Uploading and saving documents experiencing epic failure

Anytime I try and upload any file to the internet, the beachball appears and firefox and safari stop responding. The same thing happens if I try and save images from the internet.I cleared all downloading history, cleared the cookies etc. I dont think the problem is with the firefox/safari. Today I tried to save a word document and word stopped responding. How do I figure out what the problem is?

Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. *Make sure you always have a minimum of 10% to 15% free disk space at all times.*

you can access the SRDemo application through help--> check for updates. This application uses ADF Faces to upload documents to the middle tier server.

It depends a bit on which version of Captivate you used to develop your modules and also which version of Flash Player you targeted when publishing your modules from Captivate. Say for example you use Captivate 5 and publish to Flash Player 10. Then your end user would need to have Flash Player 10 on their computer. It shouldn't matter if their version is 10.0.0 or 10.1.0 or 10.1.3 - just as long as it's a 10. If they only have Flash Player 9 then they will need to upgrade.
The "Access to Adobe.com is restricted" is most likely because the HTML that launches the Captivate SWF sees that you have targeted FP10 and the user only have FP9. Then it tries to direct a call to Adobe in order to present an "Upgrade to latest version of Flash" dialog for the user. This traffic is most likely denied by your IT department.
The first step is to find out which version of Flash Player is the most prevalent in your organization. If it is Flash Player 9 then simply select that when publishing from Captivate 5. If Flash Player 8 is the most used in your organization and you have CP5 or CP5.5 then you are in big trouble since FP8 is not supported from CP5 and CP5.5.

My contacts from my iphone 4S are not being uploaded and saved to iCloud.

Why are the contacts that are on my 4S iphone NOT being uploaded and saved to iCloud contacts? Yes, contacts toggle is turned to "on" on my phone. Yes, I have updated manually while plugged in and connected to my WiFi as well as left it plugged in and locked to automatically update iCloud. Still no contacts in my iCloud folder even though I have 379 contacts sitting on my phone.

I'm no expert by far, but have had issues with this before.
IMAP should allow your iPhone to remove messages from the server.
But have you made sure both the iPhone and Outlook are connecting via IMAP?
If your iPhone does remove the messages from the server, but your computer is using POP, then the computer may download the email before it is removed form the server by your iPhone.
This was my issue, that my computer had already downloaded the message, and POP does not check later if it is deleted.
If you delete a message from Outlook does it disappear on the iPhone?
Alternativly you may need to check the email server settings.
Who is your email provider?
They may be able to check if IMAP allows you to remove emails.

I'm sorry for the issues you're having.
It sounds like you're doing the following:
In CreatePDF web application, choosing "Export PDF..." and exporting to XLSX
Successfully completing the conversion process.
Trying to select "Download" (see image below) yet nothing is happing.
Did I understand that correctly?
What if you close this dialog, select the XLSX in the file list and then choose "Download" from the toolbar (in between "Open" and "Send for Signature"). Does that work?

Why does new version of Adobe reader for Windows 8 not give signed and saved document the "signed" extension when you save the file after placing a signature... this worked on an earler version.

I have upgraded my PC to new Windows 8 machine .. Now when I place a signature on document and save it does not automatically place a "signed" extension on the filename. Previous version on my machine always did this.
Why is this , can I set up my new version to do same...

When you "save as" as opposed to simply "save", there is sometimes a different location for the file to be saved. When you "save as" to the same location as an original, you will bewarned that a file already exists with that name and be asked if you're sure you want ot overwrite the original file. If you didn't see that when "saving as", you probably saved the signed file to a different location.

Upload and attach documents within dialog programs

I need to include an 'Add attachment" option on one of my screens. (I am busy developing a stand-alone labour relations system in R/3. The system is case number driven) The option should allow for the user to upload related documents which should be linked to a case number. The user should then be able to view these documents later during display mode.
Should I use one of the DOCU_* Function Modules to attach the document to the case number? Should the documents be uploaded to the server first?
Is this at all possible?
Your advise will be appreciated and examples are also welcome.

I think you should use the Services for Object: it's the tool allows to manage many functions to be linked to a document (object): to create note, add attachment and ....
In the standard the icon to run "Services for Object" is up on the left of the screen (see FB03 for example).
I've never used them, but I think it isn't very hard. I know you can create it for a custom transaction.

