Upgrading to 7.3.1 & problems

I have upgraded itunes to 7.3.1 but there are errors on the existing music that was downloaded on the old version. When i try to play a song the following message appears "the song could not be used because the original file could not be found" Please help me here as this seems to be ridiculous as the song was downloaded under the prevoious version.

Last thing to expect from Apple is a release of a new version (7.3) loaded with bugs rather than improvements!! As if we need more troubles in our computers and life!!

Not only did I loss some of my songs when I upgraded to v.7.3, but I can’t also edit almost all of the songs! The texts of the tracks info are dimmed as if locked and can’t be edited!! I tried creating another library, uninstalling v.7.3 and installing 7.1, reinstalling v.7.3, posting the problem to Apple, sending feedback, and searching each and every possible topic to get help with no results!!
What’s going on?! This is the sweat of more than a year of sorting and organizing! Is it gone with the wind?!

Upgrade CS6 Illustrator and Photoshop Problem

Hi hi,
When I tried to upgrade my CS 6 Illustrator and Photoshop through my Adobe Updater, I kept getting the following errors:
Adobe Illustrator CS6 Update (version 16.0.3)
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
Adobe Photoshop 13.0.2

Please advice on how to overcome the error.

I've followed your manual downloading of patch installation, but error U44M2P7 occurs for both manually downloaded patch for Illustrator and Photoshop CS6 for Mac.

Nokia E71 firmware upgrade to 210.21.006 problems

I have just upgraded my firmware to the above version and now have the following problems; 1) the phone freezes 2) I cannot end an active call by pressing the red button but have to go to the menu and choose end active call. 3) the right soft key doesn't work in several apps. 4) the camera is now very slow to save image and yet again the right softkey (back) won't work and you have to press the home key and restart the camera between pictures.5) the phone has reset itself 7 times since the upgrade, during calls, internet or just on standby. Has anyone else upgraded and had the smae problems? the phone was fine before the upgrade and i only did the upgrade as it was supposed to have improved the camera and the audio quality. I have just re-installed the update to see if this amkes a difference. Here's hoping.

It’s now over 24 hours since I emailed Nokia and I haven't received a reply yet, not even an acknowledgement of the email. I think if I haven’t received a positive reply by Friday everyone that has problems should send a blanket email to Nokia (all sections of support) and see if they reply.

Fafter upgrading to mavericks,I had problems with windows 8.1, so deleated partion to start over. Everthing went fine until The fact I was using an upgrade disc instead of a bootable version. Now everthing is loocked up and none of the hotkeys work

No you can not - neither iPhoto nor Aperture has any cross platform capability
You can share photos with the PC using MyPhotoStream or Shared PhotoStreames
You can not share the iPhoto library
And you can not put the iPHoto library on a NAS - it MUST always be on a volume formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and mube on a fast wired local connection - it can not be on a Network
There are Digital Asset Managers that can do what you want - iPhoto and Aperture can not

Make sure your Mac qualifies to run Mountain Lion > Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.
Try disabling anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferencs > Security & Privacy
Apps such as Little Snitch and Net Nanny can prevent apps from downloading from the App store including Mountain Lion.
Third party download managers are not compatible with the App Store.
Keep in mind, for downloading Mountain Lion from the App Store, a high speed (broadband) internet connection is strongly recommended by Apple as noted here > iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If you need to reinstall OS X or repair the the startup disk using Mountain Lion Recovery, that requires broadband access to the internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet connection. OS X is downloaded over the internet form Apple when OS X Recovery is used for reinstallation.

Since i upgrade to Yosemite i have problems with my Mac. Its brand new and i miss Maverics.
Yosemite is slow. The screen goes black and restart suddenly. Reports errors all the time.
How can i solve the problem and goes back to Maverics?

Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
    b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
            because it is three times faster than wireless.
5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.

E72 upgraded to 071.004 bluetooth problems

Hi,
I've upgrade my E72 to version 071.004 and now I can't pair it with my Ford Focus Bluetooth radio. The phone keeps checking for devices and can't find the car bluetooth. This is a major problem for me as use it daily.
Meanwhile I've read there's a new firmware version (81.003) but it doesn't seem to be available here in Portugal. I've already checked for updates via OTA and through the Nokia Suite but it says there's no updates.
Can anyone help me with this problem? Is there any solution? Is it possible to downgrade to the previous firmware version?

