Upload pics to one folder

ok guys and girls: i need to knw how to upload my pics to 1event. example: if i upload 5pics to my mac pc, then upload 10pics 10min later, how come it automatically seperates the pics/event? then when i create a new folder to paste them all in, it wont let me due to the fact that they have the same # pic1jpg ...

Each import stands alone and events for each import are processed according to your settings in the iPhoto preferences
You can not import photos into an existing event
You can easily merge events after importing

  • My ipad 2 under photos/ photo stream put all my pics in one folder. Now when I pull up photo stream I have to tap pic and then it opens all my pics. It use to not do that.

    Hello Patrick1000,
    This is expected behavior when you have "Shared Photo Streams" turned on. With Shared Photo Streams, you are able to create separate Photo Streams to share with others (notice the "+" at top left corner). If you wish to disabled this feature, please see below:
    iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4486
    On your iOS devices, go to Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and turn off My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams.
    Thanks,

  • Move files from one folder to another

    I am brand new to the application and have spent a ton of time googling various topics, but need some additional help. Seems easy enough, but I can't figure out how to do it...
    I would like to move pics from one folder to another. I can drag files from one folder to another, but they still reside in the original folder as well. Is there a way to cut and paste or a similar function to accomplish this move?
    Thanks.

    Hey, HawaiianHaole, as a multidecade Mac user, let me tell you, Aperture is about the worst example of Mac-iness one could imagine. Ironic, as it's (of course) made by Apple. But it is so inflexible, and insists so vociferously on making the user learn its peculiar interface conventions it reminds me most of something out of that famous company in Redmond.
    Want your Projects in an order you choose? Sorry! Want to arrange your windows so you can see your list of chat buddies while you're working in Aperture? Nope, can't do it! Aging eyes have trouble reading tiny grey type on a grey background? Hey buddy, it was your choice to grow old, don't blame us!
    But all is not lost. Aperture has gotten considerably better of late (versions up to 2.0 were fundamentally unusable in many ways) and will hopefully continue to improve. (ie Maybe they'll fix the printing thing...)
    Please don't make Aperture the basis for your judgement of the Mac OS. Many long time Mac users are having as much trouble with Aperture as you. Mac OSX has significantly reduced customizability but at the benefit of much improved stability and indeed usability. Old school Mac users had to learn to accept this, which most did. You'll hear people talk about the "Way of the Steve". As irksome as Aperture can be, you'll actually have a better time of it if you adopt the Way of the Steve, and accept that you can't do things the way you might want to. This is imho antithetical to the original Mac many of us knew and loved, but it's the way things are today, so we mostly shut up and take it. You can fight with your software all day, or just accept that there are ways you have to adopt and adapt to them.
    Welcome to the Bright Side, hope your Mac experience improves.

    Hi satishsuri ,
    You will have to use 3 methods together :
    CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>directory_browse "Browse the Directory
    CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>directory_list_files "Get all the files from the directory
    CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload "Upload each file in a loop
    Example:
    TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_data,
             line TYPE string,
          END OF ty_data.
    DATA: str_file TYPE string,
          str_dir TYPE string,
          it_file_table TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF file_info,
          wa_file_table TYPE file_info,
          v_count TYPE i,
          it_data TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF ty_data,
          wa_data TYPE ty_data.
    CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>directory_browse
      CHANGING
        selected_folder = str_dir.
    CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>directory_list_files
      EXPORTING
        directory  = str_dir
      CHANGING
        file_table = it_file_table
        count      = v_count.
    LOOP AT it_file_table INTO wa_file_table.
      CONCATENATE str_dir wa_file_table-filename INTO str_file SEPARATED BY '\'.
      CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload
        EXPORTING
          filename = str_file
          filetype = 'ASC'
        CHANGING
          data_tab = it_data.
      LOOP AT it_data INTO wa_data.
        WRITE : / wa_data-line.
      ENDLOOP.
      ULINE.
    ENDLOOP.

  • I recently rebuilt my iphoto 09 library and now all the pics are in one folder instead of events.  How do I get 20,000 pics back into the correct events?

    I recently rebuilt my iphoto 09 library and now all the pics are in one folder instead of events.  How do I get 20,000 pics back into the correct events?
    I have a macbook pro Version 8.1.2 and I am using Iphoto 09
    I rebuilt library because many pics were black and now they are in one folder labeled "Recovered"

    Do you have the original iPhoto Library (before you rebuilt it)?
    If so, I suggest you rebuild it using iPhoto Library Manager, a program you can download. It does a better job of rebuilding. It also leaves your original intact and makes the rebuilt Library a new file (package).
    If you don't have the original (say, from a backup), then you should probably first back up the library that you have before trying anything.
    After making a backup of it, look along the left side, you will see Events and Photos. Is there anything in either of those areas?
    If not, it sounds like all your photos were recovered and put in Recovered during the rebuild. iPhoto Library Manager might do a better job with this. In any case, if there are no photos in Events or in Photos, try selecting ~ 5 photos in Recovered and drag them to Photos. Do they then show up there with the correct dates? Do they also show up in Events after doing that? I am suggesting just a few photos before you try it with 20,000.
    If the photos inside your "recovered" area are also in Photos, then don't do the above steps. I'm not sure I can help you if your 20,000 photos are in Photos but not Events. I'd try iPhoto Library Manager instead with its better rebuild.
    If the 5 photos experiment works, then I would try it with ~ 200 photos at a time, going through your entire collection. You'll need to do this about 10 times if you really have 20,000 photos. Remember, don't do this if the "recovered" photos are already in "Photos."

  • My iCloud Uploads folder on my PC - does not upload pics - why not?

