Upload from clipboard option in webdynpro abap selection screen

Hello Gurus,
We have a requirement in select-options in webdynpro.i have implimented select-options successfully using
WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS used component.now i need to impliment 'upload from clipboard' option when ever i click on advance options arrow mark. this option we can get in normal abp from selection screen.in selection screen against select-option field we have multiple options arrow mark.when ever we click this arrow mark we can able to see the upload from clipboard button at lowe level.exact same option how can we impliment in webdynpro abap selection screen.
Could anyone please suggest solutions?
if possible could you send me the sample code or relevent links for the same.

Which server version are you working on...Is it ECC6 or nwetweaver 7..
I guess that option is avaialbel in Netweaver 7.0..Need to check there is an option for Clipboard in select-options..

Xavier Reddy Penta sent me this question via email and I answered it directly yesterday. Here is the solution that I provided to him, so that it is stored with the original question:
I believe your problem is that you are not setting the value into the range correctly. You are setting it directly into the field symbol of the range like such:
<FS> = L_STRING2.
But ranges are deep objects. They have four fields: Sign, Option, High, and Low. This is from the online help:
1. sign of type c and length 1. The content of sign determines for every row whether the result of the condition formulated in the column is included or excluded in the entire resulting set for all rows. Evaluable values are "I" for include and "E" for exclude.
2. option of type c and length 2. option contains the selection option for the condition of the row in form of logical operators. Analyzable operators are "EQ", "NE", "GE", "GT", "LE", "LT", "CP" and "NP" if column high is initial, and "BT", "NB" if column high is not initial. With the options "CP" and "NP", the data type of the columns low and high must be of the data type c, and special rules apply for entries on the selection screen.
3. low of the data type defined after FOR. This column is designated for the comparison value or the lower interval limitation.
4. high of the data type defined after FOR. This column is designated for the upper interval limitation.
So when you are moving the value into the field symbol you are setting it into the sign column.
Here is an example of how you can access the components of the range:
* create a range table that consists of this new data element

Multiple Selection Upload from Clipboard

hi experts
I am looking to see if anyone has any information on how to get the Multiple Selection Upload from Clipboard functionality into the webUI as we had in the SAPGUI.
An example of how this is used is by going in the SAPGUI to /BEA/CRMB01 - Maintain Billing Due List and under billing document, clicking the arrow on the right which enables multiple selection and upload via clipboard.

HI Prashanth,
Not as of now, ranges can be an option though, if they can be applied. If you have maintained the Ids since the start of the implementation following some stanrds then its good or otherwise it might be a re-work to type again and again and concatenate the results.

OnSelect event for a Drop down UI Element in Webdynpro ABAP Select Options

We have built our UI based on the webdynpro ABAP Select Options. We have a requirement that, when we change the value of a drop down box in the UI, I need to hide some fields. Can anybody help me out in handling of OnSelect event of a drop down box built using webdynpro ABAP Select Options. We are on SAP Netweaver 7.0 EHP1.

Hi Srikanth,
as you seem to be already aware, the component is dynamically built.
so you would have to enhance the code that builds the element and insert a reference to a new action (enhancement) that could handle the onSelect event.
What is it about this that you particularly want help with?

ABAP Dump while using "Upload from clipboard"

Hi,
We are facing ABAP dump when using "upload from clipboard" funciton without any data on the clipboard.
"Upload data" is working fine if some data exists on the clipboard. If in case of no data on the clipboard, it is leading to an ABAP dump.
Appreciate if anyone could point some OSS note or any solution if you've already faced this issue.
This is happening in our BW system with SAP_BASIS "SAPKB62018" and SAP_ABA "SAPKA62018".
Same thing happens in our BW test systems which are upgraded to the latest support pack.
Following is the error analysis
Error analysis
A RAISE statement in the program "CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES======CP " raised the
exception
condition "CNTL_ERROR".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program
in the hierarchy, processing was terminated.
Short description of exception condition:
For detailed documentation of the exception condition, use
Transaction SE37 (Function Library). You can take the called
function module from the display of active calls.
How to correct the error
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:

When you say 'We are facing ABAP dump when using "upload from clipboard" funciton without any data on the clipboard.', are you using this in a custom program and are you running your custom program in the background?
From the error you mentioned, to me it looks like you had a control error and controls are for foreground, online process and not suitable for background processing. Same argument holds good for most of the enjoy SAP transactions when you try to do BDC, they will give you a similar error if you hit the piece of code where controls are used.
Controls are created on the desktop of the user and in background this is not possible.
Please let me know if this is the reason.

