Upload to FTP Host... not remembering ftp settings

Upload to FTP Host works well, but the settings are not remembered for subsequent uploads.  How can I save the FTP Upload settings in Muse 2.2 for re-use?

Sachin,
Thank you for your note.  My installed version of Muse version 2.3 does not remember any of the FTP settings in the Upload to FTP host… dialog box.  This behavior is contrary to your report that Muse remembers FTP credentials.  From my repeated experiences this function has no retention of previous dialog entries.
How can I make the Upload to FTP Host… remember the FTP site login, password, etc.?

  • Dreamweaver not remember FTP details

    Hi Guys,
    I have a problem with dreamweaver at the moment. for some
    reason its not remembering the user and pass in the FTP details of
    each site. i looked through a couple of threads, and deleted that
    temp file that was mentioned, but that didnt sort the problem.
    i have windows vista home premium installed. i dont think
    this is the problem because when i installed dreamweaver after i
    installed vista, it remembered my ftp details without a problem.
    the problem started happening about a week ago, and i cant think of
    anything thats changed on my computer since that time.
    Thanks

  • Premiere CS6 does not remember some settings when saving custom export presets.

    When I save a custom export preset in the export window, some settings are not remembered, and I need to change them every time again and again! The settings so far I found to not be saved are:
    Key frame every ... frames
    Limit data rate to ...

    Interesting...
    When I create and save an a H.264 QT preset
    using the Export Settings dialog from within Premiere,
    it does not save the key frame interval or max bitrate.
    However, when I create a H.264 QT preset from within
    Media Encoder and save... the missing settings are saved
    and can be recalled from within the Premiere Export Settings dialog.
    EDIT:
    Re-tested this a bit more, and now the kf interval & max bitrate are
    being saved with the presets created in Premiere Export Settings dialog.
    Odd... my first 2 tries didn't take?

  • Save for Web does not remember quality settings

    Hello,
    I just about PSE8 today and Im on a mac with Leopard.
    PSE does not remember the quality settings when "save for web".
    The quality is 0 every time Im saving. Even if I change to 100 it does not remember it.
    Can you help please? Im far from being an expert here.

    function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
    However in my library-folder/preferences folder I found 5 folders or files which are connected to adobe.
    "write and read" is activated on all and Im the main user on this mac.
    There is even one file called "Adobe PSE für Web speichern 6.0 Vor" so pretty much like "save for web". On this one I can write and read as well.
    On Windows, there is a preferences file that is stored in the proper location for such files:
    C:\Users\Ellis\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Save For Web PSE\4.0\Adobe Save For Web PSE 4.0 Prefs
    PSE has no problem writing that file.  This sounds similar to the file you found.
    However, there is another file that Save For Web tries to write:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 6.0\Settings\Recently Used Optimizations.irs
    It is this file that is located improperly, in Program Files, which is supposed to be only for read-only executables (.exe), dynamic link libraries (.dll), and other read-only assets live.  Programs normally don't have write permissions for these folders, so Save For Web fails to save its preferences.  Perhaps there is something similar on the Mac.  (I'm not an OS X expert, so I can't help with the Mac conventions of where things are kept.)

  • IMac not remembering printer settings

    I have created a default profile for my printer and the iMac is not remembering it unless I select the 'Printer' button.
    How can I get the iMac to remember the settings in the default profile with out the need to click on settings.

    Hi,
    Try changing the default print settings using the CUPS web interface:
    Go to http://127.0.0.1:631/printers and click your printer name.
    Click the Administration drop-down menu and select "Set Default Options".
    Select the Duplex option and select the binding type you would like to use.
    Click the "Set Default Options" button when you are done and provide your administrator user details when prompted.
    Make sure to reboot the Mac and try printing from your browser again..
    Best of luck

  • Upload to FTP host not working using SFTP

    I've tested and retested the FTP Server using SFTP on Transmit, works perfectly every time and won't work using Muse's Upload to FTP. Any ideas?

