I exported a video I edited in Premiere Pro which is 1 hour 40 mins long. It has some After Effects graphics, but they're imported as .movs. It plays fine for the first 1/2 hour, then after that it plays the appropriate sound while the picture stays the same. I tried restarting my computer, it still glitches. It's edited from two movs shot from the same camera. And it plays the last 10 minutes fine. I guess I should tell you that the source files I have (the movs) are 'corrupt,' I can't save them onto my external. I drag and drop them and a dialogue box says "unexpected error code 0" or something. Please let me know what info I should give you. Have a 5 min clip and it takes 8 days to render!!! Any help???
I have a Mac Pro, 2 x 3GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon with 11GB of RAM. I've noticed since I upgraded to Final Cut Pro 7 render times have seemed to take longer and longer. I've tolerated it up to this moment. I have a 5 min clip that will supposedly take "8 days" to render. I tried to wait it out to see whether it would speed up but no luck. Is this strictly the processors fault, I just don't have enough processing speed? Or is there something else going on?
11GB of RAM? that's a very odd number. FCP likes nice even numbers. RAM in pairs.
Now...what type of footage are you working with? What kind of effects have you added to these? Do you have any stills in the project that are between 2000pixels and 4000pixels (those take a while to render)? What are your sequence settings?

imovie says it uploaded fine, and if I open it in imovie it says it was published on youtube - however it still hasn't shown up in myvideo, some 10 hours later? -
I record 1080p footage at 60fps but adobe makes it 720p (because 1080p zoom in the footage for some reason) and then 29.97 fps because it doesn't go higher than 30.

I do not understand why the following should be happening as well as the description that you give for the "because" parts.

The project's automatic handling of setting the project preset can be flawed at time. So, let us rule this factor in or out by you setting the project preset manually.

Open a new project and take Premiere Elements 11 to its Expert workspace.
Then File Menu/Project/New and Change Settings.
You say that your footage is 1080p60. Is that correct? Assuming it is, then
In Change Settings, change the project preset to
NTSC
AVCHD
AVCHD 1080p60
OK out of there.
When you do, you will be facing the New Project dialog. There make sure that you have a check mark next
to "Forced Selected Project Setting on This Project". OK of there.
When you are back in the Expert workspace, use Add Media/Files and Folders/Project Assets to import your
1080p60 file into the project. Drag the file to the Timeline. How does it present in the Edit area monitor?
At the Timeline level, is there no colored line over its content or an orange line over its content?
Part 2.
Right click the thumbnail for the file in Project Assets, and select Properties. What does Properties show for the frame size?
Right click the thumbnail for the file in Project Assets, and select Interpret Footage. In the Frame Rate section of Interpret Footage dialog,
what is given as the file's frame rate. In the Pixel Aspect Ratio section of Interpret Footage dialog, what is given as the file's Pixel
Aspect Ratio?

Mini Case and motherboard for Mini Server
hey guys
I have an old gaming computer with decent Ram and CPU with a large motherboard and big case
I want to salvage it and condense it down to a mini server
I want to put in it my i5-3570k (1155 socket) CPU
12GB ram
And my 2 x 1TB 3.5 HDD's and 1 SSD
I have a DVD burner as well, but not sure if i need that but it could come in handy
Can anyone suggest any specific brands of these cases and mini motherboards to suit that socket?
I just want this for learning purposes and install some VM's to play around with at home

Case is going to depend on the MB standard and features you want. I recommend getting one that's a little on the bigger side if you're air cooling or consider an AIO liquid cooling like the Corsair Hx series. It'll help keep you temperatures under control and keep the noise down. Even then, go for a case on the bigger side since you're probably going to want to run 24/7.

