UPK 11 Installation into EBS - Link to Standard Online Help goes away

Hello,
I have a question where I need your help. We have installed EBS R12.1.3 and UPK 11. As soon as we perform the described steps in the In-Application Support Guide for UPK11, we are getting only the UPK Player back, when we click on "help in EBS". The Standard Helps is gone, and we can't bring it back. This is the case for the Forms and the Web Interface.
We would like to get a choice if we like to continue with
a) UPK Player or
b) EBS Standard Help
Has anyone an idea how to solve it?

Hello Kerry,
thanks for your replay. Let me explain how I have understood the way to work with In-Application UPK Content.
If you enable context sensitive recording in UPK (new profile option in EBS R12.1.3.), your content will be marked and each topic will be flagged to be related to EBS. The idea behind is to limit the topics when a user asks for UPK help to the once which are related to the current form.
This marker is also related to the generation of the /oracle/hemi/oracle_gateway.html file as part of your content, which is located in my "Publishing Content/PlayerPackage/oracle/hemi" folder.
So I took everything under PlayerPackage and have put it into my EBS folder $OA_HTML/PlayerPackage (simple ftp).
I changed the Web Agent profile value which points currently to /OA_HTML/PlayerPackage/oracle/hemi/oracle_gateway.html and it works like described in my first post.
The content we are deploying this way is only related to EBS. In addition we have recorded more Topics related to other 3rd party systems. We haven't decided yet where to put this. Personally I wouldn't put that into the same folder, but would create some links from a to-be-created help entry screen (simple html) to allow users to go to EBS UPK help directly or to any other 3rd party UPK material. In all cases my own links will point to the different Players' package oracle_gateway.html files.
PS: we are currently investigating to which extend the metalink note ID 1446398.1 helps us (the Peoplesoft part)

FIrst try a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If that doesn't help then to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
Try resetting Network Settings
Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings,
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.
Once logged back in and when the pop-up appears, try entering your password again.

I am receiving no problem with these links. The port number is correct. The link recommends IE 5.5. Check your browser. It could have also been a temporary problem. Try again.

Adobe Premier Pro CC - How to create animation bar & text shown 0:31 sec into attached link .. PLEASE HELP!

I'm new to Premier Pro CC but I have managed to figured out the basics.
The only thing I need to know now is how to create or if it is possible to create the bar that appears 0:31 seconds
into the video, from the bottom of the screen with the text that fades in & out.
Please see attached link for reference, note the bar is shown 0:31 seconds into the video.

Can be done either way ( and others as well)
From Photo Shop one would produce the Layer so one could have individual Control of the components. eg Opacity of the black rectangle and fades on the text.
Same could be done with multiple titles created in PPPRO.
Similar layers technique in After Effects composition then brought back into PPRO

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

Please help me! Can you send me an installer for Acrobat 6.0 Standard for Mac??? The Acrobat Customer Service "help" says this is the only way I can get my Acrobat going again. It won't bother YOUR installer to share it with me.....and I must use MY OWN SERIAL NUMBERS to connect with them, so they say there's no way it could hurt you......but it would really help me!
I reinstalled my system software, and my Acrobat got corrupted in some way which will not let it communicate properly with Adobe. I cannot upgrade because this is the only version compatible with my other software. Please help, and send me the installer so I can get working again. I'm grateful for anyone who can help. I'm sorry you distrust me and the person from Acrobat.   He does not
usually work on the Forum, and was trying to help me as Adobe thinks this is my
only solution.   One of the other Acrobat customer service people had
suggested it, and someone had replied that perhaps he could help.   I guess you
misunderstood his posting because he was not trying to say my software had been
"trial" , he was using that as an example.   I bought, own, and have been
using my copy of Acrobat 6.0.4 since I bought it directly from Adobe in
2004........I had something happen with my operating system, and now I need to
reinstall it, but Adobe erases the installers from people's systems after 3
years.   It was the Adobe Customer Service Techie help line that suggested this
"solution".   I have my own serial number etc.......it just won't connect
to Adobe without some teensy missing part of something from the installer
software.   The only "standard" versions I see out there for sale, are for PC,
not Mac.   If you know of something else, I'd be grateful for the info.

11g authentication directly against EBS (bypassing need to log into EBS)

Is it possible to configure EBS authentication that allows users to directly authenticate against the EBS database? I see some documentation/threads on this but it seems to be for setting up a link "within EBS" to use EBS credentials to log into OBIEE. Has anyone successfully configured security to directly autheticate against EBS DB (bypassing the need to log into EBS).
Any input is appreciated.