    Thanks Zak,
    I still have these questions:
    1. Why does Transmit, CyberDuck, and Filezilla all work just fine using SFTP with your Apple server ?
    2. Why does Muse have “no experience doing this on an Apple Server”, yet confident it should work ?
    3. Is the following what you are referring to?
    If so, it seems less secure, and I'm loath to reduce our security after having been hacked before. Why can't Muse work just like Dreamweaver and every other FTP client that I know of?
    Key-Based SSH Login
    Key-based authentication is helpful for such tasks as automating file transfers and backups and for creating failover scripts because it allows computers to communicate without a user needing to enter a password.
    Important: Key-based authentication has risks. If the private key you generate becomes compromised, unauthorized users can access your computers. You must determine whether the advantages of key-based authentication are worth the risks.
    Generating a Key Pair for SSH
    The following outlines the process of setting up key-based SSH login on Mac OS X
    and Mac OS X Server. To set up key-based SSH, you must generate the keys the two
    computers will use to establish and validate the identity of each other.
    This doesn’t authorize all users of the computer to have SSH access.
    Keys must be generated for each user account.
    To do this, run the following commands in Terminal:
    1. Verify that an .ssh folder exists in your home folder: ls -ld ~/.ssh
    If .ssh is listed in the output, move to step 2.
    If .ssh is not listed in the output,run: mkdir ~/.ssh and continue to step 2.
    2. Change directories in the shell to the hidden .ssh directory with the following command:
    cd ~/.ssh
    3. Generate the public and private keys by entering the following command:
    ssh-keygen -b 1024 -t rsa -f id_rsa -P ''
    -b flag sets the length of the keys to 1,024-bits
    -t indicates to use the RSA hashing algorithm
    -f sets the file name as id_rsa
    -P followed by two single-quote marks sets the private key password to be null.
    The null private key password allows for automated SSH connections.
    Keys are equivalent to passwords so you should keep them private and protected.
    4. Copy the public key into the authorized key file by entering the following command:
    cat id_rsa.pub >> authorized_keys2
    5. Change the permissions of the private key by entering the following command:
    chmod go-rwx ~/.ssh/.id_rsa
    Set the permissions on the private key so the file can only be changed by the owner.
    6. Copy the public key and the authorized key lists to the specified user’s home folder on
    the remote computer by entering the following command:
    scp authorized_keys2 username@remotemachine:~/.ssh/
    - To establish two-way communication between servers, repeat this process on the second computer.
    - The process must be repeated for each user that needs to open key-based SSH sessions.
    - The root user is not excluded from this requirement.
    - The home folder for the root user on Mac OS X Server is located at /var/root/.
    Key-Based SSH with Scripting Sample
    The following Perl script is a trivial scripting example that should not be implemented, but it demonstrates connecting over an SSH tunnel to all servers defined in the variable serverList, running softwareupdate, installing available updates, and restarting the computer if necessary.
    The script assumes that key-based SSH was set up for the root user on all servers to be updated.
    #!/usr/bin/perl
    # \@ is the escape sequence for the "@" symbol.
    my @serverList = ('root\@exampleserver1.example.com',
    'root\@exampleserver2.example.com');
    foreach $server (@serverList) {
    open SBUFF, "ssh $server -x -o batchmode=yes 'softwareupdate -i -a' |";
    while(<SBUFF>) {
    my $flag = 0;
    chop($_);
    #check for restart text in $_
    my $match = "Please restart immediately";
    $count = @{[$_ =~ /$match/g]};
    if($count > 0) {
    $flag = 1;
    close SBUFF;
    if($flag == 1) {
    "ssh $server -x -o batchmode=yes shutdown -r now"

  • Dreamweaver CS5 (Windows) does not remember ftp username and password

    I have seen this problem mentioned in other threads concerning Mac instalations of Dreamweaver, but this is a Windows installation. I recently installed DW CS5, and it refuses to remember the ftp username and password after I quit the program and restart it later. This was never a problem with CS3. It is extremely annoying. Any suggestions?

    OK, got it fixed. Even though it said it was pointed to the correct directory in "local site folder" I picked it again and then it said something like "rebuilding cache". and it worked.
    Thanks!

  • CS5 will not remember print settings

    Have upgraded from cs3 and cannot get cs5 to remember my print settings. In cs3 when I open a file to print it, the print driver automatically uses all the settings specified the last time I printed and saved the file. In cs5 the driver uses the settings specified for the last file printed. Anyone know how I can fix this?

    Gaarhhhh, of course it would be something so stupid and simple...something I'd never think of.
    Yeah, by docking I meant maximizing, I've been doing too much programming lately...
    And yeah, moving it to the other monitor and closing it without maximizing it worked, and what's more when I opened it the second time, I maximized it, then closed it, then opened it again and it opened, maximized, in the correct monitor.
    Still, seems like it could be a bug to me, CS3 always used to remember what monitor I opened the program in, whether I closed it maximized or not.
    Also, for completion's sake, I have an nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS with the most recent drivers (just installed them about 2 days ago.)
    Now I need to figure out how to turn off that stupid pixelation when I zoom in really far on an image...that's annoying.

  • Yosemite will not remember display settings.

