Upload of content in CCM2

Hi guys,
I need to upload content in CCM2 (products/contracts) via a CSV-file (we don not use XI).
Im a bit confused about how to do this.
As I recall, In the Procurement and Master Catalogs it is not possible to upload content (just Schemas).
In what catalog type do I have to upload content and how do I connect the content with the Purchasing and or Master Catalogs.
AS for now, we do not have content sorted by Supplier.

Permission issue uploading old content

I have an old onsite adobe connect server that I have content on.. iam trying to upload the content to a new server but keep getting error that the process cannot be completed. adobe support said that the zip file iam trying to upload contains a file with permissions from the old server and that is why I cannot upload to new server..
my question is which file contains this permissions and how do I strip it out.. iam able to take all kinds of content from the old server and upload to new server with no issues.. only a few of the zip files are giving me this error..
here is adobe supports explanation..

Regarding your udml query, you can follow the below steps ,
1.Right click the subject area in your presentation layer and select copy(ctrl+c)
2.Open a text editor and paste the udml, do find and replace,
Find - PRIVILEGES ( NONE)
Replace- PRIVILEGES ( READ)
*with the assumption that Read permission has to be granted to all presentation objects.
3.Delete the subject area from presentation layer and copy the entire content from your text editor (in step 3)
4.Right click your presentation layer and select paste.
5.Now validate the permission by clicking on Permissions on the presentation object.
Let me know if this solves the issue.

Zip file upload to content area

Has anyone tried zipping up a huge folder on the filesystem, say around a 100 files and uploaded the zip to a content ara folder? I could successfully upload the zip file but and then used the unzip link next to the uploaded content. It unzips as well, but when I click on the folder to view the unzipped files, before it could show me the 100 odd files, the server times out. I believe it is due to the number of files in a single folder. If I do the same thing with a hierarchy of folders and sub-folders containing only 10s' of files it works and displays the page to me with all links working.
I hope you must have tried this, and pls. help me and provide me an alternative.

1.If you want to transfer documents to KM,go to the folder "/documents",open its Detail dialog box.
2.Go to Settings->Properties.Click on 'Access Links' tab.
3.Copy the WebDAV url and paste it in your browser.Open your KM Folder as a Web Folder after authentication for your credentials is done.
4.Copy the folders from your file system to the server just as you would copy folders in Windows File System.
Also transfering of contents using WebDav only transfers the content,metadata is lost in the process

Installing XI sp14, unable to upload XI CONTENT SAP_BASIS file

Installing XI sp14, as part of upload XI CONTENT SAP_BASIS file (XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_14_00.tpz),
1. copied this tpz file to directory E:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import
2. Choose Integration Repository (Design).
3. Choose u00A8 Tools u00A8 Import Design Objects
But this does not show any files to import.
we follwed the same process with SP13 and it used to work.

Automatic upload of content area items from the O/S

I wish to automate the upload of content area items into the portal. Can this be done via the PDK or otherwise?
I have a number of PDF and HTML reports that get generated and placed into a physical directory on the server. I want all these files from a specific directory to be uploaded as items into the portal automatically so that users can view the reports with appropriate security. The reports can be modified so that when run they insert a record into a custom table to store their path and file names. This can be used by a custom procedure to point to the files at the point of upload.
However, can this upload actually be done?
Any ideas on how to do this would be useful.

Physical path on the database server.
Using the api to upload is easy as long as you provide the content-area id, folder-id, display-name, item-type (PORTAL30.WWSBR_API.ITEM_TYPE_FILE), content-area type id (PORTAL30.WWSBR_API.SHARED_OBJECTS), folder-region-id (whatever it is for Regular Items, you'll find it in wwsbr_all_folder_regions) and the physical file-name.

Uploading Scorm content to Blackboard

Hi,
I've been using captivate for a couple of years mainly writing software demonstrations.
I am currently trying to combine my demo's with my institutes LMS; Blackboard, we are just making the upgrade from 8 to 9.
The problem i am encountering is that the uploaded Scorm packages will not play/open. The upload sequence is successful but when i click on the link it opens a new window (a scorm player) but nothing loads.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I am fairly certain its a BB administration thing thats getting in the way.
We are moving to BB9 this summer and I have been working with a non-live version (in preparation).
I tried to upload the content to a new shell on the current system (BB8?), and guess what....it plays! Hurray.
Unfortunately I can get no help from central services to integrate this with grade centre (I guess they're too busy preparing for the move to BB9).
I've reported the problem with BB9 to our central services who have passed it on to BB helpdesk. Fingers cross they'll have it sorted soon!
If you have time I would like to know if you can upload the content and get it to work with grade centre on BB9 so I know I have the captivate end of things tied up, this will mean I can carry on creating content while the problem exists and be ready to upload as soon as its resolved.

