Uploaded IOS5 and all my Notes have been deleted...help

I have a Iphone 4 and upgraded to IOS5 and noticed that it deleted all my notes..How can I get them back???..not on the Notebook...what kind of upgraded OS is this? Help

You probably deleted them yourself and they weren't actually doubled. If you have a recent backup, restore that backup (you may want to get any pictures off the phone since the backup) to see if your notes are contained in the backup.

M-My notes had doubled so. Deleted the doubled up notes when I went on the app late they had all dissapeared my phine and ipad have since synced with icloud again is thee anyway of retrieving them I am desperate

All my apps have been deleted and I can't install them back.

All my apps have been deleted when I turned my phone off and back on. However, my storage stayed the same as if I still had those apps. I am unable to re install my apps back. How do I get my apps back?

powering off your phone and back on won't make you lose apps or pictures.
Are you restoring your phone from an icloud backup?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is searchiong for a network. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There are a few steps listed in this article you did not mention trying, they may be able to help the issue.
If you see No Service in the status bar of your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you are backing up to your computer, check in iTunes/Edit/Preferences/Devices, if there is more than your recent iPhone 6 backup listed. If yes, transfer the photos from your phone to the computer first, then restore from the backup. After that, transfer the recovered photos again to your computer and sync all of the transferred pictures to your phone, using iTunes and the settings in the photo pane.

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer regularly. Your contacts will be in whatever program ( outlook, address book, etc) that you have been synxing. Sync them back.
If you have failed to sync them, then they are likely gone. You can try restoring from backup.

Part of a servlet i am working on gets values from a select box off an html page, i am trying to use if else statement so depending what value the select a int variable is assigned a number.

Just to expound a bit, you have:
if ( levelForm.equals("0")) //...
else if ( levelForm.equals("1")) //...
else if ( levelForm.equals("2")) //...
else if ( levelForm.equals("3")) //...What happens if levelForm.equals("4")? or "5", or null? It may be 'impossible' from your point of view, knowing how the value gets set, but the compiler can't know that and needs a default value, such as:
int numRental=3;
if ( levelForm.equals("0")) //...
else if ( levelForm.equals("1")) //...
else if ( levelForm.equals("2")) //...
else if ( levelForm.equals("3")) //...Or
if ( levelForm.equals("1")) numRental = 1;
else if ( levelForm.equals("2")) numRental = 2;
else numRental = 3;So the compiler knows that there will be exactly 3 options, and one of them will come true (if all the others fail, the last else will be executed).
ps One of the best reasons to use .equals with Strings is to prevent null pointer errors. The way you have it is backwards to protect against the null pointer. A safer method when comparing a variable of type string versus a constant string would be to put the constant String first:
if("1".equals(levelForm)) since you know the constant String can't be null. Just a pointer.

About Safari 4 (that I have installed and uninstalled - see my other recent post), as you suggest, it may well be the case that all my posts were erased when I installed it. I can't confirm this, but the coincidence is revealing.
This is puzzling for me that Safari would cause all this, but then I'm no expert in that matter.
And also, you make me think of it. A few months ago, when I updated Safari (I can't remember from which version to which version), I couldn't login to Apple Discussions anymore with Safari. At the time, strangely, I succeeded login only through using Firefox. And, in fact, one of my last posts concerned that issue. Eventually, for some reasons, things came back to normal and I could login to Apple Discussions with Safari 3.2.1.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(
How can I sync using USB? Right now when i click on the info tab for my iPhone in my iTunes this is the answer that I get -- I am a little unclear as to what it means.

Apple took in my Macbook for repair, but all my files have been deleted? How do I get the data back?

So, I gave my macbook to apple for a system repair, due to a short circuit in my laptop, but all my previous settings and data have all been deleted. I recently just got this computer this september, so I have not purchased an external hard drive to back up my data, but I wanted to know if there is any way to restore all the lost data?

It is extremely likely that Apple had to restore everything to the way it was originally when you purchased the Mac in order to repair.
Since you decided not to purchase the external drive for the backup, all of your data is now lost.
Maybe now that you have lost all your data, you might reconsider the necessity to backup in the future to prevent this from happening again.

Ok i'm quite frustrated with this issue now.
A couple of weeks ago my iPhone 4S thought it would be a good idea to wipe all of my phone contacts. After some playing around I just turned the iCloud off and then on again and cosequently everyone's phone number in my contacts returned.
Now yesterdsy as I backed out from a note I had just typed up in the notes app obviously, my iPhone thought it would be a good idea to wipe this month's entire history of notes I had written out so essntially i've lost all notes in May. I dd the same again, turn off ICloud and turn back on again but it didn't work. I did all the little things like turn the whole device off, nothing worked. Yesterday was the 17th May.
Now I saw that I had manually backed up my IPhone to a computer on the 11th May so 6 days prior, so I decided to erase all content from phone and restore from there assuming my notes would return, albeit, being behind everywhere else by 6 days. However I was shocked to find my notes had not returned. I then frantically tried to restore back to yesterday's restore point but realised there wasn't a period for this. However, the ICloud had automatically backed up my data on the 16th May so the day before yesterday and when I realised that was the case, I restored to there but despite getting most back of what I had lost over that 6 day period, my notes written in May were STILL nowhere to be seen.
Now I have notes set to back up with the ICloud on my IPhone but all of my notes in May seem to have been mysteriously deleted and I cannot retrieve them again. What do I do now and why has this happened? I'm extremely frustrated and need answers ASAP.

Now your notes are setup to backup to icloud, but if you go to icloud.com and sign in and do not see your notes it may mean that "before" your notes were backed up somewhere else or perhaps nowhere. Go to notes app and click accounts under notes and find out what accounts you have. Check all those by logging in their respective servers.
Yahoo.com for yahoo, gmail.com for google. If you see group "on my iphone" - those are not synced up separately, but there is a way to retrieve those from backup by using instruction here

You may need to change word notes when in article it says contacts and item number 9 may not work as successfully as with contacts, but at least you will see if notes are in the itunes backup.

If those photos were part of the camera roll, they were part of the backup as well and you can restore from the latest backup you made on the old computer. After that transfer the photos to the new PC, follow this article: iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Then sync again to the new one, which will erase the phone again.
You can also try to copy the backup folder from the old computer to the new one and see if the old backups get recognized, check this article to find the location on your PC:
Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes
If the photos were not taken with the phone, your data is gone, photos you sync from iTunes to the phone are not included in the backup.

All of my Notes have been deleted. "answers" online do not help

All of my Notes were deleted because they were in Mail. They were deleted off mail inbox, then iCloud sync deleted off my iphone. No longer in trash. I use time machine. I don't have a CONTAINERS folder in library. please help. I can not locate the Notes in my TM (or in Finder).

Most likely you have launched iPhoto with the External hard drive not available and it has created a new library that contains only your recent photos -- launch iPhoto while depressing the option (alt) key and point to your library on the external hard drive
You probably will have to move the "new" library to the desktop and merge it with your old library using iPhoto library manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/
To find the "new" library quit iPhoto and in the finder go menu ==> go to folder /volumes and drag the "new" iPhoto library to the desktop so you can access it