There has certainly been some modification to Bluetooth connectivity in v081.003 as much less drama in sending photos to Mac by Bluetooth now!

R/3 4.7 upgrade to ECC 6.0 problem

in the phase INITPUT_PRE of PREPARE came out an error.
says that excuted a sql error
"select VERSION from SVERS" error.
I had set up the authdication of DB user host\sidadm as what it descript on the screen.
i tried to excuted the "select VERSION from SVERS" on SQL quarry.but error,
only if i excuted the sql like select VERSION from erp.SVERS and it success.(erp is the DB name)
what sould i do to change the authdication of DB use can be able to excute select VERSION from SVERS.

Dear jack,
I also faced the same problem while upgrade. Please do the following :-
In SQL Server management console, go to Security--> Logins. You will find one user <SID>adm. In the properties of this user, you make the default database 'erp' instead of master. That's it.
Please try and confirm if it works.

Mavericks upgrade - iMessage/Facetime sign in problem (MBPro 2010)

After upgrading to Mavericks from Mountain Lion, now I can't sign in with iMessage and Facetime:
In Console I'm getting this errors logged:

I've tried many solutions with no positive result. It appears something is wrong with the Keychain. Something is missing or was not correctly upgraded.

Upgrading OS Mountain Lion - Network problems

I've upgraded my iMAC last week-end. Good job
But... big network problem with ADSL connexion via ethernet
I've installed a CPL network at home because WI-FI range is blocked by big walls. Then no problem before (Modem Belkin connected on time machine and all devices (apple tv, Imac,...) linked by CPL).
WHen I've installed Moutain Lion, no more possibilities to connect throughout Ethernet (no DHCP renew).
Then I've reloaded a WIFI connexion. No problem at this time since this morning. I need to disconnect and reconnect the connection 4/5 times and It's no stable ?
Do you have an advice ? I really would like to find the stability of a CPL-Ethernet connection.

If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select

from the menu bar.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message. Clear the text field and scroll back in the log to that time. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Upgrade to iPhoto 6.0 problem - fails to upgrade/import existing photos

I have just upgraded my PowerBook G4 with OS X Tiger 10.4.3 and also purchased and upgraded to iLife 06 immediately after that. I already had a few thousand photos on my mac in my previous version of iPhoto. On upgrading I have tried repeatedly to launch the new iPhoto 6.0 without success. A message pops up saying "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto". When I click "Upgrade" the mac is busy for over 30 minutes each time. At the end of that process it displays the following error message and then quits iPhoto (I have never actually got iPhoto 6.0 to open) - the error message is "The path of the item that failed is “/Users/markhudson/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Albums/[album name]"”. I have probably 25 different albums from my previous iPhoto version which used to work fine!
In trying to solve the problem I have tried deleting the 'problem' album by dragging it to the trash icon, but each time I retry thereafter it is just another album which becomes the problem. I have also made sure on the iPhoto application folder permissions section that the entity I log in to my mac (which is also the administrator) has read and write privileges. I have two other entities set up to use the same mac. It is a standalone mac with no network.
I was really looking forward to all the great new features which I read about on iPhoto 6.0 and am really disappointed that it is not working following what should be a simple upgrade process.
Reading the other postings on this discussion forum there do seem to be numerous problems with this upgrading/importing part of iPhoto 6.0. I was unable to find anything in the other postings/answers to address my specific problem as described above and would be extremely grateful for help and advice with this problem. I just want it to work again.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Do you still have a copy of your V5 iPhoto Library folder? If so you might try the following.
1 - Download and run BatChmod on the V4 iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, substituting your account name for mine. Then try launching iPhoto with the Option key depressed and select that new V5 library folder to open. See if that will get you over the "bad" albums.
Did you have any unique characters in the album names, i.e. umlauts, etc.
One a different note: there's a way to share the photos so that all of the users can have their own library, do their own edits and only have one set of original files. That is to use iPhoto in it's "alias" mode which only imports alias files for each photo into the library and leaves the original files untouched. It provides more flexibility for all users to edit photos, create slideshow and books, etc. independently of the other users. On a single Mac you would put the source files in folders inside the Shared folder. Then each user creates an alias library and imports the photos from Shared folder. Any new photos should be added to a new folder in the Shared folder so that users will know which are new. If that sounds like it might work for you look at these Tutorials. #1 will assist you to recover the keywords from your current library prior to converting over to an alias based library. Good luck.
