UPL Activated in Managed Systems - Now What?

Hi All,
First post for me in the UPL SCN. I believe I have correctly activated UPL data collection in our managed ABAP Systems. (Followed this link to do so: https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/~sapidb1000358700000427102012E)
I can run the sa38 report /SDF/UPL_CONTROL and it shows that is in on and working. Also report /SDF/SHOW_UPL will show me a bunch of returned data when I click execute. (these are being ran on the abap systems themselves).
My question is, now what? Where do I go inside solution manager to begin seeing if this data is being stored in the SolMan BW? Any insight, work center locations, reports or anything else will help.

Hi Zach,
activation of UPL in managed system directly is only a workaround and a quick view.
You sahll do this activation from a Solution Manager system. Only then the UPL data will be
transfered to Solman.
Here the UPL data will be
- saved in BW cubes
- aggregated to weeks , months and years
- queries and APIs available to extract data
UPL data is used in
- Custom Code management usage reporting to analyse last usage of given custom codes
- used in SEA tool to generate semi dynamic TBOMs
- used in System recommendation to validate the impact of notes on exdecuted code
- Reverse Documentation to analyse business processes
- and many more
What you have done is the initial technical validation and activation.
But NOW you have prepared the baseline for holistic transparency about usage.
The journey of analysis and data mining starts now.
So it is not the goald to activate UPL. It is more to think about whta is your task and is UPL able to help you.

Scammer given access to system, now what?

My friend has OS X Mavericks installed and he was prompted to call a technical support number, because his computer had been infected. Thinking Macs don't get viruses, he was sure this message was from Apple. He called, followed the person's directions and gave him access to his computer which led to access to his network and they also did something to a PC connected to the network. (The prompt would not go away - it installs in the Safari folder and has to be thrown away - but this is the first I've heard of someone calling these folks)
What steps should I take to remove whatever they did? He is ok with a fresh install, but I still need to get his personal files off of the Mac. Not sure if spam files, viruses, or something of that sort will follow the files.
Side note: I had a good run with the Mac platform (almost 12 years now) without a virus/spam issue, but just this year my family/friends/coworkers have been hit with a ton of these things.

These scam pages are all over the place. I've never seen one myself, so I suppose it depends on what kind of web sites a person frequents.
When you see any of these sites that lock Safari to that page, you are being 100% lied to. You don't have an infection of any kind. They hope you'll call the number, install the remote access software they tell you to get, then they randomly go through your drive and point out normal files as "proof" you're infected with various imaginary stuff. All for the low, low price of anywhere from $200 to $900 to fix nothing.
The bad news is now the his Mac and PC may be compromised by letting them in. There's no way of knowing what other software they had you install. There could now be a keylogger on your system, which they can use to pick up your bank ID, password and PIN, along with whatever else they may want to monitor you for.
At this point, you have to consider your Mac compromised.
You really have no choice but to backup your important data and erase the drive. Reinstall OS X and your third party apps, then manually restore your personal data. DO NOT restore a backup. Particularly from Time Machine as it may have already backed up what they had you install, and you would simply succeed in getting it back on the drive.
Since they also did who-knows-what to the PC, you'll have to erase and rebuild that one from scratch, too.
Then, with a cleanly reinstalled drive, change all of your online passwords immediately. Starting with your bank and credit card accounts.

My first designed system - now what?

I finally got around to building my own system and now want to know how to maximize my performance.
My FSB is 204MHz and my DDR is 400(Auto).
Core Center is not reporting my Processor Temps???
Should I set the bios to PERFORMANCE MODE?
Should I boost my DDR voltage and the AGP voltage?

First uninstall corecenter. Use something else. You will not achieve true happiness until you have done so. Second I'm assuming core center was reporting 204mhz fsb. If so, go into bios and increase it from 200 to 201 (this helps on the 875, it won't makes things worse for you anyhow) Set your AGP aperture to half the size of your system memory. Make sure 32bit transfers are enabled for all hard disks. It you are plagued by instability try raising your RAM voltage to 2.7. Don't mess with agp voltage unless you are going to oc your geforce.

