Upload photo
Hi,
i meet a problem when i upload photo.
the parameter i used are as follows:
business obj: PREL
doc type: HRICOLFOTO
personal num: 00028030
infotype: 0002
photo type: .JPG
the system poped a warning message "HTTP error: 401 Unauthorized".
btw: my user have the profiles with SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW.
please help me.
Hi
U can follow the following steps.
Configuring Employee Photos
Create Number Range
A number range must be created for SAP Archive Link.
Transaction code: OANR
For this process, additional authorisation is required for S_NUMBER = 03 ARCHIVELNK.
In Intervals, create number range 01 from 0000000001 to 9999999999 without the external number flag.
This is likely to already exist.
Assign Documents Class
Document type HRICOLFOTO must exist with document class JPG.
Transaction code: OAC2
Table TOAVE
Document type settings
Document type HRICOLFOTO must be linked to object type PREL and Infotype 0002.
Transaction code: SM31
Table V_T585O (View)
Set all three columns here to minuses and don't put a flag in the check box.
Content Repository
Create a content repository with storage type FILE archive.
Transaction code OAC0
IMG: Basis Components --> Basis Services --> SAP Archive Link --> Basic Settings --> Maintain content repositories
Swap from display to amend. Select a current entry and copy or just hit create. Then select .
Then fill in the details as below:
Choose a two character name can use Zx (where x is a number) if you wish to use the customer namespace
Choose the relevant description
Set DocArea to be Archive Link
Storage type set to R/3 Database
Protocol leave blank
Choose Version no. 0046 (or the latest one that is available)
Contents table set this to SDOKCONT1
Basic Path c:\ (this should be set to where the photos are all held)
Archive Path c:\ (this is the area from where the photos are retrieved)
Output Device can leave blank
Enter the path name where the photos are to be loaded from. Note this is for loading only. When the photos are linked into the sap system (see later), actually, SAP takes a copy and stores it elsewhere. The path may only need to be entered to Arch.path, but entering to all three doesnt seem to hurt.
Maintain the required Basis Service
Transaction code: SICF
Here you activate the Content Server Interface.
First you need to create a user profile with sufficient authorisations to carry out the processes which are done by the system in the background. Ideally this should be a background user for a notional/dummy user. You can use your own user ID after which SAP will warn you that this is a dialogue user account. If you do use your own user ID, change it as soon as you have tested the config. Once you have finished the project, the chances are that your user account will be deleted from the system which will subsequently stop this service from working.
Double-click on content server in the left hand tree structure. You can find it under default_host --> sap --> bc --> content server
Once you have done this click on the refresh icon and make sure that the service is activated. If it is activated, the writing should be in bold (as opposed to greyed out)
Check which content repository (Archive) is linked to document type HRICOLFOTO in object type PREL
Transaction code: OAC3
Table TOAOM_C
Set the Content Repository field to the one you set up in the step above.
Note the Ret.per. field is the retention period for the photo in MONTHS. (so the default is 833 years and 3 months!)
Link photo to personnel number
Transaction code OAAD
Click on the Create Store and Assign button. Enter Business Object PREL and Document Type HRICOLFOTO. Click on create(F8).
Enter the Personnel Number of the employee you want to link the photo to. Choose also the infotype that you wish the photo to be displayed on (not sure how relevant this is. It works if you use 0002 but should also work if left blank. Suspect is only relevant if you wanted to store different photos for different infotypes)
Click on Continue.
Enter the path and filename of the photo. The dropdown will allow you to navigate to the appropriate directory.
SAP will notify that the Stored document is created successfully and you end up with something like:
<b>If you get an error 401 to do with missing authorisations, then try and redo the above step. <b>It often only happens the first time you try and load the photo.</b></b>
Manoj Shakya.

