Upload iWeb website to GoDaddy FTP hosting server

I purchased a domain (huaichuanrui.co.uk) and web hosting from GoDaddy. I created a website in iWeb '09 (version 3) and clicked on the site name in the left hand sidebar. I filled in all the FTP server information - in the server address box, I've tried ftp.huaichuanrui.co.uk, huaichuanrui.co.uk, http://huaichuanrui.co.uk, the IP address, ftp://huaichuanrui.co.uk, everything. I've typed the username and password for my hosting account correctly. I left the Directory/Path field empty like most people recommend, but I've also tried it with the folder location on my Mac (/Huaichuan_Rui), /Huaichuan_Rui/, all sorts. I left Protocol as FTP and Port as 21. Still, no luck. Testing keeps failing.
I've also tried uploading the site folder to the GoDaddy hosting control panel thing where it says "Upload Files". It all uploaded, but still nothing. The homepage preview is shown as "pageok". Now when I visit my site, it says "Coming Soon - Future home of something quite cool".
No luck at all in publishing my iWeb website to GoDaddy's FTP hosting server.
Anyone have any ideas how to resolve this issue? Thank you.

Maybe you could let me know which hosting service you are using so that I can add them to my list of those NOT recommended for iWeb users!
I just dealt with one today who claimed the iWeb sites were incompatible and that the first line of code should be deleted from every HTML file before upload to their server.
They didn't even offer the information that it would be a lot easier to modify the .htaccess file never mind offer to do it for a customer.
Nobody should expect to pay for service like this and the answer is to dump them and go to a company that gives you some value and support for your money. If the ones on this page don't meet your requirements for cost and service...

Trouble uploading a Muse site to FTP Host

Whenever I try to upload my website made with Adobe Muse to an FTP host I always get the error message:
Connection to PHP file failed. Unable to check if this web server supports PHP needed by Muse forms. Be sure the domain name entered in the FTP upload dialog is correct.
I'm using Godaddy/Cpanel to launch my website but I can't figure out how to launch it. I already bought/have the domain name and I already went through business catalyst. When I type in the URL for the website it just brings me to an error page with a link to my cpanel log in. Do you think this is something wrong with Cpanel because that is what I'm using to launch the site? Or is Cpanel not compatible with Muse?

The message suggests that you are trying to use the web forms widget in Adobe Muse and it seems that your hosting service provider does not support PHP or PHP mail service.

Trying to Upload my website using godaddy

As this is my first website that is actually going to be published please cut me some slack,
i am trying to upload my website to go daddy and i dont know what my file names have to be or where they need to be, any help would be awesome, also when i move files my website gets all jumbled because it can no longer locate certain files (because i just moved them) what do i need to do in order to get this site going.?

Your domain's home page = index.html
That needs to be at your site's root level.
Example: http://yoursite.com/index.html

Uploading iWeb site to godaddy host

Greetings,
I am trying to publish one of my iWeb generate sites to a godaddy account. When I publish to a folder it publishes all of my sites to the folder - I am just interested in this one site. So I move that site folder out of the published folder and attempt to upload it and haven't had any success.
Also, I have tried several FTP clients, fetch, filezilla, fireftp and the go daddy on line ftp client(limited to 4 mg which is okay right now).
I can't upload anything and can't figure out where my problem is - these clients seem fairly straight forward.

Thanks for the responses. I think my problem is related to the cable modem. I had some problems with my vonage VOIP and the vonage tech person said there was an issue with that particular modem. Comcast says there are no problems on their end but I am suspicious. Anyway, I don't seem to have any other issues. I e-mailed my published files to my home computer also with comcast and was able to upload the files through fireftp first try. I then had to take/move the pages out of the folder using fireftp and place them in the general part of the HTML godaddy folder - up and running.
How do I do or track down these issues with my cable modem at my office(btw 1 computer and two voip lines). I've tried running the ethernet directly to the computer bypassing the voip stuff with no joy.

Godaddy + FTP hosting

Okay this is going to be a stupidly easy question for someone to answer, but I have my domain through godaddy and am now trying to set up my iweb sited to be hosted via ftp. Where on godaddy would I find the information that I need to host my site. Again I know this is stupidly easy, but I am not tech savvy when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Why is my iweb website not working?(hosted with built in apache)

I am using my iMac G3 as a server but ,y website looks all wonky, why? it was working fine earlier until i updated it on my MBP then sent it to my iMac and put it in the sites folder. Also, i don't if this matters but when i go to localhost on my iMac(server) it gives me the "seeing this instead of the..."

You are suposed to enter your directory pad as following: /domains/<enter your domain here>/public_html/
For example: /domains/KBaldwin.uk/public_html/

Problems uploading via FTP-host

I have very often (most of the time actually) problems uploading a website via the FTP-host. Changes I made are often not uploaded etc. Is this a common problem or am I the only one?

Please provide more details as what exactly is not updating while ftp upload process , is it any text , image etc ? does this happens with a specific page or any page ? The changes should get update once you upload the files to same location , unless there is any sync issue with server.

Error uploading to FTP host

I've been trying to upload to the FTP host for 2 days now, everytime I'm getting this error message.
I have no idea what it is, I've tried finding the file that has caused the error, but can't find it anywhere.

Hello,
Please use File>Export to HTML option in Muse and export your site in a folder on your local machine.
Now use some third party FTP Client (Like FileZilla etc.) and upload these (exported) files to your hosting server via FTP.
Please let us know if you are able to upload the files there or not.

I'm trying to upload to ftp host in adobe muse to publish my muse website live for the first time so that it overwrites a website I have from iweb. I have a domain and hosting service from Ventra IP, I put these details in the 'upload to ftp host' box that appears, it publishes, however my old website that I created in iweb still shows up.

Without knowing your skill level, I will first start out with the easiest fix and ask if you have hit control-F5 to refresh your screen in case your computer is holding a cached version of your site. If that's not it, then I will say that I once had a similar issue and had to go into the files on my site and delete an old index file that was on the remote server. Once I deleted the old one, I was able to see the Muse site (and new index.html file) I uploaded.

Yet i Can access my website fine "www.calmwood.com.au"
My ftp server responds to either the IP Address or the DNS Address www.calmwood.com.au
so i am not understanding how it thinks its different. when its fully referenced