Already activated iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.2 asks for activation - Unable to activate. now what?

So, my phone has not been used in 14 days now, cus my charger stopped working wich it shouldnt, I guess?

How come my device suddenly not work, while being untouched, out of power and completely unable to turn it on?

Active Ingredient management error in valuation

Dear gurus,
We have a business process involving active ingredient management system, the process is as follows.
1, PO creation
2, GR against PO with automatic batch creation in Migo (with out entering characteristics)
3, Material After tested the characteristic values for the batch are updated in MSC2N.
4, MIRO for PO
Now my problem is lets say i have maintained in Proportion/Product Unit tab "Plan value " for a characteristic as 95.
We have batch wise split valuation and payment processed according to this batch. In PO we have maintained a OPU same as that of the characteristic.
Since we are not maintaining any characteristic value in GRN the Qty in PO price unit in MIgo doc is updated according to the Plan value in material master which makes MIRO value to calculate wrongly.
Please advice to solve this issue

The problem is if i enter the Characteristic value in migo then all the calculations are coming correct. But our business process requires to enter the characteristic value in MSC2N because of which calculations are incorrect.

Flash Project Management System

I was wondering if there has been a UI built in flash for a
project management system. What Im looking for is an app where the
managers would drag and drop their resources into a timeline for
projects and they would be able to stretch resources along the
timeline for each project. It would basically look like a Gant
Chart, but with user interactivity. Just basically asking if this
has already been done, is there an example of the work I could see,
would this be a fairly easy project, or if am I wasting my time
here.

I'm not looking for a full blown project management system; more like an activity (to-do) list in a subject lookup hierarchy, possible with email reminders of what's coming due. (something like expand-collapse subject areas with text, date, name and status fields). I've done something similar in Visual Basic wtih an Access DB holding the information. It doesn't look so great but does the job.

The device has an application which is runs it. So this application runs the battery management system. What i need to do is to develop a LABVIEW substitute for this application, so that I will be able to communicate with the BMS using LABVIEW, instead of the application provided with it.

Software Prerequisites in managed system configuration are not fulfilled

I'm facing a problem when I configure a PI system in managed system configuration. I register the Netweaver PI AS ABAP technical system to solman's SLD directly(run RZ70), and collect the information of the Netweaver PI AS JAVA from the PI's sld. I don't know whether it matters.
The following error occurs when I Check Prerequisites:
J2EE-FRMW does not fulfill the prerequisites (installed: 7.11 SP0, expected: 7.11 SP001)
But I don't know how to find J2EE-FRMW 7.11 SP001 and do some update, please give me some advice.

Steps to follow
- Rename the J2EEFRMW01_5-20002637.zip file to J2EEFRMW01_5-20002637.SCA.
-telnet localhost 5$$08
-logon with the user administrator
- deploy /software/j2eefrmwpatch/J2EEFRMW01_5-20002637.SCA version_rule=all
- Once it is done , then trigger the data to the SLD
- Checked the software component in SLD
- Resync the LMDB with SLD
- Then performed the activity of manage system Configuration.

Managed System Configuration step Assign Diagnostics Agent

We've newly instaled solution manager system 7.0 Ehp1 via latest sp stack 25 on aix 6.1, we've completed initial and basic configuraiton successfully via solman_setup, and instaled wily introscpe on same host with solution manager system,

Accessing content in WebLogic Content Management system via link in JSP

We are running WebLogic 8.1 (sp4) and are learning about the BEA Content Management System and what we can do with it. We have a user request to pull out the content based on certain indexes and display the titles as links in a JSP. The links in the JSP would actually allow the user to pull down the document.
 
Is this possible?
Could someone send an example on how to do this?

Hi Robert,
Take a look at the DownloadBinaryServlet. You can use this to download a CM Node's binary property value.
If you are displaying images, the ShowPropertyServlet is probably a better match. (build up an image href URL to the ShowProperty servlet)

Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.
