Upgrading PSU in a HP Pavilion P6000 series

I want to change my graphic card HD 5570 2GB to a Nvidia GTX560Ti but to do that I need more power and my current PSU only delivers 300 watt. But aren't the HP PSU's different from normall ATX PSU's?
It's 155mm width
145mm depth
90mm height
So can I just put a normall ATX PSU in it? Or do I need a new case? It's not really the depth that is a problem more the width
I want to upgrade to a 600watt so I have enough but maybe 500watt is also ok?

Try using another pc and download superantispyware (free edition) and put on a cd or flash drive and attempt to install it on this pc and run a full systems can.
You may also need to run a virus scan using your antivirus program.
What happens when you try to click my documents or recycle bin? Any errors or windows comes up? Does the pc freeze?
I'm assuming your mouse and keyboard work fine.

A specific graphics card requires a specific level (minimum wattage) of power.

Hi, I just got the Pavilion p6000 on ebay for about 200$ and I would like to change the graphic card and eventually add more ram. So I would like to know if what I plan to do is correct. Hi, The GTX 980 is not going to run on your PC. Check with the graphics card manufacturer for compatibility information.

I have a HP Pavilion P6000 Desktop. Model p6531p. For about 2 weeks now, if I stop using my computer for even 5 minutes,
the processor will turn itself completely off. Is there something that was set incorrectly that I can change myself?? I'm using Windows 7 (if that makes any difference).

The model you have given is just a series number. For better assistance, please provide the full HP model name and/or product number of the computer in question. Please check "Control Panel" > "Power Options" for settings that may affect your computer in the manner you describe.

You have the second best processor an A6-3420M. It would bump you from AMD 6520M to AMD 6620M graphics. It is an APU; the video is built into the processor.
The upgrade of the processor is a major task. I am not sure it will be worth the effort. Gains will not be very large. However, the processor is cheap:

When I run the Windows 8.1 update, there is no internet connection anymore.
I can not really find any driver that it should resolve.

Hello, I've been looking into making my Laptop run smother/play better and wanted to upgrade from my A4 processor (2.5GHz/1.9GHz VISION A4 Technology from AMD with AMD Dual-Core A4-3300M Accelerated Processor) to an A6 or A8 procesor and I was wondering if it could be done. I am now using Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64-bit .the display drivers are not working good. i cant use properly Adobe Photoshop(CC , CS5..etc).

Install the newest Windows 8 (64-bit) driver for your notebook only from the HP web support download section.
uninstall the drivers for both adapters and the Catalyst Control Center by running the softpaq and choosing uninstall all. Once you have done that run the installer again and (select install all) install the Catalyst Control Center and the drivers.
The switchable graphics capability makes your notebook require the drivers from HP to achieve the switchable graphics capability.
