Upload direct to Ipod
Any plans to allow uploading songs directly to the Ipod using the computor as a pass through with no storage to the libary
How would we know? No one here is an Apple employee.
And in any event, there are ways to put songs onto the iPod without keeping them in the iTunes library afterward.

I recently purcase an IPod video, and I have problem with uploading video from Itunes to my IPod. Is working fine when I set it to automatically sync. But when I change the setting to manually and drag the video file into the Movies folder (Itunes) is doesn't seem to be upload to my IPod. Music is working fine. Any one know why.

Windows XPWell this is a hard one,
You need to do a few things.
First you need to get it ripped in a file format by using questionable-legality software (Cough* like mine*). Or you could use illegal-ish (but not really illegal) software such as Limewire. But if for SOME reason you already have it in that from. Here is what you do.
Download this software.

It is free and really easy to use. This will convert your movie file to compatible format, MPEG-4 (or Quick-Time).
Ok that was the easy part!
Now you will have to manually set the Audio bit rate to match to Video Bit rate in the Videora. The help tool will show you how to do it. You may get lucky and it will be the get the same bit rate for both. And then you are good to go! (it is worth a try, up to this point, some videos auto convert exactly to try it)
BUT IF NOT: (here we go)
To get the Audio and Video bit rate, change your view mode in the file folder where your original file is located to filmstrips. Now, hover your mouse over the video file, you should see Audio & Video bit rate. If not you will have to fiddle with Videora to get it right. Now change to bit rates in your options in Videora to match the original file. If the audio is off from the video, your sound will lag while your video plays or vise versa. Meaning, at about 5 min your audio could be off by over 45 sec.
Alright, you got your video. Now drag and drop it into Itunes, and drop it into your ipod. There you go! Easy right?
Well if you are lost after the “BUT IF NOT” part and you can’t get it working sufficiently before that point. My suggestion is to give up, unless you are great with computer fiddling.
So all in all it can be done, but it is VERY hard to do! I have done it, but it takes a while to work (2-3 hours-ish).

If your iTunes is set on manual sync, then you have to manually drag and drop. Otherwise every time yousyncyou'll get all changes even if you don't want it.

I have downloaded itunes direct to my pc but despite syncing with my ipod they are not downloading, however itunes downloaded direct to ipod are syncing to pc. Can anyone help please?
What seems to be the problem? Songs are not syncing from your iTunes library on your PC to your Nano? Is this the same computer you have always synced the Nano with or is this a different/new iTunes library?

Had current ipad since March. Recently videos (in photos app) that were able to be viewed are now missing. The commonality is that they were videos that were not uploaded directly to the ipad. Anything that I've uploaded since March is still accounted for. Just strange because I have viewed these videos since using this ipad. Only recently have they been "removed." WIll try to manually load them back, but any thoughts as to why? Thanks
If the videos were not uploaded to the iPad - (and I'm never sure what that means to another user - synced from iTunes?)- and they were taken with the iPad itself, you will have to restore from a backup in order to recover the videos if they are really gone from the device.
If they are purchased videos and they are in your iTunes library, sync them back to the iPad.

Trying to upload songs onto ipod
I've had my ipod for about 4 months now. i just got out to school about a month ago and today was the first time trying to upload some new songs onto it. when it connected to my computer, it would show the "do not disconnect screen" on it, then reset. i tried doing this 3 or 4 times, and it has yet to work. i was wondering how i could go about fixing this, or if it's just a problem with my ipod that i can't fix? thanks a lot.
I had/have the same problem. I say both - because I went ahead and had to restore the ipod tonight. Itunes nor my PC would recognize it. I downloaded the upgrades for itunes and the ipod installed them both. Went ahead and uploaded all the songs again and it worked fine. Then I disconnected the ipod, uploaded another cd to see if it would upload to the ipod and nope it wouldnt. Itunes would not recognize it. The only way I can disconnect it now is to shut off the PC because all I get is the "do not disconnect" warning. When the PC finally does recognize it - it tells me I need to update the lastest software for the ipod, but then it freezes and when it finally does actually do something - it only gives me the option to restore it. I dont want to do another restore and am at a total loss of what to do next. I have read thru the FAQ's and cant find anything that helps unless I am overlooking it. So any help would be great. Hope we get this problem worked out..Thanks

Connect the iPod to your computer and unsync them:
To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Click Apply. -

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer

There was NEVER a button to send directly from photos to facebook. The iPhone has NEVER had facebook integration. Download the facebook app and use that.

I updated my ipod Touch 4g directly on ipod using wifi. on itunes too it shows ios 6.1.2, but when I try to restore it, itunes downloads the software again. What can I do now?
Let the computer/iTunes download it. That is how Apple has it set up. When you restore via iTunes the IOS is reinstalled on the iPod. Thus, it needs to be on the computer.

actually, video from your camera roll can be sent directly to YouTube, and cannot directly uploaded to Facebook without the use of an app.
Facebook actually has its own iPhone app you can use to send your camera roll video. iPad will run it anyway.