    My iCloud Uploads folder on my PC Windows 7 - does not upload pics - why not? The iCould Control Panel has the correct folder listed.
    The download seems to be working - i take a pick from my iPhone - it ends up in my PC folder - (12 minutes late however).
    But putting two pics in the uploads folder - they don't move.  iPad 2 and iPhone 3GS on iOS 5
    Any ideas?

    I tried un-installing and then left the default folders this time (last time i changed it from my C to my E drive) seems to work using the Default folder.

  • KM only one folder and subject of document

    Hi portal gurus,
    I am very new to Knowledge Management. I have given an assignment of KM, where in the portal server installed on windows os. I have given a folder location to store the documents related to organisation.
    I have created a KM navigation iview and KM upload Iview for this purpose.
    The problem here is the documents should be kept in subject wise, when i use the KM upload iview i have n't given any input field for giving the subject of the file. I was given only one folder for storing documents.
    The requirement is i want a input field for giving subject of the document in KM upload iview, then the same subject should come as one column for document in KM navigation iview.
    i want how this scenario can be best achieved for giving subject for documents while upload  and showing the subject in navigation iview.
    Thanks
    prasad

    Hello Prasad,
    Have a look at this wiki, https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/KMC/CreatingandMaintainingCustomMetadataPropertiesinthemainscreenofDetailspage
    If you do a search for 'KM upload you should get several similar queries as well.
    You can then define a predefined property for entering your subject or you could just use the existing description property, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1a/9a4a3b80f2ec40aa7456bc87a94259/frameset.htm.
    After that you can specify your predefined property in the collection renderer of of the layout set used in your iview, see the collection renderer settings link on the above mentioned help page. For more information on this see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/87/41389793deac4f92696f38378e56fb/frameset.htm

  • Uploading multiple items one at a time - file view resets

    In my work, I need to upload many files, one at a time, using an interface through the browser.
    When I go to upload multiple files, one at a time, using 10.6.2, the Finder takes me back one or two levels down from the file location between uploads. In 10.4, the Finder always took me back to the folder last accessed.
    Is there a Preference, Shareware like TinkerTool, or a Terminal Command I can use so that I always go back to the folder last accessed?

    OK. Wow. I did not realize the question was so obtuse. Feel free to ask for clarification (no reason to be nasty or flame me).
    "what mechanism is being used"
    In my original post, I did say I was uploading via a browser. So I don't know if this clarifies for you or not.
    Using Firefox or Safari.
    Uploading photos, one at a time, to a website that uses the browser (rather than FTP).
    In OS 10.4.11, after each photo, I would upload a second one and the dialog box would open up to the same folder as the previous upload, greatly simplifying the process.
    In OS 10.6.3, after each photo, I would go to upload a second photo and the dialog box would open one level down, or sometimes seemingly randomly, two levels down. This requires me to navigate back to the folder with the photos which greatly increases the amount of time between each upload.
    It would be helpful if I could show photos to explain.
    I am not certain that this really clarifies my original posting. Does this make sense or do you need more info?

But they don't apear in my iPhone, i've tried reseting photo stream in iCloud.com account settings, i turned off and on photo stream on my iPhone, deleted every streamed and local photo on iPhone, but nothing works...only apear photos from Camera Roll...
    Am I forgetting something? please help...thank you

    Then I've tried to upload an existing one placing it on the "Uploads" folder, it was automaticaly copied to "My Photo Stream" folder, but still doesn't upload to my iPhone

  • Can anybody provide the SQL query to find the files uploaded in a particular folder?

    Hi All,
    Can anybody provide the SQL query to find the documents (document name) uploaded in a particular folder? While clicking on folder in
    GUI I'm hitting the Timeout error. I would like to find the files uploaded into this folder from SQLPLUS.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    With best regards,

    Nevin,
    Be great if we could know the version of Portal. For Rel. 1, here's the query
    select id,masterthingid from wwv_things
    where siteid = &site
    and cornerid = &corner
    &site - Content Area id
    &corner - Folder id
    if you don't know the folder id, use
    select id from wwv_corners where siteid = &site
    and name = &folder
    Hope this helps. I have run into this situation before. Usually, the culprits were
    one of the following:
    1. Junk Characters in description of item (caused due to Copy-Paste)
    2. Special Characters in the File name

  • Problems uploading pics to Windows (new since iOS7)

    I have an iPhone 4 and Windows 7. Before the update, I could use the windows uploader to upload pics from my phone to my computer. However, now the uploader will not start. I get an error sound, but no message. When I try to start the uploader manually through "Computer," my phone shows up as "iCloud photos" not as my phone or a camera as it used to. When I right-click the icon, I only have the options to open the file or create a shortcut.
    I didn't have iCloud activiated for pictures since I only have one wifi-enabled iOS device. Any ideas on how I can switch things back to where I can upload pics through Windows?

    Got it sorted. It was a driver problem. I tried to update, but it insisted that the driver was up-to-date. Uninstall/reinstall... now it's working like a charm.
    Feel free to delete this...

  • Photoshop freezes when I try to upload pics

    Photoshop won't let me upload pics off my camera. It was in the past (like even 2 days ago) but now it freezes to the point of having ot crtl alt del my way out of the program. i can edit photos already on my system but i can't get the new ones. I've even tried different USB cords even though my computer recognizes that my device is plugged in and that didn't help.
    grrr....what do I do?

    I live in the Mac world, so I'd say that there really are three possibilities:
    1.  Photoshop is causing the problem; or
    2.  Your camera is causing the problem; or
    3.  God is punishing you for using a Windows computer.
    When Photoshop crashes, can you download these pictures using another utility or application?  If so, it would seem to indicate that the camera is ok, and the cable, the computer, and the Windows operating system are ok.  That would narrow the problem area down to Photoshop.
