Upload Limit in WSE 2012 R2

Hi everyone.
In WSE 2012 R2 it is possible to upload up to 2 Gb at once. Is it possible to change this value? Maybe somewhere in registry?
Thanks for help.

  • Windows 8.1 Standard with Microsoft Account does not work with WSE 2012

    I have a WSE 2012 machine with 3 users & 3 devices setup.
My Windows 8 (Standard) Laptop with Local User connects fine.
My Windows 8.1 (Standard) Nettop with Local User connects fine.
But my Windows 8.1 (Standard) Laptop with a Microsoft Account does not automatically login to the Server. It worked fine when it was running Windows 8 with a Local User but unfortunately in 8.1, MS decided to force a Microsoft Account login on us if I want
to continue to use Sky Drive! That would be fine, but now it wont login to their own server product...
I've tried adding a Windows Credential (set at Enterprise level) to the Credentials manager but it just gets forgotten on reboot.
If I log into the LaunchPad (which creates a temporary credential) then it works fine HOWEVER the "remember me" tick box is being ignored and the next time I restart the PC the LaunchPad is signed out again!
    I've re-installed the connector.
I've removed the PC from WSE, un-installed the connector and then re-joined. (Done this twice, once as a local user and then converted to MS Account, and once as an MS Account.)
Basically, I just don't think WSE2012 with non-Pro versions of 8.1 on a MS Account have been tested and MS need to either fix it or document it. If someone could just get the LaunchPad to remember my local login and automatically start on next reboot then
it wouldn't be a problem. OR stop launch pad from deleting the manual credentials I added everytime I reboot. At the moment it's the worst of both worlds.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Susan,
Thanks very much for replying, but if you re-read my post you'll see that I already know how to do that and also that I don't want to change back to a local account because I need Skydrive access.
Essentially as it stands, I can use Windows 8.1 with WSE but lose SkyDrive (and any other MS Account benefits) or I can use an MS Account with Windows 8.1 but lose permanent access to my server shares and client backups...
Reading around it seems that it's perfectly possible to have an MS Account and then do one of the following:
Use a Windows Credential stored for the local user to give access to the Server.
Set the LaunchPad to automatically log in at start-up.
If on a Domain, go into settings and Link the MS Account to your Domain Account.
Unfortunately none of these options are working for me (3 isn't even possible with 8.1 Std).

  • Download/Upload Limit with Shaping

I have a network with 8-10 PC's both wireless and wired.
I am looking for an ADSL 2+ Modem with Router that will -
    - Designate IP addressess based on MAC addresses.
    - Allow me to set a download/upload limit based on amount not speed (ie give everyone 20GB download/upload each month) for each IP Address.
    - Allow me to shape the speed if they go over their 20GB limit, so they are not cut off from the internet, but will get a slower speed.
    - Has a phone port so an Analog phone can be connected for VOIP, and SIP settings for voip connection. (Not a big requirement)
Does Cisco have any product (Even if it is only a Router) that fully or partially does the above - However it must be able to allocate blocks/amounts of traffic to each IP address on the network, so download/upload limits can be shared equally. (Even if a more expensive router is avaible/designed for larger operation, I would be willing to look at it)
Note I would prefer something where the "firmware" has the necessary options to set the above.
    Thank you
    John

