Upgrading or Uniuunstalling iTubes for Windows

I was prompted to install an iTines upgrade from 9.02x to 9.03x. In trying to do this I repeatedly got to a point where it said it couldn't find the itunes.msi file which was necessary to continue. I searched my laptop, no luck. I tried to uninstall iTunes so I could then re-install the new version but got to the same point asking for the same file. Now I am stuck. I can't uninstall iTunes, I can't upgrade it and now I can''t even open the application. How can I get rid of iTunes from my system?

In trying to do this I repeatedly got to a point where it said it couldn't find the itunes.msi file which was necessary to continue.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from Microsoft:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
Now run the utility ("Start > All programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries, and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

You have to pay for major version upgrades, like LR 3 to LR 5.
You can purchase the upgrade from Adobe for 79 US Dollars from Products, make sure you have your Lightroom 3 serial number available (and maybe cheaper from other sellers)

  • Just upgraded to QT Pro for Windows and cant find the "new screen recording" option

I've only ever used QT Pro for Mac. Son got a Windows laptop and would like to do screen recording so I upgraded his QT Player to Pro version.
I had a chat with Apple Store support but they didnt know. Are there differences in Mac and Windows versions? How to get a refund if so? Thanks.

Try these (free) utilities or search for paid versions:

  • Upgrading Acrobat XI Standard for Windows to XI Pro for Mac

I recently purchased a SnapScan Scanner that came with a full version of Acrobat XI Standard for Windows.  I have a Mac, and as Adobe doesn't make a Standard for Mac, I'm wondering if it's possible to upgrade to Pro using the serial number I already have rather than purchase a whole new version.  Is this doable?  I attempted to use the serial number in the Pro download and it wouldn't take.

  • Windows Pro upgrade with Hyper-V for Windows App development

    Hi
I am just starting to develop my first windows phone app. I dowloaded Visual studio 2013 express on my windows 8 machine. I started to follow the Microsoft Virtual Academy, Develop Windows phone apps for Beginners with Bob Tabor.
Anyway, when i try to run the Emulator, it tells me i need Hyper-V which my version of windows doesn't have. Apparently i need Windows Professional. Anyway, this costs about £100 to upgrade. Also, for the emulator i am told i need 4gb of RAM.
Question 1: My laptop is an i5, 64bit machine, windows 8.1 normal edition, with 4gb of RAM. It says of which 3.88gb of ram is usable. Whatever that means?
The minimum requirement for the emulator is 4gb, will it work on my machine which apparently has 3.88 ?
Question 2: I already own a nokia windows 8.1 phone. A basic enough model. Instead of buying the upgrade for windows pro, is it a big hassle to run my test apps on that phone? How difficult is it to run a test build of an app on my phone? Can i run it via
the inside of visual studio? Or do i need to go to file explorer, copy and paste files over to the phone, disconnect it from the laptop etc. How many steps are involved? If its a load of hassle i might be safer to just bite the bullet and buy the Windows pro
    upgrade.
(although i am aware the emulator can't test some things that the actual phone can..eg near field communication etc.)
    Any advice?
    Regards
    Conor

It's not that big of a hassle to debug your app by deploying it on your phone. It's just a matter of choosing Device instead of Emulator when you start debugging in VS.
Some of the downsides are that your phone's screen must be on and not showing the lock screen, and the fact that you can only have a maximum of 2 apps installed on your phone for debugging purposes. If you start developing and debugging a third app, then
you must first uninstall one of the other 2 apps to be able to deploy the third app to your phone. To my knowledge the emulator does not have such a limit. I believe there's a paid developer account option available somewhere if you want to raise the limit
    beyond 2 apps.
Other than that, being tied to a single resolution as Dave mentioned is another downside to using a device.

  • "Upgrading" from Adobe Acrobat for Windows to Adobe Acrobat for OS X (Mac)

I own Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard but no longer use it because I purchased a Mac. Can I "upgrade" to a Mac version of Adobe Acrobe Acrobat?

No upgrades from Acrobat 7 are available for anyone - they finished long ago, unfortunately. Only Acrobat 9 upwards are eligible.
You would simply need to purchase Acrobat XI (11) Pro for Mac.
(Note if anyone happens to have a recent version of Acrobat Standard and wants to upgrade to Acrobat Pro for Mac, this is called a "crossgrade" and only available by directly talking to Adobe customer service).

You are correct that the Skype for Windows desktop app does not support connected standby. As we announced in the blog post on the topic we are currently working hard to get the new integrated Skype experience for Windows 10 in your hands which should make up for that.Nice. So the removal of Connected standby support is the "more efficient experience" on mobile tablet devices with mobile Internet connection ? Wouldn't be more logical and fair to wait until the "new integrated Skype experience for Windows 10" is ready and well tested prior to cut reasonable access to Skype for existing Windows tablet customers ? Again, do you really want Windows tablet customers ? The Skype download optimized for other tablet platforms is still available, isn't it ?

  • Upgrade Phtoshop Elements 3 for WIndows 7

What are my options now that I have replaced my XP machine by Windows 7?

      1. Try installing PSE3 and run in XP compatibility mode.
    2. If you believe like I do that a new computer benefits from new software then give the PSE10 free trial a spin for 30 days.
    3. Wait for PSE11 expected in Sep/Oct which will come with a full twelve months of Adobe support.

Lets start out with that is an antique system with limited options because it only has PCI slots and no normal video card.  The card you are asking about does have "High Definition 3D Performance & Image Quality to Your PC"  If you are considering getting one, try the EBay market as this is really old hardware and you can get one for near nothing.  For Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Visiontek-Radeon-X1300-Graphics-Card-256MB-128bit-900106-/191175474229
Just make sure the one ordered is the PCI version.
There are other possible choices: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187213

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component won't install normally.
If needs be, the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility (MS Installer "Fixit") may be able to help force through the installation.

  • Quicktime for Windows -- on Vista -- opens a .mov movie once, then won't open the move and Quicktime won't even open itself.  I've installed the latest version, and upgraded it to Plus as well.

I am having trouble opening .mov videos with Quicktime on my PC with Vista.  I installed the latest version of Quicktime for Windows (V.7.7), and upgraded it to Pro.  It will open a .mov file once, then after that it will not open any .mov file and in fact, when I try to open the Quicktime player it will not open itself.  If I switch users to Admin, it all works fine, but when I go back to my regular role (where all of my preferences and programs are there for me to use), the same thing happens.  An .mov file will open once, then never again, and the Quicktime player seems to be disabled.
I've tried different .mov files, so it's not a corrupt file that's the problem.  And, in the past (a couple of Quicktime versions ago, I guess), all of this worked just fine.
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated!

I have the exact same problem. They play on my Mac under Snow Leopard. Transfer to Vista gets a window with black and white and some other noise. No sound either.