    I set my display on my macbook pro 15" 2014 (Yosemite)  to have external monitor and not mirror itself. Each time I shutdown and restart it goes right back to mirror mode, as well as my wallpaper is reset to default wallpaper. How do I fix this?
    Thank you in advance.

    This should sort it out for you, it worked perfectly for mr.
    Re: Notifications preferences don't hold
    Just reboot then make your new settings modifications, then restart to verify that it has worked. You may ask what to do with the folder you dragged to the desktop? Honestly I simply deleted it and things have never been better. Good luck.

  • Adobe Illustrator CS5 Not Remembering Last Settings & Crashing

    Hello
    I am using the latest version of illustrator CS5 on a MacBook Pro Intel Core Duo, the rest of my Master Collection work ok except illustrator
    Firstly, when ever you quit illustrator it crashes and asks to send a crash report
    Second, when you reopen and go to File > Open Recent, there are no previously worked on documents in the list
    Thirdly, when i set up the units in inches for example then reopen it the next day, it goes back to milimeters??
    Does anyone know how to amend this problem? Apart from that it seems to run fairly smooth
    Thanks

    To add to this in case your trash the settings folder and it still happens you have to right or control click on the settings folder in the preferences and go to Get Info and look for Ownership and permissions and you can change it there to read/write.
    But when you do so click on the lock icon at the bottom of the Get Info window and then enter your username and password at the bottom of the Get Info there is a gear like icon with an arrow head facing down it will allow you to apply the change to all the contents in the settings folder to read/write.
    To find the Settings folder
    1. Quit Illustrator.
    2.Go to User/username/Library/Preferences/ Adobe illustrator CS5 Settings and trash the settings folder, the whole folder not just the contents of the folder..
    3. Start Illustrator. Illustrator creates a new preferences file.

  • Safari 5.0.5 OSX not remembering cookie settings after reboot

    Hi everyone,
    I'm having a very frustrating issue lately with Safari 5.0.5 on my MBP with OSX 10.6.7...
    I want to have my cookie settings under Preferences -> Security -> Accept Cookies to permanently be "Only from sites I visit". When I started Safari, and set that setting, it will remember the setting for the entire machines' session. However, if I reboot, or shutdown/restart my Mac, it will revert to the Always setting.
    I have tried trashing the Safari plist file under ~/Library/Preferences/, and trashing the associated caches.db file as well, hence resetting Safari, with no success.
    Any advice on this would be greatly appreaciated!
    Cheers

    Hi Andy,
    I just tried to temporarily remove Safari Cookies, and I'm sad to say the old issue re-occured as soon as the add-on gets uninstalled.
    It seems also, that after launching Safari for the first time after a reboot and going into Safari Preferences fast enough before the add-on launches, the setting is still incorrect, but then gets modified by Safari Cookies.
    I went and checked my Login Items, but there's nothing there that can affect Safari; the list hasn't changed in a long time. I don't have folders .../InputManagers or .../ScriptingAdditions under Home/Library.
    Under .../LaunchAgents, I have the following:
    com.adobe.AAM.Updater-1.0.plist
    com.adobe.ARM.df0ab5bbe6f698196fcc21e3c1e66dcb758bd911f4d637272d9d8109.plist
    com.apple.CSConfigDotMacCert-<blocked>-SharedServices.Agent.plist
    com.apple.FolderActions.enabled.plist
    com.apple.FolderActions.folders.plist
    com.apple.FTMonitor.plist
    com.apple.imagent.plist
    com.apple.marcoagent.plist
    com.google.GoogleContactSyncAgent.plist
    com.google.keystone.agent.plist
    `
    The first three are related to my Adobe CS5 and Acrobat X Pro installations.
    Now that I have the add-on which seems to keep things in check, this isn't as high a priority as it was, but I would definitely love to find out what's causing this so I can eventually nip it in the butt!
    Cheers

  • Safari toolbar not remembering custom settings.

    Anyone else seeing this bug?
    Whenever I customize the Safari toolbar (mainly to remove the bookmark button from the address bar) Safari will reload the default toolbar (but with Evernote clipper and 1Password and Delicious buttons) after a quit and re-open.
    It happens on both my iMac and Macbook.

    Hi
    A corrupt preference file seems to be at the root of the "disappearing icons". On both machines, via the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Preferences folder. Move the com.apple.safari.plist file to the trash, then restart Safari. This resets Safari preferences to default values. Restore any custom settings in either the Preference panel, Edit (spelling), or View Menu. Also, restore any custom icons.
    Also, the reset adds Apple default bookmarks to your Bookmarks collection (command/option/B keys). Delete any you don't want.