my signal indicator on the menu bar shows all bars.
As you have probably guessed by now, the "bars" are there pretty much for show, as they tell you very little about the actual strength of your signal, and nothing about the noise.
My Mac is on the floor just above the AP and a total of about 30 feet away.
A typical wall constructed of sheet rock and 2 x 4s in a home will on average, absorb 15-25% of the signal. A ceiling is much thicker, and typically will absorb 45-60% of the signal.
What about different channels, taking it off "automatic" and choosing a particular channel?
The "Automatic" setting will scan all frequencies and select the "best" channel that is available at the time. You can set the channels manually, but which channel to choose?
You just have to experiment as no particular channel is really "better" than another. It all depends on what channels are in use at any particular time, and that is hard to know, even with good scanning equipment.
A lot of networks are "invisible". You cannot "see" them, so there are more around you than you might think.
Is ridding the house of cordless phones the only answer?
The cordless phones may or may not be causing problems for the wireless network. The only way that you will know is to pick a time when you can turn them and their base stations off for a few hours and then restart your entire network.  Keep an eye on things to see if you notice any difference in performance.
Moving the AP location is not possible, as the cable modem can't be moved.
Perhaps the modem cannot be moved, but you can move the AirPort Extreme anywhere that an Ethernet cable will reach from the modem. You can use virtually any length of cable you want in a home.

  • WSE 2012 R2 Backup keeps failing on new hardwware

    Greetings,
After completely rebuilding my WSE 2012 R2 with Update box on new hardware (server class this time) I find I am unable to get Windows Backup to run. It confiures just fine, but continuously fails when attempting the backup itself.
Any suggestions as to where to look or what may be wrong?  I am using the same external drive dock as before when everything worked fine, but now cannot backup the server.
    Please help,
    Bob Hessenauer

    All,
Actually the issue came down to something so simple we seem to alwayy7s forget it (not that the error messages were helpful in this case).  The problem here was a bad USB cable going from the server to the external dock, once that was replaced with
a new cable everything flew and I am happy to report that backups are running without a hitch.
Let this be a lesson to all - check your cables and replace them if they are getting old or you start getting odd errors with the devices associated with them.  Had I done this in the beginning I would have saved myself and an MS Engineer several hours
of troubleshooting that was totally unnecessary7.
To Microsoft - Try the simple answers first,. See if a new cable is available and solves the problem when dealing with external devices and you can save a ton of time and effort.
    Hope this helps,
    Bob Hessenauer

  • Hitting the 20Mb upload limit

Our respondents are hitting the 20MB upload limit: is there any way of increasing the restriction? We are limiting each to one 20MB item per 'question' but we still get problems with uploaded scans being refused. (Ironically, they're Adobe PDFs that are causing the problem)

    Hi YTKO,
Forms Central only support files size up to 20 MB and there isn't any way to increase it.

  • Remote Web Workspace Upload Limit.

Hi - Just noticed the upload limit for RWW on SBS 2011 is 2GB.
I would like to make this unlimited, or at least increase the limit to 20GB. This increase is to enable the site to handle huge amounts of application log files for diagnostics......the files can be 1000's of individual files at 1-2mb or 1 file at 10gb ++.
    Thanks,
    John.

    Hi,
As I know, when we upload files via RWW, we can find follow note message:
Note: The upload limit per file is 2GB. It should be by design. So, it seems to be no
    methods
    to increase. Sorry for it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Large File Upload ~50mb Fails using Firefox/Safari. Upload Limit is 1gig set at Web App. IIS timeout set at 120 seconds.

Strange issue.  User can upload the file using IE9, but cannot do the same using Safari, Chrome, or FireFox.  The library resides in a Site Collection that was migrated from a 2010 Site Collection.  The timeout on IIS is 120 seconds.Very strange
    indeed.
Haven't been able to trace the Correlation ID at this point.

try using rest api for this much file upload if you are using custom solution.

  • How to deal with Upload limit of Document Library

    Hi
We are working on SharePoint Online (Office365). We have a requirement to upload files of 20GB+ size. I have come across a limitation that we can't upload files to document library whose size is more than 2GB. Please provide an clarification on this
    limitation.
We want our user to upload files up to 20GB. Can we give him an option to upload file using SP Designer. If we can create a folder an user can open site in SPD then they can upload files. Is there any limitation of file size in folder.
If this is not the feasible option kindly suggest us any other way by which we can fulfill this requirement.
    Regards
    Vikrant Kaushal

    Vikrant,
Please see the SharePoint Online Boundaries and Limits document
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/office365-sharepoint-online-enterprise-help/sharepoint-online-software-boundaries-and-limits-HA102694293.aspx#_SharePoint_Online_for_2
The 2Gb file limit is a hard limit that cannot be exceeded in either on-premises or cloud based versions of SharePoint due to a SQL/File system limitation.
The best bet that you can do is look at using a storage location based in perhaps Azure and then linking to this location from Office 365. Unfortunately you can't use search crawl for none Office 365 locations, so I would think about using a links list to
surface the large files in SharePoint as a link item, thus making them available to search etc.

