Uploading an iCal Calendar into iWeb?

If you first select the calendar on the left, so that its background is highlighted blue/grey, when you make a new events they should be added to that calendar.

Is there a way to merge several iCal calendars into one?

Anyone know if there is a way to merge several iCal calendars into one Calendar? I've separated a few different calendars for things and want to merge all of those events into one universal Calendar. I asked Apple Support and they stated there isn't a way to do this. So, I'm throwing this out there in case someone knows a way.

Found the answer after troubleshooting on my own. I was able to do this on a PC by using Office 2007 and the calendar in there. I also had to setup Mobile Me to the calendar on my PC which was fairly easy.
What you'll have to do is have Mobileme sync your calendar data with Outlook.
Then after they sync in Outlook... manually select each imported calendar, choose to view all appointments, select all (to select all of your events), copy, then paste them into the main "Calendar".
Follow this step for all of your calendars and it works like charm.
The only thing left to do after you've copied them all is to delete the old calendars after you have all of the events copied.
This may be able to be done in iCal too using similar methods, however it was really easy for me to do it in Windows with Outlook 2007.
Just keep in mind that you want to view all events from each separate calendar and just copy those into your main calendar.

How to publish an iCal calendar into an iWeb page?

I want to include an iCal calendar in an iWeb page. I know this should be VERY straightforward but can't figure it out. How do I accomplish this?

I'm having a problem getting the iCal to publish to iWeb, so that I can have a calendar on my website with rss feed for new dates. So I put in my mobile me account name, and I do have several calendars, but there's nothing that looks like I can specify which calendar. Please don't tell me that I have to use one calendar, because I don't want my personal with my court, my court with my work, my work with my kids etc. is there a way to maintain the "public" calendar. I'm confused.
Assuming this is doable, I did try the widget, but i keep getting an error message that page not found, we're sorry but we cannot find the ical you requested, its possible that it has been deleted or renamed.

Imbed ical calendar into webpage

is there a way to set up an iweb page so that an ical calendar uploaded to mobileme can be shown? currently, i just have a page that says "click here to view the calendar," but i would like the actual calendar to be shown on the page.

In iWeb, choose an html snippit and add this code.

In the code above you will see "add in your calendar site here". In iCal, you must have the calendar you want on your site published with mobileme. In iCal right click on the published calendar name on the left and copy the ULR to the clipboard. Back in iWeb highlight "add in your calendar site here" and paste your ULR. Make sure you leave the parentheses.
Once you publish your website, you will see the calendar on the page you placed it on. Whenever you make a change in your iCal, you should right click on the name of the calendar and refresh.
Whenever you update, it will automatically up date your website.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. See this demo page for an example and how to embed a Google Calendar. You can do the same with an iCal calendar but you can't resize it down to a more useable size like you can a Google calendar.

Applescript to suck ical dates into iweb

I was referred to this forum from the iweb forum (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2513935&tstart=0).
Here's what I would like to do: I am an athletic director and would I have entered all of my school's athletic contests into iCal. I would like to set up something in which iWeb can pull the events out of iCal (I have mobileme) into a "week at a glance" type of display on our athletics page (made with iweb). Ideally it would automatically update so that as events are completed, the next events would show up. I don't want to embed a calendar.
I want something that looks like the table on the right of this page: www.twu.ca/athletics.
Is there an applescript that could help me pull dates from iCal into a text box in iWeb?

You may be able do this with an Applescript. However there is not enough information supplied to know.
How are ther events formatted in iCal? Do they contain the full name of the person? Do they say how old they are? Are the people already in Address Book, or would they all be new cards?

Importing iCal Calendar into Google

I don't know if this is a problem with iCal or with Google, but here goes:
I'm trying to sync my iCal with my Google calendars... I want to import what I currently have in iCal into Google calendars so that everything with be in sync. I export my calendars from iCal, and then import them into Google. Some calendars work fine, but for others, I get this error message:
Processed zero events.
Failed to import events: Unable to process your iCal/CSV file..
Any ideas on what I can do? I tried it both before and after upgrading to Snow Leopard, and no change.

Thanks for the suggestion with BusySync. The problem I see with that is that it isn't an iCal plugin, but it launches an entirely separate application instead of iCal.
As for the problem at hand I'm wondering if it's related to repeating future/past events and/or the file size because of that?

