Upgrated ITunes 9.2; now I have Blue screen

I upgrated my ITunes yesterday. This morning I turn on my computer and have a blue screen:
UNMOUNTABLEBOOTVOLUME
*STOP: 0x000000ED (0x855424D8, 0xC0000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
I have tried to start It using any and all options possible. I am not very computer savvy, but I usually can figure problems out; this one got me, I am about ready to buy another computer. This is my first time ever to ask for help like this. So any assistance would be great!! Thanks in advance for your time if you are able to offer suggestions.

am not a serious computer person so I was not sure if the "Good Lord" was sarcasm or not.
Sarcasm? Odd thing to suspect. Genuine surprise on my part. I can't recall ever being involved in a thread with that particular blue screen code before, in any context.
Are you able to run a chkdsk /r over your boot volume from the Recovery Console?

Hello, I downloaded an ntfs systemfile from tuxera and used it to convert a usb stick so I could put more than the fat32 4gb on, my Imac froze a while after so I turned it off the on and now I have blue vertical lines on boot up and the a white screen with lots of tine blue symbols after, mouse pointer moves but thats about it.
Have used R and cmd to get a menu up but once I choose one of the four options my mouse is rendered useless and I cant get any further, have downloaded, to another usb stick recovery disk assisstant and am trying to use that in conjunction with the lion option on the previously mentioned screen, computer was responding really slowly and has now frozen on the terms of software license agreement (maybe the last hurdle!) can anyone pleeeeeease help!!!!!??????

It's likely that the boot drive is failing, or that there's some other hardware fault. Run the Apple Hardware Test.
Intel-based Macs: Using Apple Hardware Test
Even if the test is negative, you should make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested more thoroughly.

I have an iPhone 4 and plugged it into itunes on my computer for the first time. Only to discover my sister has obviously plugged hers into my itunes account and now I have lost all my photos and numbers. Please help me!!

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it.

The prime suspects for an error 11222 are proxy issues and certificate issues. In the course of your troubleshooting to date have you worked through the 11222-specific advice from the *Specific conditions and alert messages* section of the following document?

  • HT203167 I deleted an audiobook out of my iTunes library. Now I have to pay again to download it. Is this the only way?

I deleted an audiobook out of my iTunes library. Now I have to pay again to download it. Is this the only way?

Have you checked to see if the deleted file is still in the recycle bin. If so you can restore it and add it back into the library. If it is on an iPod or iOS device it could be transferred back to your library. As Steve says audiobooks from the iTunes store are currently supplied on a one time only basis, unlike most other purchases. Hopefully the position with audiobooks will change too over time. In the meantime you could Contact Support and explain the circumstances surrounding your error. They may be able to grant an exception and resupply your missing audiobook.

  • Hi, Hi, Hi  I have the old MacBook Pro. Upgraded to Mountain Lion which completely wrecked the system. So downgraded to Snow Leopard. The updated the combo update. Now stuck on blue screen at start-up. Need help. Greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,
I have the old MacBook Pro. Upgraded to Mountain Lion which completely wrecked the system. So downgraded to Snow Leopard.
Then updated the combo update. Now stuck on blue screen at start-up.
Need help. Greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Downgrade Lion/Mountain Lion to Snow Leopard
      1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer
loads select your language and click on the Continue
button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the
          Utilities menu.
      2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the
mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status
of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then
the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART
info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on
the Partition tab in the DU main window.
      3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions
from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS
Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the
partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on
the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
      4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.

RESET OUT THE IPHONE IS A BLUE SCREEN, NOT REBOOT NOW OUT FLASHING BLUE SCREEN I CAN NOT USE

I have not researched further in solving this issue for a couple of months.  Still using my iPhone 6+ 128GB with around 64GB free space, not dare to load more stuff at the risk of reboot loop.  I am still at iOS 8.1.  Anyone know would 8.1.3 solve the issue?  Thanks a lot.

  • HT4623 I started an update and now I have no screen?

I started an update and walked away, now I have no screen.  Any suggestions?

Youre basically in recovery mode. This could have been caused by an error or data interruption. Youll have to restore the phone.

Try and force iPad into Recovery Mode:

    3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
    5. Release the Home button
    6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
    7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"

  • Updated itunes, ipod and now i have playlist issues.

just upgraded to OS X (5.8). then upgraded ipod to os 4.2. then updated itunes to 10. now i am having interesting issues when i plug the ipod into the computer. of course, everything on the ipod music was wiped out. so i had to sync back all the music. but now i cannot make any playlists when i plug in the ipod. i can only make playlists in itunes on the computer. this is not right. i made several playlists on my ipod before. when i hit the file drop down menu, none of the playlist options are highlighted when i have the ipod selected. what has happened or what do i need to do???

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Latest itunes update 11.0.2 causes blue screen

I have updated the itunes Software to the latest version (11.0.2) twice now.  Shortly after the update I get the blue screen.  The only way to remedy the situation is to restore the OS back to the point prior to the itunes update.  Everything works fine with version 11.0.1.12.  Any insights?

Try just downloading and installing from the Support site - http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1614 - instead of the Mac App Store.
