Upgrading Trouble

Hello.  I used to use Flash CS3 to make games and little things but I recently "upgraded" to CS5.
I realized that I made an error in a font just now and went to correct it in CS5.  But when I changed it in CS5 my problems became worse.
If you go http://ssjan.com/games/ml-pic.swf you will see that the score is showing completely.  However, if you go to http://ssjan.com/games/ml-pic-new.swf you will see that only a fraction of the score is showing.  I didn't do anything to the score in CS5 so I don't know why this is happening and I need to fix this soon.
I am using AS2

It is difficult to tell what's missing, but it appears to be using a different font.  If you think characters are missing you should be sure to embed the font in the score textfield and include all numeric charcaters when doing so.

Using 3.6.23. When i upgrade, trouble with Lloyds tsb site. One of my accounts has code like>br all over it. Also when i want to access a specific account it logs me out. Cannot upgrade as cannot use internet banking. Any ideas? edit

After I loaded 5.5, then removed it and loaded 3.6 again, I had no problems.
Then my hard drive died and I installed a new one.
Then I downloaded ONLY 3.6 since I already knew I didn't like the changes that 5.5 had made and the kinks hadn't been ironed out. That was in July.
The hesitation problem started recently, toward the end of Sept. I have wireless cable modem that runs 36-54 mbps but in Sept/Oct I was visiting family and distance from their router sometimes meant running at 12 or 24. I thought the hesitation/lagging was due to that. BUT
Since coming home in mid Oct., although nothing about my home connection has changed, I am finding this lagging/not responding/hesitation problem continues AS IF the connection were slow but router/modem/internet connection are all intact.
This is what made me wonder if anyone else is experiencing this/reporting it to Firefox. Apparently not.

  • Upgrade trouble - invalid serial number??

    Hello all,
Maybe I'm just missing something obvious here, but I'm trying to upgrade Logic 7.2 to Logic Studio.
Early on in the install there is a prompt for entering your serial number. I do that, using the serial number on the Logic Studio install documentation. Then I receive another prompt asking for my original serial number, or to insert my xskey. My xskey is always attached to my mac, so I figured I don't have an original serial number, and my xskey is attached, so I select continue. But then I get a prompt that reads "The serial number you have entered is invalid", and the install can't continue.
Is there something I am supposed to enter in that second serial number prompt? Seems like my xskey is not being recognized. But my 7.2 install runs flawlessly.
Now this is the interesting thing, the xskey I have is old (been using Logic for years). It's one of the old Emagic keys (the blue one), not the Apple xskeys. Could this be a problem? Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a work-around?
    Thanks in advance.

That has to be frustrating waiting for that...
My L8 upgrade is ordered, hope I don't go through that.
So do you have the original manual that came with L7 upgrade?
Mine has it on the inside cover, haven't looked at the dongle # to see if they are the same.
As well, is your dongle updated to the latest? That's what I had trouble doing with the 7 upgrade, I had to update the dongle first. Mind you you're using 7.xx so it should already upgraded, but just thinking.

  • DST Upgrade Troubles

We have a Windows 2003 server (fully patched) with IIS6 that
has to be upgraded for DST. The box has a 7.0.0 multi-server
install with 7 instances. Our strategy on the multi-server was to
load CFMX 7.0.1 updater, then CFMX 7.0.2 updater, then JRUN4
Updater 6, then load JDK 1.4.2_13. We had to repoint the JVMs to
the new JRE as they were pointed to the default which was an
earlier version. We did this by first applying the new location to
the admin instance under the JRUN4 Manager and then to the
JVM_x.config files as the JRUN setting tweaks failed to populate
all instances with the correct address. The Cold Fusion upgrade
also repointed us to a different location for CFIDE so we had to
repoint CFIDE to allow our sites to come up.
After doing all this and rebooting the box, we got a clean
DstDates.cfm run with good versions for everything. However, we
lost the Instance Manager. We now get the following error in the
    Instance Manger frame:

We have no clue as to why we lost the Instance Manager. We
suspect it may have to do with our CFIDE problem but that is just
speculation since it is the only area where we had problems. Our
websites come up and we can get the individual Cold Fusion
Administrators for all of our instances. But the Instance Manager
    is dead.
We could sure use some ideas as we have 8 more single server
upgrades to do before Saturday and we are not all that eager to
move forward until we clear this trouble. Did we screw up the
sequencing? Is there something we missed?
    Any help is appreciated!!