Power Point uploaded to Content Library is losing text

Power Points (pre-2007) are losing bulleted text when uploaded to the content library, i.e., bulleted text is in original file, but missing within uploaded file (bullet is still present, just text missing). Am I missing something obvious?

I have come across the same issue today and was wondering the same thing...What is wrong? And I am using Microsoft 2007.

Upload blob content

Hi all,
I am facing an issue, while inserting blob content into database.
I am having a table(table1) with following column cat(char) PK,upload blob,mimetype varchar(1000),filetype varchar(1000)
For inserting values into DB(table1) i am using the following process, here it works fine

But, when i tried to have ID(number PK) in table1 with above process, i am not able to insert values. While creating process it throws following error.

If I understand correctly, your table UPLOAD column format is number and you try insert BLOB to it.

Limited File size uploaded to Content Area

Is it possible to limit the file uploaded as an item in the content area/folder ?

Its a benign error. It has to do with flexible parameter passing. You can ignore it.
Recently I have been receiving the following error in my apache error log file...It tells me to refer to the doc for ways around this issue...I am unable to locate any doc on this issue. I have looked in the iAS plsql doc as well. Now this comes and goes as well. For the most part clients can upload files successfully, but once and a while this error occurs. The error causes the 404 error in the browser

Employee Photo upload vs Content Repository

1. What are the different circumstances we use different Document Area and Storage Type for Uploading Photos in SAP?
2. Is ther any space constraint and performance issues in storing Photos in R/3 database?
3. What is the recommended document Area and Storage Type if I need to upload more than 50,000 photos?

Hi Dude,
1. Create a number range for SAP Archive Link :
IMG->Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP Archive Link->Basic Settings->Maintain number ranges.
Tcode OANR. Create range 01 from 0000000001 to 9999999999 without the external number flag.
2. Document type HRICOLFOTO must exist with document class JPG.
IMG->Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP Archive Link->System Settings->Maintain document types.
Table TOAVE, Tcode OAC2.
3. Document type HRICOLFOTO must be linked to object type PREL and IT0002.
IMG->Personnel Management->Personnel Administration->Tools->Optical Archiving->Set up Optical Archiving in HR.
View V_T585O, no Tcode. In all three columns there ara minuses, donu2019t put a flag in the check box.
4. Check which content repository (Archive) is linked to document type HRICOLFOTO and object type PREL.
IMG->Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP Archive Link->Basic Settings->Maintain Links.
Table TOAOM_C, Tcode OAC3
5. Create this content repository with storage type FILE archive.
IMG->Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP Archive Link->Basic Settings->Maintain content repositories.
Tcode OAC0
Storage type FILE archive can be attained by clicking on the field Storage type and clicking somewhere else in the screen with the right mouse button. Choose Possible entries and only then you get a list of all values. FILE Archive is entry number 08. Choose Version no. 0031 and Archive path something (e.g. C:\).
6. Link photo to personnel number.
Menu->Tools->Business Documents->Miscellaneous->Stored Documents. Tcode OAAD.
Click on the Create button. Business object PREL and Docyment type HRICOLFOTO. Click on create (fill in the right personnel number in the pop up and click Continue). Choose the photo (as a JPG file) from the place where it is saved (e.g. hard disk). SAP will notify that the Stored Document was created succesfully. Photo is visible via PA10, PA20, PA30, PA40. Double-click to magnify photo.
To delete archived document :
Tcode OAAD, click Find. In docyment type field select HRICOLFOTO and after execute you get a list of all documents. Select appropriate document and click on delete icon.
Don't forget to adjust IT0002 header!!!!
Please also see SAP Note 488281. Here's some of what it says:
1. The pictures (.jpg or .bmp) must be available on your PC.
2. Start transaction OAAD.
3. Choose function 'documents -> create'
4. Choose as business object 'PREL' and as document type 'HRICOLFOTO'
5. Push the create button
6. Fill in the appropriate personnel number
This solution requires SAP Archivelink to be installed.
Use SICF tcode that displays lot of services. Under sap --> bc there is a service called content server interface. Activate this service.
Now Create the A2 repository with TCode OAC0.
While creating the repository, keep the Document Area blank, Storage type as R/3 database, Rep. Sub-type will appear as Normal by default, Version No. as 0046 and in Contents table put 'SDOKCONT1' as the table name.
This will set the config part. Now upload the picture using tcode OAAD.
