Upload to .Mac constantly interrupted!

I have created 7 Sites with 1 to 14 pages per site. Everytime I try to upload to .Mac I get an error message "... problem while uploading file xxxx ...". So, only part of my web site is uploaded. The interruption happens always at a different stage through the upload process, so it can't be related to a certain file.
Anyone who has the same problems?

Uploads connection speeds are nothing like your download speed and every ISP is different.
Even a very fast cable Internet connection is (at best) one third of your download speed. Other ISP's like DSL sometimes place restrictions on your upload bandwidth. Dial-up? Forgetaboutit.
Solutions?
Publish your pages in smaller batches. Once your "big files" (movies, podcasts or music) are published as pages iWeb needs to only modify the html code in some previously published pages.
You can add a little bit at a time to your Site. Once you've got the large pages uploaded (one at a time if needed) you can continue to add to your Site and even adjust the page order.
Uploading data is like trying to suck a potato through a straw. It works better if you cut up the potato. Even better still if the potato is "mashed" (properly compressed).

  • Playback (Streaming) to bluetooth headphones constantly interrupts

    Hi,
    I use a pair of Sennheiser Headphones (MM 450 Travel) connected via Bluetooth to my ipad (Ipad 1st Gen, Wi-Fi 64GB with iOS 4.3.3).
    I have absolutely no problem using them with content which is stored on my Ipad, like when I use the iPod application.
    However, when I use applications that stream content from the net (such as Tune In, a radio application) or from a server on the local network (like Plex), playback is constantly interrupted. Further investigation revealed that, when Airplay is activated and output is redirected to the Bluetooth headphones, the ipad has trouble buffering from the network. If I disable airplay during playback, the buffer re-starts filling fast, thus confirming it is not a bandwidth problem.
    Interruptions can occur every few seconds, or every minute, it is very inconsistent.
    I was wondering if anybody else had this problem and if it can be solved somehow.

    i also have the exact same issue with my ipad wi-fi 64gig version. sounds like an isolated issue with the 64gig versions only.

  • Mac constantly says keychain not found

    My Mac constantly brings up a message telling me the keychain is not found. I just click cancel but it is an annoyance. I tried to reset my default keychain in the Keychain Access program but it brings up a UNIX (Invalid Argument) message. Any ideas?

    There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, testing after each one, until it's resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
    Step 1
    Follow the directions in this support article.
    Step 2
    Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
    Select the iCloud keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
    If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password.
    Select
              Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
    from the menu bar and repair the keychain.
    Step 3
    Open the iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Keychain box. You'll be prompted to delete the local iCloud keychain. Confirm. Then re-check the box. Follow one of the procedures described in this support article to set up iCloud Keychain on an additional device.
    Step 4
    Open the Keychains folder as in Step 1. There should be a file in that folder with the name "login.keychain". If there is also a file iwith the name "login_renamed_1.keychain", then please do as follows:
    ☞ Rename login.keychain to "login-old.keychain".
    ☞ Rename login_renamed_1.keychain to "login.keychain".
    You can then close the folder.
    Delete the login keychain from the keychain list in Keychain Access. Choose Delete References when prompted, not Delete References & Files.
    Select
              File ▹ Add Keychain...
    from the menu bar. Add back the file now named "login.keychain". If any of your needed keychain items are missing from it, also add back the file now named "login-old.keychain". I suggest you transfer any needed items from that keychain to the login keychain, then delete it. The transfers are made by drag-and-drop in Keychain Access. You'll need to enter your password for each item transferred.
    Run Keychain First Aid again. Quit Keychain Access.

    Installed Snow Leopard OK, but when uploading the Mac OS X Update Combined, it would not save. It said it could not connect to update server, but my internet connection is working. Any suggestions on fixing?

    Run software up date, write down the update name and version. Go to the Apple site and do a search for the updates one at a time and download them one at a time. Use an ethernet connection, sometimes software update "crushes large updates. I have experienced this before.  Hope it helps.  ATB

    Do you have Logitech Gaming Software installed?  If so, uninstall it and see if it resolves the issue.

  • Upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1 for Mac, constantly freezes and crashes, have to force quit, bad bugs. Switching to Safari.

    I upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1, and it now constantly freezes, won't respond at all, and has to be force quit and restarted. Within less than 5 minutes of use, over and over and over... I'm assuming it is a bug in the Mac version.... Am switching to Safari as I can't waste this much time constantly quitting and restarting and getting my tabs all back up. Any suggestions on ways to let Firefox know about the bug would be greatly appreciated. It worked fine until I upgraded :( Am running Mac OS X 10.6.7

  • Uploading problems (Mac)

    Hi,
    I recently made the move to Mac and i've always uploaded to my server via dreamweaver's split view interface.  Typically I'd simply select a file and drag it over to the directory that i want it uploaded to.  i'm using Mac's Dreamweaver CS5 and for some reason its NOT letting me drag files over to the directory of my choosing.  If i want to upload i need to right click and select "put" but it uploads it to a mirrored directory and not one of my choosing.  I'm not to savy on Macs or Dreamweaver.  Could someone please help?
    thanks!