  • Ideapad Yoga 11s RAM Upgrade Trouble

I bought the computer about a month ago and it has 4GB.  I bought an 8GB stick to upgrade and I'm having trouble removing the keyboard.  I've watched a few videos regarding how to remove the keyboard and upgrade the RAM and the problem I'm having is that for some reason the corners of the keyboard closest to the monitor aren't popping out.  I've been able to pop the keyboard out in the middle, but near the delete and escape keys there is not wiggle room and I don't want to bend anything there.  Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have any helpful tips?

Thanks, RAM upgrade went offf without a hitch!

  • Upgrade trouble

I am still running Mac OS X 10.5.8 and want to upgrade to Lion/Snow Leopard so I can get Mountain Lion.
But my software updates quit showing that I have any and I don't know how to force it to upgrade to a higher OS.
    I'm on a 2008 Aluminum 13" MacBook.
    Help?!

You have to understand the difference between an Update and an Upgrade.
An Update is a free change within an existing Operating System. Such as the .8 added to 10.5. An Upgrade is a complete new Operating System that must be purchased. Such as 10.5 Leopard to 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Leopard 10.5 code was written to be able to run on both Power PC and Intel. Snow Leopard10.6 has completely rewritten code and only runs on Intel Macs.
The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available at this time from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list. The App Store which is required to download 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion is part of the 10.6.6 update.
If you wait to long and they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

  • Hr2000 firmware upgrade troubles with external triggering mode

    Hello,
Has anyone had any problems with the latest Ocean Optics HR2000+ firmware upgrade while using external triggering mode?
I'm using the NI-provided drivers for HR2000+ which used to work without a problem before the driver update. My program synchronizes 3 spectrometers so that they continuously acquire spectra at 1 second integration time while being triggered by a pulse generator running at 20 Hz. It used to be that the specs would trigger again only once the previous integration completed, but now the spectrometers try to trigger with each trigger and don't complete the 1 second integration. My code has not changed at all between firmware upgrades, and I expected it to work exactly the same after the upgrade. I've reinstalled all programs, inf, and sys files related to the driver as well.
Do I have to wait for a new NI-Driver update that adjust to the new firmware update? Attached is the driver package I'm using.
Any clues as to what I can do about this?
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Imovie 11 upgrade trouble

    I had imovie 08.
    then purchased LION upgrade
then purchased imovie 11 app for 14.99
    But when I open imovie
it still shows imovie 08 not 11
This, after showing in my app store that im11 was successfully installed.
    Please help

You have to delete your old iMovie first. Open Finder, select Applications on the sidebar and delete iMovie. Finally, open App Store and purchase iMovie, so iMovie '11 will be installed.
iMovie stores all your movies on Movies folder, so they won't be affected if you uninstall iMovie. However, I recommend you to make a backup of all your projects on a different folder before opening iMovie '11 for the first time

  • Kernel upgrade troubles

I've been using the 2.6.3 kernel that came with Arch 0.6 and i've decided to upgrade.  I tried using the kernel sources that come with pacman -S kernel26.  But had issues when I ran "make && make modules_install".  So i got the latest sources from kernel.org and set them up.  I've got everything pretty much working, with a couple issues.  First there are these little black dots across the top of the screen.  It's hard to describe, so check out a screenshot here.
Next, when i press control+alt+F1 my consoles look really messed up.  It looks like a scrambled pic of my desktop.
What could I have left out of my Kernel to cause these issues.
    thanks

Well I've played around turning on and off some things when setting up the kernel and I fixed all the display nonsense.  If I can figure out which specific option it was I'll post it here.