When I am first looking at my newly uploaded photos in "Library," a box appears near the bottom of the photo that says "Loading". While it is loading, I usually think the photo looks "good". After the photo is done loading, it looks more washed out. Is there some sort of setting that I might have on (or that I need to turn on) so that this does not happen. I have Lr4. Thanks.
Hi Tracy,
There used to be a way to see if poster was new to the forum.., anyway - welcome to the forum.
As I was alluding to, biggest differences in initial display are due to:
* Camera calibration profile.
* Auto-exposure/contrast settings (for which compensations have been auto-applied in camera, but not in Lightroom).
So, choose a matching camera calibration profile (whether that's an option or not depends on your camera model - they're available for many but not all models) if you prefer one of them over "Adobe Standard" (the factory default profile).
Also, your camera covers for underexposure due to non-optimal auto-exposure/contrast setting, Lightroom doesn't, so your options are:
* turn it off in camera.
* learn to compensate manually (or automatically via a plugin) in Lightroom.
Of course, in addition to preferred defaults (alt-click big "reset" button in dev module), come up with some presets which are appropriate for your druthers and type of photography.. e.g. these will compensate Nikon ADL settings:

I am trying to upload photos from my digital camera. Every time I try to plug it into my USB, the following error message comes up: "Because a usb device was drawing too much power from your computer, one or more of your USB devices have been disabled."
I don't have anything else plugged into my MBP, so I am confused as to what's going on. This problem has never happened before. MBP is less than a year old - about 9 months old. HELPGet a powered USB hub.

I'm a seller on eBay and very new to Mac. I just started to list an item when I got to the area of uploading pictures of an item to my listing. I cannot figure out how this is done. I downloaded pictures from my camera to iPhoto and they apear not only in my iPhoto library but in an eBay folder/album I created. When I go to upload photos I cannot find my photos in either the Library or the eBay album. I've tried using both the basic uploader and and standard uploader choices provided by eBay.
While running iPhoto you'll need to select the pictures you want to use for eBay and then select Export from the File menu. The Export Dialog box has several options and I believe the second option is File Export - that's the option you want to choose. Now you can select the picture quality, size, and export. The file selector will appear so you can indicate the folder you want the pictures to be exported into. Now you can take the next step, sending them to eBay.

I cannot upload photos from iPhoto 9 to Flikr. When I try, I get the message "the login details or auth token passed were invalid." I am using iPhoto 9 version 8.1.2, and my OS is 10.9.5. My computer is a MacBook Pro. I do not have this trouble with my iMac. This trouble started before I updated to OS10.9.5. I do not have this problem when uploading to FaceBook or sending by e-mail.
This problem started when I tried to upload some photos after hitting the "use other account" tab. This took me to a Flikr site asking me for permission to make my iPhoto information available to others. I clicked "yes," and then I changed my mind and clicked "no." I haven't been able to upload to Flikr since.
I searched Flikr and Yahoo for a solution, and Yahoo says the trouble is in iPhoto. I checked my Flikr account, and iPhoto extensions are enabled.
I need to upload some school and alumni photos, so I sure could use some help. I am Not computer proficient. Thank you.1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now? -
I am trying to upload photos from my Windows 7 desktop, and was told to go to the iCloud control panel and drag the photos into the
upload to photo stream icon. I have downloaded the contol panel several times and cannot find the icon to get this done. HELPIf you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

I recently upgraded to iphoto 11 v. 9.2 and now iphoto crashes every time I try to upload photos. I have tried to upload from my camera via usb, from my iphone, and from the memory card directly and it crashes every time. What can I do to fix this problem?
It was the folder that I trashed.
Here is the crash log from a few hours ago:

I have a G5 which I intend to keep.
Now that I have updated my iphone 4s to iOS 7.0.
I cannot add music to my iphone or upload photos to iphoto.
I have the last itunes 10.6.3. which was supported by apple.
itunes will not interact with my iphone on any level.
Apple made all the equipment I use.
Bentley and Ferrari etc do not stop making parts for their cars?
The least Apple could is.
A. Update itunes to run on a G5
Regarding iOS 7.0 you have totally lost the plot.
We buy apple why?
Quality.
Intuitive interface.
Stable software.
Design.
All that Steve Jobs consider sacrosanct.
Quality is about ongoing support longevity of product.
Its not about trying to sell to every person on the planet, others are way ahead of you.
So try respective the customers you have, it wont be long before theirs a better operating system and your lead in hardware is marginal.