I hope that SAP is looking into implementing the import from the clipboard for select-options. I understand that there are security concerns for giving the browser access to the clipboard, but that's what we have security policies for...
E.g. it is clearly possible to access the clipboard from the browser; not sure if that applies for all possible browsers, but it should be possible to check it for the ones that SAP supports (e.g. here's an article for [Mozilla|http://kb.mozillazine.org/Granting_JavaScript_access_to_the_clipboard] and here for [Internet Explorer|http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250473%28VS.85%29.aspx]).
Also, I suspect the web experts may have better comments on this topic, but what about the example Google Docs? There I can clearly copy/paste from/to the clipboard (without changing any security settings).
I suspect that many users will list the feature to fill select-options from the clipboard as a very important feature. So if it's really not possible to make it work for all users (security concerns), why not have instructions on how to enable it (might have to be platform/application specific). Probably not a good example, but even SAPgui allows me to store passwords (obviously a very big security risk) on my computer with the right registry hack...

Erro in SE16 upload from clipboard

In SE16-Table Name (eg MARC)-Table contents MATNR multiple-field selection. I make copies of records (2000) from an Excel spreadsheet and click the button "upload from clipboard". then copy and click the button number of entries, then appears dump :
DBIF_RSQL_INVALID_RSQL
Except.                CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
The current ABAP program "/1BCDWB/DBMARC" had to be terminated because one of
     the statements could not be executed. This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
Nota: applied the note 1175705 and did not work. The dump occurs above the 2000 records, selecting any table. Any ideas?

Unable to Upload data from text file into BEx Analyzer selection screen

Hi,
No response from BEx Analyzer when I am trying to upload around 40,000 material from text file into BEx Analyzer selection screen using "Upload selections" options. But I am able to upload only 10,000 material from text file. I never faced same kind of issue when I am using BEx Analyzer 3.x. Please let me know I have to change any settings related to BEx or any other.

"Import from Text File" & "Upload from Clipboard" icon not appearng in F110

Hi Experts,
While making the payment to the vendors through TN F110, in "PARAMETER" screen just next to 'STATUS' screen, there is a vendor field for selection in range and just ahead of this there is an icon for multiple vendor selection ( Bold arrow mark ). If I click on that multiple vender selection icon ( on bold arrow mark ), an another screen opens for multiple selection for vendors. In this screen 'Enter, Copy, Delete etc' icons are appearing at the bottom of the screen but "Import from Text File" & "Upload from Clipboard" icon are not appearing there.
Can you please let me know how to bring that icons there?

I have not yet created anything and have just entered the parameter. In the multiple screen for vendors there are 5 fields for individual and 5 for range selection. Even you can put more than five range selections or individual selections by clicking on the page button but there I am not finding these two icons.
Can you please check at your end and let me know if you are getting or what to do to bring those two icons in F110.

Cannot upload from clipboard with Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 in SAPgui 710r1

I cannot upload from clipboard when I want to upload a list of material number in Multiple Selection Window. I can only use import from text file and than klik transfer.
My OS is Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 and my SAP Gui is 710r1 java SAPGui.

CHECK BOX :
AS CHECKBOX [USER-COMMAND fcode]
Effect:
This addition specifies that the input field in the first position of the selection screen is displayed as a checkbox, with the corresponding description next to it on the right. The checkbox is selected if the value of para is "X" or r "x". Otherwise, it is not selected.
The parameter must be created with the type c and length 1. An explicit length len is not permitted. If the addition TYPE is used, this can only be followed by the generic type c or a non-generic data type of type c and length 1.
The addition USER-COMMAND can be used to assign a function code fcode to the parameter. The function code fcode must be directly specified and may have a maximum length of 20 characters. To evaluate the function code, an interface work area of the structure SSCRFIELDS from the ABAP Dictionary must be declared using the statement TABLES. When the user selects the checkbox on the selection screen, the runtime environment triggers the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN and transfers the function code fcode to the component ucomm of the interface work area sscrfields.
Notes
If the TYPE addition is used to make a reference to a data type in the ABAP Dictionary of type CHAR and length 1, and for which t the valid values in the domain are defined as "X" and " ", the parameter is automatically displayed as a checkbox on the selection screen.
If the addition USER-COMMAND is specified without the addition AS CHECKBOX, and the parameter is of type c with length 1, it is also displayed as a checkbox.
The addition USER-COMMAND can, for example, be used for screen modifications with the addition MODIF ID (see example).

group is used to define the radio button group for the parameter. The name group is entered directly as a character string with a maximum of 4 characters. Within a selection screen, there must be a minimum of two parameters in the same radio button group. There cannot be more than one radio button group with the same name in one program, even if they are defined in different selection screens.
The parameter must be specified with the type c and length 1. Explicit length specification using len is not permitted. If the addition TYPE is used, it can only be followed by the generic type c or a non-generic data type of type c and length 1.
In a radio button group, only one parameter can be defined with the addition DEFAULT, and the specified value must be "X". By default, the first parameter in a radio button group is set to the value "X", and the rest are set to " ".
The addition USER-COMMAND can be used to assign a function code fcode to the first parameter in a radio button group. The function code fcode must be specified directly, and have a maximum length of 20 characters. To evaluate the function code, an interface work area of the structure SSCRFIELDS from the ABAP Dictionary must be declared using the statement TABLES.
