Upload / Download Key Bindings

Has anyone been able to get upload or download keybindings to function?  The point and click gets a bit tedious for me while doing remote development.

Nifty point about the "unhide" under "filter". I've missed that. (Curious that it doesn't stay disabled across multiple visits to the preferences.)
Yep, I tried those other upload options as well. No dice. What a shame.
I did try still one more option: if we could get the Synchronize command to work with a keystroke, that may be better than nothing. When you call that up from the context menu while editing a file (versus on a project), it does offer just to sync/upload that one file. Sadly, I couldn't get the Synchronize command to respond to a shortcut (the one showing up in the default filter, and the one showing up when you use the "unhide" option above.)
Let's hope someone from Adobe can step in on this one. You may want to at least file a bug/enhancement report. They've been great about responding to those.
I'm totally with you on wanting a keyboard shortcut. It's especially frustrating since so many aspects of working in CFB  (Eclipse) have no corresponding menu command to choose.
Of course, sometimes we can get the command off the context menu of the file we're editing. That's the case for the Synch command. And one may note that there's a key on many keyboards which calls up such a context menu (like clicking the right-mouse button). But curiously, I tried that just now, and while then typing "s" jumped to the "save" and "shift right" commands shown there, it would NOT jump to the Synchronize option at the bottom. That's odd.
At least you can do the arrow keys to go up expand into the Synchronize. So it becomes menu key>up>up>right>enter to do a synch/upload. You could perhaps program an external keyboard mapping tool to do that, while you await Adobe to address this.

  • Key Bindings using the arrow keys

    Following is some code that allows you to move a component around the screen using the arrow keys. I've noticed a problem and I'm just wondering if its Java or my keyboard.
    Lets start with an example that works:
    Press the down and right keys. Then press either the up or left key. The image moves proving that it supports 3 keys.
    Now for the problem:
    Press the up and left keys. Then press either the down or right key. Three things to notice:
    a) the direction doesn't change when the third key is pressed
    b) no output is displayed, so the ActionListener is not being invoked
    c) after a short time, the program starts beeping
    Now try rerunning the code after removing the comments that assign the key bindings to the "a, s, d, f" keys. Redo the above test and it works even if all four keys are pressed.
    I don't remember this problem when I wrote the code a while ago, but I did recently get a cheap new keyboard so I'm just wondering if the problem is my keyboard or whether its a quirk with Java.

    if you hold down left and right (so it doesn't move), down works, but not up.
    hold up/down, right works but not left.Yes, the problem only seems to be when the up and left in combination with the right or down key is pressed.
    num lock off - use the number pad arrow keys and all works OK Thats interesting, I didn't notice that. Although it just confuses the issue as to what the problem is.
    So it appears to me that:
    a) left + up + down, and
    b) left + up + right
    are special key combinations that are intercepted by either the OS or the JVM. Do these key combinations ring a bell to anybody?
    I'm use JDK1.4.2 on XP. I wonder if other OS will have the same problem?
    Again, this isn't a real, problem, just more of a curiosity. Thanks,

  • 2-way file upload/download b/w client/server

    I need help for a good design strategy for 2-way file upload/download betweeen client and server.
    I have to upload a set of files to the server (which is a servlet)
    and again the servlet downloads another set of files to the client (which is an applet)
    I could find a solution to this problem only to a certain extent (i.e) I can upload any no.of files to the servlet from applet but the servlet can download only a single file to the applet.
    But now the requirement needs the servlet to be able to send more than one file. I am not going anywhere ahead from this point since last 2 days.
    I have used ObjectOutputStream-ObjectInputStream objects at both ends for communcation and sending the files as bufferes of 128 size. But this is becoming more complicated to manage the streams!!
    if anyone of you have done this before please help with this!

