  • Upgrade Windows 8.1 to Pro Issue

I am trying to upgrade my Windows 8.1 machine to pro. I am doing this via DVD and product key I purchased. When I try to perform the upgrade the only option I get when I am asked, "Choose what you want to keep" is nothing. I would like to keep
    everything and don't understand why I can't.

    Hi,
What DVD did you buy? It seems that you got the full Windows 8.1 pro. If so, we cannot use it to upgrade to Windows 8.1 pro, besides clean installation.
To upgrade Windows 8.1 to pro version, we just need to buy the Windows 8.1 pro pack:
    Windows 8.1 Pro Pack
    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Windows-8.1-Pro-Pack/productID.288392300
Then, we can follow these steps to do the upgrade, and we may not lose anything:
Right click This PC -> Properties -> Get more features with a new edition of Windows -> I already have a product key
Then, type the key you bought, and restart the computer.
    Hope this could be helpful.

See http://m.winsupersite.com/windows-8/windows-81-tip-download-windows-81-iso-windows-8-product-key but note that you will need a

  • Can I load Acrobat Pro 6 onto Windows 7 and upgrade to Acrobat Pro 9?

Can I load Acrobat Pro 6 onto Windows 7 and upgrade to Acrobat Pro 9?  My former PC ran on Windows XP and this new PC runs on Windows 7.  I don't want to shell out another $449 when Acrobat Pro 9 worked fine for me.

You might be able to install Acrobat 6 for this purpose, but you probably won't have to. When you install Acrobat 9 Upgrade it should (if I remember right) ask for the serial number of your "qualifying" product and at that point you put in the Acrobat 6 serial.

  • Upgraded my macbook pro to mountain lion. But during windows installation, it refuses coz of FAT file system. Also is it possible to partition after windows installation???

I just upgraded my macbook pro to mountain lion. Now I want to install windows, but during installation using bootcamp, it says windows can't install on FAT partition. I couldn't change it to NTFS. Also how can I partition my hard disk after windows installation. Coz before windows installation, if I partition hard disk, it won't allow me to install windows saying startup disk can't be partitioned.......help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Now, I wish to upgrade from Mountain Lion 10.8.5 to latest version of OS X Yosemite, but I am in doubt and worry if after upgraded to Yosemite, can I still using my Windows XP where I installed now in Mountain Lion 10.8.5 BootCamp?
Yosemite does not allow a new installation of XP, but an existing XP installation is self-contained and will continue to work. Does your XP installation use a FAT partition? You may be better off using NTFS and then upgrading to Yosemite.
Will the Yosemite upgrade process delete my Windows XP partition or crash my current BootCamp? Can I still have an option to load OS X or Windows XP (press 'alt/option' key during boot up) after upgraded to Yosemite?
If you have made any re-sizing attempts to WXP partition Yosemite will cause problems, otherwise the Yosemite upgrade leaves XP untouched.
Are there any specific reasons to upgrade to Yosemite?

  • Unable to upgrade Windows 8 Pro to 10 Enterprise

I downloaded, extracted, and ran the setup for Windows 10 enterprise. Microsoft's site says no key is required but it will not let me hit next without entering a key. I tried PBHCJ-Q2NYD-2PX34-T2TD6-233PK however it says "We couldn't verify the product
key. Please check your installation media"
Am I not able to upgrade from 8 Pro to 10 Enterprise, or is there a step I am skipping?

That's most likely your issue - Microsoft (usually) only supports upgrading to a newer OS as long as it's the same edition.  That means that upgrading to Win 10 Enterprise would require Win 8 Enterprise. You'll want to download the consumer edition
    - available
    here.
Or - you'll need to upgrade your edition of Windows 8 to Enterprise, then try upgrading to Win 10 Enterprise again.
    Hope that helps!

  • Using Windows Acrobat X as an Upgrade for Acrobat Pro XI for Mac

Would Acrobat Standard X key for PC work as an upgrade for Acrobat Pro XI for Mac?

