Upgrading OSB 10.2 to 10.3: uninstall required?
Greetings.
We're planning on upgrading OSB 10.2 to 10.3. Boss says the upgrade failed last time he did this because he did uninstall 10.2 first. He backed out of the upgrade at that point.
Any problems if I do not uninstall 10.2 first? What's the feeling here?

You do not need to uninstall to upgrade, it will upgrade the existing installation. Make sure all services are stopped before the upgrade, I do "ps -ef | grep -i ob" to check, kill anything that is left running when you've stopped observiced. In 10.2 you have to kill the apache processes manually, so do that. In 10.3 they get stopped for you.
I also recommend that you reboot the admin server after the upgrade just to make sure everything is loaded clean.

yes, you can deactivate (help>deactivate) and uninstall.
you do/did not even need to have pse 9 installed before installing your ps12 upgrade. if it's not installed you will be prompted for the pse 9 serial number. -

Since upgrading to Mavericks my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro requires administrative password on every launch which seems like an unnecessary step. Does anyone know why this is happening and what can be done to eliminate this?

You might need to remove and reinstall Acrobat. Be sure you are in an admin account when installing. -
I install latest update from my ipad 2, after the upgrade tablet running slowly. Probably the system requirements too high for my device. I think that users with older models should be able to install IOS 6.x.x on their devices or consider buying devices from other manufacturers ...

Sorry for my english, i am from Russia.I have a similar issue. I recently purchased an iPad Mini, and I started off by backing it up from the apps I had on my iPhone. Now, I have a number of apps that never downloaded and that I don't want on the iPad. Some of these are apps that I don't need, while others are the iPhone versions of apps. There are something like 23 apps that I have no use for, but iTunes tries to install every time I connect. I've also tried clicking the 'Will Install' buttons. There's no way to delete these apps from the iPad without first installing them, as far as I can see, and there's no way to NOT install them, in iTunes.
It''s not just annoying, it's causing problems with installation of larger files and movies. Now, every time I sync to the computer, I get a warning that I'm over capacity by 580 MB, and larger apps will not install! Clicking Revert and a bunch of other things doesn't work, either. And I can't just delete some of the apps, because I or my wife use them on our phones! -
What a depressing experience I've had trying to upgrade to Maverick. I have the minimal requirements 10.6.8 Mountaim Lion,.. It is a continuous rerouting from Itunes store to Apple store.

Facing issue in upgrading osb 10.3.1 to osb 11.1.1.6.0

I have upgraded my osb 10.3.1 to osb 11.1.1.6.0
For projects, first I exported the projects & resources from osb 10.3.1 environment and then imported them in my new osb 11.1.1.6.0 environment. Everything is working fine in the new osb 11.1.1.6.0 envionment but I have lost the access of the web services deployed in my weblogic server. I my weblogic administration console I don't find any deployed services here. Do I need to do some extra steps in upgradation if any of my osb project is accessing a web service deployed in the server. os how can I import the web services deployed in my weblogic server. I have only one server admin server which acts as osb server also. I had not created any managed server at the time of configuring osb 10.3.1
Please guide!!!exporting and importing your osb projects to the new environment won't migrate the webservice you were calling from within the Oracle Service Bus.
if these were created in Eclipse too you can just regenerate an ear-file from them or use the build-scripts to deploy them to you new Weblogic Server.
don't mix up 2 things
the osb is only intermediar in here, so you can export/impot the resources from your osb workspace for these.
but if your process call any external webservice, the webservice itself will also need to get redeployed to the new enviroment, and this is something which has nothing to do with your osb projects.
it could be these webservice are also build in Eclipse, but they won't be part of the export/import of OSB.
so check if you have some build.xml script in these webservice projects so you can regenerate the ear archive, or try importing the project in your workspace (if not already done) and rightmouseclick on it > export > ear file
and use this ear file to deploy the webservice again in the Weblogic Console ( see : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13218_01/wlp/docs81/prodOps/deployment.html ) -
i have lost my itunes when installing the new upgrade,it says i have to install msvcr80.dll. i tryed to uninstall everything apple but that didn't work , they won't uninstall. i'm not very computer savy, i only use itunes for my ipod and play some games

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.

Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I have 3.6. It works fine for me. Kaspersky link filter and virtual keyboard are on the toolbar.
I have upgraded twice now, but each time these and other extensions are not available for the version. So I uninstall and go back to 3.6.
As you are having this spate of upgrades, it would be so much better if we could know what extensions are and are not available before we upgrade.
Why not build the upgrades so that extensions work?Same problem here too. Curious to see what could be causing this. It has been happening for me for the last two years (South Park). Not too big a deal but it would be great for the auto download to work properly.

Upgrade issue - MicroSoft error! Afraid to uninstall and lose music!
Okay friends, I went for the upgrade to 7.0 and now I'm getting MicroSoft errors - "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close." I'm about to uninstall and then reinstall an older version of iTunes. Silly question here - but - if I uninstall, will I lose all of my music?
To be on the safe side, go to the folder where your music is stored, copy all of it to a folder outside of the iTunes folders and then uninstall/reinstall to your heart's content

It just keeps "thinking". It won't load anything. I cannot back up my iphone photos because iphoto will never open.

what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you see when iPhoto launches?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

It shouldn't be necessary to reboot the computer to apply an update. If that is needed then that usually means that some (security) software is blocking files.
