I want execute an upgrade deploy action on one object but I get this error:
An error prevents the Change Management Upgrade script from executing successfully. We strongly advise that this Upgrade is UNDONE and the problem is investigated. Data loss may occur if you accept this Upgrade
    Any idea?
    Thanks,

I review the installation, it was made with a diferent user that database, I get same permission, restart runtimes service and problem was resolved.

  • Failing BPEL,ESB upgrade scripts from 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.4

    Hi All,
I happened to upgrade 10.1.3.1. to 10.1.3.4 and have applied upgrade scripts at
    soa_10134patch\Disk1\install\soa_schema_upgrade\bpel\scripts\upgrade_10131_10134_oracle.sql
I see 'table does not exist ' message for all instructions in the script file.
When trying to creating new domain in BPEL , coming across the error that BPEL schema has not been upgraded.
Kinldy let me know the procedure how to apply the upgrade patches..
I have logged in f:> sqlplus "orabpel\orabpel as sysadmin" and executed the script.
    Database is Oracle XE 10g
    Edited by: user8285104 on May 9, 2009 9:49 AM

you just use sqlplus orabple/orabpel, there is not need for the as sysadmin.
It is fast (seconds) but you should see lots of SQL statements being applied.
This script actually call 2 other scripts which may be an issue when running on windows as if you login to SQLPlus from a command prompt and the directory you are in is c:\ and the scripts are on f:\ then windows has trouble changing drives. This has caught me out many times.
You can look at this file and call the 2 scripts individually.

    Richard,
You'll need to have 1.0.2.2 to be installed on the middle tier before performing the upgrade for your portal 3.0.9 upgrade repository on the database end. So that means, you'll need to wait for the Linux download of iAS 1.0.2.2 to be available before beginning your upgrade of the portal repository, assuming that your middle tier of iAS is also on a Linux box.
iAS 1.0.2.2 does indeed include Portal 3.0.9, of which Portal 3.0.9 components will be installed during the upgrade process along with the upgrade of the middle tier. During the upgrade process, the installer (from my personal experience on NT), will notify you that it is performing an upgrade installation of your middle tier, provided that you specified the middle tier's ORACLE_HOME when executing the oracle installer.
Just be sure to read and follow the 9iAS Migration guide before beginning your upgrade of the middle tier to iAS 1.0.2.2. After upgrading the middle tier to 1.0.2.2, the actual upgrade of the portal repository was extremely simple by comparison.
The upgrade of the portal repository took a few hours (my recommendation is to invoke it off before leaving for the evening), and it will leave a detailed logfile for you to peruse afterwards, if you choose).

    Harry

  • Upgrading instance from compatible 8.1.6 to 9.2.0.7

    Hi,
I have an instance that is running under 9.2.0.7 binaries, but is running in 8.1.6 compatibility mode (COMPATIBLE=8.1.6). How do I upgrade the instance to 9.2.0.7?
I have read that direct upgrade from 9.2.0.7 is only supported from 8.1.7 and on. I saw that I have to upgrade first the instance to 8.1.7 then run upgrade scripts to 9.2.0.7.
Should I download the patch to 8.1.7, grab the scripts only and run the upgrade scripts to 8.1.7, then run the upgrade scripts to 9.2.0.7 contained in the 9.2.0.7 patchset to upgrade the instance?
    Will that work properly?
There must be a better solution!
    Any thoughts?

    select * from v$version reports 9.2.0.7
Does this mean the instance is in 9.2 or the binaries???
    (Even though init.ora shows COMPATIBLE=8.1.6?)
What started this whole ball game is that I was trying to export multiple schemas and it did not work properly. I looked up the catlog version and it says 9.2.0.3. Maybe this means that the upgrade scripts were not run to convert 9.2.0.3 to 9.2.0.7? Could this be the cause of the export failure?
    Errors for export are:
    EXP-00056: ORACLE error 942 encountered
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
    . . exporting table HEM_AVTALER
What is even odder is that when I do 'select comp_id, version FROM dba_registry' only CATALOG and CATPROC shows up (9.2.0.3), and none of the usual JAVA related rows...
    Does this clarify the situation?
What is the next step? Just run the upgrade script?

