Upload to Flickr doesn't work anymore (even with latest update)

iPhoto-upload to Flickr does work anymore. Even a single jpg takes ages and the result it a pretty much destroyed picture @flickr.

Yes, it is iPhoto 9.3.2 … and now on OS X 10.8.
I now get mostly timeouts, but here is a screenshot of a pic that made it up to flickr (all sizes look same).
BTW: Using the Flickr Upload on Safari works fast and all well.

Nikon D90 RAW format not recognised even with latest updates

Hello,
I just tried to import RAW pictures from my new D90 on my Mac (recently installed Leopard, with latest combo update + Aperture update) but it doesn't recognise the format. I can see thumbnails, and JPEG pictures are working fine.
I also tried to manually install the update where D90 RAW support was added (nov 08), but it tells me there is no need to install it since I have a "newer version".
What can I do ?
Do I need to reinstall Leopard and update everything one at a time without combos ?

I figured out what the problem was !
I have a standalone edition of Leopard, and no iLife installed. I installed the iLife from another Mac and it magically worked !
It would have been nice to know that before, though.

Flickr doesn't work anymore in Safari on my Ipad mini since Ios 7

Since Ios7 my photostream in Flickr uploads just the upper banner and my photos not. Very annoying. Anyone having the same problem?

You cannot install or de-install Safari. Again, it's about Safari, the browser, not the Flickr app.
And by the way, it is not only Flickr, even this discussion I had to edit it in Mercury because some buttons do not work in Safari. I have problems with Safari browser while Mercury or Opera work ok.

Firefox will not open. NOT RESPONDING. have to force close. can not get it to work anymore even with a fresh download.

firefox suddenly stopped working. would just say not responding. finally after several trys and re booting computer i threw it in the trash and eliminated it. i downloaded a fresh one and it still will not respond. i am very unhappy at this point. crappy safari still works but firefox will not.

My Yahoo chat doesn't work anymore since the latest upgrade. Why??

Ever since the upgrade, my yahoo chat won't work on my pc. I can't get the chat windows to pop up. I can see someone is trying to chat with me, but no window. I'm not the only one this is happening to. I have a friend who has gone through the same thing. We've both tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Please fix this particular issue as we both prefer firefox over internet explorer, but our chat works fine in IE. Thanks!

I found the solution, I just turned off my mac and the sound came back.

Gmail attachment stopped working in Firefox with latest update. What to do?

My Gmail attachment function stopped working with the latest Firefox update (Aug. 2014). Things I tried that didn't help include:
1. Re-installed the latest version.
2. Restored to my earlier version.
3. Cleared cookies.
Gmail functions just fine in IE, but I would rather stay with Firefox if I can. Any suggestions?

If you can't add attachments to Gmail messages then you need to add an allow exception to allow pop-ups for this Google website (mail.google.com).
Easiest to do this is to click the padlock on the location bar and click the "More Information" button to open the "Tools > Page Info" window with the Security tab selected.
Proceed to the Permissions tab
Remove the tick on "Open Pop-up Windows" > "Use Default" and click the Allow radio button to change the permission to allow pop-ups for the mail.google.com domain.

Keyboard repeating not working with latest update for mac?

I just updated my Macbook Pro with a new version of Yosemite and i have come to find that the keyboard repeating function is not working anymore, even with the command: defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool false
in terminal.
Is there anyway to resolve this? I find the other character extremely annoying that they always pop up

The repeating function you want has been off by default since 10.7 was released 3 years ago. That terminal command should normally do the trick. Did you logout and login again?

Link to a file doesn't work anymore

I repeteadly made this experience: I link some text to a file and upload it via .mac. However, when I change the file, the link doesn't work anymore. Even if I set up the whole thing again and upload it, it doesn't work.
Seems like I get one chance per link and that's it.
Does anyone know how to get the link working again?