Embed iCal into iWeb through HTML snippet after Lion OSX update

How do I embed my published iCal calendar into iWeb through an HTML snippet AFTER the Lion OSX update last month? I use iWeb to create my classroom website but it no longer has my interactive calendar for my students. Help!

I am curious about this too, does anyone know how to embed a Lion iCal Calendar into iWeb?
I found an old walkthrough of how to do it, but on the published site it just opens ical and offers a subscription, you cannot actually see the calendar on the web page it is embedded on.

Can't import ical dates into iphoto calendar

Hi all,
I'm trying to make an iphoto calendar for a friend and I'm running into a frustrating problelm. My friend emailed me an ical birthday calendar which he would like to have included in the iphoto calendar. I imported the ical calendar into my own ical as a new calendar. I have created my calendar in iphoto but I cannot import these dates into it. When I go to settings and click the calendar tab I am given the option of which ical calendars I would like to import to my calendar. I see two, one is my own normal calendar and the other is the birthday calendar sent to me by my friend. I check the birthday calendar and then click ok and ical appears to be importing the dates but when I look at my calendar the dates have not imported. If I try importing my normal calendar I have no problem. What's going on here??? Please help I am getting really frustrated.

There are many video formats. iPhoto can't read all of them; in fact, it can't read most of them. Here's something that can:

On the other hand, the videos are just files. You can copy them anywhere you want in the Finder.

I am so behind the times....sorry. I know Apple now has iCloud. So where does that leave me with an iWeb designed website and it's hosted on mobile me???? The iCal calendar is already not working for some reason. Is it true that the iWeb program is going away all together? Is there no way to transfer it to the iCloud? Why would they come out with iLife 11 with iWeb if they have no intentions of continuing iWeb????? HELP!!!!! I have to make sure the site is active. Well, it leaves you still being able to host your site on MobileMe until June next year. iCloud and MobileMe will exist together until this time. This gives you time to find alternative hosting for your site.
iCloud will NOT be providing hosting, which is exactly why Apple gave MMe users plenty of notice that this would be happening so that they could prepare and move to other alternative hosting.
What you need to do is have a look at web hosts such as GoDaddy and HostExcllence and purchase a domain name from them as well as hosting and you can upload your website here with no problems. Either publish to a local folder or use the iWeb built in ftp to upload.
iWeb is an application and if you have it you can still use it. It works with Lion and Snow Leopard. No you don't have to re-build. Continue to use iWeb.
Yes, iLife 11 was brought out, but did you not notice that iWeb and iDVD were not updated as part of this? They upgraded GarageBand, iPhoto and iMovie but not the others, so even though it is iLife 11, it is still iWeb 09.
Your website will be okay hosted on MobileMe until June next year and after that you'll need to upload to another host. iWeb will continue and you can still use it - you don't need to re-build all your sites.

Cannot upload a local iCal calendar to iCloud

I have encountered a problem with consolidating and migrating my calendars to iCloud. Previously I had been using MobileMe, but like a lot of iOS device users, I had made the mistake of also synching calendars and contacts locally. This had the effect of creating an "on my mac" calendar, which I did not realize for quite some time that I had been using.
In the process of migrating my MobileMe account to iCloud, I realized this and set about uploading the local calendar to iCloud. I used the following procedure:
1. Highlight the "on my mac" calendar and export it to an ics file.
2. From iCal, select File>Import and select the ics file I had just created
3. In the window that opens, selecting one of the iCloud calendars to import the events into
However, what I find is that the calendar hardly imports any of its hundreds of events. I rely on this calendar to keep track of events that I attended in the past, but it seems like no events in this local calendar prior to January 1, 2012 got imported into iCloud. I don't want to try and re-import it, since that might create duplicates of the events that have already succesfully imported.
Is iCloud not allowing me to import old events? Is there a way I can import the entire calendar to iCloud? Please advise.

I doubt it will make any difference, I did it ever so slightly different.
Create a new empty calendar from the iCal file menu, select which account you want to create it in.
To copy a calendar ctrl-click on it from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button (top left corner of iCal) and choose export (export it to your desktop for ease)
Double click the exported file and choose the new empty calendar to import them into.
