Upload .TIF images in SE78

Hi all,
I've currently used SE78 to upload .BMP images for use in SmartForms. Now I want to upload a .TIF image, but under the "Graphics" folder in SE78 there is only a "BMAP" folder.
How can I upload .TIF images in SE78/add a new folder for .TIF images?
All helpful answers will be rewarded!

Hi,
These are the steps to be followed for uploading graphics in R/3 system
1.   First save the file as BMP
2.   Open the BMP file in IMaging (Goto -> Programs -> Accessories -> Imaging) and
      make it Zoom as 100% and save as *.TIFF
3.   Open SE38 and execute program RSTXLDMC
4.   Give your TIFF file path name
5.   Select Bcol (for Color)
6.   TEXT ID will be ZHEX-MACRO-*.
7.   Inplace of * write your own logo name (ZCOMPANYLOGO)
8.   Execute the program

  • Problem in Uploading Transparent images in SE78

    Hi,
         I am trying to upload an image (Company Logo) with a transparent background in SE78. The file format at the time of upload is TIFF (since bitmap does not support transparency).
         However I get an error message "Erroneous TIFF file". Can anyone help me out please, as we have a requirement to print this logo on a check using a laser printer.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Aditya

    Hello All,
                I got the solution to this problem.
                You take an image and save it as a 256 colour bitmap (Using for example the windows Paint application)
                Then you upload this image via transaction SE78 as a graphic.
                <b>When you save the bitmap as a 256 colour BMP file</b>, then the white background stays as a "White/Transparent Background"...which means for a laser printer...it does not try to print a "White Area".
                 Instead, if you use a 24-bit high resolution bitmap, you could get a Creamy layer in the white area of the BMP and this is not desired if you are printing using a laser printer on a coloured paper
                  So use a 256 colour Bitmap for these "Transparent" logos

    Aditya

  • How do I stop .tif images being converted and compressed to .jpeg?

    I'm not sure what is going on here but when I add a high res .tif picture to iWeb it will display correctly until I publish the website.
    Once the website is published I the high res .tif picture suddenly becomes a low res .jpeg picture and looks ruddy awful.
    How do I stop iWeb from downscaling the resolution?
    Thanks

    Tiff files are notoriously large which is why it may not be supported - have you tried converting to PNG as this is also lossless and was developed for saving highly detailed images where loss of quality was unacceptable. PNG should be supported I have used them for transparent graphics. Also it may be because you put them in an image placement or album rather than straight on the page. Other than that I can't help. I use jpegs for ordinary images and haven't noticed too much loss of quality but it depends on the purpose of your site.
    You could always upload the image separately and make a link to the page in iweb, or embed in iframe, just doing some lateral thinking here.
    Experiment and see what happens, thats the fun of learning new things.

  • Image from SE78

    I have a bmp image uploaded with se78.
    Can anybody tell me how could I write that image into a word  file using ole2?
    Thanks

    Hi All,
    I have a similar requirement as mentioned in this thread. Images should have been loaded onto SAP server (could be Application server / SE78 / MIME etc) and they should be downloaded to Word using OLE.
    Note that my requirement is not to load image / bmp files from presentation server to word file, rather the files should be from SAP server to word file.
    Uploading the image / bmp onto SAP server is not the issue here, picking up a image from SAP and downloading the same to word using OLE is where I am ended with no clue.
    Please let me know if anyone had come across this scenario.

    Convert it to the much more web-friendly png format.

  • Image cropping before uploading an image

    Hi all,
    I am using webcenter spaces 11.1.1.8.6. I have a requirement where i need an option to crop a image before uploading it. For example before a logged in user uploads his image he should be able to crop only a certain part of the image and upload it. How do i achieve this

    Well, I never tried it.But you can use some jquery plugin for this. There is no support out of the box,
    try using jcrop
    Jcrop: the jQuery Image Cropping Plugin
    or see in this list which can work best

  • Uploading an image in interactive report APEX 4.0

    Hi,
    I hope you can help me. I am using the book "Begining ORACLE APEX", which is for APEX 3.1.2, to learn APEX. Now, I use the online APEX 4.0. In the 6th chapter one should add new columns to the PRODUCTS table: one for the PRODUCT_IMAGE, a BLOB column, and 3 more for MIMETYPE, FILENAME, and IMAGE_LAST_UPDATE. So, i need to make an interactive report, with this new table. I include it, but when I run the application it doesn't show. So i insert in the SQL for the report : "PRODUCT_IMAGE", and run the page again, and there i add the column using Actions button. When added, each row is is filled with: [unsupported data type]. When trying to upload an image it doesn't work. It doesn't show anything. I even tried putting: dbms_lob.length("PRODUCT_IMAGE") "PRODUCT_IMAGE" in the SQL of the report, but it doesn't work. It is like a problem with uploading the image. It doesn't do anything.
    I would really appreciate your help, this is really important for my job..
    Sincerely,
    Leila

    See the sample application provided in your workspace, there in page no 3 they have created a interactive report showing a image in one of the column, I think it will solve your problem.

    Hello I would like to write a program where I can upload an image from my computer and have it displayed in the program. Try this code..

            int result = fileChooser.showOpenDialog(null);

    I'd upload an image choosen by the client, but I want to wrap it in a movieclip in order to manipulate its size and color with color transform. How can I do it? (AS3 in Flash 10)

        graphics.endFill();
      boton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, loadFile);
    Any help will be very appreciated. Madrid.

    If you see the code, I draw a rectangle in order to enclose the bitmapData as a fill. I made it in flex adding the rectangle to a canvas with ID, and then applied the transformations and zooming to the canvas itself successfully. But my client wants some other issues that only can be made in Flash, and I have to transfer the whole code to Flash, For instance, look at both codes and you will grasp what I'm trying to say:
    1) Flex:
    imageView.graphics.clear();  // "imageView" is the canvas id.imageView.graphics.beginBitmapFill(bitmapData, matrix,false);imageView.graphics.drawRect(0, 0, 500, ra);
    imageView.graphics.endFill();
    2) Flash:
         graphics.clear();   // you see? There is NOT an instance name. How can I manipulate THIS?
        graphics.lineStyle(1, 0x000000);
        graphics.beginBitmapFill(bitmapData, matrix, false);
        graphics.drawRect(0, 0, 500, ra);
        graphics.endFill();
    Thanks a lot for your patience. Madrid.