  • Upgrade script for 2.1.0.9.3?

did anybody try to upgrade a WebDB version
2.1.0.9.3 to Portal 3.0? The upgrade script
for WebDB2.2 to Portal30 fails due to the
version number. I do not know the differences
between WebDB 2.1.x and 2.2. If the changes
have not been too significant, is it possible
to modify the existing upgrade script
    (WebDB2.2 -> Portal3.0) and still run it?
Thanks for any help or hint
    Joerg

For all of those upgrading to Portal 3.0 from WebDB 2.x, you will first need to upgrade your existing WebDB installation to WebDB 2.2 first before doing the WebDB 2.2 to Portal 3.0.x upgrade. It is a requirement that your WebDB environment be at version 2.2 before upgrading to Portal 3.0.x.

  • How to upgrade Tomcat from 5.5 to 6.0 on BusinessObjects XI 3.1 SP5

    Hi,
I have recently installed BOE Enterprise XI 3.1 SP5 on SLES11.
Tomcat 5.5 has been installed as part of the Installation.
    JVM 1.5 was also installed.
Now since Tomcat 5 is in End of Life support, hence it has been marked as a security risk by the scans performed.
I need to upgrade Tomcat from 5.5 to 6.0.
I am looking for relevant documentation as I couldn't find any official guide for it.
Can someone help me out here with the official documentation on tomcat upgrade.
    Regards,
    Puneet

    Dear Puneet,
Here are the steps to upgrade from Tomcatxx to Tomcat yy:
The below steps are for upgrading default 5.5.20 tomcat to a higher
    incremental release of tomcat.
This method is not intended in an upgrade from default 5.5.20 to a major
release version such as tomcat 6 or 7.
    Stop the Tomcat
Run the script ./tomcatshutdown.sh in bobje directory.
    Rename bobje/Tomcat to tomcat_bak.Command: mv bobje/Tomcat
    tomcat_bak
Download tomcat 5.5.xx core tgz file from Apache website to bobje/tomcat and
extract using the command: tar -xvf tgz filename
    Create new folder apache-tomcat-5.5.xx.Command:mkdir apache-tomcat-5.5.xx
Rename folder apache-tomcat-5.5.xx to Tomcat55 using the move command
Go to the deployment directory which is one level above bobje.
Run the script ./wdeploy.sh tomcat55 deployall
    Message:"Build Successful"
Run the script ./tomcatstartup.sh to start the Tomcat.

  • Upgrading APEX from 3.2 to 4.0 images and buttons not displaying correctly

    Database 11.2.0.1
    APEX: 3.2.1
Attemping to upgrade APEX from 3.2 to 4.0. The installation script runs fine and updates the database successfully. I run the .sql to import the images and it ran successfully however when I attempt to access the APEX home page, the images are not loaded and the buttons don't do anything. I did some research through google but did not come to anything that resolved my issue. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks for your time...

If you are using mod_plsql, you need to run @apxldimg.sql script with SYS user file present with Apex installation. Also provide the location of your apex folder as parameter to this script.

  • DB Upgrade+Migrate from 10.1 to 11.2 using IMPDP with network_link param

    Dear all,
I would like to upgrade and migrate my 10.1.0.5 DB on old server to 11.2.0.2 on new server.
    Here is the background info:
    Old server:
OS : Redhat Linux AS 2.1
    DB Version : 10.1.0.5 (32 bit)
    No RAC
    New Server:
    OS : OEL 5.5
    DB Version : 11.2.0.2
    RAC
    ASM
What I have done so far:
    1. Create new clustered 11Gr2 DB on new server.
    2. Pre-create tablespaces on new DB.
    3. Migrate 10.1.0.5 to 11.2.0.2 using IMPDP.
    impdp system/******* DIRECTORY=dump_file_dir NETWORK_LINK=DWH_DBLINK LOGFILE=log_file_dir:DWH_import_20110621.log FULL=Y SERVICE_NAME=dwhdb.xxx.xxx TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=replace cluster=N exclude=statistics
    4. After IMPDP complete, invalid objects and components are found, run utlrp.sql no help
    SQL> select owner, count(*) from dba_objects where status = 'INVALID' group by owner;
    OWNER COUNT(*)
    WKSYS 16

    Oracle Application Express VALID 3.2.1.00.12
    Oracle Enterprise Manager VALID 11.2.0.2.0

