Upload new member in the dimension not from BPC Admin
Hi Experts,
If we want to upload a new account not from of BPC admin, how we can do it?
I tried to do it in MS version and was able to do it, as we have a dimension files in excel format (other than the temporary excel file ), we can add member in that excel file and run the Dimension process without selecting the "from member sheet". And it includes the new member.
But in Netweaver version if we do same thing in the xml file of that dimension and try to process, it doesn't take the new member which was added in the xml file.. Any idea ..

Hi Ishita,
Can you try using Data Manager to load master data? I know that is too much trouble if you want to load say just 1 record but it is a clean option that does not require BPC Admin.

This kind of error indicates faulty dimension formulas. There must be at least 2 formulas referencing each other. For example:
1. A=B+C
2. C=A*D
The above 2 formulas are dependent on each other. On one hand, you need C to calculate A. On the other hand, you need A to calculate C. So, causing a cross reference. Try to remove all the dimension formulas in your account dimension and process it. See, if its successful or not. If yes, then the formula was the definite reason. Now, try to add the formula one by one, till you get the error.

Many users have lost photos while preforming a restore from backup or upgrading the iOS. Recall, only photos in the camera roll are backed up to iCloud. There is a way to turn backups for camera roll on/off, perhaps these users had camera roll turned off.
Although the current devices don't have the photos, the following is advice for the future:
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage, tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned on.
IMPORTANT...
Photos should be regularly synced to a computer (like you store photos from a digital camera) using either USB via iTunes (on a mac use iPhoto or Aperture to move them to an album) or using photo stream. If you have been doing that, then you can sync those photos back to your device.
If you haven't been saving photos except relying on iCloud to store them in a backup, then that is risky, as many users have discovered. I'm afraid I have no advice in this case - there is no "cure". -

Object Variable or With block Variable not set-not from Excel but from BPC Admin.
I searched the form and all posting/solutions talk about this error appearing from Excel. In my case it happens for BPC Admin - when I try to maintain dimension members. I tried uninstalling and re-installing BPC client few times, processed all dimensions and tried pretty much all solutions posted here. Nothing worked (in BPC Admin). If anybody who came across this issue and solved it,

Thanks for all your possible solutions. Here is the solution in case if you come across,
"Object Variable or With block Variable not set" error from BPC Admin (not from Excel).
Did some analysis with Basis administrator and found that there was an installation of MS Office 2010 component (not the full version. not sure how it got there since I do not have MS Office 2010) along with MS Office 2007. So,
I un-installed MS Office 2010 component, MS Office 2007 and Planning and Consolidation client.
Re-booted the laptop.
Installed MS Office 2007 first. Re-booted.
Installed Planning and Consolidation client. Re-booted.
Started Planning and Consolidation Admin client. Clicked on Maintain Dimension members for a dimension. Dimension members displayed without any errors.
Tried update, insert and delete of dimension members, worked fine.

Can not add a new member to the existing log group.
Dear all,
I just want to multiplex the online redo log to different devices for security reason. I just have one member for each group. So I want to use this command to add a new member.
alter database add logfile member '/u02/oracle/oradata/TEST/redo01.log' to ('/u01/app/oracle/oradata/TEST/redo01.log')
or
alter database add logfile member '/u02/oracle/oradata/TEST/redo01.log' to group 1.
But both commands failed with error pasted below:

Upload new phrases in the system
Hi,
We are currently upgrading from 46c to ECC604. In 46C we use a very small functionality of the dangerous goods master. Just some info for entering UN numbers, hazardous substances and user defined texts (5x). We have our own forms and print some fields from this masterrecord.
According to SAP we have run DGCONVERT to convert the texts into phrases.
- UN numbers in 46C was customizing and now they are maintained in phrases. Every key gets CUST-xxxxxxxxxx numbers, but the link with the UN number and the description of the UN number is not 1:1 anymore. You could enter an other description for the same UN number. So UN numbers is not customizing anymore, just masterdata in DGP2. Is that correct? Or can I make a direct link to the description?
- Because running the conversion report, every text (hazardous substances and user defined texts) are moved to phrases with CUST-xxxxxxxxxxx key. For us a problem because for us that key does not say anything, so probably we need to create new phrases. I have seen that there is CG3Y and CG3Z for uploading/downloading, but it expects /usr/sap/EHS_DATA/stocker/substanc.dat file for downloading. So is there an other way to upload our own phrases? so we can do a data migration from 46c to 604 without using the conversion report.
- In the tab 'printed text' of DGP2, you see the description of user defined text (UsDefTxt 1). Is there a way to change this description as this was possible in 46C.
- Is it possible not to use CUST- in for the phrases?
Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!Hi, I set my question as answered as most of my questions have been answered or we have done some things differently. I just saw an other posting directing to this one so I sum up a little what we have done.
Please take in mind that we have the EH&S module but only use a small portion of the dangerous goods master (DGP2) as in only being able to put some info in the dangerous goods master, into the delivery documents. As I experienced from all the other sites this will be a bigger issue, but for the moment this is from the upgrade part:
1) Start first with setting the enhancement switch EA-PLM in customizing, else it will not work properly. See note 1157472 as in our case the menu structure was not visible in SAP menu.
2) Starting point (for us) has been note 692664. This report describes the steps you have to make to convert your texts with reports DGCONVERT used in the dangerous goods master (like texts maintained in DGTU and DGTD , specific and user defined texts). Read carefully as it seems that you must not run DGCONVERT for the same checkbox so do this step-by-step.
3) The UN number is not customizing anymore, you would have read it in note 1157472 already. This leads to converting. But the result is that you get stupid phrases (CUST-10000000012312). As the direct link to UN number and the description has been broken, we have finally created new phrases in the format like CUST-UN1133, so that the users at least know which description is the correct one.
4) For running the DGCONVERT you maybe endup in strange errors. The main cause was that the customizing and the texts must be maintained in the old system at least with AN translation in the language you run the report. Like the tables TDG33 (with text table TDG34) and TDG66 (with text table TDG67), we did not maintain every key in a language. So no empty values allowed. When one of them is empty in that translation, program stops. So we already prepared this in the old system. This also applies for the user defined text and standard text. At least the text translation must exist (and text maintained with at least an empty line) in one language. So if you have 100 texts maintained in DE and 2 are empty, we added the 2 in the system and run the program in DE language. That should work. Hope it's clear. Else ask an abapper, that's why I know this.
5) UN number / phrases / translation. In our case we do not get content (I do not know how this works and how and why). So our content is the old SAP version. Basically we did the DGCONVERT, then found out UN number was not nice, so downloaded TDG66/67.
- First we created LSMW to create the phrases in CG11. Ask your abaper to create one where you can maintain multiple languages.
- Next we linked the phrases to the correct phrase set in LSWM with CG12 to phrase set PHRASE_SET_UN_IDENTIFIER.
- Then we did an change DGP2 LSMW. Please be aware: slow!!! As we have couple of thousands materials we have to link to the new UN phrases, the performance is slow --> 20 hrs for us. (4400 materials).
6) Basically we did the same for our user defined texts. Only SAP converts them not in the correct fields, also the user defined texts are in 1 phrase set available (SAP_EHS_1022_042_TEXT). We have 5 user defined fields, and to be able to print correctly we have created 5 new phrase sets SAP_EHS_1022_042_TEXT_1 until SAP_EHS_1022_042_TEXT_5. Put the correct values in the phrase sets and then did a fresh change of masterdata DGP2 into the correct fields. In CGAB transaction you can change the phrase set to a new one (see note 632534 and look at the part: important information). In our case we linked in DGTM2:

7) As the conversion from 46C to 6.04 with DGCONVERT also created phrase sets for UN we actually did not want, it seems that the big amount of phrases in the phrase set is therefore slow, see point 5. So we deleted these, but also take into mind, with LSMW delete a phrase is also slow. So we think of the option not to convert this with DGCONVERT so we just do a fresh upload and link. Maybe this is faster. Currently busy with this.
8) During testing creating phrases, if you delete a phrase and create a new one with the same name SAP will give message. Run program RC1PHDEL to actual delete this from the database. See also note 1043546.
After this, we finally have everything back as we wanted and now we are able to print the data (with new selections on phrases) on our forms.

Current Firefox versions have a feature called tear-off tabs.<br />
You can detach a tab from the current window and open it in a new window by dragging a tab in the browser window.<br />
You can drag that tab back to the tab bar in the original window to undo that detaching.

Changes in the Dimensions not reflected in the Current View and Excel Sheet
Hi Experts,
We're using BPC MS Platform Version 7.0.112 and we're having problems. When we make changes in the dimension members like adding members or making changes in the hierarchy or groupings, it takes time for the changes to reflect in current view or in the excel sheet. After full processing of the dimension we can see the changes we've made when we reopen the dimension member but when we try to use the member we've added in the template, it's not yet in the current view. I've already tried, full processing of all the dimensions, processing application and reassigning aql index, refresh dimension members and yet the changes we've made doesnt appear in the current view. And what's odd is that sometimes the changes we've made would appear after a day or two or nothing at all.
What could be possibly causing this issue?

Thanks for your response, I'm just wondering whats causing this? We never had this issue on older versions of BPC though, so it would really help if we would know the cause of this. Basicaly when do changes in a dimension, after processing (Full Process, System Offline and Process through member sheet), we just had to set the AppSet status to available and refresh the dimension members in Excel and all the changes would already be visible.

1.Type dsa.msc in run command of IT session(we using it to connect remote desktop).
2. Select the domain & right click (EX:-corp.ds.xxyyzz.com) and select "Find" to find the user form the domain.
3. Type the user name in the Name field and click on "Find Now" button user name will be displayed in search result.
4. Double click on this user ID and select "Member Of" tab.
5. Select any member of group from the Name section then click on "Remove" button.
6. Finally click on "Apply" and "OK" button.
Kindly help me out to do this by using vb script.

Cant upload new extension to the Exchange
I am trying to upload some new extensions to the the Exchange
and I am receiving the following error:

I have tried using Firefox and IE and both report the same
