Upload Originals using "BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN2"

Hi Friends
Here is scenario.
This DIR is created for the reports that are created in SAP EHS which uses SAP DMS framework to store the reports for Specifications in SAP DMS
The Document Type is "SBR" and originals are stored in SAP_SYSTEM" as shown below.
Presently there is requirement of uploading files to this DIR. In screenshot you are seeing file uploaded. But we are creating DIR without original.
SO we are trying to use "BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN2" for this purpose.
We are facing issues as we are not able to upload the original. I am maintaining the following parameters in BAPI.
Am I missing here something. Also do we have to use the "BAPI_DOCUMENT_SETCOMMITMODE" to uplaod the original.
I tried but this is not helping. Can anyone help us.
With Warm Regards
Mangesh Pande

Hi Mangesh,
Seems, you missed Data Carrier. Please check with Data Carrier value.
And You may have to maintain the Data Carrier as "S1 (SAP SYSTEM)" and Workstation application config in DMS.
Please maintain your settings like below screen shot:
Workstation application config:
There is an SAP note for the same. Will send you the note once get it.
Hope it will resolve your issue.
Thanks,
Ravi

    I am uploading receipts using the PURCHASE_ORDER_RECEIPT EIP.  When I upload serialized assets each one is processed as a separate receipt (receiver_id). How can I have these all aggregated on the same receipt?
    Is there a parameter I should be using in the XML or is there a setting in Peoplesoft that will accomplish this?

    Unfortunately however, even with the TCP tweaks enabled, I still only get a little over 1 Gb/s through the two aggregated Gig ports. It seems as though the aggregation is only using one port, though MRTG graphs of the two switch ports do in fact show that they are both being utilized equally, essentially splitting the 1 Gb/s speed between
    the two ports.
    Problem with the server? switch? Aggregation software? All the above? At any rate, I seem to be missing something.. Any help regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated!If you're only running a single stream, that's all you'll see. Teaming/aggregating doesn't make one stream go faster.
    If you ran two streams simultaneously, then you should see a difference between a single 1G interface and an aggregate of two 1G interfaces.

  • Error while  uploading stock using Mb1c and migo

    Hi
    Following error is showing,while  uploading stock using Mb1c and migo
    Return code 8 is not permitted with BAdI 'FAGL_PERIOD_CHECK'
    Can anyone help me?/
    Thanks

    Hi
    You will need the help of an abaper in solving this , as a BAdi FAGL_PERIOD_CHECK - Posting Period Check has been activated.
    Please check the implementation of the BAdi , i feel that it has not been implemented properly.
    This Business Add-In (BAdI) enables you to extend the existing check of open posting periods.
    The result of the period check is provided to you as a parameter (CH_SUBRC). In your implementation, you can derive this parameter again (for example, if a posting is rejected under a certain condition).
    The following values are allowed for parameter CH_SUBRC:
    0 Posting allowed
    4 Period & is not open for account type & and general ledger &
    6 No authorization for posting period & &
    This is a custome developemnt , so only the ABAper present at your end will be able to resolve it.
    Thanks & Regards

  • File upload, download using ADF UIX and not JSP

    I have examples for the file upload, download using JSP
    But I want to use ADF UIX. Look and feel in this is impressing and I want to use this. Any one have example for this.
    Users will select a file from their desktop
    This will be stored into the database (Any document. Word, Excel)
    When they query the records then the UIX column need to give a hyperlink. Clicking on the link should prompt to download the file to the local system

