Uploaded music to IPOD but no music listed when finished

I reset my IPOD last night and then promptly started the sync again to move all of my library back on it. When it finished I started it up expecting to see my music, and there is nothing on it. I checked the hold function and it was turned off. So I tried the sync again and it itunes says that it is downloading the music, but nothing is on the IPOD this morning.
I upgraded to the new IPOD software last night.
Anyone have any ideas?

Songs not appearing in Music list when imported

When importing a CD (or even purchasing via the iTunes store) the new tracks do not appear in my Music list, even though the songs are sorted by date added - the only way I can view new tracks as they import from a CD is by signing out of the iTunes store!!!
Surely this cannot be right?
For info, I have not paid a subscription to "Song Match" (or whatever that completely useless feature is called!) - I've read that that feature has caused a similar problem for some people.
Oh, and does anyone have any inside information as to whether Apple have taken notice about the plethora of complaints about the dreadful iTunes 11? I for one have already submitted 3 complaints to them... so far!

If you both want to use the same library (all songs, movies, playlists, ratings, etc.), do this…
1 - Quit iTunes.
2 - Move your entire /Users/'me'/Music/iTunes/ folder to /Users/Shared/.
3 - Move all the folders/files in /Shared/iTunes media/ to /Users/Shared/iTunes/iTunes media/ folder.
4 - Hold Option and launch iTunes.
5 - Select *Choose library...*
6 - Select the /Users/Shared/iTunes/ folder then click Choose.
Everything should work fine.
Quit iTunes then log into your wife's account.
1 - Hold Option and launch iTunes.
2- Select *Choose library…*
3- Select the /Users/Shared/iTunes/ folder then click Choose.
That's it! If you are using Fast User switching, only one person at at time can use iTunes.
Any changes made by either person will be seen by the other.

Without a rescue email address, you can't reset them yourself. Nobody on these boards can reset them for you.

How do I delete one song that is on my ipod, but is not listed on itunes?

Standard problem of having non-itunes-purchased songs on my ipod which I can't transfer over onto my new laptop, or not at least without taking a day off to read Apple's convoluted instructions and try to swap files here there and everywhere. Very user-friendly. Wouldn't it be helpful to have a delete option when you hold down the main button on a song rather than Add to "on the go" etc. Delete would be helpful. Thanks in advance to anyone who knows how to help.

There is no way to delete songs from an iPod.
Nothing will be touched on your iPod in regards to iTunes content with the first sync with iTunes on your new computer if you transfer your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer following the simple instructions included with the link provided. Certainly as a Windows user you maintain a backup for all important data which should include your iTunes library? Important regardless the platform but even more so with Windows due to constant virus, adware, and spyware concerns. Or do most Windows users start with a new computer from scratch without transferring any data from an old computer to a new computer due to constant virus, adware, and spyware concerns?

My classic started not playing tunes then blocked out music list,when i plugged into my sons computor it restored itself for about five minutes then locked me out until the battery ran out,so we restored factory settings,now only the apple logo and noise

Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to your computer.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then try again.

Restoring ipod but it gets stuck when updating songs

doing a restore. starts to copy songs and then gets stuck and doesnt go further. it says its updating - do not disconnect. ipod screen has same message but it is not charging. any advice thanks.

For Mac computer
1. Open the disk utility, hope your iPod appears there (left hand side), highlight it
2. Go to Tab “Partition”, click either “Delete” or “Partition”, if fails, skip this step and go to 3
3. Go to Tab “Erase” , choose Volume Format as “MAC OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4
4. Same as step 3, but open the “Security Options....” and choose “Zero Out Data” before click Erase. It will take 1 to 2 hours to complete.
5. Eject your iPod and do a Reset
6. Open the iTunes 7 and click “Restore”
If does not solve, please find a PC with iTunes 7 preinstalled, and do the restore there

Are the apps/games compatible with your model iPod and iOS?
Do you have restrictions set that prevent installing the apps? Settings>General>Restrictions
Have you successfully synced apps from that iTunes library to your computer before?

Trouble uploading music

Difficulty uploading music. When I send to Ipod from playlist I get a message saying "device has been disconnected or is not working." When I open the Ipod on my pc it states device is working properly, but only shows internal storage. I have tried restarting pc. Made sure Ipod has the latest updates.

Upload music er

Hi.
I've just today bought the Creative Zen Vision M mp3 player. I'm having a problem uploading music. When trying to send an album onto the player through Media Explorer everything will send apart from the st track, which will start with 0. then the song title. The error it gives me is "An unknown error has occured (0xC00D277F). The operation was not completed." Then I press ok and it uploads the rest of the songs from the album without problem.
I've tried uploading different albums but get the same error.
How can I fix this?

I tried using the Add Media option instead and that uploads the first tracks, but it's splitting one album into two, with 9 in one directory and 2 in the other on the player when all the tags are exactly the same other than the track names. And also when going to play an album on my player the tracks are not in order. Surely the songs should be played by file name, i can't go through every album adding track numbers it'd take forever :\Message Edited by marklcfc on 03-3-200602:6 PM

Song displays in iPod but not in iTunes...

I want to delete a song from my iPod, here's the problem: the song shows up in my iPod but will not display when connected to iTunes. I've checked under Artist, Album, etc. Not a hard search, just for some reason it won't display..unless, I make the song On-The-Go from the iPod. Once I connect my iPod to my PC the song is there..but only in the On-The-Go list, not in the iPod music folder.
Any ideas?

I too have this problem and it only seems to have started happening since the most recent iTunes updates. Podcasts are no longer listed under podcasts on my iPod and they appear under music and podcast playlists. There is no longer any indication of which podcast have and have not been played. I have done all the 5 R's. Installed older versions of iTunes 7 with no solution. I have also tried installing older versions of iTunes but they will not work (with Vista). Let me know if you find a solution.

Won't play some songs on ipod but will in itunes

This is concerning an ipod w/color (4th generation I guess)............
All of a sudden, some of the songs won't play on the iPod but they will play when I connect the iPod to itunes and the song list comes up. When I try to play the same song just on the ipod itself it skips down to the next song.

i got the same problem, happened with "Now its on" and currently with "My Wife, My *****, My Girl", both by Tech N9NE. i ended up just getting now its on from limewire. i think the song for download might be faulty becuase i even deleted the song from my computer and bought it again, but to no avail. as well, i took the song off my ipod and put it on again, which also didn't work. I suggest just finding it on the internet in some other way

No Suggestion list when it's in modules

As title... the suggestion list doens't come out when Squiggly is loaded from modules. There was a related post http://forums.adobe.com/thread/501297?tstart=0 not sure if it's the same bug.

A module X loads the SpellUI from "creationComplete" event and this moudle X is loaded from its parent window when users click on the menu (trigger to load the module X). I can see the red underline indicating the error but no suggestion list when right-click on the mouse button. However, if I move the same SpellUI code into the parent window, it works fine. As I mentioned earlier, it probably is the same bug that was posted earlier but not so sure about it.

In your case, it would be better to have transferred the library to an external drive from the PC. Then, connect it to the iMac and put the library onto the Music folder.
You used Migration Assistant, and it creates a new user with the transferred data.
Open  > Log Out, and log in the new user. Then, open a Finder window, choose Music in the sidebar and you will see the iTunes library. Now, you have to move the iTunes library to /Users/Shared (select Go menu -in the menu bar- > Go to Folder, type that and copy the iTunes library to it). Finally, log in the other user, go to the same folder and move the library to the Music folder.
After doing that, open System Preferences > Users and Groups, choose the user created by Migration Assistant and press the - button to remove it. This is easier if you have an external drive