I would like to inform you that VS 2005 is only compatible with CR XI R2 and CR 2008.

You need to upgrade CRXI to CRXIR2 then try to solve this issue.
To download the CR XI R2 follow the instructions given below:-

How do I (or can I) convert an embedded smart object into a linked smart object

If I start with an embedded Smart Object (S.O)., can I easily convert in into a linked type of S.O.? I have not seen this feature available in the tooling yet. Please advise.

Since an embedded smart object is, well, embedded, there's no way to just convert. You'll have to point a link somewhere.
If you want to keep the smart object as is, open it and "Save As" to a new location, then link to that (Place Linked). Then delete the old.

Issue in Installation of EBS R12 through VNCserver thrgh Putty

I know this may sound quite childish but still i wanna know If we are Installing EBS R12/11i by connecting the Linux box through putty OR by connecting through VNC server .
If we r connecting through putty do we 've to set the Display in this case.
Or if If we r connecting through VNC Server do we 've to set the Display variable.
My query is what is the Differences between using VNC server & putty in Installation of EBS r12/11i.
Today my Boss pointed out that i should install vnc server on windows for installing EBS rather than using putty as it required setting of Display variable.
which i couldn't quite understand. Hence the query !!

Really Appreciate if u could explain it a little bit more.To run Rapid Install you need to have the DISPLAY set properly to see RapidWiz, and this would work with VNC (not with putty). If you can set the DISPLAY is putty (issue xclock to verify) then you can use it (which I believe is not possible).

I use to drag and drop an web address into a link toolbar, can't seem to figure out how to do this...?

I just upgraded to Windows 7 and with it I got the latest Firefox. There is nothing like learning 2 things at one time. On my old XP and 3.? all I have to do was drag and drop a web address into a link toolbar. Saving all my frequent visited or just sights I want quick access to, to a toolbar quick button. I have been playing with this for days and decided to try this Forum. I did find the Bookmark toolbar, but cant seem to figure out what is if for or if you can drop into it. When I right click it and Customize, it shows me add on buttons, but nothing to do with web addresses or alike...
Bottom line; I want to be able to drag and drop a web address into a toolbar for recall latter and be able to edit the address with a right click at a latter date in necessary...

You can drag and drop the favicon also known as the [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Site+Identity+Button site identity button], at the left hand edge of the location bar onto a toolbar to bookmark the site.

Trying to get into a link thay you have to set the mouse on it (with the arrow) and it doesnt allow it,

In every site that I go and try go into a link for example trying to buy someting when I go to the part of setting the day o amount (for example) there is an arrow that you have to use to set the thing but is not working is not allowing to set them, also I haver saved passwords and stuff like that in my bookmarks and when I go to the part to enter the login usually you put the first letter or number (if you have it saved) and it appers but right now is not working either, and is firefox, because all of these is ok in internet explorer. Cannot copy/paste files from clone of Snow Leopard installation into clean Lion installation.

I cloned my hard drive onto an external USB drive using disk utility and then erased the internal drive to install Lion onto. 70% of anything I copied from the clone of my 10.6 installation into its new home in Lion just disappeared as soon as I copied it. For example, I copied my old documents folder into its corresponding place in Lion, and the size reduced from ~3.5GB to ~1GB. Does anyone know why this is?
For obvious reasons, I restored my clone to my internal hard drive using disk utility so I could use 10.6 again, so I can't reasonably do any real troubleshooting until I find time to commit to experimentation. Is this a known bug that will be worked out in 10.7.1?

The original disc that came with the Mac won't work with Mountain Lion v10.8 installed. Disk repairs are done via the internet using OS X Recovery.
Since the Mac won't boot, restart while holding down the Command + R keys so you can access the built in utilities to repair the startup disk > OS X Recovery

Read Hashmap into a Linked List

Hi,
I have a hashmap containing objects; I want to put those objects into a linked list.
Where do I start? I haven't the foggiest idea....
I suppose I have to iterate through the hashmap and extract the objects and then put them into a linked list.
Does anyone know of a good tutorial for that kind of thing?

Insert into ebs dates?

Hi all,
I have 3 tables with dates and 3 forms for insert new dates into tables and update
Theres 1000 records on each tables.
Is there any way to I import this tables with dates and forms with insert/update into
EBS 12? (I have dump file too)

All 3 tables was from system spaces from oracle 10g
and all 3 forms are from forms developer generated
with reference at 3 tables