    Give this a try.
    1) construct
    2) call ZipDocVO.add(Serializable) for each obj that you wish to send.
    3) call ZipDocVO.zip() to zip it up when you are finished adding objects.
    4) send the ZipDocVO, using ObjectOuputStream or whatever
    5) call ZipDocVO.unzip()
    6) call ZipDocVO.getDocuments() to access your objects

  • Firefox crashes when uploading/downloading files from/to 'desktop folder'

    Hello
    I'm hoping, that you can help me!
    I'm using Firefox 28.0 on MacBook Pro Mavericks 10.9.2
    Firefox crashes/freezes when I try to upload/download files from/to my 'desktop folder'.
    I't only happens, when I use this folder. Download to 'download folder' or any other folder works fine.
    Download to 'desktop folder' when using Safari also works fine.
    I't only happens when desktop and firefox tries to communicate.
    It's very annoying when I accidentally forget, that the bugs is there, and I have to force quit and start all over again. And sometimes I don't even have a choice, because 'desktop' randomly opens as default folder, when I try to upload things.
    Thank you so much in advance!
    Kind regards Elizabeth

    Hi ESwan,
    I am not a Mac user so not the best person to attempt to assist but here goes.
    I am presuming that info such as
    PID: 1695 Event: cpu usage (microstackshots only)
    Relate to the Mac OS X crash & event logging and reporting.
    What we need are the ones that Firefox itself generates and submits for processing by Mozilla Firefox
    * See [[Firefox crashes - Troubleshoot, prevent and get help fixing crashes#w_get-help-fixing-this-crash]]'''#w_get-help-fixing-this-crash'''
    From what you say the crashes occur after a certain action and I am hoping that you will be able to use the easy method as in the article linked above. Navigate to about:crashes by keying ''about:crashes'' into the address bar. You are loolking for the ones starting wth ''bp-'' Paste two or three of those into your next post. Include the bp- part but not any link information before that. After they are pasted into the forum the forum software changed them to be links.

  • File Uploads/Downloads

    I have an HP Pavillion Desktop with Windows 7 operating system. I think one of my children has disabled something because when I click on anything to do a file upload/download, I can't access my Desktop or any files on it. Help!

    Hi,
    The easiest way to solve this may be to run Windows System Restore.  First, copy any files currently on your Desktop, paste them into a new folder, then cut and paste the folder in to your Documents folder.
    Once you've done this, shut down the PC.  Windows System Restore is usually best run in Safe Mode.  Tap away at f8 as you start the PC to enter Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and hit enter.  When this has loaded, from the Start Menu, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and launch System Restore.  Pick a restore point before at least 24 hours before this issue and then proceed with the restore process.  When complete, Windows will reboot as normal.

    I have to tried to directly enter the license key through transaction code Slicense but got the error "Incorrect Parameter Specified". I also tried to install through OS level but even could not do so. I have ordered key 5 times, none works on either SAP level or the OS level.
    Somebody told me to upload the file, Please Guide me how to upload license key file to the SAP System.
    Thank You
    Best Regards,

    Very late into the reply. But I am sure someone will run into this issue again -
    In windows cmd prompt, navigate to c:\mbs.
    Then type saplicense.exe -install then follow the prompt.
    NOTE: If you get the following error -
    C:\MBS>saplicense.exe -install
    *** SAPLICENSE (Release 46D) ERROR ***
        ERROR:   Can not set DbSl trace function
        DETAILS: DbSlControl(DBSL_CMD_IMP_FUNS_SET) failed with return code 20

                 DIR_LIBRARY = <path to db-dll>  (e.g. /usr/sap/SID/SYS/exe/run)
    Type"C:\MBS>dbenv.cmd", once it is done. simply retype
    saplicense.exe -install then follow the prompt.

  • Portable xterm key bindings

    Hi all,
    I'm looking for a way to define xterm/bash key bindings in a portable/transferable way. Nothing fancy, I'd just love to use Ctrl+Backspace as "backward-kill-word", Alt+d as "kill-word" and so on. So far I had to define a bunch of key bindings in my .bashrc, but what about all those ssh sessions I open?
    Is there a way to automatically transfer key bindings from localhost to any ssh target? Are there terminal emulators other than xterm that can handle this in a sane way?
    To complicate it further, I can't always install my favorite keymaps at work. We do share accounts on some of our servers, my colleagues aren't keen to use my keybindings 'cause they don't seem to work for them.
    I can't even remember how long I've been fighting by this problem, still I don't see any solution for that. Any help is highly appreciated.

    Why not store your ~/.Xmodmap file in the cloud somewhere, then download it where and when you need it. Better yet, install Dropbox on all your machines so that those files you need on each computer sync each time you change them ??

