Upload PDF Files via Drag n Drop in OAWD

Hi All,
We have a requirement to Enable Financial Services OAWD workflow inboxes to accept PDF invoice files via u2018Drag & Dropu2019 functionality. The current configuration only allows TIFF and FAX invoice files to be loaded by u2018Drag & Dropu2019.
So can anubody tell me the steps to modify these inboxes to accept PDF files , currently they accept only TIFF and FAX Files.
Thanks & Regards,
Loveena.

1. The screen on the mini is less than an inch larger than the Nexus. Not sure if that's what you are looking for.
2.  Transferring files is as it has always been: through iTunes.   Music files must be synced using iTunes and can only be played in the Music App.
3. For transfer of other types of files you can use either iTunes Sharing or a 3rd party App that supports other means of sending files.
iOS: About File Sharing
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4094
You'll need an App that can handle the type of file you want to transfer.
Due to the way the file system is on an iPad direct drag and drop is not possible.  The iPad unliike android OS has no file system that is user accessible, as such all files must be associated with an App, and recide within that app's closed off file area.
This is the main reason there are no viruses on an iPad.

  • Unable to upload a file with Drag and Drop and http

    Hello,
I am trying to upload a file through the web interface (Netscape 4.7 and IE 5.0). When I click un upload, Via Drag and Drop, a new window is started, but never completes.
With Netscape, I get a message box: Netscape is unable to locate the server null. Please check the server name and try again.
With IE 5, I get an error: This page can not be displayed.
Are there any files I need to edit on the PC side to get this to work?
    Thanks
    Scott
PS I think you guys are doing a great job with support on iFS.

WebUI Drag & Drop requires FTP to be running and available.
Drag & Drop is really just uses the browser built in FTP ability.

  • Start Workflow when Upload File using drag and drop

    Hi,
I am working with SharePoint 2013.
I have a workflow needed to be started and run only once after a document is uploaded into the document library. The document library has
required custom columns with default values. If I set workflow starting option as 'On Created', when user got redirected to the edit form and click 'Save', there would be error as
"The <filename> has been modified by <user> on <datetime>". Besides the unwanted error dialog, the metadata entered by users are not reflected. I understand the issue is because the workflow had already started before
the edit form showed and it modified the file.
So I changed the starting option to 'On Changed", created an additional column to record if the workflow has been run or not to avoid running the whole workflow more than once. This works fine for normal upload. However on drag and drop, the
event 'On Changed' is not triggered and the workflow is not started. I checked the version of the file but in both normal upload and drag and drop, there is another version after the first version. But
only the version of normal upload triggers the workflow.
I read an article about some Mode = Upload on the edit form.
    https://go4answers.webhost4life.com/Example/workflow-triggered-during-upload-user-149297.aspx
It seems that the Mode = Upload is not there anymore for normal upload, but it's still there for drag and drop. Not sure about this
Is there a solution for my case. Basically I want to start the workflow only once when the document is uploaded normally or via drag and drop. For normal upload, user can
edit the custom metadata right after they browse the file. For drag and drop, the
metadata will be set as default values.
    Thank you.

I'm still researching your issue, but as an interesting note... This is an issue only when I use a 2013 style workflow. I do not get the error when using a 2010 style workflow.

  • Error Encountered while uploading HTML, PDF files via WEBUI and IFS API

    Hello:
We have suddenly run into problems while using IFS to upload files. We cannot seem to upload html and pdf files using either the WEBUI or Oracle's IFS API. However we are able to add .gif, jpeg files both via the WEBUI and Oracles IFS API's
This is the error we get while trying to upload .html files via the WEBUI
IFS-30002: Unable to create new Library Object.
This is the stack trace we get when we try creating content objects via IFS API's. We can't seem to understand why something that used to work has suddenly quit working.
Does this have anything to do with running out of space requirements in the table spaces?

