Upload a podcast

It is several years ago since I last made a podcast & I have a hard time publishing a new one on iTunes.
I started in Garageband, made a 'radioshow' and then filled in the info in Podcast track (Title, artist etc.) I included markings at the Podcast-track (chapter title, URL title) and used a photo as illustration. Then I saved it all and shared the podcast to iWeb.
In iWeb I filled in the maker of the podcast series, an e-mailaddress and all other wanted information. And I said yes to publishing in iTunes.

Strangely enough, when you click on the picture, a QuickTime logo appears and nothing happens. (working on a Mac I most definitely heve QuickTime installed)
The only way to listen to the show is by clicking on the RSS-link, then on the photo and finally you reach the audio... That is not how it should be, I think.
Then I'd like to publish the podcast on iTunes.
The review states there is no illustration, no info what so ever etcetera. Sorry?
I have to edit the RSS feed. (How?)
So I can continue to publish, but my podcast will be very anonymous.
I was under the impression I did all that I had to do...
But I must be wrong.
Can anyone please help?

Hello guys,
First of all, I not very tech savvy so please bare with me.
I've been trying to upload my podcast to iTunes but I get this error:
Podcast cover art must be at least 1400 X 1400 pixel JPG or PNG, in RGB color space, and hosted on a server that allows HTTP head requests.
My images are 1400 x 1400 in JPG, but still, I can't upload them.
My podcast feed URL is: http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:23141041/sounds.rss
I'd appreciate any help I can get, since I have a deadline to upload it.

Go with a better podcast host. One that is 100% iTunes compliant like Libsyn.

Exactly the same. The only difference lies in the code within the 'enclosure' tag which needs to match the file type, and most podcast creation programs and service will handle that for you. However you need to be aware that you are limited to .m4v, .mov or .mp4 files (not Windows Media, RealMedia or Flash).

I have uploaded a podcast file to my website according to the instructions in the help file. But the media player does not show. The text box or image i place in the place holder shows but not the controls to play it. Any suggestions?

I'm a wordpress guy myself but just save your podcast as a mp3 file and upload it to typepad or other server. Either link to is or embed it in a page or if typepad has a player plug-in use that.

This week's is #14; last week's is #1. Any ideas how to correct this? The odd thing is that when you try to subscribe to the podcasts, they are listed in the proper order.

we'd like to upload a podcast on itunes. we have an mp3-file and within the upload process itunes is asking for a "url" and we have no idea which information we have to put in here ... :/
i suppose that we have to upload the mp3-file first to a server, but which one? our one webhosting server or is there a free upload possibility?
well, how do we have to do this?

When trying to upload my podcast, I keep getting the error message, "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later." I have verified that my artwork meets specifications.

My artwork meets the specifications though I have gotten error messages stating that 300x300, 600x600, and 1400x1400 are the proper format. I have tried all of these. I've only gotten the artwork error message a couple of times. The most common error message I receive is, as stated above, "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later." I have tried uploading the podcast from a different computer and on an different network. Have any of you had this same issue, been able to work through it?

Why Can I not upload my podcast? error on line 36:?

I keep trying to upload my podcast on itunes but it is not letting me. I have tried to use my sites RSS feed and it keeps giving me this error:
error parsing feed: invalid XML: error on line 36: The processing instructing target matching “[xX] [mM] [IL]” is not allowed
I am using a wordpress site, I have only one podcast uploaded on the site thus far. Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated.

If you look at the FeedValidator report, as it has line numbers I can give you notes:

Line 34 - the closing 'channel' tag should not be there, it should appear only at the end of the feed (where it does)
Line 35 - the 'rss' closing tag should not be there, again it appears only at the top of the feed.
Lines 36-47 should not be there, they belong only at the top of the feed, where they show correctly
Lines 49-64 shouldn't be there either, in effect they duplicate what is already above in the feed.
I've no idea how you've managed to get it into this state; it's competely unviable. It looks as if you've got the code of a feed with no episodes, followed by the code of a feed with them. Wordpress ought to be able to construct the feed properly; you will have to go into it to sort this out and I'm afraid I can't advise on specifics of how to do this. To be brutally honest you would probably be best off scrapping the whole thing and starting again from scratch, but the feed may be OK from line 36 onwards so if you can find away to delete 1-25 you might be OK.
(You can ignore the 'rawvoice' error flagged by Feedvalidator.)

Thank you for your response! I actually just uninstalled itunes and anything Apple related in my computer and just reinstalled it. I have the most up-to-date version since I just reinstalled it. It actually isn't even letting me do anything in the program it is crashing the second I open it.
When I said in my previous post that I was uploading podcasts, I was just attempting to upload the new ones onto my computer. I hadn't even gotten to the point where I could sync it.

I am attepting to upload an rss podcast but I am getting timeouts. Does anyone know how to correct this?

It depends on whether your server is failing to respond, or whether the problem lies with the iTunes Store's submission process. Try subscribing manually to your feed from the 'Advanced' menu and see how it behaves: if it fails to load there, or is very slow to do so, then you should look at your server. If it's OK, then the problem may lie with the Store and all you can really do is wait for a bit then try again.

Error in uploading xml podcast listing

Using ITunes to upload my xml feed to Itunes so we can get listed.
I get this error:
Error parsing feed Invalid XML Error on Line 65: The Element type "item" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "</item>
Now I looked at my xml feed - it looks fine.

Okay, I finally was able to publish my podcast with itunes and while waiting for it to be processed, I got an e-mail from itunes misuse department telling me there is an error with the rss feed. They did not tell me what kind of error or where to look. How can I find out what they are talking about. I sent them an email, but no response at this time. Please advise, I thought I was ready to start my show, now itunes has gotten me back to square one, with no way to move forward.

The Store checks only the latest episode of your feed when you submit your podcast. The media file URL for your latest episode, Day 21, is

and there is no file at this address. This is because you've mistyped it: the actual URL is
