Upload an update file that can install via a card ...

Please answer me I just want to update my phone.... but I have no USB cable for this, however I have a card reader for my MicroSD...... I just want to know if Nokia has an uploaded file that can be transfered to mobile phone and install manually?
Nokia Software Updater is not responding... I have no option.... All my queries are not yet answered.....

If you were using OSX 10.7 then you could go back to a previous version, but you have overwritten the file.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page).

After clicking one of the circled links, you should be taken to another page, and after a few seconds you should see a download dialog appear for the msicuu2.exe file. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me in Firefox:
Choose to Save the file. If the dialog box does not appear for you, click the link on the page that says "CLICK HERE IF IT DOES NOT". Here's a screenshot of the page with the relevant link circled:
When the dialog appears, choose to save the file.
(2) Go to the Downloads area for your Web browser. Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Limit to number of files that can be moved or copied?

I'm trying to move the contents of the "previous systems" folder (from my update to Leopard) to an external harddrive, but when I drag and drop the file name it starts the process but stays at "preparing to copy 16,850 items." It's still on that message in the dialogue box with the barber pole over an hour later.
My question is: Is there a limit to the number of files that can be moved/copied at one time? Or does it just take a very long time?

Thanks, Katy. I left it up all night and it was in the same place in the morning, so I'm assuming it isn't going to go what I need done in one fell swoop. I had to relaunch Finder before the dialogue box would go away.
Moving all those files will have to wait, I guess, until I have enough time to break them into manageable chunks.

Prime 2.1 upload of update files failes

When trying to upload some update files I get an error "An error occurred while uploading file." and then, after some minutes "There was an error uploading this file. Waited 180 seconds for upload to be complete, but it was never completed.".
This happens with "pi_2.1device_packs_6-49.ubf" and "pi212_20141118_01.ubf" on PI 2.1 (2.1.0.0.87).
I am following the update instruction in Release Notes (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/2-1-2/release/notes/cpi_rn.html#pgfId-52962).
I am using the root account in GUI and already restarted NCS.
Does anyone have a solution?

I tried it using Chrome it works perfectly fine. It may be mostly a browser issue. I would recommend to try another recommended browser.
Also, see if you can use IE for this (7/8/9). In case you get an error try from 'Internet Options' * select 'Security' tab * click 'Custom Level' button * Disable the IE option 'Include the local directory path when uploading files to a server' .

There will be no icon for a software update on your phone. If your iOS is 5.0 or later look in Settings > Software Update
If you are running an iOS version earlier than 5.0 you need to connect your phone to the computer you normally sync with. Start iTunes on your computer, select your phone in iTunes and select General in the row of tabs that are patented. Scroll down to Check for Updates and follow the prompts.

However, rsync keeps updating files that have not been touched in anyway between backups. In fact if I run my backup script twice in a row without otherwise using my computer, some files still get rewritten.
The rsync command I am using is:
rsync --force --ignore-errors -rv --delete
Any ideas why this is happening. I removed the options to preserve time, permissions etc because FAT does not support this.
Edit: It turns out the advise I read on the internet is wrong and FAT can have time preserved. This fixed the problem

No unfortunately it won't open in quicktime either. It does the same thing that Imovie does, separates it into two file folders audio and video, and if i select video it opens to reveal 8 files that cannot be selected. VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB,VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VB, VTS_01_3.VOB. All of which cannot be opened or selected.
Opening it in Idvd and folllowing your suggestion works and I get a format code of NTSC. Is that the same? Thank you for your time and response.

If by "OEM" you mean the disk came with another Win computer, it won't work. You need either a full retail verison or the "System Builders' Edition." I used the latter for my BC installation and it worked flawlessly and was marked as 64-bit--no mention of 32-bit.

What is the maximum number of files that can be opened in a external hard drive (Lacie 500 GB, USB 2.0) connected through the AEBS? Looks like there is a limit.
When I am trying to 'seed' files through a bit-torrent client (Azureus 2.5.0.4) many of them give an error "Error: too many open files". I never had this error before.
When I tried to delete a file in the hard drive, I got the error "too many open files". Then I stopped 'seeding' in Azureus and I was able to delete the file.

Impossible. PDF files don't stream, so they cannot be opened until they've been saved.
You can truly prevent printing by using DRM, or ask nicely by using a permissions password (though that's ignored by non-Adobe software).
