Upload to Flickr

When I upload to Flickr from the organizer in Elements 12, the upload stops prior to completion- I have Windows 7 and a good high speed internet connection.
What to do?
Thanks

Hi,
Please try this:
Close Elements Organizer
Go to :%appdata% > Adobe > Online Services and delete Photoshop Elements 12.0.0 folder
Now relaunch EO and see if it works.
OR to make it easy:
In Organizer Go to Edit > Preferences > Adobe Partner Services > clear Online services Data  Click OK
Relaunch EO
Thanks,
Anwesha

  • Can no longer upload to Flickr  -- any ideas?

iPhoto 11 (9.1.3) no longer uploads to Flickr. I get all the way to "upload" and then it does nothing. Tried restarting both the program and the whole computer to no avail. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    Oops, that's "publish" not upload.

  • Lightroom 5.2\5.3 crashing after two uploads to flickr

    Hi all,
After getting a bit of a nagging from the in laws I got round to cataloguing the last few months photos to upload the pics of the kids.
When I go to upload to flickr it will publish two images then crash and the cycle repeats - having a few hundreds to upload there is no way on earth I'm going to babysit Lightroom while it does this.
I'm using jFlickr and have the most up to date version - although I was reluctant to mention this as I half suspect my issue will now be shelved using this as a get out - but frankly Adobe's offering is poor and presumes you've just started with Flickr.
The OS is Windows 8.1 64bit - LR 5.3 (same results on 5.1 and 5.2)
From the event logs I have the following errors:
    Faulting process ID: 0x1b04
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cf1b6ba0c459e7
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.2\lightroom.exe

Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.2\CameraRaw.dll
It them repeats through one of these three for each failure.
Thanks for reading and I hope someone out there has found a solution.

    Any ideas anyone?
Jeff suggested checking the integrity or a re-install - I have completely rebuilt the PC - so clean install plus totally up to date versions - I also check integrity when I backup and it always passes, in addition I cleared the prefs file (again Jeff's idea) but it still crashes, but only with his plugin.
Is there a way to rebuild the catalogue without loosing the settings?
Could it be because I recently converted to DNG?

  • Lightroom: The upload to flickr service is not working correctly anymore

    Hi!
i have the newest version of 5.2 installed.
i have some automated virtual folders for uploading to flickr.
in former times, when i changed one of the pictures and pressed "publish", the pictures which were already online have been deleted and uploaded again (replaced).
now i have a lot of dublicates on flickr.
is there already a fix, or is this problem known?
    thanks & best regards

    1. I don't know.
    2. Maybe somebody else does.
    3. If I were you, I'd try Jeffrey Friedl's Flickr plugin. Why?
    1. It may not have the same problem.
    2. If it does, he'll be able to give you the straight scoop and/or fix it in a matter of hours or days, instead of weeks or months...

  • How can I get iPhoto 11 to include titles when uploading to Flickr

I am using iPhoto 11 and when I upload to Flickr, it will not include titles.  I have tried using the share feature and the drag and drop feature and titles are not transferred to Flickr.  Is there some way to get my titles in iPhoto to be included with my pictures when I upload to Flickr?

I did check with Flickr first and they said it was an iPhoto problem.  Also, I did export the photos to a folder on the desktop with include titles checked, however, the result was not satisfactory.  The titles included .jpg after each title and also the DSCN number showed and I had deleted that.  The first time I uploaded an album to Flickr, it included the titles, but now, it does not do it.  Thanks for your suggestions.

  • Is there a way to filter iPhoto photos by what's been uploaded to Flickr?

I want to know which photos in my iPhoto library have NOT been uploaded to Flickr.  Is there a way to do this?

Is there a way I can stop
    this ?
No, Photo Stream is syncing with iCloud. The most recent 1000 photos in iCloud will be buffered on your mac, even if you do not import them to your photo library, if you enable My Photo Stream.
See this link:   iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
iCloud pushes all your photos to the My Photo Stream album on your devices and computers, and manages them efficiently, so you don’t run out of storage space.

  • Upload to Flickr - edits not retained

When I've uploaded photos to Flickr or emailed for viewing on another computer the edits I've made in lightroom do not follow. Am I pulling the correct file or is there something I need to do to prep them for uploading?
    Thanks!

Use export to mail for your emails. And for uploading to Flickr use the free plug-in from Jeffrey Friedl at http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/flickr/

  • Aperture 3.6 Uploads to Flickr only at 72 dpi, not 300 dpi. Why?

Yesterday I upgraded to the new retina iMac (Yosemite 10.10) and updated Aperture to 3.6.  (Previous iMac had not been updated with Yosemite.)
With previous setup, I was uploading to Flickr albums at 300 dpi.
With new setup, photos upload at 72 dpi, including files that previously uploaded at 300 dpi.
I've tried Preferences > Export > External Editor File Format > 300 dpi.
I've also done Presets > Image Exports > changed all formats/sizes to 300 dpi.
FWIW, I can export from Aperture into Lightroom and upload to Flickr from there at 240 dpi.
    My question:
What setting am I missing in Aperture 3.6 so that photos upload to Flickr albums at 300 dpi again?

