It says that I don't have 10.4 installed which I do. I have 10.4.11.

Boot with the install disk, select your language, and, when the menu bar pops up, select Utilities->Disk Utility and repair the disk and permissions. When finished and if everything checks out, quit Disk Utility and try again. If that doesn't fix things, reinstall the 10.4.11 COMBO update and try again.

I just got myself a brand spanking new ipod, my husband has an older nano and uses itunes our computer. Itunes did not recognize my new ipod and said i had to upgrade to version 9. but when i try to download the upgrade i get an error message saying ERROR WRITING TO FILE: C:PROGRAM FILES\QUICKTIME\QTSYSTEM\QUICKTIMEH264.RESOURCES\NL.LPROJ\QUICKTIMEH264LOCALIZE DQTR.VERIFY THAT YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THAT DIRECTORY.

Yeah, there's anothe workaround we can try ... it doesn't fix the damaged files/folders, but it convinces the installer to ignore them and create new ones (instead of getting hung up trying to remove and replace the damaged ones).
In My Computer, open your C drive.
Open the "Program files" folder.
Open the "QuickTime" folder.
Open the "QTSystem" folder.
Open the "QuickTimeH264.Resources" folder.
Rename the "nl.lproj" folder nl.lprojOLD.
Now try another install. Does it go through properly this time?

WRK54G firmware upgrade fails: file pattern error.

When I attempt to upgrade the firmware in my WRK54G router, the upgrade fails with this error message:
Upgrade action is not finish!!
Upgrade file pattern error.
The linksys download page says the file size is 1.10 MB.
The size of the file I downloaded (WRK54Gv2_1_00_1) is also 1.10 MB (1,160,036 bytes). So it appears the file was downloaded successfully.
I had no problem upgrading the firmware to version 1.1.

What is the hardware version of your router? Is it version 1, version 1.1 or version 2? Where did you download the firmware of your router? Is it from the US website.
On the US website you have 3 wrk54g, one is version 1, version 1.1 and v2.

Several causes for this problem have been reported. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when it's resolved.
Step 1
Back up all data.
From the menu bar, select

Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

After Mavericks upgrade, Parental Controls shows error

iPhoto needs to be upgraded in order to work with Mavericks. You can do that via Software Update or the App Store.
The iWork apps are free with a new iOS device since 1 SEP 2013. They are free with a new Mac since 1 OCT 2013. They are also free with the upgrade to OS X Mavericks 10.9 if you had the previous version installed when you upgraded.
Upgrading iPhoto does not involve your iPhoto Library. Your photos will still be there. But it never hurts to make a backup first.

This is then followed up with the following msg: HP support assistant not installed successfully. An error occurred during the installation: -3 Then it rolls back the installation and will not install. HP support assistant was working under Vista.

Did you first go to the Control Panel and make sure that the HP Support Assistant software was not listed (uninstalled)?

While generating stack.xml file from solman 7.1 sp 10, we got error in the verification execution as Cannot recognize installed product instance in lmdb.
We referred the note - 1816146 - Correction of installed software information (CISI.
1. We run the report RLMDB_DOWNLOAD_INST_SOFT_INFO and created .xml file.
2. downloaded SUM sp10
While running SUM tools we got the error the phase "SYIDUP_EXTRACT/PROFREAD" as below.

We analyzed the issue. Error is coming the file PROFREAD.LOG as

Hi all,
Please check 4 ETQ399 System-nr = '', GwService = 'sapgw' Client = '000' in the log mentioned.
Why it is not picking up any value for System-nr = (It should get system no. 40 - as my system no is 40)
Please revert, if any body faced this type of issue.