  • ITunes Match Content Upload Limit

    Hi;
Is there a limitation for content uploading to iTunes Match service? Can i upload any music any time to match and make it available for all my deivces?

For Itunes match you are limited to 25K tracks that have not been purchased in itunes store. Itunes store purchases are not counted towards this limit.
When you sign up for match, your library is scanned and tracks are matched or uploaded. The only tracks uploaded are those ones that Itunes can't match.
You cannot pick or choose the the tracks that you wish to be uploaded.
Matched, Uploaded & purchased will be available on your IOS devices.

  • Upload Limit

First attempt at uploading since the switch to REVEL. 50 of 73 photos uploaded before the warning that I reached the monthly limit. What is the limit?

initially, new users get unlimited uploads for 30 days. After that, they can revert to a free account, that has a 50 upload/month limit, or they can subscribe and have unlimited uploads and the ability to upload raw files as well.

  • MDW Upload failing on SQL 2012

I've configured MDW data collection job on SQL 2012 server and the repository server is on SQL 2008 server. But the Upload job is failing on login failure error. The SQl 2012 agent job is taking domain\servername$ to run the job, even i change the account
to another domain account, it still uses the same account to connect.
Is this expected behavior? is there any workaround?
    Thanks
    Jay

    Hi Jay,
According to your description, you can post the error messages for analysis. In addition, it seems that your SQL Server Agent account (domain\servername$) on SQL Server 2012 has no privileges to access the Management Data Warehouse (MDW) database. By default
the data collection upload job will run as the SQL Server Agent account, you need to make sure that the SQL Server Agent account has access to the MDW database if it has been configured on a remote server. To ensure this access, you can create a
SQL Server Agent proxy account and add it to the dc_proxy database role for the msdb database.
For more details, please review the following link:

  • Upload to SharePoint fails due to upload limit in webservice

    Hello everyone,
I just used an example from the web to use the copy.asmx webservice to upload files to a document library:
    http://www.ktskumar.com/blog/2009/03/upload-document-from-local-machine-to-sharepoint-library/
It works fine but only if the file is very small (<1MB). If it is larger I get the error "underlying connection was closed". A first search shows that it seems to be a problem with the messagesize which has to be changed. However, everywhere
in the web they speak about a setting in the web.config
Well in my project there is no web.config because I used the example in the link above. No is there another way to change the message size (e.g. by code)?
    Thanks!!
    Best,
    Chris

from browser, it will upload file using server object model. you can change the upload size for same in CA.
as far as uploading file programatically using service, you can run the below script on server and it will resolve the issue
    $ws = [Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPWebService]::ContentService
    $ws.ClientRequestServiceSettings.MaxReceivedMessageSize = 262144000
    $ws.ClientRequestServiceSettings.MaxParseMessageSize = 262144000
    $ws.Update()
    Note: 262144000 = 250 MB

  • HT4914 Does the music upload limit of 25 000 songs to iCloud is aside of the 6gig limit offered by iCloud for stocking/saving data or is it the same? Will I have to pay for an storage limit update for iCloud because I take iTunes Match?

And will I have to pay for an update storage limit for iCloud because I take iTunes Match?

No, your iCloud storage is seperate. I have 42GB of music in my itunes match account and I still have almost all of the 5GB of storage space free. You only have to pay for itunes match once and as long as you don't have more than 25,000 songs in your itunes, you are good to go.
