Upload Material Master using LSMW BAPI BUS1001006-SaveData

Hi Gurus,
I'm working with material master upload using the BAPI BUS1001006-SaveData.
I'm wondering on how can I know what structure should I populate on step 4 of LSMW "Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules".
Seen some tutorials on material master upload but it wasn't explained there why or what structure should be populated..

I just check each structure one by one to which the field is appropriate depending on its description....

    i have uploaded  Material Master through LSMW but unfortunetly Matreials are not saved in system.

    Check first with one record you are able to create the material Manually by using tcode MM01.
    Or Rerun the batch Input in Foreground mode so that you can see the error or whether Materila no is created
    I do not think so any test mode in Batch Input session.
    Check the Log in SM35 for your session if you have any error messages.

  • Uploading subcontracting PO using LSMW-BAPI method

    I am trying to upload the subcontracting Purchase order using LSMW-BAPI .
    Bapi name -Create from Data1
    Business Object  -    BUS2012                             Purchase Order
    Method               -    CREATEFROMDATA1          Create Enjoy Purchase Ord
    Message Type     -    PORDCR1                           Create Purchase Order
    Basic Type          -    PORDCR102                        Create Purchase Order
    In this BAPI - for subcontracting material (component), required quantity & plant values are provided in a input file .
    When I trying to upload this PO, PO gets created but component data not getting uploaded.
    In documentation of BAPI -under restriction section -there is a restriction for subcontracting.
    So can we create Subcontracting PO using this PO.
    any solution on same.
    Because most of the conversion part is done. Only for subcontracting PO this bapi is not working.
    Please anybody know about the solution guide me ASAP.

    Normal GR its working but for Subcontracting PO its not working.

  • How to upload material master using BAPI

    I have a flat file with 3 fields MATNR,MAKTX,MEINS and I want to create material master with 2 views basic data1 & basic data2 with three fields using BAPI
    Can anyone tell me how to do this only using three fields and 2 views
    and also i want to know what is the exact difference between session call transaction BAPI and LSWM methods.

    There is an AFS BAPI that can be used for material master update. I don't remember it, I'll provide you tomorow whith the function module you need. You can also find it in the BAPI repository. Go to transaction code BAPI and select object AFSMaterial, then you should see a method called "AFSMaterialMasterCreation", the coresponding FM will be displayed.

    I am  using the BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA to update material master, I am trying to set the deletion flag to EAN code in the Basic data>>Additonal Data view.
    I am setting the deletion flag in the internal table for table bapi_mean. After running the bapi, the EAN code is not deleted.

          In LSMW there are four method to migrate data.Idoc is one such method.You need to define three thing message type,
    Basic type,enhancement and a check box for enable structure for EDI.Once you complete this ,it ready to transfer.Before that you need to go through 12 basic steps.

    i have to upload long text in purchase order text with length more then 132 char. (approx 700 char long text). and i have text file in which long text is maintained in a single row. then how can i do it without formating text file or anyother possible solution.

    I certainly do not use SCAT or SECATT to load master data, especially not material master.
    A material master has  dynamic screens, based on the material type the view selection will be different, based on entries made in MRP view fields become hidden or mandatory. Such things canot be done with a static recording.
    SAP provides batch input programs and BAPIs for material master load and additonally loading per IDOC in LSMW (which offers as well batch input and Bapi methods)

    I'm using LSMW direct input method (RMDATIND) to upload material master. However, I'm having issues on uploading material prices (eg: moving average price) where the format uploaded was incorrect.
    LSWM Data Source I've declared for VERPR (Moving Average Price) is character with 14 Length size. Values populated in upload file is eg: 132.93.
    The value been created in material master is-> 13  293,00.
    Can anyone advise on this issues? Is there any wrong to input value or data source declaration? Thanks.

    I am using Batch input recording method to upload material master data. But while selecting views , I need to scroll to select the vies lets say Plant storage loc view. While scrolling and selecting ,views are not recorded propelry . That is when I run in foreground system selects only basic data and purchasing views but the plant data views are not selected(palnt data views are selected by scrolling while recording).
    How to resolve this issue.