    Oracle OLAP API VALID 11.2.0.2.0
Oracle Real Application Clusters VALID 11.2.0.2.0
    19 rows selected.
    5. Check SYS's invalid objects, e.g. DBA_OUTLINE_HINTS, after tracing the reason, find outln.ol$hints is replaced by 10.1.0.5 version. I think it is due to the IMPDP's "TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=replace" parameter.
Others invalid objects like WMSYS.WM$ENV_VARS, also replaced by old version.
    What should I do now?
Do I need to run upgrade script after DB migration using IMPDP?
    Is the migration procedure correct?
    Please advise
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
It looks like you've messed up the Non User (Oracle default user) data and/or metadata i.e sys, system, wksys.
How many non Oracle default user do you have? and how big is the database? If you're using this method I'm assuming the data is not really big.
I personally will not do full export/ import across different version, its better to just export the non default Oracle user schema as you might ended up messed up the sys objects, etc
    What you might do is
    - drop the 11g database and start from beginning again but exclude Oracle default user e.g sys, system, etc
    - or try run catupgrd.sql script (this will drop and recreate the objects), -this may or may not be fixing your invalid components
    Cheers

    I want to upgrade portal from 3.0.6.6.5 to 3.0.8. I'm working on HP-UX 11.0.
I've read on otn, that I need to upgrade also 9iAS from 1.0.2 to 1.0.2.1.
Where can i find this upgrade script and some documentation about it.
    Thanks for your answers.
    Alain.

    Hi!!
I have migrating from ias 1.0.2 to 1.0.2.1 and i want to migrate also Portal from 3.0.7 to 3.0.8 and i don4t know what are the correct steps. I read the migration document and i have minimal installatio tipe (http sever and Portal) and if don4t read bad i only have to backup the panama directory install 9ias in the same oracle home that the previous release and make changes in jserv.properties but and then i don4t know if i have to upgrade portal with the installation gives me configuration assistant or launch the pupgrade.cmd, i launch this and don4t works, i do it in a second machine but i need to do thus in our server.

  • 11g upgrade script gen_inst.sql fails to export all users

I'm trying to upgrade a database from 10g XE to 11g XE; however, the upgrade script gen_inst.sql that's included with the installation media fails to include all of the database users in the sql file it generates. Out of 33 users, only 3 are included in the ws.sql file that is created. I can't seem to find any difference between the users that are included and those that are missed, all have the same roles and default tablespaces, but I'm new to Oracle XE so I might be missing something. Does anyone know why the script might miss certain users?

The homepage says its Application Express 2.1.0.00.39.
If I'm understanding this correctly there should still be more than 3 schema owners, for example when I run the query "select distinct owner from dba_tables" I see the rest of the users that I was expecting.
When I imported the data onto the 11g server (using impdp) I can see in the logs that it's importing the other schemas (e.g. imported "MP_DOC"."TEXT" ... in this case MP_DOC does not show up in the list of workspaces or users after running the install.sql script, but MP_DOUG does, and from what I can see they both should be there).
My apologies if I'm not being clear or understanding this right.

  • Upgrade database from 10.2 to 11.1

    Hello,
we have oracle 10.2 running in AIX 5.3. we wanted to upgrade to 11.1 in the same machine. which option would be better for upgrade and rollback in case of any issues with 11.1.
    1) manual upgrade of oracle from 10.2 to 11.1 with upgrade script(installation script). With this option, what about the data? 10.2 data will be automatically convert/migrate to 11.1 ??
    2) In case of rollback from 11.1 to 10.2, what is the best process?? can it be done like step 1) where data will be automatically coverted to 10.2 when oracle is downgraded to 10.2 ? , OR data export(11.1)/import(10.2) needs to be done manually after downgrading database?

has any one upgraded portals from 3.0.9 to 9.0.4 lately? i have a few questions about this upgrade process; </p>

the oracle guideline describes that there is a certain script (pobredir.sql) that you run in order to see an output file (typically by the name ... <upgrade_tmp_dir>/uppgrep2.out ).
this file lists the old and new urls for this upgrade process. are these url's the ones which appear in the user_source only or they appear anywhere in the portals (like in the portal components - pages, forms, etc).

Is there no way to force it to upgrade to only 4.0? What about putting it in DFU mode, would that help?