  • Transfer Rate Upload/Download

    Dear Freindzs,

However this querry is not directly related to Cisco, But reason for raising this problem in this forum is that i have searched a lot but did'nt find any convincing reply. If anyone of you can spend some time on this to reply. please...
    1) We are a ISP at India. We are getting querry related to USA sites/FTP (Download & Upload) from our customers since couple of time.
    Problem :-  Customers/We are not getting upload / download transfer rate more then 1.8 - 2Mbps even on high bandwidth at our customer backend. i.e DS3 or STM-1. in short in all cases/bandwidth the upload & download for USA sites/FTP are not reaching beyond 2 Mbps.
    We have checked all our peering / routing all fine and infact tryed different-different combinations/routing but the response from abroad sites are still not more then 2 Mbps even with best possible combinations.
    2) For Eg:- a customer having 4 Mbps(1:1) internet link from us. Hence the standard transfer rate should be 512KB/s(or close to this) while upload & download. But while downloading or upload to FTP servers. sometime we are getting Channelised response (transfer rate) in multiple sessions. i.e 256KB/s in one and 256KB/s in other, so total 512KB/s. question is what are the all possible reasons that why we are not getting the full or even close to full transfer rate in single session (512KB/s).
    3) What are the factors which impacting the download / upload response except routing. How we can get know or investigate that particular FTP server having bandwidth contraints or having policy configured to limit the upload/download session..

  • File Upload/Download Problem

    Hi,
    I have a fileupload button. The attributes type is XSTRING, which i bound it with "data" property of download.
    When i download this file with "download" element, it comes in a zip file and as XML files. Only the jpg files are downloaded correctly.
    How can i solve this?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I am so sory for my very late answer.
    If you want to upload/download files, you should have a node which includes attributes
    (attribute names are just example ):
    1) filename(type: for example afilename),
    2)mimetype (type : string),
    3) file(type : a data element with type 'RAWSTRING').
    You must match your fileupload element's attributes with them:
    "DATA" attribute --> file ,
    "fileNAME" attribute--> filename,
    "mimeTYPE" attritube -->mimetype.
    When you want to download this file, you should put a filedownload element and match this element's attributes with the node's attributes which i described above.

  • Control-k key binding broken. How can I check and change my key bindings?

    I use the Terminal app a lot. Unfortunately I am not able to use the control-k shortcut to cut lines in the terminal anymore. How can I check (and change) the Terminal key bindings?
    Thank you!

    Basing on your input, you should get the following values:
    1) session keys
    SK_ENC: 6DCE2A99BACB5207A7A96A92F114D66C
    SK_MAC: 0D446132B168F75CD6F0A780693A4DD3
    SK_DEK: 19F7B0F94837F32874B29B5EFB7809F6
    2) host cryptogram
    1B781553209748EA
    3) Retail MAC
    01761103B810F00E
    Summing up, the External Authenticate command should have the following value:  84 82 01 00 10 1B781553209748EA 01761103B810F00E.
    Try to compare it with your results.

  • Is there a way to upload/download photos anonymously?

    Is there a way to anonymously upload/download photos to the web without any sort of identification?
    For example, if I'm using something like TOR to browse, and I find an icon on a site or Google Images that I want to use as my avatar for a social networking site, can I "Save As" from my TOR browser and download that image anonymously to my computer's desktop? Or does my information leak when I save to my computer?
    ...and then, in turn and perhaps more importantly, how do I upload that photo as my social network photo/avatar without any sort of identifying source tag or whatever from my computer?
    When I attempt to upload a photo to the site, it keeps showing something like /Users/[iMacUserName]/Desktop
    Is there any way to do this anonymously?
    Would having something like a VPN be more useful than TOR in this situation?
    I'm new to all this, so I'd really appreciate any information possible. If it makes more sense to send an IM or private email, please feel free to contact me that way as well.
    Any recommendations for a great VPN to use with mac would be great too.
    Thanks so much in advance for your time.