Uploading and Downloading Document

Hi Experts,
I Have a requirement like Uploading the Document in a Module Pool Application(Custom), the document can be in any format like PDF,DOC,XLS,TXT with unpredictable format. While Creating the Document in the The Business person will Upload the Document and it need to save in the data base. The Document should be viewed in Display Mode.
Please Suggest that is it Possible By using normal ABAP or do i need to move the Development to Work flow/DMS (Document Management System).

Try FM, ARCHIVFILE_CLIENT_TO_SERVER.
This will enable us to upload file from desktop and store it in al11 path.

Downloading and saving documents using the latest version of Firefox is problematic.

I am having bad experiences in downloading documents using the latest version of Firefox. When one downloads one is offered the option of opening or saving the document. When you select save it does not give you the option of saving it to a folder on your hard drive. You need to open it anyway in order to save it to a desired location. If you simply hit save its only saved to a temporary or downloads folder - and these can never be found again once you close the doc. Last night I lost many hours of work on a document in this way. It would be great if this could be sorted because I enjoy using Firefox. But I have now lost several documents inadvertantly and there is extra work in saving items - which is beginning to be quite a drag. Kind regards, Howard Varney. .

You are indeed up to date. Firefox stopped using that address as its default start page when 4.0 came out - the page you're using may be (wrongly) assuming that if you're looking at it, you must still be on Firefox 3.6.

Upload and displaying document file and image file with oracle portal

Dear All,
Could anyone please tell me how to displaying document file and image file that I've stored to database (8.1.7) using oracle portal. (I use intermedia data type).
I've tried to follow the instruction given by Oracle LiveDemo, but it came with failure. (the image or document won't show up).

Grapher and saved documents

Hello ...
When re-opening saved Grapher documents, Grapher suffers extreme lags. I experience beachballs just opening the documents (which could take almost a minute) and also when zooming (which can take many seconds per jump). Moreover, the "center origin" button seems completely ineffective ... a significant annoyance, because Grapher sets the origin way off screen, despite the graphs having been saved centered.
These aren't complicated documents. (A few conic section graphs meant to be used in a classroom demonstration.) No animations, no 3d, not even any color settings. Yet Grapher's responsiveness is almost painful.
These problems occurred on both a PowerMac G5 2x2.0 (1.5GB RAM) and a PowerBook G4 (512MB RAM), both running Mac OS X 10.4.5.
My only workaround was to re-create my graphs in new Grapher windows and keep them open (stored the Dock). Even then, Grapher could be pokey-slow. And I lived in fear of accidentally closing a window instead of minimizing it. If the program had unexpectedly quit, I would've been totally devastated.
So much for impressing the students ... although, at one point, I'd clicked the "Zoom in" button a few times too many, and even after I'd stepped away from the keyboard, Grapher continued to lag its way through the zoom steps. One student voiced his amazement at my ability to control the computer without even touching it.

When you completely remove an old version and install a new version you lose the trail to files you created That you would see in Open Recent.
The actual PDF are still on the computer. You just have to use open File and Browse to the location you saved them Open Recent is equivalent to a Breadcrumb Trail. When you remove old application and install a new, that breadcrumb trail is swept away.
On the other hand f you allow the installer to install the new often the new is written over top the Old and only new components are actually replaces. In that case Open Recent should work just fine, though no always.

               In Webdynpro u r using attribute of type Resource ,which is binded to FileUpload UI element. From this attribute, u get file in Input stream format which can be converted into byte array like this

In webservice u can take a the byte array as input parameter where the uploaded file will be passed as byte array .
In DB u can store it as BLOB .

Select the Icon (or name in list view). Its name is a text_edit box. Click inside the name to place the insertion point. Use Delete, forward-delete, and type to change the name to your liking. _OR_
Select the Icon (or name in List View). Choose GetInfo from the File menu. The "Name & Extension" box allows you to use standard text_edit Delete, forward-delete and typing to change the name to whatever you wish. Since the box is a little larger than the name in Icon view or list view, it may be easier to accomplish using this method. When you close the GetInfo window, the name will be updated.
This applies to ANY Icon, including the Icon for your Hard Drive, should you wish to change that as well. (You cannot change the name of a mounted DVD, because the entire device is Read-Only.)
