloading the upgrade patchset out of Metalink?
    Is that possible?
    Peter

    Hi John & Arie,
Thanks for your kind answers, at currently we are not considered an upgrade, becuase our database is so small, and so little end users for my apex app, I am only running a very small, not much feature apex app, and only with cocurrent users 2, total users 5. We used the app almost one year, and if I expdp the schema I am using for work, it is only 4.5MB.
It is totally my personal stuff, I found it is very effiecient, becasue otherwise I have to do the samething with MS Excel, my small app, though humble, but much better than Excel.
I may consider an upgrade if I made a success step with Bill of Material and the warehouse management, in the future, currenlty I still don't have to gut/skill to do so, I am struggling with PL/SQL now, the basic stuff.
So, I think any upgrade will be too expensive for us, and I even dreamed the printing with BI, but that is just too expensive for my humble app.
yeah, though without access of Metalink, we can still find some very good workarounds, thanks to the apex/Oracle team, and guys/girls like you that offer kind of free services at this forum.
I just did the upgrade with the full installation, I drop everything and reloaded them after upgrading.
Took me around 1.5 hours to do so.
    Cheers,
    Peter
