Upload all my photos to N97

I'm not having any luck copying all my old N80, N95 photos to my N97 and having the show up on the phone. They were all saved on my PC and MAC, now that it has a bunch of memory I want to keep them on the phone and not delete them.
How can I copy my old photos to my N97 and have them show up in the PHOTOS applicaiton?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

Copy them to the IMAGES folder. Then open the photos application and wait for them to be found. Depending on the number of pictures it could take several minutes for the phone to find and create thumbnails for a large number of pictures.
Also try to put less than 1000 pictures per folder. So create subfolders in Images,
In general these devices are not meant to be carrying large quantities of photos. The software to manage the photos (Photos) is not very clever sometimes when you have large numbers of pictures. So I wouldn't recommend it. But try and share your results.
I would upload the pictures to a service and then use the N97 to access the service (like Flickr, Picassa, OVI Photos, Photobucket, etc.)

I have Photoshop Elements 10.  How do I upload all my photos and albums to Adobe Revel?

Elements 10 does not have a direct interface with Revel. You can upload from your computer to revel via adoberevel.com, via the revel app if you use Win8 or Mac, or via an upgrade to Elements 11 or 12. (Elements 11 has upload/download ability, Elements 12 has mobile albums that stay in sync)

  • TS4403 I uploaded all my photos to icloud but why is the folder empty on other computers?

I am new to iCloud.  I added my photos to my iCloud from my laptop but when I added iCloud to my desktop there was nothing in the photo stream.  how do I find te photos and use them from my PC?

iCloud is not a photo storage service, so you cannot upload "all" your photos.
iCloud's Photostream feature is a temporary storage service which is for wirelessly transferring photos taken on one iOS device to other iOS devices and back to your computer for permanent storage.
Photostream only stores a maximum of 1000 photos for a maximum of 30 days. This is to give you enough time to download the photos for storing permanently.

  • How can I check whether I have uploaded all my photos?

I have uploaded my photos in several sessions. How can I ensure easily that all photos including those in sub-directories of my main photo folder have been uploaded? i use revel on the Mac.
    iandunbar

One easy way: reset after importing (which can be done from library module - e.g. main menu, context menu, quick-develop...). If you can't even get that far, consider using exiftool to strip the xmp from DNGs and/or jpegs, or just delete xmp sidecar file in case of proprietary raw.

  • HT204570 Upload all my photos to iCloud through Photos app.

I always kept my photos in folders instead of the iPhoto library (except for a few hundreds), if I want to upload them all to iCloud, do I have to import them all to (new) Photos app? Will the files be duplicated?
I won't sync those photos between all my Apple devices. I just wanna have a backup of them. I even bought more iCloud space already.
Or is there another way to make an iCloud backup of just photos from my Macbook?
    Should I delete iPhoto app?

No.  If you delete them from your device, they will also be deleted from iCloud.  Back up your photos to your computer as explained here: Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC, then you can delete any photos you no longer want to keep on your device.  If you want them on your device later, sync them back using iTunes.

  • After taking some pictures with my iphone, I downloaded them to my computer.  Well when I began using the phone again I realized it had uploaded all my photos to the iphone.  I don't want that and didn't expect it.  It just did it. I want them off!

I have gone to my ATT and store for help but it's not "synching in to my head" on how to do it.  Which means I consider this a bit to complicated.  So how do I manage what goes on and off my phone.  It seems that somewhere it should ask before it does it.  Anyway in a step by step process how do I get the pictures off my iphone.
    thanks
    Dennis

You sync material to your Phone via iTunes.

  • If I have more than one library, how can I upload all photos to iCloud??

I have a couple of different iPhoto libraries. Now that I've upgraded to photos, I am using iCloud and it is currently uploading all the photos & videos from the library Initally opened. How can I upload the other libraries into iCloud?  Will they automatically upload once I use the option key and open the different library??
Also, does Photos need to be running for things to upload to iCloud?
    Thanks!
    Kristin

See the quote below from Designate a System Photo Library in Photos - Apple Support
iCloud and the System Photo Library
You can use iCloud Photo Library, iCloud Photo Sharing, and My Photo Stream only with the System Photo Library. If you choose a different library in Photos without designating it as the System Photo Library, the iCloud tab in Photos preferences is disabled:
If you designate a new library as the System Photo Library and then turn on iCloud Photo Library, the photos and videos in the new library will merge with those already in your iCloud Photo Library. If you want to keep the contents of your photo libraries separate, don’t turn on iCloud Photo Library for more than one library in Photos.

