Upgrading scsm 2012 error

I am planning to upgrade my scsm 2010 to 2012 both Management and DW server.
So i have set up the secondary lab environment and do this.
The DW server has been upgraded successfully.
When i try to upgrade SCSM Management server, at the finalizing stage, i get this error as _MPProcessorDeferred.
What could be the reason?

Upgrade SCSM 2012 Eval to Licensed - How?

I am one of the multiple people who have installed SCSM 2012 in eval mode and need to be able to license it if possible.
I see in recent threads on this subject that this may be possible in some cases. I hope it is possible in my case which is that the system was installed as 2012 R2 originally but is now currently expired. My reference that it may be possible is this thread:

This issue might happen if you have a space in the DW Management Group name.

Virtualization solves this problem handily, by allowing you to create a new server to run the new program on the same hardware. it also solves the related problem of moving off unsupported hardware without changing OS or application. VMware is my personal
favorite, but Hyper-V, Xen, and VirtualBox all have similar capabilities.
Compare the cost of work and confidence in success of a upgrade, where any of thousands or millions of uncontrolled settings could cause an issue, to the cost of work and confidence in success of installing a new OS instance and configuring a known state
for the new environment.
In short, upgrades should no longer be a thing. there are just too many ways they can go wrong, and it's far too easy to create a new OS with minimal expense and effort.

SCSM 2012 queries

i have recently upgraded SCSM 2012 from 2010. Just few queries to be clarified...
1. Users are able to access the create request page only when i add the domain\users group in Groups -> Incident catelog -> global operators group. Is this right?
2. On the File attachment part while creating incident, i have done as per the link found in google as under published reqeust offering page and added the additional user prompt for file attachment and saved it. Now only domain admins and administrators
can access this file attachment page. It is not coming for normal users. Is there any specific permission to be given?
3. On the anouncements part, can i able to increase or decrease the fonts?
4. I need an approval process for incidents.. how to make sure certain incident categories are approved through portal?

have you considered applying the latest rollup? There is a critical performance fix in UR2, which does not sound like what you are describing, but on the off chance that you are explaining things differently.
Also consider adding a second management server and connect to this. A long shot, but could rule out an "behind the curtains" performance issue.
Another long shot is to move the SM DB to its own SQL box. Also I am getting alot of Page Life expectancy is low alarms in SCOM, and we suspect some backup jobs to be the culprit. Not that it would explain issues in day-to-day operations.
Service Manager also has a tracing tool (not sure it is documented anywhere than MS internal support channels). you may be able to read something out of it. Post stuff here and we will try an decipher it.
Please use the following procedure to get Service Manager Traces and try to reproduce the same operations
on both consoles.

SCSM 2012 - Self Service Portal installation Error

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to update SCSM 2010 with 2012. So far I have successfully installed Database Server and Warehouse server, and now I am trying to install the self service portal but it is giving me an error saying "Setup has failed because of an unexpected
error. Please review C:\..\SCSMSertupWizard01.log for more details.
Here are some extra information in relation to this upgrade.
I have got 3 separate servers for my SCSM 2010 application. One act as a warehouse database server. second server holds the Service Manger Database and the third one has got Self-service portal on it.
Now as I said earlier, I did not face any issue upgrading the first two servers (warehouse and Database) but the last one is proving very difficult to just even start with.
Here is some interesting thing that is happening while I am trying to install my self service portal.
When I run the SCSM 2012 setup on my web portal server (Server 3) I get a setup screen with following option
and as I said earlier when I click this Upgrade option it starts the "requirements check" and fails just there with an error message.
Now here is the interesting thing, when I run the SCSM 2012 setup on my server 2 ( which has now got Database Server 2012 installed in it) gives me following option screen.
So when I select this option it starts to install Web content server and Sharepoint site server on my Database server. I do not want that. I want to have my web content server on Server 3 which already has SSP 2010 on it. I have also installed Sharepoint
2010 on my third server.
What is the solution here?
Do I have to merge my Database and Web content server? is it some sort of untold requirement of SCSM 2012 upgrade?

How to fix this error?

For anyone else, you may need to reset any failed jobs statusid back to 3 after you run the script from

and after that run your jobs in correct order.
I had to reset the statusid for DWMaintenence and common.load.