  • Windows 7 Upgrade, trouble locating original song files.

I just upgraded to Windows 7, I wiped my computer and put all my music files on an external hard drive. I got Windows 7 on fine and then put all my music files back on my computer. Every time I attempt to play a song I can't because "the original file can't be found" and that little exclamation point comes up. I deleted all my song right out of iTunes and then drug all the files into iTunes and that worked for about a day. Now the error message is back. Any advice?

Is your exHD still plugged in? I think the latest version of ituens for windows have the preferecnes setting to NOT copy files to the itunes folder when adding to the itunes library.

  • Tiger post-upgrade troubles

I finally upgraded my 12" 867 MHz Powerbook from 10.3.9 to 10.4.3, and all is not well.
It seems the Bluetooth daemon (blued) keeps crashing and respawning, and every time it crashes it launches a crashdump and all this is using close to all of my CPU.
If I bring up System Preferences and click on Bluetooth, it just shows an empty window.
I thought I would try upgrading to 10.4.4 to see if this would fix it. However, Software Update did not show the 10.4.4 update, so I downloaded the pkg manually and tried installing it.
But it wouldn't let me, saying "This volume does not meet the requirements for this update."
I then tried downloading and installing the 10.4.4 Combo Updater, with the same results.
I'm not sure where to go from here and would appreciate any advice.
    Thank you.

  • Upgrade trouble: iPhoto 4 - iPhoto 5; now is very slow

I have about 6000 photos in my iPhoto library. When I bought iLife to get iPhoto4, the response was much faster. I just upgraded to an iMac G5 with iLife (iPhoto 5.0.4), and now the startup and shut-down is extremely slow. I've seen other notes on the web that this has to do with combining what used to be .attr files into a single Library.iPhoto file, which can get bloated with images from my model of camera (Minolta). There's a script (exifcleaner.pl) that can be used to strip the offending data from new photos, but I'd like to be able to use my 6,000 pictures without having to lose comments, captions, etc.
Is there a fix for this, or should I go back to iPhoto 4? Can iPhoto 4 run on a G4 under Tiger?
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

    Hi alan,
Do you have the iLife 4 CD/DVD?
Do you have an iPhoto 4 backup library?
If so, then yes, you can go back to 4.
To go back to an older version of iPhoto, you must have a backed up Library from that version. An older version of iPhoto will not open newer versions libraries.
If you have newly imported photos in your 5 library that are not in your backed up library you will need to share/export them now. Export the Original to the desktop. These can be imported once you are back in the older version of iPhoto.
Navigate to /Applications and drag iPhoto to the trash
Navigate to /Library/Receipts and drag all of the iPhoto receipts to the trash
Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences and drag com.apple.iPhoto.plist to the trash
Navigate to ~/Pictures and drag your iPhoto 5 Library folder to the desktop. You can keep it on your hard drive in another folder, or you can rename it and keep it in the Pictures folder, or you can move it to an external for safe keeping or you can burn the entire iPhoto Library folder for safekeeping.
Insert your older iLife CD/DVD and choose to do a custom install.
    Install iPhoto
Run Software Update and update iPhoto to the latest version. that means if you installed 4 there should be some updated version of 4
Put your backed up iPhoto Library in the Pictures folder. If it is named iPhoto Library then it should open when iPhoto is launched.
If you renamed it, then launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and have it open the library you navigate to.
If you don't have a backed up version of the iPhoto Library of the version you want to install then you have a lot more steps to do.
If done this way, all albums, keywords, comments, folders will have to be redone because you are starting from scratch with a new library and importing these photos into the new library.
So the main question is, do you have a version 4 library backup because this is the only way you will still have all the metadata you added such as keywords, comments, etc.