You should look at this thread Problem with Aperture 3.6 preset exports.
Seems Aperture has changed something since 3.6 that might be causing what you are seeing. The way Aperture is setting the JFIF x and y density settings has changed and they do not reflect the true DPI set on the file.
Don;t know if Flickr looks at those, something to keep in mind.
    regards
    <edit>
FWIW, I can export from Aperture into Lightroom and upload to Flickr from there at 240 dpi.
did you change the dpi setting in Lightroom?  You should look the the image in Preview BEFORE you import into Lightroom. Look at the JFIF settings. Then look again AFTER you export from Lightroom. Did the JFIF settings change?

  • Does Photos for OS X allow duplicate photo uploads to Flickr?  It used to check in iPhoto.

Does Photos for OS X allow for duplicate uploads to Flickr?  I liked the way iPhoto handled this better.
In iPhoto, if I uploaded a photo to Flickr, it wouldn't upload duplicates.
When I upload with Photos it will allow duplicate uploads.  Is this a bug?
    Thanks!
    Jason

To date I have not found a solution.  If I do I will update.  Folks are trying to help though.  I am trying these items from another thread this weekend.  The first one seems to  have helped a bit.  I will update if I find something that works.
Here are the  items I am trying (from Old Toad on this post https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7001536)
I you have iPhoto 9.6.1 or can download it from then App Store I suggest you do the following before converting the library to Photos.
1 - launch iPhoto with the Option+Command keys held down and run the following First Aid routines:
         a. Option #1, Repair Library Permissions
         b. Option #2, Rebuild Thumbnails
         c. Option #4, Rebuild Database
This will "clean" up the library to help insure a good conversion.  It might take a while to do those three routines but a clean conversion will make things go much better later on.

  • Can't choose picture size when uploading to Flickr

    Hey there,
somehow I can't choose any bigger size than "Web" when uploading to Flickr, although the picture is far larger.
    What's wrong?
    Thank you.

Same problem with a 270k photo that is 2200 x 1700 jpeg. The Flickr FAQ states a 10MB photo limit for Free accounts and pictures are scaled down with the maximum of 1024 being the biggest for free accounts. The other two iPhoto Flickr options may be for Pro account. I hope not.

  • Can't upload to flickr from Aperture 3.5.1

I've just recently tried to upload to Flickr from Aperture 3.5.1 and am getting an error message:
"Aperture is no longer authorized to use the Flickr account "Michael Meyers" Do you want to set up publishing to this account again?"
I then click on the "set-up" button and am taken through to Safari to login to Flickr. I can do that successfully but then get a message saying "Oops! Flickr can't find a valid callback URL."
So it looks like there is no way for me to export from Aperture to Flickr.
This might have something to do with the Flickr API changing to use SSL only but I can't really be sure since the error messages aren't that descriptive.
    Any ideas?

Check, if the "Primary Only" flag is active. If yes, disable it.
With this flag active, only the primary image will be effected by edits.
See:   Keywords or ratings are applied only to one of the selected images - why?

  • Location data not uploaded to flickr ?

am i right in assuming that when uploading to flickr from iphoto, that the map places are not uploaded to flickr with the image ?
i tested one that has been placed on the map in iphoto, but when viewing the image in flickr there is no location info on the image.

I haven't started using "Places" yet (haven't assigned location data to any photos), so I can't answer for sure.
BUT, I did notice a preference ("iPhoto->Preferences->Web") called "Include location information for published photos". It defaulted to UN-checked when I first went to that preference page.
I'm guessing that if you check this, location data will be exported to flickr/facebook. Just a guess, though.

  • Lightroom 5 upload to Flickr Broken

The ability to upload directly to Flickr from Lightroom for Mac seems to be broken. Flickr says the problem is with Lightroom. The problem occurs when trying to republish a photo. This kicks up an error message that the filetype is wrong and this then blocks all further uploads.
    See these discussions:
Flickr: The Help Forum: Flickr API returned an error message (function upload, message Filetype was not recognised)
Flickr: The Help Forum: api code not working
Flickr: Discussing Lightroom has stopped uploading to flickr in Lightroom 3 and above: Flickr Publish Service

  • Unknown protocol when uploading to flickr

I have been authorizing and using the upload to flickr for years, but now it comes back with
    "Unknown protocol "
when I try to Authorize it and this is the same in Chrome, Firefox, Internet explore and Opera
Any help please, the only thing I think has changed in the 5.7 update in lightroom

At this time can you upload this file or any video file to Facebook without using Premiere Elements?
Do you have any of those videos that uploaded to Facebook successfully previously from Premiere Elements so that you can try uploading them again as part of troubleshooting the present issue?

  • Upload to Flickr doesn't work anymore (even with latest update)

iPhoto-upload to Flickr does work anymore. Even a single jpg takes ages and the result it a pretty much destroyed picture @flickr.

Yes, it is iPhoto 9.3.2 … and now on OS X 10.8.
I now get mostly timeouts, but here is a screenshot of a pic that made it up to flickr (all sizes look same).
BTW: Using the Flickr Upload on Safari works fast and all well.