  • I am thinking of changing to a IMaC for my computer and Want to know if I will be able to upload documents from my old computer and all my photos. Everything is in Microsoft Word and excel. I have a iphone and ipad so that is why i am thinking of changing

If I change to a IMAC will I be able to upload all my photos and word and excel documents? Also does it have USB ports like I have already used?
Is there a DVD player on IMACS? It is scary making the move until I am sure I can use everything I already have.  I also have NEAT for all my recepits also.

When the new Mac first starts up, you get the opportunity to migrate your files from another computer, including a PC. This link tells you how to do it from Windows.
As for the iMac's features, you can look through this website to get all the details.
It is possible to install Windows on a Mac and run your Windows applications within it. It's also possible to use programs that are for the Mac which can work with most MS Office files. One good example is LibreOffice.
    Welcome to the Mac.

  • I have a MacAir installed with Aperture.  All my photo's are stored on exdternal drive. How do I upload all these to iCloud - some 50 GB and 10,000  photos? My iCloud has 200GB storage.

I have a MacAir recently installed with Aperture.  All my photo's are currently stored on external hard drive in 100s of folders.  How do I upload all these photos in their folders to iCloud.  My iCloud storage is 200GB.

Wait, until MacOS X 10.10.3 has been released his spring. The Photo.app for Mac, that will come with MacOS X 10.10.3 will make it possible to migrate an Aperture library to a Photos Library and store it in iCloud, so you can use it from all your devices, see this link: Apple - OS X - Photos Preview
But Aperture libraries cannot by stored in a cloud storage. An Aperture library needs to be on a locally mounted drive, because aperture does not support remote access to the library. If you try to move your Aperture library to a Dropbox or on iCloud Drive, it will be corrupted by the network access.
See Apple's recommendations:   Use locally mounted Mac OS X Extended volumes for your Aperture library

  • Update iTunes and now reuploading all my photos, not just new ones

It seems like everytime I update iTunes, the first time I sync, it uploads ALL my photos from my phone to my computer.  I've got about 3000 pictures on my phone and 99% of them are already on my computer.  Usually, iTunes only uploads NEW pictures when I sync but after I update to a new version of iTunes, it uploads ALL of them!  How can I fix this issue?

launch iPhoto wile holding down the option key and select the original library - when you create a new library of course it is empty
And you seriously need to backup your iPhoto library and purchase and install iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x from the App store and download and run the iPhoto library upgraded \then run the new iPhoto - 7.1.5 is not fully compatible with Mavericks
    LN
PS you also need to update your profile - it states that you have OS X 10.6.8

  • ICloud wants to upload the same photos again...

I just uploaded 24,000 pics to the iCloud. Now when I tick the setting "iCloud Photo Library" and select "Download originals to this Mac", it wants to upload all the photos again... and of course tells me that I have to upgrade my storage plan... I already have the 500GB plan. It's as if iCloud doesn't recognise that all the pics I uploaded from the same computer. Help...

Hmm, no reply so far... so this is what I did. I saw that all the pics were in fact in the iCloud. So I decided to take the risk and delete all the pics and videos on the hard drive (I have a backup!) and then download them all from iCloud. This seems to have worked. Now all devices are in sync.
However, even now after a few weeks, none of my devices, iphone, ipad and Macbook Pro are able to browse all the pics. It's incredibly slow and very often I get the message : Cannot load Photo! Very annoying. Does anyone else get this? It seems the cloud cannot handle this mass of pictures. Surely I am no exception out there with this number of pictures...
I am very frustrated. I just can't find a good solution for my picture library. Photos seemed good, but it's not working smoothly enough. Am looking at Adobe, Amazon Cloud Drive, Flickr - but they all have certain deficiencies - iCloud would have it all - syncing, editing, storing, sharing, uploading RAW files... but it's the most expensive out there... and it's not really working...
Sigh. My Synology station is not doing it for me either. I suppose I am asking for too much.