I just started using iWeb last night for the first time and ran into the same (or similar) problem. I did it kind of backwards but that shouldn't matter I wouldn't think. I also came across another problem with text which was not supposed to be a hyperlink but ended up being one and one I couldn't turn off.
I created a text field, typed in some text, then made the text an active hyperlink and attached the link to a file. That first one worked OK. Then I copied and pasted that text field about ten times, changed the text slightly and set each text field to another different file link. I then published and tried the links using Safari. The first few links worked fine and the files were automatically downloaded to my downloads folder. However, clicking on the last few links downloaded files from the other previous text links instead of the ones they were supposed to even though the inspector shows the correct files. I even tried doing new text fields and new links but they still don't work correctly.
The other problem is that I created some more text fields to be used as descriptions for the file downloads by copying a hyperlinked text field. I realized after the copies were made and I had spent some time changing the text that these text fields carried over the linked hypertext attribute. Since I didn't want to type everything out again from scratch, I just turned off the hypertext link attribute in the inspector. However, after I saved the web site and then published the site, I discovered that the text was still linked to a file download. I went back into iWeb and that hypertext checkbox was now checked. I turned it off several times but every time I publish, it turns it back on by itself.
I am going to create the entire page over again from scratch and try the method of dragging files from the finder to initially create the link (got that from the help file).
Also it would be nice to have better/more file download features in iWeb such as being able to access a file picker where the web user could select files s/he wanted to download instead of requiring one button per file. Also, some way to automatically compress into one download a selection of several files.

Hello ! I have the same problem ... more or less. The Safari we have on one of the MacBooks' here doesn't work any longer. That happened after I both downloaded and installed the updated for Safari two weeks ago or so- and (simultaneously) ran an application called "MacKeeper". Maybe that was the "bug"? ... because after that Safari collapsed, but nothing else. I tried to reset all on Safari, copied even manually all preferences of Safari from another MacBook that worked onto mine, but no chance. Safari is blank when I try to open it, nothing happens, except from making the rest of my MacBook also work slow. Now I have to use Firefox, that works, but I don't want to use this browser, I would like to have Safari back.
My question is the same: Is there at all a chance to fix this problem? Any advice from you guys out there is highly appreciated!

IMac freezes & Time Machine doesn't work anymore

Hello,
For several days now my trusty iMac (two years old) keeps freezing without a recognizable pattern. Programs like iTunes, iPhoto or maybe even the Finder just stop working and display only the rotating ball - the only thing left to do for me after that is to manually terminate that process or (in the case of the Finder) to restart the whole iMac. I'm really clueless as to where this behaviour suddenly comes from, up until about a week ago the iMac worked perfectly. And now something like this happens every single time I start it.
Another thing that doesn't work anymore is Time Machine. My last automatic backup is from September 17th. After that it just stopped working. Every time an automatic or manual backup is initiated it just says "Searching for backup volume" but doesn't find it, even after several hours of looking. The Time Capsule itself works perfectly, no errors whatsoever.
My iMac is up-to-date, I also already ran the disgnostics of the hard drive program - everything seems to be fine. Can anyone help me?

When you next have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Scroll back in the log to the time you noted above. Select any messages timestamped from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

Export to excel doesn't work anymore

I recently re-installed Excel, and the "export to excel" function in B1 doesn't work anymore. Even when I do "File> Export> MS-excel", it doesn't offer an *.xls file type to save.
Any ideas?

For export option activate On SAP B1 client machine you have go general setting > Go to path > than provide SAP sever Excel Doc Path.
and please confirm in that folder Auto open.xls file is there or not.
and than go to new excel file > Tools >Option .security > Macro setting > Select Security level Medium.
Than try to open excel file.
May it help you.
If its not work so you check on sever if its working on sever than if definitely client machine problem.
for that you have re-installed SAP client.

Artwork doesn't work anymore

I all used to create artwork in Photoshop CS4 then dragging them to the artwork window in iTunes (9.2.1). Suddenly it doesn't work anymore. All I get is a black image, and if I go in Infos, my image is a very small dot that I can barely manage to click and delete. My image resolution in Photoshop is that same as before, 8 bit, RGB, usually around 4 '' x 4 '' at 72-100 dpi. Jpg format in general.
Was there an update at one point what changed to way artwork can be import or translated in iTunes. It's getting annoying

There are a few other threads on this. I too usually use photoshop to clean-up/scan/create almost all of my cover art. So not being able to drag and drop- especially when this feature has always worked before, is a huge pain/problem.
You can no longer drag drop or even cut & paste art from photoshop into itunes. Also, you can no longer copy art FROM itunes into photoshop.
I hope this is something that apple will fix, but I wonder if they even care that this is a problem...