    Here's what I do:
    I create a folder, telling the client where files are. On my Mac, I have my /Sites/ folder on my Dock, so I open up the particular website subfolder in /Sites/ and then I use Apple's Finder's drag & Drop or copy function to place these .PSD and other work files into a folder in the website.
    Then I tell Dreamweaver to upload the folder to the server and give my client the information on where the files may be found.
    Maybe you were doing something different in Windows and not using Dreamweaver's function to move things around, but you thought you were. Placing work files in a folder on a site works just fine. I do it in my local folder with the Apple Finder and then I just have Dreamweaver upload that folder, using Put.

  • IMovie uploaded to .mac Homepage won't play

    Uploaded an iMovie to my homepage on .mac. Took 90 minutes to compress. The listing shows up on my homepage, but when selected, all that appears is the quicktime symbol- no movie. Any suggestions?
    iBook 1.42 Ghz Power PC G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    Thanks. I saved the quicktime movie to idisk and then selected a theme, chose the movie and published it. Still, no quicktime movie when I select it. I tried the quicktime movie when it was sitting in the movie folder of idisk on my desktop and it worked fine. I am not quite sure what step I am missing. I erased the movie off of the home page and tried it again, but to no avail.
    I also did not understand what you meant when you said to load it to idisk, but not the local copy. There only seems to be one copy, the icon on my desktop. I am fairly new to the Mac world, so let me know if I am overlooking something crucial.

  • Developing an iOS app on Windows and get error 90161 on upload from Mac

    Hello,
    I have developed an AIR for iOS app in Flash CC 2014 on Windows. I use MacinCloud managed server for uploading .ipa to store for testing. It is virtual server service with Mac OS. They have Application Loader pre-installed.
    I made certificates [cer converted to p12] on Windows and installed provisional profile. I made another certificate on Mac and added it to provisional profile too.
    I get error when trying to upload from Application Loader:
    ERROR ITMS-90161: "Invalid Provisioning Profile. The provisioning profile included in the bundle com.xxx.yyy [Payload/yyy.app] is invalid. [Missing code-signing certificate.] For more information, visit the iOS Developer Portal."
    Stuck here. Tried to add cert made on Mac. Flash doesn't like it and stops compilation.
    Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Unfortunately I have no experience with Apple Testflight, but I can show you how to host on your own server.
    Create a .plist file on your server with the following data in it:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
      <key>items</key>
      <array>
      <dict>
      <key>assets</key>
      <array>
      <dict>
      <key>kind</key>
      <string>software-package</string>
      <key>url</key>
      <string>http://yourserver.com/path/to/ipa</string>
      </dict>
      </array>
      <key>metadata</key>
      <dict>
      <key>bundle-identifier</key>
      <string>com.yourcompany.yourgame</string>
      <key>bundle-version</key>
      <string>current version of your app</string>
      <key>kind</key>
      <string>software</string>
      <key>title</key>
      <string>name of your app</string>
      </dict>
      </dict>
      </array>
    </dict>
    </plist>
    Then, on your server, make an HTML page with the following code in it:
    <a href="itms-services://?action=download-manifest&url=http://yourserver.com/path/to/plist">click here to install<a>
    Navigate to that page on your device, click the link, and it should work!  (assuming the adhoc provisioning profile you built your app with contains permissions for your device)

    I had the same problem (file was already removed from the gallery, but got upload error when re-publishing, with or without making changes). Here is what I also observed in my situation and how I fixed it.
    1) I went to .Mac http://www.mac.com and logged into my account
    2) On the welcome page I noticed that there was nothing listed under My Gallery, not even photo albums previously uploaded that had nothing to do with my iMovie issue
    3) Navigated directly to my gallery (i.e. "http://gallery.mac.com/username") and made sure previous upload were still there (they were)
    4) In iMovie I made a new project consisting of a single still photo and published it to .mac gallery. It was successfully uploaded.
    5) Repeated step 1) and noticed everything was correctly listed under My Gallery (i.e. old projects and the new one from step 4)
    6) Via iMovie, I re-published the problem movie and it uploaded successfully as well.
    Maybe you are in the same situation I was.

  • Aperture Web Gallery Uploaded to .Mac Site, can't find

    Well, I uploaded my web gallery that I made in Aperture by clicking on the upload to web gallery button in aperture. It loaded them to .Mac but it's not like iPhoto 08 where you can easily find the gallery and email it to friends or change anything. It just dumps them online, and gives a url, but it doesn't link to your .Mac page under web gallery and so if you don't copy and paste the url that aperture gives you after you upload, then your screwed. I know the url, but my question is:
    How do I put up a web gallery like they do in iPhoto 08, where I can just click a button and email the gallery, or email it, change the page, and all that neat stuff that Steve Jobs did in his speech? Do I have to get iPhoto in order to do all of that?
    Thanks,
    Lainey

    Yes, it's an iPhoto '08 feature that they were demo'ing, not an Aperture feature.