Error while creating SCSM 2012 sp1 self-portal on SP2013

Hell to everyone
today dive into SCSM installation and self-service portal setup. the environment i use is as following:
Windows 2008 R2 Datacenter x64 SP1
SQL 2012 BI Edition
Sharepoint server 2013 Enterprise Edition
SCSM 2012 SP1
i have successfuly set up SCSM 2012. everything is workig fine.
but when i go to sel-service portal setup (all components on one server - both Web-Content server and SP WebParts) i face with an error
_CreateSharePointWebSite.F175D191_81C3_4A7D_A05B_6A250575B468
the error is related to Site creation and SP webparts installation.
i tried to setup just Web-Content Server and installation was finished successfully.
Please help me with the issue! very urgently

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you set up Service Manager 2012 SP1 running on SharePoint 2013.
Please check whether you have configured SCSM and SharePoint 2013 correctly. You can check as the following link:

Please make sure you used the same account to instal SharePoint and Service manager.
If this issue still exists, please do as the followings:
Open Central Administration\Monitoring\Review job defintions, select the servers in the farm one-by-one , then click Application Server Administration Service Timer Job, click Disable.
Restart "Sharepoint 2010 Timer " in services.msc on all servers in the farm.
Try to install the SCSM portal.
Click Central Administration\Monitoring\Review job defintions\Application Server Administration Service Timer Job, click Enable.
Restart "Sharepoint 2010 Timer " in services.msc on all servers in the farm

SCSM 2012 UR3 - "The Full adapter threw an exception" error when viewing "Deleted Items" view

Has anyone expereinced the "The Full adapter threw an exception" eror in the SCSM 2012 console?
We get the error in both our dev and production environments when trying to view the "Deleted Items" view in the console (even after using powershell to remove all deleted iterms). As just noted, interestingly enough we can view, delete, and restore
deleted items using the corresponding Powershell commands. It should be noted that neither of our two SCSM 2012 environments has a registered data warehouse server. Below is a screen shot of the error as well as the associated error text and event
log errors.
Any help would be greatly apprecaited!

server. The account I am installing the software from is a domain admin and a local admin on the server. I have even elevated the privileges when launching the executable to no avail.

Error Installing FIM Reporting in FIM 2010 R2 with SP1 - SCSM 2012 [CheckFIMWebSiteorSolutionPackExisting]

I am running into the below issue. I am installing FIM 2010 R2 SP1 Reporting with SCSM 2012 [SCSM successfully installed].
FIM R2 Reporting installation is failing with both Wizard and Command line.

Hi All,
Though we use SCSM 2012, the FIM 2010 Reporting (R2 SP1) installation throws the alert to run
KB2561430 hotfix (when run throght console) and above error (when run through commnad line).This is actually a bug and MS have fixed that in one of its FIM hotfix rollup. I could move out of the above error by applying the FIM hotfix mentioned
in the below link.

We've tried re-installing the SSP and SharePoint and configured different ports however the error did not improve. It does not matter whether you try to access the SSP from a client or the server the result is the same. This problem
only seems to exist when clicking on "Help Articles", searching for a KA, and then clicking the actual KA link.
Has anyone else run into this or might know of a solution?

These type of errors usually indicate that the web services are not bound to the proper protocols. Hopefully this will help you.
Make copies of the web.config files before editing!!!!
Take look at the Custom Bindings in the web.config file for the contenthost virtual directory. Make sure that both DefaultHttpBinding and DefaultHttpsBinding are present. See below.

Also look at the endpoint address mappings to make sure that both are there.

Look at ServiceBehavior Section:
Make sure that HTTPSGetEnabled=true is set.
In the Services Section:
Make sure that endpoint bindingconfiguration=DefaultHttpsBinding is set.
In the Bindings > CustomBinding Section:
Make sure that the Binding Name is DefaultHttpsBinding
Save the files and reset IIS, see what you get now.

SCCM Connector is not working
MY environment details
SCCM 2012 R2
SCSM 2012 R2 without any UR
The connectors were working fine , but suddenly today its status is finished with error
and stuck at 70 %
Got the below in the event viewer
