Upload videos using Mobile safari

i am working on a asp.net web app.This app is mainly related with media in which user have to upload images and videos.It works fine on other browsers rather than mobile safari.
I had solved one problem here by using picup app but now problem is how i can upload videos here

You cant. Unless you code an Application in xCode and distribute it to the app store.

I was going through the tutorials on the Flex Mobile Test Drive.Those are great tutorials for sure.
I found one thing missing from there is the way one can upload photos from the mobile device.In general Flex application a browse window comes on using file reference.But what to do on Mobile device. Do I need to use the same file refrence and if yes how to display the folder from the memory card etc.

Browser crash using iPad Safari 8.3 on displaying JSP

I just updated my iOS SDK to 8.3 on my ipad mini.
The problem is my web suddenly crash since I updated my iOS SDK from 8.0 to 8.3. It happen when I select item from dropdownlist. Using mobile safari for testing.
Technology I'm using right now, JSP + struts framework. This is my error message I got so far

Tried the start button available in the video window?
Adblock extension installed?
Safari > Preferences > Extensions
Turn those of and try.
Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Internet plug-ins":
Uncheck the box beside " Stop plug-ins to save power".

Mobile Safari / Webview - closing quicktime media does not return to page

Hello. I have noticed that recently, with the 4.3.1 update, when you click 'Done' in a quicktime player window invoked from a Mobile Safari or webView page, the player controls disappear, but the quicktime logo stays on the screen.
In previous versions of IOS, when you click Done, it returns you to the calling page.
Simple test: create a webpage with a link to a MP3 file. Load it in Safari, click it to invoke the Quicktime player. Pre-4.3.1, when you click Done, the player exists and returns you to the webpage. On 4.3.1, when you click Done, the player remains on the screen, and you have to use Mobile Safari's controls to navigate back to the page.
Anyone know how to revert to pre-4.3.1 behavior?

I haven't submitted a report nor feedback because, quite frankly, I seldomly venture into Apple's sites and I have not submitted a bug report to Apple before, nor would I know how to do so. I also assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that Apple has staff perusing these forums and taking notes and passing them to QA and their developers.
But I agree, submitting a bug report/feedback is a great idea. I'll figure it out and do so tomorrow when I have more time.
By the way, why did '*****,' appear in my post? I didn't use any obscene words.

Mobile Safari should not be the default!

My system thinks that it should use Mobile Safari to open hyperlinks and PDF files. I'm not sure how it decided this, but what can I do to change it back?

Open Safari, select Preferences, click on the General icon i the toolbar, select the desired default from the drop down menu.

If there is an indication of minimum specification in browser support, flash player plugin or other limits that have recently been changed, those should be available from Vimeo support.
The expectation of several things to be continued in an older OS X such as Leopard 10.5.8, has been showing its age and various browsers supporting that system online are fewer now. Safari has no upgrade version for this old of OS X. You may be able to use a different web browser to see if it would work.
There may be a later version of Flash that could work, or maybe not. A few browsers may do OK, I have a version of SeaMonkey (not the PPC version) in my MacBook1.1, running in Leopard 10.5.8. The last version of FireFox is no longer updated, but I have that too. The iCab browser (shareware) may do OK, you can test it since it runs freely w/o license.
For overall better web experience, you may need to look into the MacBook specifications and consider an upgrade to both the OS X system (buy/install retail Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD -- then download Combo Update 10.6.8 v1.1) and see if the computer can support more chip RAM installed. Of course if the hard disk drive is running full, make an external archive of your created content and a backup before considering upgrading the OS X and any applications.
With Snow Leopard 10.6.8, you have better browser support, newer Flash player plugin, and a few features that may be better for your overall experience with the MacBook. However it may ask for more resources than a basic Leopard 10.5.8 system, generally most reviews appear to be good. I have a MacBook1.1 (mid-2006) coreduo 1.83GHz model; it can run Snow Leopard 10.6.8 as a last upgrade & nothing further for mine.
While OS X 10.6.8 is a portal to attempt further OS X upgrades via Mac App Store, etc, the hardware of the early older MacBook may find better usefulness left at Snow Leopard. If you have several older applications written for PPC hardware (they run under Rosetta, an option in Snow Leopard no longer available after it) you may choose to keep the upgrade path at OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard even if there is a hint your MacBook could be upgraded to, say, Lion 10.7.5. You'd lose support for older applications not written to Universal or PPC.

First I thought that video format is wrong, but! If all that 3 videos send via email to iPhone or upload to iDisk and use iDisk.app, all they can played without any errors! So what is my mistake? Are there any more strict limitations on video in HTML for Mobile Safari?