Glyn Evans
My post on facebook this morning.
If you have an iPhone or iPad do not update to ISO 7 unless you want an operating system that looks like windows 8. The graphics looks like it was designed by a artistically challenged mongoose and the operating system is not intuitive something apple users expect. Overly complicated ugly and generally change for the sake of apples paranoia since the death of Steve Jobs. You need to update iTunes to 11.1 on your PC

How do i upload photo's from my computer to my itunes?
I have an iPod Nano (the type with a video camera)
Software Version: 1.0.2
Capacity: 14.88
My friend has the same iPod and she has uploaded photos into a photo album on her iPod, but she can't remember how she did it!
I want to do the same, but i am unsure how!
Please help.I agree with planb77.
Try this:
-make a new folder on your desktop called sync to ipod.
-copy your photos into that folder
In iTunes when your iPod is connected click on it under devices on the left.
This opens the summary
-click the photo tab at the top
-make sure there is a check next to sync photos
-in the drop down section select choose folder, this opens a new window
-navigate to your desktop and click on your sync to ipod folder
-click choose folder or ok on the bottom right
-click apply then sync on the bottom right.
That will get them on the iPod.
Now when you want to add or remove photos from your ipod, just change the contents of the folder on your desktop and sync through the photos tab again.
Hope this helps.

When i try to upload photos from my iphone iphoto freezes after a few have been uploaded, force quit shows that it is still running. I have left it running for days with no change. In addition Places is continually running, would this have an effect?
Help much appreciated. The next step is to repair your main library: apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I have uploaded photos from the past and they are automatically arranged by date. As a result, there are many events grouped into one library/event/folder/album (not sure of the proper terminology) I'd like to separate them into folders/albums/smart albums so that I can easily identify the contents. How do I do that and do I delete the originals?
It would be good to take the tutorials and learn iPhoto - these are for the previous version but the concepts are the same and much of the command is the same - and it would be a worthwhile investment of time to take the iphoto tutorials - http://www.apple.com/findouthow/photos/ - they are very helpful and will save you a lot of time and frustration. - also the tutorials in iPhoto Help will be helpful - while iPhoto is easy and intuitive it does have a learning curve and it will save you time and pain if you spend a few minutes learning the basics
as to organization - events are generally time based and are the basic automatic organization - you can merge and split them to make them work better for you but they are not a good way to do detailed organization - best to leave them time based
albums are logical things that contain photos and are just pointers to the photo in the event so they take no extra space and all changes to a photo anywhere are reflected everywhere
Smart albums are the same except they are automatically filled based on the criteria you set when you create them
Folders are containers that you create and a folder can contain albums, smart albums or other folders so they are a big help in organization - like a vacation folder that holds folders for France, USA, China with each of thos folders holding albums of photos from the country

How can I 're-upload' photos to iCloud Photo Library Beta?
iCloud Photo Library a beta is set up to optimise iPad storage, but when trying to clean up my photo library, and opening photos to assess quality (which isn't feasible with the reduced resolution versions stored on my iPad) the full versions have downloaded and wiped out the storage capacity on my ipad! I need to revert to to the 'minimised' version, but can't see how to do this. Any help appreciated!
Are you really in a hurry to move your photos?
iCloud Photo Library is still a beta version. (See: iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ) The Mac part has not yet been released, but all be available early next year. We do not know yet, what the Mac part of iCloud Photo Library will be like. The Photos.app for Mac will be able to upload to iCloud Photo Library. If you simply wait till early next year, it will be the easiest transit. Then you will be able to migrate iPhoto Libraries and Aperture Libraries to Photos and store the photos in iCloud.
Right now, only iPad, iPhones, iPod Touches can upload to iCloud Photo Library Beta. And if you enable iCloud Photo Library Beta on your mobile devices, the usual ways to upload photos from your Mac will be disabled. It will no longer be possible to sync photos with iTunes, and you cannot upload using My Photo Stream. You would have to mail the photos to your mobile devices to upload them to iCloud Photo Library Beta or use Dropbox or similar. -

How do I upload photos from my PC to my ipad without deleting the photos already on my ipad?
How do I upload photos from my PC to my ipad without deleting the photos already on my ipad???
The iTUnes sync syncs the contents of a folder you choose. ANd it handles only one folder at a time.
What I did to keep things straight, was to make a separate folder inside the 'my photos' part of my computer. Then put in that folder copies of things I wanted on my iPad. I could then add/remove from that folder as the mood struck and since everything in there was a copy I wouldn't lose any. (you would add/remove from the folder, then do a sync to allow iTunes to update that folder on your iPad to match the folder on your PC)
Another way, to get away from maintaining a folder, if you don't have a ton of photos, just e-mail them to yourself, save them from that e-mail. Keep them on the iPad as long as you like, then you can delete them as you wish. Photos that are synced onto the iPad must be synced off (as in removed from that folder then a sync performed to remove them)
E-mailing the photos to yourself gives you more flexibility in managing them on the iPad. -
