Upgrading to 2007B
Hi All,
We are using SAP B1 2005B with PL 34. Now we need to update to 2007B. What is the procedure for this. Is it necessary to surrender my old license and get new one for 2007B? How long it will take ?

Reconciliation after upgraded to 2007B
Dear all...
Are there any steps should we do for reconciliation after we upgraded the database to 2007B? Because I noticed that those BP reconciled records are showing when I click on Bank Statement and External Reconciliations -> Reconciliation by choosing respective Business Partner.

2007B is a version where in you have Automatic reconciliation process and you dont need to go for internal reconciliation every time that is why you can see reconciled transanctions related to particular BP
you need to do manual reconciliation only when there is any transanctions other than normal

My clients are currently using SAP B1 2005B, PL34. I would like to upgrade the database to SAP B1 2007 B, but would like to know a few things;
a. Do i need to upgrade the current database first to a higher PL in 2005 B??
b. Which is the highest and the most stable version availabe in 2007B??
c. Where do i get this PL from??

Not Required you upgrade directly 2007B PL00.

Hi, We are planning to upgrade , from 2005b to 2007 b , one of our customer who is currently on 2005B PL 39 .

Answer:
Yes You can Upgrade Directly from SBO 2005B PL:05 to SBO 2007B PL07.
But it is recommeded you first upgrade from SBO 2005B PL:05 to SBO 2007B PL00.
Then upgrade SBO 2007B PL:00 to SBO 2007B PL07.
Case 2:
SAP B1 2005 B PL: 05 to SAP B1 2005 B PL: 43
Answer:
Yes You can Upgrade Directly from SBO 2005B PL:05 to SBO 2005B PL:43. -

I had restarted the licence server but still it same
And my licance server option is also disable ?

Is it necessity of every client that they must upgrade to 2007B.My client is satisfied with 2005B,He does not want to create problem in system due to excisable warehouse.he is using 2005B pl-42.
So is it necessary to upgrade the system ?What will be the problem if we dont upgrade?

As of my knowledge there is no problem if the client is satisfied with 2005B, there are some additional features added in 2007B , for example ( easy reconciliation, and some shortcuts)
Upgradation depends on the client (for advance feautres)

No matching record found G/L Account (OACT) A/P Credit Memo
Hello Experts,
When i post A/P Credit Memo i get message as No matching record found G/L Account (OACT).
Version SAP B1 8.8 PL11
I tried following
check the rounding account In G\L determination.
check the offset account in G\L determination.
everything is properly set.
We did upgrade from 2007B to SAP B1 8.8

Customer Receivables Ageing Report
Hi experts,
Our SAP version is 2005B PL 43.
The Customer receivable Ageing Report has two tabs- By Journal entries tab and By sales Documents tab.
1. We find that all Payments, Credit notes and Invoices appear in the Customer Ageing Report By Journal Postings.
This happens in case where an invoice has been partly paid alongwith few other invoices which have been fully paid which we are unable to knock off, limitation in this version of SAP.As a result the Incoming payment and The Invoices both are seen as open in the Ageing Report - By jounal Postings whereas the Ageing Report by Sales Documents shows the net values.
There are cases where if an incoming payment is cancelled, the cancelled entry is not knocked off,again a limitation in this version,as a result the Ageing Report by Jounal postings shows both the wrong payment received as well as the cancelled entry.This does not appear in the Ageing Report by Sales documents.
2. The customer Statement Report if printed from the Customer Receivable Ageing Report - By Jounal Postings displays the payment entries alongwith the Credit notes and Invoices, which is very difficult for the customer to understand.
Instead can we use the Ageing Report by Sales Documents to print the Customer Statement Report?
3. Lastly The Ageing Report by Journal Postings can match the Ageing Report by Sales documents only if partly paid invoices, advance payments and cancelled payments are knocked off.
We are currently not planning to upgrade to 2007B as we are waiting for the 8.8 version which will be rolled out in end of Dec, as informed to us by the SAP regional office.
Our question is which settings will give us the correct Ageing for a customer?

SAP always recommends to go with the ageing report by journal postings in the old versions. What happens there is that there are 2 separate reconciliation engines at work, one at document level which supports partial reconciliation & one at journal entry level, which only supports full reconciliation. One of the most significant changes in version 2007 & 8.8 is that these reconciliation engines are now unified in that partial reconciliation is also fully supported on journal entry level.

Hi,
We are using 2007 B - PL07
Excise amount should be calculated on Assessable value. I have set the formula and calculation were working fine in 2005B PL - 43, but once we upgraded to 2007B that assessable value column is not editable. The assessable value is not constant at all times. so that i cannot declare it in item master. I have to enter the assessable value in assessable value column in PO. Is there any other initial set up settings in 2007B which differs from 2005 B

In Acess seq maintain table:Plant-Material Combination.
So for this Condition Type Maintain Condition Records in MEK1.
So based on your req,I think this in Inter company stock transfer Purchase order?

Hi all,
We've upgraded B1 2007B patches. I've installed PL06 in server. One of my client PC is showing an error called,
'Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue'.
In addition to the above command, the install shield wizard is asking to uninstall the program through Add Remove program with some set of numbers.
Please help us to solve the issue.

In order to resolve the issue, please remove the corrupted client installation
in the workstation by using the following steps :-
1. Go to Control pannel -->Add/Remove Programe --> Remove the client installation.
2. Go to Start --> Run --> %temp% and delete all the files present in the temporary folder.
3. Download the "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" from the Microsoft site by using the following Link
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
And remove the client installation by using "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility"
After that you can reboot the machine and install the client again.
It will resolve the issue.

Second copy is not Printing in SAP B1 2007 B
Dear Experts
In 2005 b i am able to print two copies of incoming payments in PLD
for eg : one copy for Customer and Second copy for Office
But in 2007 B , i am not able to view and print the second page. none of the error showing while taking the print preview, and i can take only one page. I did the complete set up in pld paper format and also in print preference . still in 2007 b , its not working.
Can any body help me to solve this issue
