Upload process from Obiee to siebel

Hi Gurus,
I got a Requirement where I need a upload Button in the Report by clinking this button it should upload the Results into Sibel.My current
Environment is like this we have a dashboard and user selects the Values In prompts and get results in report,after this he downloads that Results into Excel and saves in system and he opens the the Sibel environment and There he uploads this Saved Excel to get all the data which is there in Excel and works on this data with in siebel.so all I want do is I want to Automate this process and Want to have a functionality like by clicking on the Upload button in Obiee Report we want that results need to uploaded automatically and should be showed in siebel..How can I achieve this in OBIEE 11g.is there any possibility in 11g.
Any suggestions/Thoughts....please provide me some docs If you have any to achieve this.

We have a Integrated Env, OBIEE integrated with Sibel and user search for list of client in OBIEE with prompts& downloads that report to excel and he goes to Sibel and uploads this Excel into Sibel and he works on that list of clients to add notes or interaction history and if required they delete some clients(we have all the setup to do this in Sibel,just we need to upload this doc).. so we are currently Manually uploading this doc,So we are looking for a solution like by clicking on a button it launches the Sibel with list of clients uploaded automatically,we want to hide the Manual process with a button..Is there any way to achieve this..Is there any functinality in new 11g to do this?..please provide your Suggestions..

HT2638 Hi, I'm running on IPhoto 09 Version 8.1.2 & recently developed a problem I have recently developed a problem. I am unable to upload photos from my iphone the process will start and maybe upload a few then it freezes.

When i try to upload photos from my iphone iphoto freezes after a few have been uploaded, force quit shows that it is still running. I have left it running for days with no change. In addition Places is continually running, would this have an effect?

The next step is to repair your main library: apply the two fixes below in order as needed:

1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.

4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

DB Connect Load - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table"

Hi Experts,
We have our BI7 system connected to Oracle DB based third party tool. The loads are performing quite well in DEV environment.
I would like to know, how we transport DB Connect datasources to Quality systems? Any different process to be followed for DB Connect datasources?
At present the connections between BI Quality and the third party quality systems are established. We transported the DataSource from BI DEV system to BI quality system, but on trigerring an infopackage we are not able to perform loads. It prompts - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table".
Also on comparing the DataSources in DEV system and Quality system there are no fields in "Proposal" tab of datasource in Quality system. Also I cannot change or activate Datasource in Quality system as we dont have change access in quality.
Please advice.

Sorry for bumping an old thread ....
Did this issue get ever get resolved?
I am facing the same one. The loads work successfully in Dev. The transport for DBConnect DS also moved in successfully.
One strange this is that DB User for dev did not automatically change to db user from quality when I transported the DBConnect datasource. DBCon DS still shows me the DB User from Dev in Quality system
I get "Unknown Error" whenever I trigger the data package.

How to upload data from flat to ztables with in the same client by idocs

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement in IDOCS, I need to create a custom IDOC .I am working on IDES 4.6c. The reqirement is , there are ztables with header and item data. say for example Authors and Books. I need to upload data from flat file which is available in presentation server of the same client, which will updated in ztables by using idocs. For this i need to do ale settings also. The client is 800. There is no other client available. With in the same client i need to do the above stuff.
For this requirement how to approach (step by step) to accomplish.

maintain process code using we42
create partner profiles we20.
In the fm module itself write the code for downloading the data from presentation server by GUI_DOWNLOAD.
Then update the database tables directly by insrt through other internal table in the same client itself.

Challenges while Upgrading from OBIEE 10g to 11g

Hi Gurus,
This is Kiran again. This time I am back with the upgradation issues. We have a client which is currently on OBIEE 10g. All components are already configured in OBIEE 10g with client on RPD, Catalog and implemented all security levels for those.
Now the challenge is to upgrade all activities which we have configured in OBIEE 10g. I have seen lot of stuff online and understood how to upgrade from OBIEE 10g to OBIEE 11g by simply clicking on ua.bat file. But I am unable to understand the process how it is upgrading the securities and environments.
Can anyone help me out by providing necessary stuff I need to take care of before taking the decision to upgrade from OBIEE 10g to 11g.
And also please clear me whether we will have any challenges in upgrading process. If yes, then what kind of challenges we will face and what kind of necessary steps we need to implement to resolve it.
What kind of Architecture we need to follow?
How Schedulers will get upgraded?
Please help me out with your real experiences (Not the online websites). Your response will be highly appreciated and it will help lot of OBIEE professionals who are in the process of upgradation.

Upload data from excel to Ztable with statistics

I have a requirement to upload data from excel sheet to ztable .
Here i need tp provide the user with the execution statistics like
1.Number of records read from the Excel spread-sheet
2. Number records processed successfully
3. Number records with Error
4. Name and location of Error Log-file (text-file format)
5. Name and location of the file containing error records (Excel spread-sheet format)

Is there any process to upload data from excel to application server other than reading the data from excel to z program through gui_upload and transferring the data to application server.

Problem with upload data from CRM to BI system

When I try to perform full upload data from CRM to BI system with data source 0BPARTNER_ATTR (active version: Excutable). I waited for a long time but there are not any records were transfered (total records need to upload are 130) . I checked the log and can't find any errors.
Pls help me solve this problem.

The detail errors is:
Extraction(messages): Missing messages
          Missing message: Request received
          Missing message: Number of sent records
          Missing message: Selection completed
Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Errors occurred
          Data package 1: arrived in BW; Processing: Selected number does not agree with transferred n
          Request IDoc: Application document posted
          Info IDoc 2: sent, not arrived; Data passed to port OK
          Info IDoc 1: sent, not arrived; Data passed to port OK
          Info IDoc 3: sent, not arrived; Data passed to port OK
          Info IDoc 4: sent, not arrived; Data passed to port OK
However, the data has been uploaded to infoobject. Pls explain to me about this error and why the data can be uploaded with this error.

How to Upload Smartforms from Application Server

Hi Guys,
I have to upload the SMARTFORMS in to the System.That can be done as follows:
1- Tcode - Smartforms
2- Utilities -> Upload form
3- Give form Name
4- Give path of Form on presentation server and upload.
But I have to give the path of Form from the Application Server. As i have all the forms to be uploaed in New system on the Application Server.
I will be writing the program to program to read XML file(smartform) from application server to internal table and then upload it in the System.
Please let me know if it is possible to upload Smartforms from Application Server?

We need to upload data from SAP R/3 Payroll to BPC into to use in a butget process. We actived 0HR_PY_1 extractor and we have data at PCA area. My question is how i can to load this data into a appset in BCP.

Hi,
There are multiple ways of extracting data from ECC to BPC.
If you have SAP BW implemented for your HR area then you can load data from SAP BW info provider to SAP BPC.
check out the following thread.... all these things are already widely discussed in the forum.... all thats required is to search.....
you have got to use Transformation and conversion files.....
[How to load Transaction Data from BW to BPC]
If SAP BW is not implemented then the other way is to extract the payroll data into Flat files and use the data manager package to upload the data.... you got to prepare transformation and conversion files for this as well.
Directly from ECC is not possible as of now.....