Uploading a video to Amazon Author Central?
I have a three-and-a-half minute video that I just uploaded to YouTube. It's about the content of a book I wrote and sell on Amazon. Amazon.com has a page called Amazon Author Central in which an author can upload a video. Here are the instructions:
We're unable to embed videos hosted on YouTube directly to Amazon.com Detail pages or Author Pages.
However, if you're the original source of uploading the video you can upload the video through your Author Central Account and it will appear on your Author Page, as long as the content stays within the Amazon.com Content Guidelines.
Adding Videos
You can add up to eight videos and choose the order in which they appear on the Amazon.com Author Page.
Select videos that meet the following guidelines:
In one of the following formats: avi, wmv, flv, mov, or mpg.
No more than 10 minutes in length.
Smaller than 500 MB.
On the Author Central Profile tab, click add video.
Click Browse and select your video.
Click the box to confirm that you own or have cleared all rights to the video you are adding, and then click Upload video.
I would like to add my video that is now on YouTube to my Author Central page. The instructions above do not give me enough information on how to this. Can anyone on the forum help me out.
One more thing - How do I know which format my video is in. I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 11 as the eding program. Should I include the URL of my video on YouTube?Tommyvincent
If all you have is what is displayed at YouTube and it is video that you uploaded there, then you can get a copy of that to upload to Amazon at the Amazon web site.
Here is how I found this to work.
Go to YouTube and your ID at the top right of the page.
Click on the triangle to the right of the ID to get a list of choices. Select Video Manager.
In the page that opens, find your video that you uploaded. Note that there is "Edit" below the thumbnail for the video. And further note, that there is a triangle to the right of the word "Edit". Click on the triangle to get a list of choices.
Select the one for "Download MP4".
Depending on Amazon's video requirements, you should be able to upload the MP4 from your computer hard drive (where you just saved it) to Amazon.

What is the best site or way to share a video that is 13 min. long?
What is the best site or way to share a video that is 13 min. long? I am just starting to use iMovie and wanting to send video to family out of town.
Get a "You Send It" account. Upload it an send them your family the link. They can download it and play it on their computer.
Or, put it up on YouTube as a private video and send them the link.

Ipod touch 4 i can no longer watch movies, transferred to the ipod, on videos app it simply says loading and then stops. On my ipad mini with older ios it still works. So how can I fix this I have tried converting videos into different formats but it will not work.
Is IOS 8 really appropriate with Ipod Touch 4, if the older Ipods do not have the capability then why are we prompted to install new operating systems.

I can upload photos and smaller size videos but when a video is 24 minutes long for instance, it doesn't upload at all from my iPhone to the PC. How do I upload these videos that are longer in length?
Are you using any software to import videos? Did you tried Picasa or you just open your iPhone from My Computer?

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running on?
Be that as it may, you cannot upload your Premiere Elements Timeline content in excess of 15 minutes to YouTube
from within the Premiere Elements sharing's /Online/YouTube. Max. duration is 15 minutes.
For Timeline in excess of 15 minutes, export your Timeline content to a file saved to the computer hard drive and then
upload the file to YouTube at the YouTube web site.
With more details from you, I can offer you some export details for that file saved to hard drive for this purpose.

Just edited 20 film in FCPx all about 6 mins long all on 1 x 250gb flash drive
Now i have another 10 to do but have no room on that drive.
So i have been using my new 2tb drive to do the next 10 films with the footage on that drive, but i need elements from the first 20 films ie; graphics, common film elements etc to be added to the new 10 films.
So I have copied all the footage, events and project folders from the 20 edited films over to my 2tb drive in a separate folder - ejected the 250gb drive (as i only have 2 thunderbolt slots and one is used for a 27 inch monitor on my macbook pro)
.......my question is how do i load all of the 20 films into my project library so i can see all of the 30 films at once so i can copy and paste form one film to another - is this possible? and withlout messing up lol// any reason, why you color your post to 'invisible' low contrasted colors?? //

by concept, there's Events and there's Projects.
Events and Projects can be internal or on any ext. drive.
You can use any Event in any Project.
… so, why is the 'location' of your files on any relevance for your Projects ??
Or, do you want to re-import done-Projects as 'Events'? Export,Import, done… (??)

I made a video of our summer vacation on imovie. It's over an hour long. When I try to share it, the audio syncs incorrectly at about the 15 minute mark and is off for the rest of the movie. Is there a way to fix this? I think I have imovie 09 with all the availbable updates.
If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...