    Hi ,
Adobe Acrobat 11 STD is not available for MAC i.e you can not do upgrade of adobe acrobat 10 std windows to adobe acrobat 11 std for mac

  • Upgrade to Acrobat Pro XI on Window 8.1 downloads, installs and configures. Then pressing the launch button in the dialog box doesn't launch program.

Upgrade to Acrobat Pro XI on Window 8.1 downloads, installs and configures. Then pressing the launch button in the dialog box doesn't launch program.

Using the start button, Acrobat Pro should appear. But it might not, being Windows 8. Maybe it puts an icon on your desktop, maybe not.
How about checking c:\program files (X86)\adobe\acrobat 11.0\acrobat. If you have this folder, look for Acrobat.exe.

  • How to update a version 6.0 of Acrobat Reader Professional when upgrading windows XP to 8.1 ?

How to update a version 6.0 of Acrobat Reader Professional when upgrading windows XP to 8.1 ?

There is no product called Acrobat Reader Professional. There are two possibilities with different answers.
    1. You have Acrobat Professional (no "Reader"). You will have to buy the latest, Acrobat 11 (XI) Pro. No upgrade pricing is available for version 8.
    2. You have Adobe Reader (no "Professional"). You can download the latest free Adobe Reader http://get.adobe.com/reader

  • Mail Upgrade Window

I recently bought a MacBook Pro and migrated to it from my iMac using my Time Machine backup with Apple's Migration Assistant.
However, I notice every time I open Mail, the Mail Upgrade window is displayed. Can anyone enlightened me to way this is? MacBook Pro is running Mavericks. iMac was running Mountain Lion.
If I click Continue, Mail opens and acts as normal. If I click Quit, Mail remains open in the Dock, but no Viewer Window is displayed and I am unable to open a new one.

Mail seems to have resolved itself. I did rebuild my Inbox (Mailbox > Rebuild), don't think I did anything else?

  • I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 with iTunes installed. Now my iPhone 4S is no longer recognized in iTunes. Connecting with USB sends me directly to the MS app that downloads pictures from the iPhone. Suggest this is a question of missing Apple driver.

I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 8 with iTunes installed. Now my iPhone 4S is no longer recognized in iTunes. Connecting the iPhone with USB sends me directly to the MS app that downloads pictures from the iPhone. Suggest this is a question of missing Apple driver for Windows 8, iTunes and iPhone. MS does not care! This seems to be a general problem with Windows 8 that a number of drivers that used to work with Windows 7 now do not work, ie. iPhone to iTunes, HTC to HTCSync, Samsung to Kies etc. I need this connection to work in order to syncronize with Outlook and my iTunes library.

Maybe it would have been a better idea to confirm that iTunes is supported in Windows 8 before buying a computer with that Operating System.
There will be a new version of iTunes released this month... no one forced you to upgrade prior to a supported version of iTunes being released.

  • Since I upgraded Windows Vista to Windows 7 iTunes only works in Windows 7 "Safe Mode".

Since I upgraded Windows Vista to Windows 7 iTunes only works in Windows 7 "Safe Mode". it will not run in the normal mode. (It ran properly in Vista)  I spent several hours with the Microsoft Technician going through the "1717 suggestions, but to no avail.  On my own, I tried iTunes in Windows 7 "Safe Mode" and was successful!  It ran like a charm.  Unfortunately, I can't run iTunes properly in "Safe Mode"  I have not tried moving one set of the files yet.  But if iTunes works in Safe Mode, do I need to relocate anything or do I need to find what is causing the conflict between Windows 7 and iTunes?

    Which Satellite A205?
Which Windows 7 (64-bit)? What about the other laptop?

Now i want to upgrade my laptop with windows 8.1 operating system. So how can i upgrade my windows 7 64 bit machine to windows 8.1. ? Also i am only able to format C: drive. So is their any way to upgrade windows 7 based laptop to widows 8.1 without affecting other drives?
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
Read through these two useful documents to know about upgrade paths, possibilities, limitations:
    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2234-upgrade-install-windows-8-windows-8-1-a.html
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-from-windows-7-tutorial
Make sure that your HP support website has all the necessary drivers compatible with Windows 8.1 before proceeding with upgrade/clean install of any sort. This determines if HP support Windows 8.1 in your model.