    The image isn't anything dirty, nor is it necessarily copyrighted... I mean, it's a photo still from a movie I like that I wanted to use as my avatar photo. So I suppose technically it's copyrighted, but I'm not trying to pass it off as really being me, or mine. I see people using that kind of thing for avs all the time.
    I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm not worried about the image I'm using, I'm worried about other users on the site being able to somehow find out that the image was uploaded from my computer (IP address, location, etc)
    Like, could the admins at a social networking site see that the image was uploaded from my computer?
    When I prompt the "upload" it only gives me the option to directly upload it from my computer, and as I said in my OP, it comes up with my iMac computer ID or whatever as the source of the file. (In the upload bar). Once I upload it, I think this information disappears, as I've tried to inspect other users avatars and it says owner info is private... but can the admins see WHERE the photo was uploaded from?
    Does something like TOR block this? Or do I need something else? I tried to do some research on it and found another user asking a similar question and someone responded saying they needed to tunnel it or something?
    Again, I'm not asking this b/c I'm trying to upload some inapropriate photo, but because this site is very strict about multiple accounts, and I have another account there that I'm not ready to delete yet. I just want to have a second, 100% anonymous account. (and feel I should also put it out there that it's not to do anything illegal or harmful to anyone either) just for me.
    Thanks again for any more answers on this.

  • Upload/Download file to/from a document library in a SharePoint online site

    Hi,
    I am referring to the below blog for Upload/Download file to/from a document library in a SharePoint online site.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rohitpuri/archive/2007/04/10/upload-download-file-to-from-wss-document-library-using-dav.aspx?CommentPosted=true#commentmessage
    I would like to know if this is feasible with a SharePoint online site.
    If feasible, how can I resolve the below exception I am getting while using the code.
    “The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden”.
    Thanks,
    Thanan

    Hi,
    Actually what I am trying to achieve is the two things.
    1) By using only the user's name, need to upload/download from/to the document library of SharePoint online site using the CSOM. (i.e., achieving Single Sign On / Windows Authentication)
    2) I need to achieve the above only by passing the document URL; not by hardcording/ configuring the document library name in the windows application.
    Can anyone pls help on this now?
    [Below code is working fine. But need to arrive the solution whereas the above 2 conditions are not violated.
    using (var clientContext
    = new ClientContext("https://yoursiteurl.com"))
               string passWd
    = "password";
               SecureString securePassWd
    = new SecureString();
               foreach
    (var c in passWd.ToCharArray())
                    securePassWd.AppendChar(c);
                clientContext.Credentials
    = new SharePointOnlineCredentials("username", securePassWd);
               using
    (var fs =
    new FileStream("fileName",
    FileMode.Open))
    var fi =
    new FileInfo("fileName");
    var list = clientContext.Web.Lists.GetByTitle("Doc Library");
                   clientContext.Load(list.RootFolder);
                   clientContext.ExecuteQuery();
    var fileUrl = String.Format("{0}/{1}", list.RootFolder.ServerRelativeUrl,
    fi.Name);
    Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.File.SaveBinaryDirect(clientContext, fileUrl,
    fs, true);
    Thanks,
    Thanann

  • File Upload/Download

    Hi
    When using the file upload/download functionality, APEX stores the uploaded object in a table by default. See: http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31036_01/doc/appdev.22/b28839/up_dn_files.htm#CJAHDJDA
    Is there a way to specify that the file should NOT be stored in a table, but rather, be stored on the file system?. Example in a directory object location.
    I intend to use the upload/download functionality to load csv files that will then be parsed as external tables.
    Thanks
    Kezie

    Hi,
    I modified the above procedure to point to my tables and trying to create the procedure in Apex database and am getting the following error:
    Procedure:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE write_blob_to_file
    ( p_docid IN NUMBER,
    p_directory IN VARCHAR2,
    p_filename IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL )

    l_file utl_file.file_type;
    l_buffer RAW(32767);
    l_amount BINARY_INTEGER := 32767;
    l_position INTEGER := 1;
    l_blob BLOB;
    l_length INTEGER;
    l_filename VARCHAR2(400);
    BEGIN
    SELECT BLOB_CONTENT, MPP_name
    INTO l_blob, l_filename
    FROM MPP_FILES
    WHERE id = p_docid;
    IF p_filename IS NOT NULL THEN
    l_filename := p_filename;
    END IF;
    l_length := dbms_lob.getlength( l_blob );
    l_file := utl_file.fopen( p_directory, l_filename, 'wb', 32767 );
    WHILE l_position < l_length LOOP
    dbms_lob.read( l_blob, l_amount, l_position, l_buffer );
    utl_file.put_raw( l_file, l_buffer, TRUE );
    l_position := l_position + l_amount;
    END LOOP;
    utl_file.fclose( l_file );
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN others THEN
    IF utl_file.is_open( l_file ) THEN
    utl_file.fclose( l_file );
    END IF;
    raise_application_error( -20001, SQLERRM );
    END write_blob_to_file;
    Error:

    6. l_file utl_file.file_type;
    7. l_buffer RAW(32767);
    8. l_amount BINARY_INTEGER := 32767;
    Please let me know what am i missing. I am pretty new to PL/SQL and Apex.
    Also wondering is there a way to download files from tables using Java Stored Procedure. Please give some pointers.

    Hi,
        I am unable to upload download HTML file(71 MB)into folders of collabration rooms.if it is uploaded also its getting Scripted/corrupted.
    other files are working properly.
    Is it because of large size or any other configuration settings.there is no error msg buts its getting scripted.
    Waiting for your response
    Thanks
    Amit kumar Koyal

    Hi Kerstin,
    the note also says: "This restriction is no longer valid".
    With SP19 I do run tests continously that test content up to 2GB.
    Amit: What portal version are you running? What repository implementation is the file stored in? If the file is stored in a file system, what is it's file size limitation?
    Regards,
    Michael

  • Upload / Download document to KM Content Server from WebDynpro Application

    I have a requirement where I need to upload / download document into / from KM Content Server from my WebDynpro Application.
    Is it technically possible and if Yes, can I get any Sample code for this.

    Hi Tahzeeb,
    first of all i would point you to the JavaDocs for KMC API.
    https://media.sdn.sap.com/javadocs/NW04/SPS15/km/index.html
    And here is a small example of reading and storing KM resources.
    For reading:
         * Returns a resource as an InputStream from the KM repository
         * at the given path. The IUser is needed for authorization.
         * @param user      IUser for checking authorisation.
         * @param resPath   Path to the KM resource.
         * @return          Requested resource as a stream.
        private InputStream getKmResource(final IUser user, final String resPath)
            throws ResourceAccessException {
            try {
                final IResourceFactory factory = ResourceFactory.getInstance();
                final RID rid = RID.getRID(resPath);
                final IResource kmResource =
                    factory.getResource(
                        rid,
                        new ResourceContext(getDeprecatedIUser(user)));
                if (kmResource == null) {
                    throw new ResourceNotFoundException(
                        "KM resource not found: " + resPath,
                        resPath);
                return kmResource.getContent().getInputStream();
            catch (WcmException e) {
                throw new ResourceAccessException("Error accessing KM resource: " + resPath, e, resPath);
    And for writing:
         * Stores a resource in the KM repository at the given path with the given name and mimetype.
         * Content is taken from the given inputstream.
         * @param user          IUser for checking authorisation.
         * @param resName   Name of the resource
         * @param resPath     Path to the resource
         * @param mimeType MimeType of the resource
         * @param inputStream  Resource content
         * @throws ResourceAccessException
        private void putKmResource(
            final IUser user,
            final String resName,
            final String resPath,
            final String mimeType,
            final InputStream inputStream)
            throws ResourceAccessException {
            try {
                final ResourceContext rContext = new ResourceContext(getDeprecatedIUser(user));
                final RID rid = RID.getRID(resPath);
                final ICollection kmCollection =
                    (ICollection) ResourceFactory.getInstance().getResource(rid, rContext);
                if (kmCollection == null) {
                    throw new ResourceNotFoundException(
                        "KM resource not found: " + resPath,
                        resPath);
                else {
                    IContent kmContent = new Content(inputStream, mimeType, -1);
                    IResource kmResource = kmCollection.createResource(resName, null, kmContent);
            catch (ResourceException e) {
                throw new ResourceAccessException("Error accessing KM resource: " + resPath, e, resPath);
            finally {
                try {
                    inputStream.close();
                catch (IOException e1) {
                    throw new ResourceAccessException("Error closing InputStream when accessing " + resPath, e1, resPath);
    Hope that helps for a start.
    Best regards,