K T, I'm not sure what you're talking about, but since this WORKED on the iPad but DID NOT work on ANY other version of Safari (including the iPhone/iPod version), I don't think that could possibly be the issue. Now, what it COULD be is that I processed these videos on an old PowerMac with Final Cut Studio 1 (so Compressor 2, not Compressor 3) . . . but I thought the H.264 standard has been unchanged for seven years, right? If so, I don't see how that could be it either. But I don't know much about this stuff.
Would compressing the file for "streaming" rather than "download" on an older version of Compressor do anything to the resulting file that would somehow make it incompatible with Safari? And maybe they just tweaked the **** out of the iPad for the big launch and caught that bug, but haven't fixed it on other platforms yet? Like I said, I don't know much about this stuff, but that's the only thing I can think of that made the videos I processed, uploaded, and tested any different than the videos that WORK on all versions of Safari.
To clarify, all the videos I have processed myself ONLY work on the iPad. Videos I download from the Internet, then upload and test with the exact same code, work on all up-to-date versions of Safari (and Chrome too).

If you don't have an iPhone, grab the browser handle and drag it to the left to reduce the width to see how it responds to mobile devices' fixed width browsers .
This will play in all modern browsers and on mobile devices. You can use QuickTime Pro for the OGG or OGV conversion or get the freeware Miro Video Converter...

Unable to upload video files via iframe in safari version 3.0

I m not able 2 upload video files via iframe in safari 3.0.
i m facing this issue when i try 2 upload a video file via an iframe.
file gets uploaded properly if i m not using iframe to upload the same.
this issue is seen only in safari version 3.0 and not in the newer version i.e (3.2.1)
do anyone has the asnwer for this problem.....???

Are you using a BT Home Hub with the IP Phone attached. This holds onto the SIP port that iChat uses. There is no way to get the router to release this port.
I had to return it all to BT as unfit for purpose and switched to Eclipse!

Photo upload in Mobile Safari

It seems that I can't upload a photo through a website in Mobile Safari as the "choose file for upload" box is greyed out so won't let me choose a photo from my phone to upload.
Is there an update in iOS6 to sort this problem out?

Embeded video using video tag for mobile Applications , Phonegap

Hey.
I am trying to get an embeded movie to play when I convert the mobile app to an .apk file.
I can play the video using the dreamweaver "Live" option , and I can watch a video if it has a http:// URL . however the video wont play when I use a rellitive path such as videos/video.mp4
The actual html block looks like this :

When I load onto the mobile device , I get the spinning option, but it never actually loads the video.
Could this be a file path issue ?
Has anyone else tried to embed a video for phonegap dreamweverCC ?. I would be very intrested to know if they got it working.

I was actually trying to use the <code> tag for the entire code block on this form, but it got very messy. I may have deleted / re arranged some code accidently.
In the end I used a hacky way , that I know won’t work in other phones, but you may understand my problem a bit more here :

The video dose actually work and play now, but the path is absolute, rather than relative. The question is, where would “broken_compas.mp4” actually install to on an android , if I hadn’t manually placed the video on a specific folder on the phone? . The only reason this is working is because I had to manually place the video in a folder on the phone.

Your wifi problem sounds very much like the problem I had. The wifi would drop out, the icon showed it was still connected. If I turned it off, I couldn't turn it back on. Another user here pointed me to the problem, which was the wifi cable (the flat cable goint from the card to the motherboard). I found it on ebay for $13 and it's been running fine since I replaced it. This is the repair guide for your machine. The part number will be on there if you click the link.

How do you create a login page using dashcode for the iPhone's mobile safari that will transfer you to the next page?

     Hey I have created a login page in Dashcode for a mobile safari app (aka iphone web app) and I am having trouble since I can not find any useful info about multiple pages. I don't want to use a stack layout view because it is only a login page and I need to check with a database to make sure the user's login info is correct. Right now I have it set up so that it loads another iphone web app project once it validates the info.
     The only problem with this is I am having a good bit of trouble trying to pass values from my php code to javascript or html. For some reason calling the javascript inside the php code makes the actual code inside the app not be called and same with the echo statment for the html.
So I would like to be able to create the app in this way:
Login page > PHP > MS SQL > PHP > UNKNOWN (if I can't get the javascript or html to output both) > Secure info on the next page
     I believe It would be a lot easier if I had the option for a multiple page but instead I am having to load up an entirely new dashcode project. If anyone knows a better way please let me know. Or if anyone knows a link to good information on passing values from php to javascript, because I couldn't get any of the code I tried to work, I would really appreciate it.

OK. This is weird--but I should be used to that, and just grateful that it seems to work (for now).
What I had done is FTPd some image files to my site using Filezilla, but when I had tried to access them, I was unsuccessful. I am almost sure that I used the same url (and variations of it) as you suggested, namely,  http://mysite.verizon.net/username/filename , and it either did not work, or gave me the "Page under construction", or, in some cases asked me for my username and password.
But, when I did it this time, it worked. So I probably had something off, but I can now do what I want.
By the way, if you'll permit another question, while on the site-builder site, it said that there was a "Web Photo Manager", and said that "To download the Web Photo Manager: Open the Site Builder application and go to the All My Sites page. Click on the Web Photo Manager link (listed under Advanced Building Tools )." I can't find it--would you happen to know where it is?
In any case, thanks a lot for all your help--it solved my problem.