  • How to batch upload PDF files into database BLOB

    Hello.
I have a requirement to batch upload PDF files into BLOB column of an Oracle 8.1.7 table from Forms 6i Web. The content of the blob column (ie. the PDF content) MUST be displayable from all client software (eg. Oracle Web forms, HTML forms, etc.)
    Our environment is
    Middle-tier is 9iAS on Windows/2000
Database is Oracle 8.1.7.0.0 on VMS
Oracle Web Forms 6i Patch 10
Basically my Oracle web form program will display a list of PDF files to upload and then the user can click on the &lt;Upload&gt; button to do the batch upload. I have experimented the following approaches but with no luck.
    1. READ_IMAGE_FILE forms built-in = does NOT work because it cannot read PDF file. I got error FRM-47100: Cannot read image file
    2. OCX and OLE form item = cannot use this because it does NOT work on the Web. I got error FRM-41344 OLE object not defined
    3. I cannot use DBMS_LOB to do the load because the PDF files are not in the database machine.
    4. Metalink Note 1682771.1 (How to upload binary documents back to database blob column from forms). When I used this, I got ORA-6502 during the hextoraw conversion. In using this solution, I have downloaded a bin2hex.exe from the Google site. I've noticed that when I looked at the converted HEX file, each line has the character : (colon) at the beginning of each line. I know the PDF file has been converted correctly to HEX format because when I convert the HEX file back to BIN format using hex2bin.exe, I'm able to display the converted bin file in Acrobat Reader. When I removed the : (colon) in the HEX file, I did NOT get the ORA-6502 error but I CANNOT display the file in Acrobat Reader. It gives an error "corrupted file".
    5. upload facility in PL/SQL Web toolkit - I tried to automatically submit the html form (with htp.p) but it does NOT load the contents of the file. I called the URL from Oracle forms using web.show_document. There seems to be issues with Oracle Web forms (JInitiator) and HTML (+ htp.p).
The other options I can think of at this point are:
    1. Use SQL*Loader to do the batch upload via SQL*Net connection and use HOST() built-in from Oracle Webforms to execute SQL*Loader from the 9iAS.
    2. Write a Visual Basic program that reads a binary file and output the contents of the file into a byte array. Then build a DLL that can be called from Oracle webforms 6i via ORA_FFI. I don't prefer this because it means the solution will only work for Windows.
    3. Write a JSP program that streams the PDF file and insert the contents of the PDF file into blob column via JDBC. Call JSP from forms using web.show_document. With this I have to do another connection to the database when I load the file.
    4. Maybe I can use dbms_lob by using network file system (NFS) between the application server and VMS. But this will be network resource hungry as far as I know because the network connection has to be kept open.
    Please advise. Thank you.
    Regards,
    Armando

I have downloaded a bin2hex.exe from the Google site.
... each line has the character : (colon) at the
beginning of each line. I'm afraid it isn't a correct utility. I hope you'll find the source code of a correct one at metalink forum:
    Doc ID: 368771.996
    Type: Forum
Subject: Uploading Binary Files: bin2hex and hex2bin do not reproduce the same file
There is some links to metalink notes and some example about working with BLOB at http://www.tigralen.spb.ru/oracle/blob/index.htm. Maybe it helps. Sorry for my English. If there is any problem with code provided there, let me know by e-mail.

  • How to send a pdf file via http call

    Hi Experts,
Please try to think on how you would send a file like a pdf file via the http call. You might need to convert the pdf in a character string which can be sent via http. The character string then might need to  get converted back into a pdf and saved in a file. Read through the Archive Link API guide to see how they send the body of a file.
    Please it is urgent......
    Thanks
    Basu

so you want to push the PDF file over http to external system.
    where is pdf file stored.
for examle if its in the clients desktop, you can use gui_upload to upload to internal tabble (type BIN) then use FM SCMS_BINARY_TO_XSTRING to conver the binary table to type string.
then use cl_http_client class to push the file to the destination.

  • I have a problem with uploading pdf files. This was raised in April by Mariano and the solution given - but the link to the solution does not work. How do I get to the solution?

I have just come across this problem uploading pdf files on FF 3.6. Mariano posted this same problem on 5 Apr ( I found his post after a Google search as a search of this Forum gave no result). It is shown as "solved" but when I click on the Show Solution link it just loops back to the question.
How do I get to see the solution?

The following line tells me that this is not a template file, but a document created from a template called index.dwt
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><!-- InstanceBegin template="/Templates/index.dwt" codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->
This means that you saved a child document as a template file at some stage.
If you go to Modify->Templates->Detach from Template, you can remove the template structure from your document. All you then need to do is to re-save the document as a template.

  • Visual Studio 2013. Viewing a PDF file via the Web Browser control in Windows 8.1

I am writing a Windows Forms application in which I need to view PDF files via the Web Browser control. When the control is given the Navigate() command, Windows takes over and asks which program I want to open the file with. All was fine with VS 2010 and

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mike,
It seems that we could use Internet Explorer to open a local .PDF file if it has the Adobe Reader. I doubt that the web control would be related to it. Like the MVP's suggset in the following thread, maybe it would be related
to certain plug-in tools in your side like the adober reader.