    Sure, I use the Apache Commons File Upload package, so that is what I will discuss here ( [Commons File Upload|http://commons.apache.org/fileupload/] ).
    The Commons File Upload uses instances of ProgressListener to receive upload progress status. So first create a simple class that implements ProgressListener:
    public class ProgressListenerImpl implements ProgressListener {
        private int percent = 0;
        public int getPercentComplete() {
            return percent;
        public void update(long pBytesRead, long pContentLength, int pItems) {
            if (pContentLength > -1) { //content length is known;
                percent = (new Long((pBytesRead / pContentLength) * 100)).intValue();
    }So in your Servlet that handles file upload you will need to create an instance of this ProgressListenerImpl, register it as a listener and store it in the session:
    ServletFileUpload upload = new ServletFileUpload();
    ProgressListenerImpl listener = new ProgressListenerImpl();
    upload.setProgressListener(listener);
    request.getSession().setAttribute("ProgressListener", listener);
    ...Now create another servlet that will retrieve the ProgressListenerImpl, get the percent complete and write it back (how you actually write it back is up to you, could be text, an XML file, a JSON object, up to you):
    ProgressListenerImpl listener = (ProgressListenerImpl) request.getSession().getAttribute("ProgressListener");
    response.getWriter().println("" + listener.getPercentComplete());
    ...Then your XMLHttpRequest object will call this second servlet and read the string returned as the percent complete.

  • Upload File using MDS WCF API

    I have a field of File Type in my Entity. How can I upload file using WCF API?
    I tried to create a new Entity Member and added the following attribute in the member attributes collection
    Attribute att = new Attribute();
    att.Identifier = new Identifier();
    att.Identifier.Name = "Image";
    att.Value = bytes;
    In attribute value I tried to pass the bytes array of an image, also tried Encoding.ASCII.GetString(bytes); as attribute value, but none of them works.
    With byte array i get the following exception "Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value 'System.Byte[]' to data type int." and in case of ASCII string i get "A database error has occurred. Contact your system administrator." error.
    There is lack of documentation and samples.
    Please let me know if someone tried it out.
    Thanks!

    You need to use the EntityMemberAttributesGet operation to retrieve the contents of a file attribute. EntityMembersGet is designed to retrieve a collection of many members and therefore it would not make sense to retrieve every file for every row retrieved.
    In contrast, EntityMemberAttributesGet is designed to work with a single member and specific attributes of that member, and it was designed to retrieve the file content.

  • Uploading documents using CFFile

    I am using CFFile for uploading documents using Cold Fusion 8
    in my Intranet environment. Each record has a limit of 20 documents
    that can be uploaded into MySQL database. It seems if I upload
    mulitple documents at around 1mb it takes less than a minute to
    complete. The problem seems to be when I upload muliptle documents
    that are bigger.
    If I attempt to upload 2 documents each over 25mb it takes
    around 10 minutes.
    Anyone have suggestions on alternatitve way to do this or
    should I just limit size of each upload to 4mb and less?

    Isn't this just a product of your internet speed and the size
    of the upload?

  • Help!!! Upload Files using Applet.

    I've built an upload application using html tag <input type="file" ...>. Both client and server's programs have been finished for a long time. However, my boss want to use applet replace html tag(due to some reasons). I want to build an applet which allow user to select multiple files and then upload. But I don't want to modify the server side program. May anyone teach me on how to upload the files which generate the page which is the same as the HTTP request? Thanks a lot.

    No. You could sign the applet for granting the permission. Could anyone tell me how to generate the http request with contents and file inside?

  • Best approach for uploading document using custom web part-Client OM or REST API

    Hi,
     Am using my custom upload Visual web part for uploading documents in my document library with a lot of metadata.
    This columns contain single line of text, dropdownlist, lookup columns and managed metadata columns[taxonomy] also.
    so, would like to know which is the best approach for uploading.
    curretnly I am  trying to use the traditional SSOM, server oject model.Would like to know which is the best approach for uploading files into doclibs.
    I am having hundreds of sub sites with 30+ doc libs within those sub sites. Currently  its taking few minutes to upload the  files in my dev env. am just wondering, what would happen if  the no of subsites reaches hundred!
    am looking from the performance perspective.
    my thought process is :
    1) Implement Client OM
    2) REST API
    Has anyone tried these approaches before, and which approach provides better  performance.
    if anyone has sample source code or links, pls provide the same
    and if there any restrictions on the size of the file  uploaded?
    any suggestions are appreciated!
